what's going on everyone it's me i really need a better camera rambler here and today we return to alpha hearts of iron four but today we're playing the bismarck reich i don't know if this has been a mod before for some reason my brain seems to think that there's been a mod called that but it's been newly uploaded to the workshop and it looks like it's going to be quite fun so in this alternative history uh bismarck gets assassinated and germany never forms into a nation hi everyone just very briefly if you haven't yet pre-ordered or are going to purchase crusader kings 3 within the first few that's pretty much all of the lord that you need to know uh i will go i will tell you a little bit more though the bismarck was uh killed by an englishman as a result prussia declared kerfuffle on england next to prussia was austria italy and the ottoman empire there was france and spain alongside england the war is over with defeat for prussia and his allies many agreements were signed everything in prussia was ruined six years after the agreements were signed there was a major crisis in prussia it was called black tuesday fortunately this crisis ended in two years our economy recovered now we have two goals the first is to host the germans in a united country and the second is to prevent a possible crisis as we have prevented it now okay so the more that does say in the mod description uh that he english isn't his first language so so things sound a bit weird that's why but there we go we have the might and the great and mightily trained prussian army uh warning for economic collapse uh-oh and a prussian staff so there are loads of different uh unique focus trees you've even got something like the uh the the french um empire however something that i loved you'd love to see it so uh england and france got into a bit of a kerfuffle again and uh england won and formed the kingdom of normandy just as like a fu to france uh you also have america was never united and it's still all kind of split up here and you have the dominion of america under the uk but yeah we're going to play as prussia as the mod is centered around germany etc i think it's only fair and it looks uh like it's going to be quite fun you have all the various german states you still have the kingdom of austria uh what do we have here you have oh victor emmanuel over there napoleon the fourth yep right but that's pressure she'll probably focus on getting our economy back on track eh what is this button diplomacy it's one of the main bodies of the country no one can govern the war just take out like these three just just to get us going and then you have to do preparations for each single one you want to do too it's a i've bit like another year at least before i can actually do pushed back from them um i decided to change the my division templates and then they were like oh i guess they're weak now let's attack them please no but then now they're very out of equipment it should just be a case of strolling on in to take a couple of tiles right you think so in fact if i just did a boop oh that's not good look at that yeah yeah they're not equipped for defense i don't i don't get it don't get it not equipped for defense my ass what are their divisions mine are better i outnumber them my divisions are better i have aerial superiority what else do i do oh wow japan's gonna write for itself huh oh my god okay and there's me not even able to defeat the bavaria i swear i'm not bad at the game attacking from multiple directions area superiority and we uh they have an intel advantage over me that might be why i don't have any intel i haven't been able to afford to go down that route maybe i should though this game must have changed something to do with the divisions i've never taken casualties so fast in my life oh my okay maybe the tank division will help save the day john take frankfurt for me guderian supported with the infantry of course okay or just stop the attack whatever is the tank in combat no why would it be why would you prioritize that it doesn't make any sense does it ah well at least we encircled some now we need to do is just encircle this whole lot uh then i think with i think we're fine yeah we can circle them now so they're screwed they're gonna they should suffer attrition maybe this whole uh you lose 150 political power every time you do stuff like it it's just crippling i yeah there needs to be some balancing please the one thing i haven't liked this whole game is fuel so i'm quite pleased about that okay another encirclement is done i think we should just be able to crush them soon i hope so because i'm running out of manpower and i don't have uh the ability to have any political power to recruit any more troops all right we're fine now good i'm still taking an insane amount of casualties uh maybe i need to get filled hospitals but i've never had to do that before like i've never taken casualties so quickly boom goes the dynamite then we do the old reunification of germany boom okay we'll be known as the german empire in 1942 brilliant then what do we get two research slots yay oh good we get cause well at least there'll be some manpower yeah i still have a base change of negative political power if i choose to do a national focus it's a [ __ ] it's less than optimal let's just say oh sure thank you a little common and immediately i'm quite a chunky boy i think i'll probably have to go after the french oh the french empire's uh preemptively done that okay right i guess i now try and hold if they choose to attack me i don't have various superiority oh dear but that's why i call in austria hungary thank you and immediately we get there air force which should help i'm guessing if my tanks were to attack it would just go horribly yes oh okay of course the attack attack i don't get it how's my army doing better against the french than against the bavarians bulgaria joined it'd be nice if i had the option whether or not they joined or not but sure sure okay um fine if i can just push across the river then i think it's game over okay i spearhead them down here and they attack up there i'm just gonna do this manually blitz free to parody what you gonna do to stop me friends you can't do nothing cause i'm great taking party i'm rather stretching myself though look at this like this little snack if i'm careful i might be able to encircle the whole of the northern front that'd be a nice boon why uh oh i didn't actually declare war on that so unless that's a time unless it's a timed event i didn't i didn't oh they just randomly joined the commonwealth and everything became united brilliant um that's really balanced and fun sorry as you can tell i might be getting a bit tired with uh with the mod at the moment it's definitely a well made mod especially for one person but there definitely needs to be some um balancing i think to this uh so you know some reworking of some of the focuses oh and now the uk air force has joined too haven't they so it'll be unlikely we can push through just take paris and i'll forgive you yeah how many planes they have now five foul oh what the [ __ ] five thousand enemy support planes seven thousand fighters fifteen hundred bombers meanwhile i can't in i can't destroy oh we've finally done it we're finally finally taking down the encircled peoples uh my mission is just to take down france i there's no way i'm going to be able to enable invade the uk and with the amount of planes that they have unfair between 20 to 30 000 planes but we are breaking france despite despite that bonkers aerial superiority okay the netherlands just joined the commonwealth oh oh bully denmark destroyed the key uh accept gaelic treaty and create a french puppet state there we go sure that's completely balanced and not broken at all german constitutional french kingdom nice i think that's where i'm going to leave it for the scenario i i can't i won't be able to take out the united kingdom i don't have a navy and i don't have an air force capable of fighting them um which is unfortunate but yeah they have like 500 ships and 25 000 planes so i would eventually just get i wouldn't be able to attack i couldn't i wouldn't be able to capitulate them basically um yeah i'll even mod i'll leave a link to the mod in the description
