Lifeguard Jesse's Funniest Moments on Bondi Rescue

that's my River boys we're very smart people in ever now I might be a multi-millionaire one day from the human letter open the door I know as a young kid there any guys there's a kid in the skate park face down bleeding the skate parks dangerous when it's dry could have been right in there and it's a very dangerous place Mia Luca and Jessie get there and he looked up at us which at least we knew is conscious the kid's name was Zach he actually went into the ball to get something but when he was on his way out he slipped over give a bleeding nose wasn't knocked out or anything and no signs of spinal so we'll just give me a bit more of assessment these mates had called the ambulance so our next big issue is how we're gonna get this kid out of here historically the skate ball it's given us unbelievable challenge we've had the rescue squad and cranes and Stokes litters and big aerial ladders and this lifts and that lifts and ropes feel a way to get you out of here okay and then I'm gonna call your mom down there was no rope we had a spinal board but there is no way we could have put the kid up the bow if the spinal board was too big say that's when the human letter come out my legs go onto your shoulders and then you're never back of this and you know that's just something that I come up with you know I gotta go do so to get here almost skeptical at first the tools for a human letter you need to put people that are not too good-looking on the ground because their face gets the young fella I don't know if he was scared to step on my back or something [Music] iseman River there a rap in the skater bowl no I study in the manual it's a pretty big scene up here there's people everywhere so we're going to come out if it's not too vicious we'll try and catch up front a pair and nothing so I was kind of like it's a rat like old do it like who cares drop in Jess why don't I drop into the bowl with no shoes on that's just plain old Jesse just doing things before he thinks I wasn't gonna touch it let's go home here I just held the bucket Bohanon just slid straight in job done how easy was that as soon as I looked at it was just our contact and then she start bang let's go and I was kind of like whoa I didn't think rats were vicious definitely I knew it wasn't my jacket as if I've used my jacket to put on our app in the bucket and a jump and you hit it again I was like not even want jacket I just put it on the sack walking no no man yeah Chris Chapman the lifeguards operations manual is a very important book but I definitely don't think there's anything about catching rats out of a bollard State Park rescue I need a watch your jacket chat no that was you know for months since the kid from the wrong side of the tracks was given a fresh start at Bondi now Jesse needs to prove he's mature enough to be a professional lifeguard father team he wants to stay there and he knows after another year the training ships up and he needs to perform to go on to be a national locked up Jesse's shown he can handle serious rescues but it hasn't stopped him having fun Jesse and former trainee Maxie have become good mates in downtime for the dynamic duo tested a mini surf board with mixed results like a duck now they've been inspired by a new challenge a new way of catching a wave this puddle by for a certain yeah just hold on cop it on the head but this is no surf craft so calm and pleasant there but I like to say our goes in onshore and 46 foot waves on a rainy day lunch break the dynamic duo proceed to launch double overhead surf and a strong southerly wind ideal conditions for staying on land let's see a long swim back to civilization coming up anything could happen in any [Music] the first wave in a set starts to peak here we go here we go but they're not quite on definitely that's a coupon she's just getting strike that could now have a punk metal hey look up an air this then the Big Y blooms behind they don't know there's an even bigger one behind it facing oblivion there's only one course of action the sharp boys a big yellow UFO floating at the back of the bay of Bondi and it um it has a sonar that that picks up tagged sharks and sends messages through to the authorities all messages automatically go to head lifeguard hopper that ping is when a tagged shark comes through and notifies that there is something swimming in the bay as well as detective shucks the boy serves as a great market point for lifeguards doing board training it's a good point to go out and back as probably roughly 500 meters out and thank you for your kilometer time you're out and back lifeguards enjoy being so far from land I've got a phobia of sharks right and she's like don't ever come near me like I never want to see one of these things in the water unless I'm in a cage I just hop Jessie I said man let's let's pal around the shark can I say come on mate let's get out there like your helm and we're getting out there paddle around a little bits right there he's gone oh I'm not in the endives yourself come on let's go 902 am Jessie and Jethro reached the poor it's impossible to see much below the surface once we got to the boy it tapped it Jesse just pinged it for sure right the look of death in his eyes he just wanted land just because that doesn't mean there aren't any nearby we come back up to the tower and Dino was up there laughing and we're like what are you laughing at and he goes look at this message I just got off hop oh great white nine I am 7th of January so say three three meters in length they mostly hasn't been a great wave online how long and as soon as mental chipper left of that stupid yellow boy is a great white out there Jesse's terrified of sharks he yeah he's rattled after Haiti I think he thinks he's got really bad luck but yeah I reckon you make your own luck it's the big boy he wants to get out there's no getting back so I don't think I'll be doing that any time again soon here at home Bush doing our TAFE work that we need to do to be a lifeguard and now not our favorite place but it's very hard those to get lost when they're more than a stretch leg rope west of Bondi Beach it's a long way from based in the West at least no it's a long life I'm engaged anyway wearing the West but no but we're from the east and it's a long way from there
