hello and welcome to my channel kuros here today I am bringing you the Demonic rage Barbarian a Savage possessed by demonic entity this is a melee build combining Warlock and Barbarian focused on the armor of aarthi's spell before we go on with the build summary next Tuesday we will continue our hardcore challenge run 5:00 p.m. UTC the stream will happen on YouTube and if you can't make it I will upload a summary of the run the day after hope to see you there as for today's build we are starting the build as for today's build we will start with a single level in Barbarian warlock has weak defenses in the early game so this is solved by delaying our extra Attack by One level we will add this way our constitution modifier to our Armor class making us more durable while wearing cloth armor we will focus on the Charisma attribute for attack and damage thanks to the warlock's packed off the blade we will progress five levels in warlock getting a second attack at character level six the key component of the build is to pre-cast armor of aartis granting us temporary hit points while this lasts melee attackers will suffer cold damage while in Rage these temporary hit points will reduce at a slower rate so the cold Shield will proc a few times to close the build with get another four levels in Barbarian getting a third attack at character level 10 last two levels are flexible so we will explain the variance after the level up section kindly read the description of this video to understand my thought process and some considerations for these guides also make sure to subscribe to support my content and without delay let's begin so for this build we will go an armored and we will wear a two handed weapon a good starting point is a barbarian we will add our dexterity and Constitution modifier to our armor class and we will have high Charisma since this is the attribute that we will use for attack later on starting at character level four usually I do not recommend any background in particular but we really need acrobatics since we do not have any strengths or Athletics this is to avoid enemies shoving us or pushing us around too easily at level two we go warlock most important spell here is armor of agares and surprisingly you can also cast hellish rebuke while you are in Rage since this is a reaction it seems our subclass is going to be the great old one since mortal reminder combines really well with Reckless attack you will not be casting any other spells because usually you will be under rage effects but here for the eldrid invocations I go with agonizing blast and repelling blast since eldrid blast is going to help us greatly during the early game and also while our rage charges has been depleted so before this point you will normally use a fin weapon to attack with dexterity from now on you can bind any weapon to you and you will use your charisma modifier in this case a plus three for your damage and attack roles we also get to choose use level two spells and we will go for utility keep in mind always one slot we are going to use for armor of aartis at character level five we will get access to our first Feit and it is going to be ability Improvement Charisma this is to further boost our attack and damage roles at character level six we get access to deepen packed this will grant us an extra attack as long as our weapon weapon is bound we also get to choose a level three spell we will go with Hunger of haer since we are a barbarian and we have Proficiency in Constitution saving throws in case you want to play with that mechanic a great Peak as well it is counter spell since it will not interrupt rage as well we get access to a third ELD invocation at this point this slot is flexible so you may choose whatever you prefer from now on we will continue progressing as a barbarian as a level two Barbarian we get danger sense and Reckless attack on the next level we get to choose our subclass for this build we will go for B cker this will give us an improved rage where we can use a bonus action to do another attack but this will impose a minus one to our attack roles until we end our rage at character level 9 we get our second and last fit you can go for Ability Improvement Charisma or Savage attacker I think at this point Savage attacker will give us way more damage since we are attacking pretty often anyway as a barbarian level five we get a third attack and faster movement as long as we do not wear any armor now at this point last two levels are quite flexible if we go the Warlock route we get entropic Ward this will spend a reaction to impose disadvantage on the attacker once per short rest it will also grant us level four spells if you decide to go Barbarian six you will get access to Mindless rage and if you get Barbarian Level Seven you will get feral Instinct improving your initiative so the options are Barbarian 5 warlock 7 barbarian 6 warlock 6 or Barbarian 7 warlock 5 before the combat as it is tradition I proceed to show you which items I will use for the combat showcase probably at this point you will have much better items than this but this is just an example of which items you can wear and you can judge how the build works and how the character behaves in combat as you saw just now make sure you have armor of agares casted before you start the combat and here we spend our counter spell in stopping the sorcerer unfortunately she decided to jump above so I was not able to rage on this turn since I had to spend my bonus action to get to her so as you can see the build is very straightforward and fun to play you have a character that is a little bit tanky and it's pretty much a Powerhouse you have a lot of hit points to endure damage and you will receive half damage from melee weapons meaning slashing piercing and blood G on top of that you will start each combat ideally with ADD addal temporary hit points we are casting armor of aartis as a level four spell so this means 20 temporary hit points in addition do not ignore this 20 Cold damage since it can stuck up and it means really a lot of damage if we sum it up with our melee attacks now here we're entering rage we have three attacks un buffed and on the next turn we will be able to spend a bonus action to do an additional attack so a total of four attacks here we get the first retaliation from armor of aartis so this effectively stops the dwarf from doing a second attack on us so really a very useful proc as a backup plan if you cannot strike anyone in melee your rage will end so you still have your eldrid blast you can take advantage of attacking while in range so this is a versatility that you have versus for example playing a pure Barbarian where your rened damage is not that great since unfortunately with this build we do not have strength so we cannot take advantage of the friend SE throw we cannot throw people around we cannot throw boxes around so instead we rely on eldrid blast well at this point the combat is almost over I really hope you enjoyed the guide let me know in the comments what do you think of this build and I take the opportunity as well to invite you to come to the hardcore run stream that I'm doing I am having a lot of fun since to me the streaming world is quite new but I like I enjoy the tension right of playing hardcore and you don't know when the rolls will go south and you may die unexpectedly so far we are doing all right with this party and let's see how long I can last and as usual well thank you so much for watching and see you in the next video adios
