What If The Austrian Empire Still Existed?! HOI4

what's going on everyone it's me Alex the Rambler and today we're once again back on hearts of iron Thor now today we're checking out a mod called the Imperial restoration this is a mod that changes around a couple of nations and gives them unique focus trees it's actually by a couple of people that came up to me a paradox con and was like you wanna check it out and I was like yeah sure and then I forgot and it was called restore Austria but now has been renamed to the Imperial restoration so we shall be doing that today but of course that's per usual please do comment like and subscribe whenever I do say subscribe more people do so hence why I'm still saying subscribe and as per usual I will say 5,000 likes for another highway video engagement just help the channel but that's enough of an intro for today if you're wondering about the stache this is the state it's in pretty good right so the nation's it changes Austria Greece and to a certain extent Turkey but Turkey really isn't finished right now so the only two nations that have proper unique focus trees are Austria and Greece now Austria can try and get the Hapsburgs back you could also have a coup or you can oppose the Nationalist government and as Greece you can actually restore the Byzantine Empire but today I thought we play as Austria and see if we can not get an trust that would be that that would be ideal so currently Austria was not long ago a powerhouse in Europe but the aftermath of the Great War dismantled the once great Empire into a small minor still a lot of german-speaking people live in the old part of the Empire which were lost after the Great War the time has come for Austria to change its course and become a global powerhouse once again right we are cooled greater Austria at the moment definitely need to worry about that too much and then you've also got Greece down there who's just doing his own thing so I'll let Greece do their own thing we'll do random AI focuses and we shall the but the begin do we have any and there are generals there are generals that's good that's not bad actually not bad so far it's looking ok but I don't think Kurt is going to be around for too long and we're going to have to try and stabilize the country and then we're gonna get the return of the Hapsburgs Oh baby the following years after two Great War were harsh for the Austrian people huge economic limitations and a forced implemented episodic system in this country into chaos who needs democracy hey what's it what's it done for anyone we should go back to the old days where where where a leader was anointed king by by God and and and we didn't vote for our own self-interests because let's face it a lot of us don't really know what's going on or how best around the country particularly politicians but we have 16% stability and 10% wall support and no manpower God okay well this is this is gonna go great isn't it this is gonna go really well or it will just be a very very short video which which YouTube doesn't like if you're wondering why the videos have been going from 10 minutes to like 15 minutes YouTube just wants longer and longer videos uh-huh if only it was that easy just as like select something that says stabilize the country and it actually did that that if there was a button that said stabilize my hairline I would do the same unfortunately nay it it doesn't work like that alright return of the Hapsburgs long have the Hapsburgs ruled over the Austrian people and under them Austria has been one of the greatest empires in all of Europe maybe the time has come to invite them back now what would it be good and I say this while I'm eating their Clementine when it is Germany who gon oppose hill-hill er gonna happen oh here we go yay we're now just Austria led by Otto von Habsburg nice what could he do for us also what can you do for us demand a referendum huh huh the disillusion of the austrian-hungarian empire was a mistake and led to a up to and they're now the Hellenic Empire and doing Bulgarian fate I I don't know attacking a nomination straight away is the best idea for the new Hellenic Empire but what do I know why does Austria never seem to have trucks they never start with trucks I don't I don't understand and also I appear to have encountered a bit of a problem the mod doesn't automatically call Hungary so my manpower is always going to be quite atrocious I don't know if that's gonna change once revived the Empire has begun and we get the integration decisions oh and they're okay and they're off a hand they're off oh here we go oh that's good Austria restores its old Empire the question remains which one so they could just be the Austrian Empire or it could be austria-hungary so if I just did the Austrian Empire I'd be stuck with 10% consumer goods minus 20% stability and minus 10% war support but as as austria-hungary I get the Dual Monarchy which only gives me five percent fewer goods 10 minus 10% stability and minus 5% recruitable population factor but you know what let's just do the Austrian Empire let's have the D buffs and have it returned restore restoration of austria-hungary what excuse me now I have just the Austrian Empire there we go yeah nice that's that that is a problem the Hungarians feel betrayed oh well okay let's see if they if Czechoslovakia would like reunification we'll try and protect Bohemia just to encourage them I'll stick my army on the border I probably should have waited before they managed to get all of their advanced fortifications done shouldn't I oh that was a bit of a balls-up vibe me oh I really really hope that her leg empire isn't gonna declare war on Italy while they're still trying to take out Bulgaria that that wouldn't that wouldn't be for the best ahahahahahaha yes that's pretty duis and let's demand Romanian territory oh they declare war in Albania - what are they up to oh all right well they've got Albania and Romania accepted okay there Empire the fact that I do have very low stability and water ports that are still very very apt well Greece is going on a on a bit of a rampage oh I will I will integrate Transylvania yes we'll get the cause give me the manpower you're all coming into the Empire whether you like it or not okay I can finally get rid of forced civil economy I don't like them forming an alliance that's not nice and we'll see if I can get the Polish dildo the Polish Strait has potential enemies all along its border week we could get our old prophesies back I'm also role playing the former Austria empire in fact that most of my units are kind of levied and kind of very untrained and lacking equipment I love it when a plan comes together Oh yep and they gave me the factories what is happening everyone's just given me all of the stuff for free focus trees like this are great I'm gonna do my own Croatia and Bosnia back Italy actually managed to wangle the Balearic Islands what is happening everyone's just trading territory like I'm not complaining this is great but oh and they're doing it industrial boom hmm okay they gave us those states um Wow uh-huh this is this is pretty sweet I have to say and I guess the final focus is to I need a million men that's a bit of a stretch oh they're doing the angelus this is where it could get dodgy very dodgy I should probably stop training my troops eh yeah get an alliance of Italy so this is what all this is where it could get dicey ah like you did not get a lot of time to prepare on this mod do you holy moley why yes Soviets I will take your help and look at that they're already attacking my freaking aah leave me alone please I am surprised at the speed of which I've being capitulated give up land for the Hungarians never so what would happen if I expanded my borders so rapidly we might have been able to hold but when it's 38 it's quite difficult to to hold effectively especially with the debuff that I picked when it came to do in the Austria rather than austria-hungary all well that's brave of Mexico I don't know if I've stabilized the front slightly probably not what can you do against such reckless attacks they just won't they won't give me any respite anywhere oh no we're gonna lose Vienna reinforce Vienna right so for now in most areas I am holding it's just quite tight I'm hoping I can hold until Germany tries to reassert their claims and maybe go that's not moving very quickly is it maybe two times ago war tanks for the Empire unfortunately I literally don't have any tanks and I doubt I ever will but you know sir it's nice to have that fought off for they claimed Memel and they now have the region okay are they are they're doing err innovation why can't every focus they go about declaring war on someone else isn't there like another focus I have to hold of my depleting resources like the Battle of Vienna has been going on for so long poof Krakow has crossed hands a few times now but it looks like I'm taking they're taking more caches than I am but it's still pretty dicey imagine just reforming your empire and then literally two months later Germany comes a-knockin it's kind of baffling really isn't it you've got to be thinking like what why I imagine like if there had happened I think all of the recently occupied Austrian Empire territories would have just revolted it would have been a complete and utter revolt okay well at least France and Britain have announced an alliance please guarantee Oh guarantee them perfect oh oh oh has England freed everyone they freed everyone haven't they oh my good leagoo well the Hellenic Empire is now apparently going down their focus is to take out Romania and I'm Turkey I'm not guaranteeing them my way no I'm not okay that's good hey the declared war on Turkey well good luck I don't know that they're gonna win they might who knows Oh what is this it's like a whole nother little uh-oh a greater Austrian path then I can do a pro Italian policy and the veer nation pack Italy leaves the axis and joins my faction oh well might as well go for it though what is this return of the German Kaiser oh I didn't know this was a thing heroes only made propaganda it means I don't have any political power but we've got to do it we've got to do it get the people on side and never love us I hope oh they can't do Dan to go war because they don't have a million men in the field okay that's good right oh oh I didn't even know these were decisions that serves me right for not they're not scrolling over our own path I I'm gonna do an Italian cook yes I'm gonna get a civil war going I mean it won't be a very big one I don't imagine but hey-ho German Civil War here we go our relatives from Germany have as well being kicked out of the country and are now held exile in the Netherlands which would ignite the civil war ba ba ba ba ba ba that might save me cause I I think I can hold now but I just can't push I have lost a lot of territory but Oh hahaha oh my god that's so overpowered that completely breaks it oh my god that's completely broke of the game why do they have my territory though I presume they're gonna hold this temporarily and give me the territory back afterwards otherwise we're gonna have a real problem okay well the tables have turned quite quite a some weight the German Empire is at risk of taking control of our faction okay this was a terrible idea I I would like a a Hellenic Empire to enter Danube unit yeah sure a new alliance how the Frick did that happen the Germany met oh my god I should have just left it I should have just left it like two hours ago and just said yep it was a Rambler fail instead of this ball of gore that's now all happening because of the Germany military junta this is kind of vindication really I'm very happy that I've managed to do this and now I'm gonna take all of Italy still annoying that you've taken a lot of my territory Germany I really hope you're gonna give that back oh good a peace deal huh right well couldn't do that and I think I'm gonna pop it Italy yes and I'm gonna take the Balearic Islands to have it like some summer sun oh good I did get my territory back well that was quite a turn for the books wasn't it really Hellenic empires managed to oh they were going to proclaim their empire Oh Oh baby the Byzantine Empire is bad oh and I can do a military parade in the Kingdom of Italy ha Oh what oh dear they've got rid of the oh oh how dare they oh no that's not fair I meant to be doing that well if my justification go it was all the way done and then it just stopped okay well I oh you are having a giraffe Byzantine Empire in the Comintern what the Frick defriend yeah there's no way I'm gonna be able to grab Poland or Romania now that sucks huh but what I have managed to do is restore the Austrian Empire's borders to almost their greatest extent I think I'd Germany got there which is rather annoying so I'm gonna leave it here for this scenario I think there could be some warning Gemma T in in it that that where I'm but where I'm gonna be away for the next two weeks I kind of have to limit the time that I put into scenarios so about three hours as my limit and I've reached that kind of time limit now I thought always do maybe a part to where I could go up against the Comintern which will probably involve the Union of Britain etc and
