what's going on everyone it's me still working on my on my room Rambler here and today we're back on hearts of iron for it's a new week and that means we're covering a new hearts of iron for Maude what we're gonna be doing today is attempting to reform the Byzantine Empire and that I'm the Roman Empire Wow I bet you're thinking Alex that's never been done before what can I say I like the Roman Empire and it appears a lot of you do too because the these the there's always new Byzantine Empire Roman Empire mods being released now this one is called a Greek dawn and it just adds in a new focus tree for Greece and allows you to attempt to take you on your own your own path pretty pretty much that like or like all total conversion mods but this one's actually pretty well fleshed out the focus tree is is complete which is a shocker I know and it seems fun I've done a bit of a trial run and didn't get very far but hopefully this won't be a fail so of course comment like and subscribe 5,000 we go this is Greece as tensions rise in the world Greece stands at a precipice the Greek government is divided as Iona Smith met attacks attempts to secure his power I'd never know how to pronounce that I always get it wrong maybe I still have I'm not wearing my glasses on life yet many which for a change of course that should be wish some call for a strong Greek state while the trade unions demand empowerment finally some fringe groups believe that the time has come for the Byzantine Empire to return the threat of Italy looms what will Greece decide so we can get the Athenian at research school the art of democracy and revolutionary feather probably not going to do that but we can also get the Hellenic repunit realize the Constitution and proclaim the Byzantine Empire so we're just going to go and have a have a rootin tootin good time and forestall what never should have fallen well the only thing that we can do to begin with is to construct the meant axis line the parisa rising militarism of Bulgaria has led to a demand to defend our borders this will be met at once so Greece pretty much starts in exactly the same position it would start in the base game a bit of a bit of a bit of a trap one like they don't even have any aero aeroplanes researched apart from transport plane somewhat good at those a right named after the incumbent Prime Minister this line will protect the Greece against the looming threat of Bulgaria except they're not written down much of a threat at the moment are they now I'm just probably gonna beeline political effort actually I don't need to do that right away I should probably do military effort and actually get some industrial revitalization going on I need me some factories I'm just thinking is my lighting getting better or is it the fact that the Sun has just come out for the first time in like a week it I can't describe to you how much it rains in in in the vancouver-based area it rains more than the United Kingdom shocker I know but covering one mod every week and then one disaster savegame might be the way forward I think that's probably quite a good you know compromise on the whole content so one one disaster save so at least one disaster save and at least one mod overview as well as the non hearts of iron content have also been releasing so about three or four videos a week Spanish Civil War I don't care about that they really bad spot so I just need to try and get the kind of divisions that I want pumped out and then focus on on expansion overall there's not a whole lot to really prepare for I'm gonna try and keep these islands secure and this we might lose Crete temporarily but overall I think we might stand a chance at holding I'm actually really nervous because this is very easy to build up right at the start of the game you start in a bit of a tricky spot to try and take out Turkey as Greece you're not you're not very strong and they are stronger I would say yeah they actually have an Air Force whereas I don't I don't even know what a plane frickin is they start with more divisions more manpower and more everything really and I'm just trying to still get enough frickin guns in okay turn to the past there we go we're we're a couple of focuses away from war and I do not feel ready I'm actually breaking it a little bit especially when the Turks are training on my border Oh give legal good my good only go I might just have to do I can do Greek inscription when I'm a war and I guess I can get more army XP when I'm a war okay let's just go for it let's reclaim Anatolia right we're at war and I think I'd probably need to do a Greek conscription first I'm just trying to seize this plain tile before they get any divisions there I know I probably oh I took it okay now I just try and hold or they scythe will attack me I'm hoping yes the attacks begin and that's where I just try and hold for as long as possible especially on these tiles they're going to be important to hold casualties are looking good though 800 weld 900 to 9,000 good odds for any Spartan Greek person type thingy so my plan was for them to attack me pretty consistently so then I can start upgrading my divisions with whatever I need because I have a decent tissue surplus now so I'm eventually gonna change around my artillery Oh so my divisions are gonna have artillery in them is what I was meant to say yeah those casualties are looking very nice indeed very nice we can do this if we really try oh boy for the first part of this video you you're just gonna see the resolution be really bad because I still had it on my live-streaming template rather than my recording template which I've just switched well it seems my OBS stopped recording just when I switched my profiles over originally I was I was recording at my livestream profile awful oh that's weird so I switched it over to my recording profile and after seven seconds it stopped and I haven't realized for the past hour or trottle the footage oh my god oh god but as you can see I guess I'll just have to recap this is my save at the start of the war and I'll play from here because it I just so you can see what I've done and but you know it took me a year and a half I think and and now you're gonna see the magic which you've missed and there was so many encirclements look now on the Byzantine Empire that's basically it I took out Turkey they took like three hundred thousand casualties the way it happened was that I managed to take this area here then I sent most of my army down to to the Aegean islands and invaded from here I also had 12 cavalry units which I had been converted over to my infantry and they mentioned just punch through we United the lines and then just pushed on into Turkey and and that was that as well as pretty much it then the other focus that I've been doing oh I need to do imperial expansion now okay so we can kind of go on from here so I can I can do I don't really care about Imperial diplomacy right now just imperial expansion and we'll go from here but I really did miss that up Oh Alex right protect albania yugoslavia isn't guaranteed by anyone at the moment which is surprising but now i've occupied albania that's pretty good I'm probably doing Piro diplomacy now so people start to like me I don't like being the bad guy I just want the I just want I just want my freakin territory underway which is good which is very good indeed formatic conscription here we go name aside this conscription system shares few similarities of medieval Byzantium system however it really greatly increased the number of soldiers that chimeric we're different territory outside the call stays get the auxilary it's in the armies boys the auxiliaries are key so it appears my divisions of vastly superior with that of Yugoslavia's nice almost at belgrade beryllium for lease Novi Sad bullies Novi Sad but no what will be we should be we should be able to capitulate Yugoslavia pretty soon I grow are seem to be superior to theirs so I'm doing an alright job we can just keep up the momentum I reckon we could have it oh my gosh Oh subjugate Romania yes sorry I didn't even read what that said but I presume it's just the Roman people across the world must unite ah nice I also might if you're interested in my infantry template it's this it's just seven twos with lots of different support companies but they admit to be conquering the Brits no problem with that templates right well I think I've made the Roman Empire more powerful than it's ever been kind of well I don't technically own Spain nor do I own all of the UK but I do have the can free Canadian Republic as my as my puppet I've also got the Roman Raj Oh the EMU Empire we've also got the Nova Zealandia Republic it's very very nice I'm still looking pretty thick I don't think I have a faction name do I know and Romania is now my puppet great and look at that man power seven million all righty-roo so some time has passed i annexed Switzerland into this until about mmm Oh most of the way through 1943 and I couldn't find a way to break the German Reich's lines my intention was to like to Clare war on them and then and then have a jolly but I wasn't able to do that so I'm gonna leave the scenario here we have reformed much of the Roman Empire but in order for me to take the German Reich I'd probably need to keep the school keep keep recording for for another five hours and it's it's the way I the way I do my scenarios is that I give myself like a set amount of time and if I record for a number five hours the time investment versus that ad revenue that I'll get from the video just isn't viable so I can't really go until 1946 to 1947 in these games at the moment maybe one day I'll be able to if if if ad revenue improves but you know sorry about that however you did see the glorious Roman Empire reunite Germany I don't know why but just facing Germany is so difficult I didn't think that other that they were
