foreign it's a new day boys let's get an early start today i can't believe i my alarm didn't even go up where's he going four o'clock i saw i set the alarm for eight what the heck monty did you have and gentlemen i'm on the couch with the two stinkers and as you can see you guys have sent me a couple things and they've kind of piled up they've kind of piled up my voice did not crack i have very deep voice it does not crack puberty is not happening do not work anyways you probably can't see the dogs here because well there's one there they're hidden by the massive pile it's been a while um yeah i feel like it's been a few months uh since i've done an unboxing and i uh was just like you know what that's what we're gonna do today and we got a little bit of a late start because of this guy hitting the snooze i mean it was that definitely definitely was that but uh yeah it's my fly open it's always open isn't it anyways uh so guests will give a little bit of news um this guy in three days three four days he's got his big ol appointment to see if anything's wrong with him he seems like normal monty though but uh we're gonna just we're gonna spend money and hopefully they tell us stuff and things and we'll be like okay great i don't know what we're going to do with that information but at least we know now we'll see we'll see what happens i'll give you guys an update on that um like i said there's going to be a trip with captain tini trout in three weeks three weeks from now we're gonna do like six nights i believe and we're gonna try to do a nice big old loop so that should be fun it'll be his it'll be captain teeny trout's biggest adventure yet and it should be a lot of fun and then uh mid-september i'm going with my buddy and his wife and bunk and we're gonna do a big old fishing trip and then after that i think i'm doing another week with funk and then we're back in the fall yeah so yeah hi rugas so i'm sure you guys will know it's been a slow summer it's been a slow summer i apologize but that's just the way it is i haven't gone camping in a minute i don't even know how anymore i don't i don't i don't even know i don't think i could light a fire with the fire steel i don't think i could catch a fish or clean it even or cook it i don't know how to cook anymore i don't i just don't know i'm just kidding so anyways rugas um these guys have been gonna work our from the tops down regardless of where they came from we're just going to go down and then we're going to move them off to the side and we're going to slowly clear these piles there's a where he gets up in your face and he stares at you because he wants your spot and he'll go to he only wants one side at a time and you get up if and when he's like that if you get up for anything he steals your spot immediately and me i feel guilty just kicking him off the couch and taking his butt once he's claimed it you know move your feet lose your seat monty will take your spot and i feel guilty kicking him off so what i do is whenever they do that i offer him a treat so that he gets down and runs over give him a treat and i run and claim my spot back because i can't just kick him off i'm just just it's just not in my blood i feel i feel guilty about that so gotta kick him off gotta gotta give him a treat to get off the couch and another side note that i just remembered that i'm just gonna bring up just a little little story time here because it's something i've never done before and it happened to me and for the first time so if you're like me sometimes in the morning quite often something makes it a little hard to go number one if you catch my drift so i was dealing with that like i normally do and pull my pants down and kneeled and i had to go onto one knee and when i did that something was in my pocket and i heard a big old crunch and it was my phone and for the first time ever i put all my weight onto the screen of my phone and crunched it i've never done that before i've for as long as i've had a cell phone i've never cracked a screen ever going outdoors and throwing my phone whatever never done it been very good with it for even as much as i abused my phone and i just crunched my screen and i just paid the dang thing off and it's just it's so stupid because it still works it just right where you type for texting or whatever it's just so hard to see and it's just driving me nuts and it's still fine i'm not i'm i'm not gonna get a new phone no way i'm not i don't like getting the new phone every time it comes out if i can get keep a phone for as long as i can that's that's my goal it's a working camera and it can go on google and do whatever or watch a video it's fine i'm not changing i'm not upgrading to the new one so what i think i'm going to do is i'm going to take some clear epoxy or something and just because it's real crunchy in this thing it's pretty crunchy i'd show you but it's somewhere on the other side of the house that's just it's over there anyways yeah so that's the first time the uh the all morning thing has really been a problem so that happened anyways let's get back into opening the packages enough story time here using that lotion this spring and it works for me it works good enough it works for the black flies pretty dang good mosquitoes it's depends on the mosquitoes the mosquitoes are real out to get you nothing's really going to work that well they're going to find you miss one little speck they're going to get you but anyways i've switched to the lotion because i don't like deet at all i'm anti-d it works i just don't like it nasty feeling i've been using that lotion so i'm down to give this try the lemongrass the lemon eucalyptus is what i is what's the main ingredient in that stuff so definitely give this a shot sweet and also we've got in here is an aqua quest tarp it's a guide xl now what i use is an oc my my main tarp is an aqua quest i'm not sure if it's a guide not sure what kind it is but definitely love aqua quest tarp so this let's see what kind of oh yeah that looks what size is this oh my gosh this is a 20 by 13 tarp this is huge we can make a pretty sweet shelter with this yeah we will definitely be using this 20 feet that's going to make up massive shelter yeah awesome the new one the one i got i just upgraded my tarp from a 10 by 10 to a 10 by 13 and this is a 20 by 13 yeah so that means i'll probably do 13 feet back and then i can do you know 10 feet across 5 and 5 on the sides this should be this should work pretty well for storms sweet so i look forward to trying this out thank you very much once again carbonite yeah as far as uh also for for tarps you know when you're setting up camp and you want a nice little rain spot sometimes they're just not big enough but that thing is going to be massive so we're i'm going to have to get that outdoor up to give it a shot before i can really get a feel for how big it is but uh yeah that'll letter that's a bubble wrap holy crap there is a lot in here here's a letter okay we got the letter of this one so this is the second package so we're going to open this one first it's from jeffrey whoa whoa okay read first it's a little dusty he said not to mention his name but we've already said jeff and i'm not using last names but anyways what he has sent me here is a hot tent stove that's been used for six hours and it has been made by it's called the four dog titanium ultralite ii by don okay looks like we've got a big old wood-burning stove it's fine it's been used i'm gonna have to uh looks a little dusty so we're gonna we're gonna be making a mess here oh yeah okay that is definitely bigger than the one i've got currently oh nice okay well so i'm not gonna take this out right now so what jeff said is he doesn't use this one because it was too hot for him it was unbearably hot in negative 10 and he claims that it can heat a 10 by 12 hot tent in negative 30 temperatures so i'm definitely excited to give this one a shot um yeah i'm not going to pull it out right now because it is used it looks like it's well built it's made out of titanium so that pretty dang high quality right there i will definitely be giving this a shot this winter i look forward to it just right now i'm not going to pull this out my house in the middle of summer when it's 80 degrees outside and start a fire in it so thank you very much for the stove and we'll be giving this shot in winter i just you know i would pull it all out what do we got here this must be okay yeah it's got okay we're going to go ahead and read the specs here rather than take it all out it's made from titanium it has a double walled bottom so that you don't uh help burn out because normally what i do in my hot stove is i've got a piece of metal that i've got with just little angle bars that just kind of rest up to make it a gap because i don't you don't want the fire on the right on the bottom this one's already got a built-in double wall so that's nice it's got a baffle in the upper top area that you can peek and see okay so basically right where the pipe comes in there's it's normally in my other stove it's just open the whole box is open right here there's a plate like that far down there's a plate here so the flames can't just go up and right out the tube which is what normally happens so it's going to hit that plate and just spread the heat out more evenly okay awesome yeah so i look forward to trying this uh so keep in mind as far as hot stoves go i'm not going to be bringing out a certain one every time when i went on that trip this last winter with jake and it was negative 50 that one morning and negative 40 other that mornings i had was not this i mean we made it work we should have definitely had something like this or just a bigger stove in general the one we had we were putting just it was just ripping i woke up every hour putting stuff in that thing with wood just making it ripping and it was just not enough not enough fire because the cold is just getting sucked out so anyways thank you very much we are going to set this off to the side okay we will be getting back to this in winter but it's funny that i was sent to a hot stove i'll tell you why you'll see you'll see we'll see okay and we've got another box here so this this one it's jeff again and this package is to go with the first item all right watch out oh jeez there is a lot in here oh geez okay we've got a pathfinder nylon 8x8 tarp i like to see what kind of material okay this feels just like the other material now there's a there's a definite in certain tarps you can tell when they're like thicker and they're like less lightweight and this one definitely feels like more lightweight i like the lightweight ones sweet sweet deal okay we've got another one here d and d hammocks 10 by 10 tarp another tarp oh my gosh okay another 10 by 10 tarp sweet we've got a lot of tarps knobwise we've got a lot of tarps now all right another 10 by 10 tarp okay a fillo backpacking pillow this a nemo fill this is the exact pillow that i use when i go camping i bring two of these and this is this is the exact pillow i use so sweet thank you very much because the the one i have the valve is going out i already had i'm on my third one but uh yeah these are so great they feel like a really real pillow you just like you fill them all the way and you let them out i love these so yeah thank you very much okay and then we've got mini inferno starters emergency fire starters what do we got here all these look like little wax pads that you can start up with a ferro rod sweet uh whenever i'm going on camera i like to have just i have like waterproof matches you know lighters i put lighters in plastic bags all over in different pouches just in case they get soaked it's definitely nice in cold temperatures lighters don't really work that well i don't know if you've ever tried a lighter in like negative 30 doesn't really work very well unless you warm it up so this will be nice to have and then we've got a premise classic trail camp stove let's see what we got here okay so yeah this is a nice little oh this looks like okay so for those of you watching the channel for a while uh i used to use those little uh trangia alcohol burners and i never realized how in a finished and inefficient they were on alcohol until i went with captain teeny trout i think it was last last summer and uh yeah he brought out one little container and i brought two big bottles and we only went through one of his containers and it just like i just had an epiphany and i got a jet boil but i also got like an msr little one and yeah it's nice to have these i like these way better than you screw on the cast so this one's got the little i don't know what you call that little burner ring so it looks like it'll make the flame a little more even so that's sweet i look forward to trying that out awesome premise campfire classic i uh you know i use a premise pan that's my main go-to can so i like premise stuff and then we've got for cleaning out ashes from your hot tent stove when you can't move it okay nice little ash removal shovel a shovel an air shovel doesn't sound right if you say it the wrong way all right what do we got here bank line number 36 bank line better for lashings and tying than paracore does not stretch like paracord okay 500 feet cmi twine okay sweet definitely give it a shot i'm just i'm i'm used to using paracord i'll try other things we'll see okay we've got some aqua mira water treatment drops normally i just filter everything but you can't always kill everything it's nice to have little things i think i carry tablets just in case my water filter fails but boiling is usually the best but it's nice to have a little everything okay and then we've got oh wow we've got a pathfinder stainless steel 64-ounce bush pot oh dang nice i've always wanted something like this it's a little bit more compact in my pots this is sweet and it's even got the pouring nice and it comes with a little uh let's see it's got its own mini gray grain for setting on here oh the old battery died okay monty i'm having to spread my legs like this because marty's sitting right here he's like i don't want to be away from the next train comes out i'm gonna be ready okay i don't want you to forget about me right here and yes monty i always sit like this my legs spread like this it's just very comfortable anyways yeah this is a perfect size for low pi i've always wanted something like this i've got you know i've got massive ones i've got medium ones and this is like a it's like a small medium this is a good size you know if you fill it up with coffee it's a pretty good size i'm excited to try this uh you know it's just enough to where i could fill this with food and stuff myself and i i'd be just sick enough to where i could eat it all still be uncomfortable but be good enough but right now in my life i'm working on not eating as much in one sitting probably not going to change how i'm eating out over a campfire but anyways that's neither here nor there we're gonna have to get to when i cook the next delicious thing yeah sweet and then we've got for the hot testo what is this oh whoa now this okay this is something that'll be a really nice to have on our hot tent trip in the winter this is like a i think this is a thermal generating fan it doesn't have instructions in here but i've seen these before so basically you stick this on your hot stove and it blows around the air and it it doesn't take it generates its own electricity to turn the fan jake had one of these he's got a big old hot tent that we used to do deer camping sweet these these are awesome and this would have this would have definitely helped jade because he was freezing in the back of a hot tent sweet deal keep that safe so for hot tenting like going out by myself i'm probably not going to be bringing this every time because it like the new big stove and just a fan like it's a lot in a shovel it's a lot to bring when i go out in my sled by myself when i got both these dogs with me and two nights worth of food it's a heavy sled already so wool i mean so i don't know if i'll be bringing this every time especially if it's mild temperatures but if it's freezing cold you really want something like this circulating here i've never tried it before we'll give it a shot we're definitely going to give it a shot and then we've got one more big old package being sent a hot tent stove is that this right here is a hot tent stove this was sent by tony and i got it a while ago and i just haven't opened the exercise so i was gonna open up the next unboxing but uh yeah that's why it's kind of funny he asked what kind of hot stove would be best and i just the this is the brand i use this is just a bigger version which is nice because like i said the negative 50 trip it'd be nice to have a bigger one so now i've got two to try so let's see what this one's like this one's similar to mine just like longer and a little wider so you can put more wood in it let's see we got here brand spanking new oh my gosh oh yeah you can tell this is already oh yeah it's a lot longer than my stove oh yeah this is a nico think this one is what's this called it's a packer yeah this is the packer i have the trekker so this one's it's longer and it's taller so this is the one i know and love and has kept me warm many nights just oh well the uh well it's gonna take some for dangling i'm gonna need to get some gloves on uh so the tubes they're they're stuck together right here and i don't wanna just you can see it happening now if i push these together to get these loosened and this sharp sheet metal slices right into my hand i can just i can see the accident and we're going to avoid it we're not going to do it right now so these will go in there like that definitely got a little more weight to it but hey that's what you're getting you want a bigger stove oh yeah here and then we got the uh little thingy for the pipe the damper the flu okay awesome now the difference between this stove and the one right there is the the my eco it doesn't come with the bottom it's just flat on the bottom so you got to put something there it's not a big deal i've got a false bottom it's just it doesn't come with it like that one so thank you very much once again tony i am definitely excited to try this one out we're going to probably put my old faithful on the back burner for a while here we'll try these out depending on the trip if i'm going like you know it depends it's like i said now we've got options i've had one stove and we just got upgraded to three stoves so i've got options to choose from um if i'm going car camping probably gonna take one of these two stoves you know hot tent like deer camp last year me and funk went it's nice to be able to load up the stove with more wood turn the damper down so it just burns slower and then you don't i don't get up as much it's going to be so nice but it's going to be freezing cold i want to bring out a bigger stove if it's going to be super you know in the 30s i'm gonna bring out my little one and not even worry about it that much so yeah thank you very much once again tony i'm looking forward to
