hello modern here Palace Gate 3 released just a few days ago and I want to show you a few tips and tricks to make your journey more enjoyable so the basic structure of this one is first UI tips then items then environment then combat and the rest I'll put them into separate chapters so you can click through them down below so first up two key binds that I use all the time the first one being G splits the group the second one being shift C to stealth on my party members if you want to Target a specific Ally just press F1 F2 F3 or F4 this Cycles through your companions very useful when you have your party split and everyone is stealth so you can reposition them before a fight like so the next useful one is especially for barricad or if you just want to attack an enemy with a regular attack press your Ctrl key and you will select your attack keybind right away as you can see here the next one is something you need to keybind for this one we go into opt options then into keybinds then we scroll down a little bit to highlight characters and combine this one on something you want I have it on my mouse button but it's usually on grave I don't know what grade is so after key binding this one you can press it and this one will highlight your character in white companions in blue NPCs in yellow or green if they are friendly and enemies in red you can see those through objects and foliage so it makes it much easier to get a grasp but what you're facing now as long as we are in stealth you can see this cone that's a detection cone leaving stealth usually makes it disappear but you can enable this one by just pressing shift so you can highlight your characters and press shift so you know what you're facing and you can see what they see next a bit about the taskbar down below you can unlock this one with this key and you can just move around certain skills from one bar to the next one like for example so so those are not specific to your class specific abilities and your common abilities but they can be mixed and match how you like it down below you can click on different tabs to choose specific skills and in a passive tab you have the toggle non-leaflet tags option this one is party wide so if we lower someone to zero Health they will not be killed just knocked out useful for some quests and useful for some situations especially a non-leaf run I don't know if there's an ending for this one but it's here for you to enjoy with the plus you can increase the amount of slots you have and if the miners you can decrease them and after you do this you can just move it around your skills and rearrange them how you like it like for example so now if you want to know what action you can perform you can just click on the action button and will show every single action you can do the same is true for bonus actions or lay on hands or whatever you have up here now for bonus actions as you can see you can use your potion you can use your items you can use your toxins which is very useful now if you lose a specific spell that's not on your bar anymore you can press your key button and open the spell book now the spell book has spells right here specific ones for the Paladin class for the wall of class and so on and so forth some classes like for example the Paladin can perform preparations on your spells so if I want to cast something else like for example steering Smite I can just disable ref with Smite put in searing Smite and I have it on my bar this is not possible in every class for example the Warlock does not have this warlocks need to choose specific spells that are available to you at the level up something else you can do here is to go to the reactions here you can disable specific reactions like for example hellis rebuke at level 1 like so and it will not ask you to cast this one anymore it will only choose hellish rebuke at tier 2. next let's have a look at the inventory when we look at an item like so the Speedy light feeds you're going to see something like lightning charges Athletics or Dash and you cannot hover over this one because the window disappears when you move your mouse but you can press the t button to lock this window now we can hover over Dash and do the same again this is cascading so you can read up on what specific skills and passives and so on do you can quit this menu with Escape in your inventory you will find patch together sags or other inventory items you can open them with a double click and then put in specific items like for example arrows in them and when you use a range the tag you can choose between your all your arrows all your poisons and so on and so forth when shooting that Arrow this is very very convenient the next thing about inventory is you can click on the specific item slot like for example your head slot and choose between the items you have available across all party inventories for example this one has the wrapped headband of intelligence but I can also put in a helmet like so it will put the item in the inventory you can do this for every every single slot next I want to show you how to free up a little bit of inventory space when you look at something like for example the cam Supply sack you can double click this cam Supply stack and then press shift and select the lowest item in the sack so it selects all the items in the sack press right click and send to Camp you don't need those items in the inventory and it will free up a ton of space a ton of weight you can do the same for the Alchemy pouch so expand it shift right click and send to Camp if you want to select one single item just Ctrl left click you can do this for a ton of items you can then right click those items and send them to a specific character this can be done during combat so when you open your tab inventory and are in combat you can use your Potions by dragging them to a different character and that character can use them on their turn now if you want that potion used immediately on that character and that character cannot use the turn currently you can use the froact like so use a potion and throw the potion you will see the splash radius right here this will affect multiple characters the splash radius however is very small like so something else you can do is place the potion on the ground by right clicking splitting the items to one then you drop the item on the ground right in front of you you can then tag all your characters and walk to the potion with all of them and lastly you attack the potion for this you need to be very precise this will heal most if not all of your companions speaking of consumables consumables in this game are very very strong like for example potion of speed potion of speed uses a bonus action to be used and then gives you two Armor class advantage and dexterity saving throws doubles your movement speed and gives you an extra action to do damage or do whatever you want it's an exceptionally strong item the same is true for a haste spell so if you have a haste scroll you can use it on one of your Fighters and then obliterate any boss so all of your consumables use them regularly you get flooded with them there is basically hundreds of arrows there's hundreds of elixes of potions of basically everything you can imagine open your inventory for the whole group with tap then search for potions like so and it will highlight every single potion in their inventory we can then move them around Mount like so from one inventory to the next it will however delete the search term now some items are tagged as throwables but some are not despite being throwables like for example throwables you will see there's no water you need to search for water to find water like so you can however use water for example on this enemy here to make them wet without Rising their suspicion they do not aggro so they are wet you can use your lightning damage on them or your code damage and deal double damage this one doesn't initiate combat it's very very useful and the last consumable I want to talk about are Scrolls there is a ton of different space you can use like for example this character can use scorching Rays right 55 on hit now this Castle specifically has a Charisma modifier on their spells it's the primary stat right here so when you're using scorching Ray like for example so unequip any intelligence item and will still have a 55 chance to hit because our spell casting based on Charisma not intelligence for this specific spell martial artists like for example the Rogue are still using intelligence Charisma wisdom depending on a spell however every other character is going to use their spell casting modifier that's innate to their class this makes Scrolls exceptionally strong you don't need a spell slot you don't need proficiency you don't need to know the spell you can just use the scroll now there is something else I want to talk about for Scrolls if you multi-class a wizard at one level and you are level 12 of the character like for example 11 levels into cleric and one into wizard you can still learn tier 4 spell Scrolls of the wizard archetype you don't need to have your wizard up to level 12 it's based on the Character level not the class level what you can learn you will have only one or two or three slot spell slots for example but you can still use tier 4 wizard spells as a 11 level cleric this makes it incredibly strong but did something for high levels not something for the lower levels because multiclassing at lower levels is a little bit wonky and you come into play a little bit later around level 7 5 something around that pupil variants pure Fighters are just better early on with just regular old fighter levels or Barbarian levels now this brings me to proficiencies now will as a human and Shadow heart is a human or Gale as a human have innate Proficiency in light armor and shields now this class for example has paladiness the first level so I am proficient into heavier armor anyway but if I would only be a warlock I would not have any proficiency for armor but because I'm a human I can equip Shields and I can equip light armor without penalties equipping an item with penalties will give you disadvantage on basically every single action you can have in the game so if you are a rogue and have disadvantage because you put on medium armor you're going to have a disadvantage on every single hit you deal this will disable sneak attacks on basically every single action now next up a little bit about environment environments have a ton of different Kings like for example exploding bearers mushrooms or other traps you can and just throw your Ranger attack at and they will be triggered this is very important while exploring if you see explosive mushrooms throw an arrow at them they will explode and you can just move around afterwards without any trouble however you need to be very careful with specific cascading effects Throwing Fire into those mushrooms triggers a cascading explosion that deals insane amounts of damage to your CPU to GPU and your might well and the MP3 that was standing inside of them next I want to talk about the jump action the jump action uses a bonus action and free movement speed this means jump can be used to jump really far for example if this character that's more than 3 movement speed and you can still move a ton afterwards you can jump above Hazard you can jump above enemies without triggering opportunity attacks you can jump above your own characters without needing to deal with Collision so the jump action is incredibly strong offensively defensively and while exploring environments but you can boost it with items like for example your shoes jump distance increased by 1.5 meters same with this chest there is also rings that give you a spell like for example the jump spell which triples your jump distance this gives for example a paladin a much injured boost in Mobility speaking of spells and items like for example this one gives you the Misty step ability on the Paladin you wouldn't have access to this one but it's a massive long range really good teleport that brings you into midi range with a rather slow class something else I want to talk about are lightning charges when we look at this one this one gives us one to attack rules and one lighting them and something a little bit extra at five charges you're going to deal a ton more damage but the point I'm going to make here is the attack roll plus one that's incredibly strong that's five percent hit shots because you're rolling a dice with 20 sides you need to match the AC of a specific enemy if an enemy has 19 AC you're going to need to match it with 19 on a roll so those lightning charges will make it much more likely to hit an enemy now speaking of hit chance I'm going to give you an advice for Skilling your characters at level 4 8 and 12 you're going to be able to either increase your ability score or pick a feed most feeds especially on lower levels and on casters are not going to be worth it to pick it is nearly always better to pick your dexterity or strength or Charisma whatever you are going to use as a primary step to hit enemies because it will increase their likelihood to hit an enemy it is exceptionally important it's a very big deal especially early on so what you're going to do is for example on a Charisma Caster you're going to max out your charisma at the beginning at 17 then at the first level you're going to push it to 19 and at the next level at level 8 you're going to push it to 20 you will have one point left that's going to be for example Constitution because you're going to start with 15 which brings me to the next point and even stats for example the x319 here it's going to only give us 4 to our rolls not five the one point in dexterity is based useless at this point and you need to even it out the only stat that's going to give you something is going to be strength because strength is going to increase your carry weight capacity the next one is something to consider on specific characters like for example Carla Shadow heart will those companions can be respected with us with us we'll talk to you and give you an option to change your class you can do this on your base characters on your companions and respect their stats redistribute them so you're optimizing your characters now another thing I want to show you is you can access the chest with for example a character in the camp like so you can open your inventory pull out for example the great sort then you open the tab menu and then you can transfer the great sort to Shadow heart shadowheart can now go to a vendor and sell that item this means you can store basically everything in the chest because it doesn't have a capacity and when you're going to sell something you just go to the chest with one character and with another character going to go to a bender this vendor is going to be talked to by a character with a high Charisma score and the matching Race So if you're talking to a human you want to be a human to maximize The Profit you're going to get through selling items you can use this guy itself for example to change your appearance from a Dragonborn to a human or an elf or whatever you are talking to it is very important to do this to save on some money next a few tips for combat when you are engaging in specific enemies like for example this NPC here imagine there are multiple enemies behind her like for example spellcasters or ranged enemies you don't want to engage this boss enemy first you want to cycle around with your characters like so like to disposition and clear out the back line all the casters first then the big bad boss and then the rest it is very important because casters have very powerful spells in this game and can abuse those with very good AI it will make fights much harder which brings me to the next want use high ground being on High Ground gives you a plus two to your attack modifier so when we are hitting an enemy with the range option here it's 88 but when we move to this position go into stealth and try to hit her again it's only 80 percent now as you can see here the number is green so we have Advantage because we are in stealth if we are not in stealth we don't have advantage and the Chance is only 55 advantage means you roll two dice at the higher dice is getting chosen you can further modify this through for example throwing grease underneath the feet of an enemy making them wet and so on and so forth all of those modifiers will make it difficult for them to hit you or move around so difficult terrain poison will give them disadvantage on basically everything they cannot use their action and you can also block their line of sight like so they cannot hit you through the wall well at least not with projectile attacks the next one is the Healer the healing spells in this game are very bad like your wounds is only a 1d8 plus form that's a health potion and you can get health potions very easily here so you're going to use your heel not that often what you want to do is go into your cleric spares and use pairs like verifier attack rolls against this Target have Advantage it's a concentration spell keep that in mind you can also use eight eight gives all your characters five temporary hit points doesn't use concentration so you can use this and verify however if you want to use something like hold personal to see an enemy that's a concentration spell if you want to buff all your allies bless is a concentration spell per character you can only use one concentration spell so if you want to use verifier and bless for example for a paladin here you want to use bless on your own so the Paladin uses bless and your cleric uses verifier on that specific enemy so you benefit from both spells and the same is true for the Druid the same is true for the Sorceress there is a ton of different options you can have with all your spellcasters and you need to think about utility Buffs debuffs and damage stats first and then about heal spares because heel spares are a trap and the last tip I want to give you more combat specific encounters is give every single character a ranged weapon if you cannot reach the enemy you can still deal damage by shooting an arrow or a bolt or something else on them and then there is maliciousness tips quick save with F5 as often as possible when you look at the quick save files you see there is like 20 quick saves 25 quick saves so it's 176 which is 200 so it's 25 quick saves and there is also a ton of Auto Sales so if this one is very far back that's around level 4 with 8 hours of play time and the newest one is with 22 hours of play time so if you made a very very Grievous mistake you can roll back your character quite a bit and the last tip is when you talk to an NPC with for example color select a different character and move around while this MPC is in conversation with this one so if you are preparing for a no own boss fight you can just re-arrange your character's position and then start to find now those are a ton of tips and I hope some of them are new to you and some of them help you with your gameplay if you like this video please leave a like please comment if you have
