What happens if you make the World Map a level in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury?

i was wondering what would happen if you took the world map in super mario 3d world and you made it into a regular level so i replaced super bell hill with the world one map i positioned it so that you start at the beginning of the world one map but we're actually in super bell hill right now and right from the start things are already pretty weird you'll notice that the music from super bell hill is playing but the music for the world 1 map is also playing on top of that you can't enter any of the levels or interact with any of the mini bosses at first it looked like i wasn't going to be able to make it over to the next part of the level here i was wondering if you could climb up these steps but the collision made it impossible to get up here i also wasn't able to jump off the map this way i tried to do a spin jump here and dive and i somehow made it onto a ledge up here so i was able to walk over to the next part of the level you'll notice that you could clip through the level models that you normally use to enter the levels i wanted to see if you could stand in the center of these levels but you get pushed away from it when you get close to it it was interesting to see the hitbox of this small hedge because this part can act like a wall that you could slide down the world one castle is here and we can see the leftover trees from super bell hill and the sprixie in the jar is calling out for help i was wondering if there is a way to continue through the level and i was wondering if i could get up on these blocks that are normally in super bell hill and oh look a cat bell but it's too far to the side so it falls off the level and i didn't notice this before but the bowser gate for the castle is on the wrong side of the castle i thought it was pretty funny to see the bowser lock right by these flowers hey bowser has some great taste in landscaping if he wants to decorate his castle like this another interesting observation is that the music doesn't stop when you switch to camera mode the way that it normally does only the super bell hill theme plays when you have the camera mode active and when you exit camera mode the world one music starts playing again also i was playing on a file that had only level one completed in the game so i thought let's try switching to a file that's further in the game and we'll see if these paths will become unlocked now i made my way over to world 1-1 and right as the game was loading the level the game crashed i wanted to keep going so i thought let's try adding the world 2 map right beside the world one map so we can continue on and i noticed something strange about plessy in spotlight oh my goodness why does fuzzy look like this look at those eyes i added a few brick blocks to the end of the world one map in case we needed them to be able to climb over to the next part of the map but when i loaded up the game it looks like my spin jumps and dives were enough to make it over these walls and i didn't even need to use these bricks to climb over to world 2. these pipes and goombas that you're seeing are in their original locations based on the level super bell hill because that's where we are right now since i'm adding these maps to the level super bell hill and everything seems to be working fine just like before it's a good thing that mario doesn't have to deal with any galoombas like this in super mario 3d world he can't even hurt this galumba on the map before we go further i wanted to test this out in bowser's fury by replacing first step island at the start of the game with the world one map instead the world one music plays just like before and the spin jump plus dive technique gets you high enough to pass over the invisible walls and into the goop the goop can kill mario and perhaps the strangest part is that the world one music keeps playing while mario is dying and bowser is laughing and the music continues on uninterrupted [Music] do you guys remember those anti-piracy screen videos that people would make for games i thought those videos were incredibly created and this looks like it could be used for one of those anti-piracy screen videos it's a bit unsettling to be in the middle of a storm in bowser's fury having bowser tower over you in the background while the cheery music of the world one map continues to play remember bowser's landscaping decisions in super bell hill when his castle was there well bowser must have hired a new interior designer because the lock isn't here anymore i thought the flowers fit really well with the whole evil castle theme but hey i wanted to try adding the rest of the world map to bowser's fury to see what it would be like since the camera's really nice and bowser scary you might have noticed that there's a pipe here and this is the pipe that normally leads to world 2 after you complete the world one castle but we can't access any of these levels in the world map when we put the game into bowser's fury so the pipe doesn't spawn so i wanted to add in some pipes to go between worlds of the world map in bowser's fury and after making my longest pipe in super mario 3d world video i was hoping i'd never have to see a pipe again silly me so let's just hop into this pipe and oh my goodness why is the default pipe speed set to the lowest possible value i have to change that and speed up this bike it's interesting to note that while you're between levels like this the world music does stop playing world 2 looks really creepy with the stormy and rainy textures i was wondering why the world 2 music wasn't playing but when i got close and the sprixie started calling out for help that's when the music started up again not creepy at all i was wondering why the rest of the level was sunk in the goop when i realized that this level has two steps so i raised it up a bit and world 2 was no longer flooded by the goop we have saved world 2 except for this sprigsey who's still calling out for help there's normally a step that appears here that lets you climb up to this higher part of the level so it might not be too surprising that there's an invisible wall that prevents you from going between the higher and lower parts of the level but you know what was surprising even though i copy pasted a pipe with increased speed it still defaulted to slow speed again so i have to speed up this pipe again i wanted to head over to the other part of world 2 where you have the toad house that you can access from a tunnel and it's interesting to note that when you get close enough you see the edges of the screen fade like this and you start to hear the new music playing this is a pipe that you can't enter because it acts just like all the other levels in the world map where you press a to enter them even if you try to ground pound into the pipe you're pushed away from the center of it just like what happens if you try to ground pound into a regular level when we made it over to world 3 the underground theme was still playing i tried to jump out into the goop but there is an invisible wall blocking me but thankfully there is a block near the edge of the world here so i jumped onto the block did a spin jump and there we go and it's funny that that triggered the music to change to the world 3 music you can't interact with this magikoopa that's here just like the other blockade enemies and i couldn't make it over to the castle because this path here wasn't unlocked yet i tried going all the way around the castle but the invisible walls went up too high and you can't get onto this formation of rocks here as a boost either i went into a pipe that i added on to the next world and i was wondering if the spike bars that the spike throws here could damage mario and it looks like they can't they're just decorations just like the overworld blockade enemies i decided to use warp boxes instead of pipes here and there isn't really anything special about the next world let's take another warp box to the next world and oh look the level didn't flow let's fix that and now we are up in the clouds i wanted to test if we could jump high enough to make it off the level but the game gave me a hand by unloading the level so i just fell we are getting closer to bowser now and in this level you're not able to jump high enough to make it into the lava and i was wondering if these fireball enemies would hurt mario and it looks like mario just sinks through this part of the level because there's no collision here i wanted to try redoing this test to see if the fireballs would hurt mario and that's when i realized oh the fireball enemies aren't even coming up at least now i got to confirm that there's no collision on this part of the castle here and there's no collision on this part of the castle here either i thought we were in some anti-piracy every copy of super mario 3d world as personalized territory before but the sounds you hear in this area with the rainy background is really creepy i wanted to test some more areas so let's go into this warp box oh that's some nice music that's playing but wait where's the level it's kind of funny to see mario falling to this music with bowser in the background i wanted to try another one [Music] this music is so strange to hear with mario falling and bowser in the background like this but this time when mario falls into the goop he can luckily make it to shore because he's close enough to another island maybe mario will decide to start his new life here and if you thought champions road was tough
