M&B Bannerlord Is A Perfectly Balanced Game With No Exploits - Infinite Free Castles Is Broken

how many cities aren't controlled by us there are only nine cities in this Empire which we currently do not control directly are this is stupid hello there ladies and gentlemen I'm the spiffing Britt and today I've found a pretty strange exploit I have achieved something evidently no one else in the world has ever done not the game developers not anyone currently play testing the game or playing it because if they had played up to this point they'd have discovered a pretty major exploit and I've just hit it ladies and gentlemen moments ago I finished a trade deal in the city of wrote a which landed me the trade skill level 2 to 5 now a trade level 2 to 5 the player is able to do the ultimate art of the deal the final trade deal the greatest part of all time the player is able to trade using settlements that's right ladies and gentlemen from this point on we are able to buy settlements and trade them isn't that fantastic but wait oh so sit back relax and brace yourselves because we've got some very strange gameplay coming as we were about to pull off a world conquest without going to war yes this entire world from bow to canned to shakarez and a scar all of it will be ours we're going to make the greatest empire the world has ever seen so as you can see at the moment we are just a humble vassal of the seven empire our holdings are basically just the city of legit er or Licata I don't know and Annika castle from that we gained a comfortable amount of money we make about two to five thousand a day which is good considering the ridiculous size of our army and the ridiculous size of our Garrison's part of me felt that there might be an exploit because you see when reaching 2 to 5 you can buy settlements and I have 5 million gold saved up now what does buying a settlement mean well it would mean that the settlements taxes would start going to us so surely there's a snowball you buy one settlement and then use the money that that settlement generates to buy another settlement now the way the game developers would be able to slow this down would be to make the purchasing of settlements very expensive but after doing one test of this I can promise to ladies and gentlemen not one of the game developers in the 8 years of working on this game have tested this feature absolutely don't know how allow me to demonstrate ladies and gentlemen because what we're going to do is we're going to buy all of the settlements in the southern empire at least as many as the games going to allow us to buy and then we're going to break away from the southern empire and keep all of our holdings it's going to really annoy all of the nobles but they're not really going to be able to do anything because they won't hold any land and will hold all of the land so let's start our glorious land purchasing adventure starting with this noble here who do we have its Lantern or hello lantern or there's something I would like to discuss a proposal perhaps which would benefit both of us oh he doesn't hold any land oh well this is terrible we can't trade with you that's fine goodbye lantern or you're a terrible example instead we're just going to have to go to this massive army of 897 men now this army is useful for a couple of reasons reason number one it has a leader who controls a lot of land reason number two it has a million vassals in it all who will million barbed arrows and some horses oh no the bars gone oh and that's the issue ladies gentlemen you see the game normally has a bar there which tells you how likely an offer is to be accepted as you can see nothing is on the table so we can accept this offer and apparently to give them worried doesn't really count as a gift now talisay has a hundred thousand gold a city and a bunch of horses if we wanted to say bye worn horse off of him we can't get the horse for nothing we would be able to buy the horse if we say offered around about thirty barbed arrows for two horses he would accept this offer there's one slight issue if we get rid of the barbed arrows we can't get those desert horses ok that makes sense so what if we had a city ok don't don't I have to offer something game game please yes you fought perhaps the issue is they made the settlements really cheap and so you could buy all of them with that five million no no I don't even need to use the five million I have my bank we can just get this estimate for free yep for free we know we're generous we're really generous and so tell us I don't want to let anyone talk badly of me I don't want them looking down on my purchasing or saying that I didn't treat you fairly and so I'll give you a gift to part ways with that seems like a good idea I'll give you a single wolf's head and you know what I'll also give you just because you're probably gonna be a bit upset a single unit of oil to rub all over yourself so that you can hopefully calm down on also a cow there you go a cow for free this is very generous a wolf's head oil and a cow a wolf's head you can pick up off of the ground for free oil costs about a hundred and fifty six to buy from a shop normally a cow is about a hundred and fifty as well and we're about to buy an entire city for it honestly we didn't even need to do that he'd have just handed the city over for free so that's the trade deal completed and you will notice if we go over here to crusher it's our brand new city Oh controlled by Clan of the Brit oh no we can go to a clan and our fiefs then oh look its cuisine oh right this is an issue because now we get all of the taxes from here as well all of the taxes and the taxes from here a good around about a thousand a day you just handed a thousand a day's worth of gold and a city over to me for quite simply the head of a dead animal some lubricating oil and a cow this game it's so good so broken alright let's talk to the other members of the party and still there let's belly for oh it's been a world Bella for there's a proposal I have for you you don't control any land Bella for that sucks but can I buy your two cows off of you here I'll give you a couple of Spears from May go 18 Spears for two cows that's a great deal next up we have at yours on the list who controls off castle and tackle castle and once again just to prove that you don't even need to hand over anything which is gonna offer and he's accepted at yours you're such a generous person so jets good journeys to you yes good journeys you see normally if you were to try and get a settlement off of someone in this game you'd have to go to your kingdom over here you'd have to find a castle or something which you don't want someone else to control like say Medini castle here and said we don't want this person control it it causes 400 influence to propose that someone else should have it then we have to have a vote as to whether someone you should get it okay there we go everyone agrees that costs even more influence and now we have to have a vote as to who owns it and lo and behold I'm not in any of those options yes oh and what's this relation with a chioce decrease error new line variable not set oh no oh dear okay so apparently I've taken some kind of cursed route which you weren't expecting anyway so that's normally how a settlement will change hands in an empire where you basically have to roll the dice and hope that you show up on that list of people who can be given that settlement lo and behold we weren't on that list that's hundreds of Influence down the drain and we didn't even get a new settlement this however is free anyway for shoki here you control two castles as well I'd like both of them and you know what for just the troubles of handing them over you can have four baggie trunks to wear look at that look at his smile on his face he's loving this sure we're robbing him of all of the land he owns to be left with an army which he has no way of paying for but that doesn't matter because he's getting baggy trunks and they're lovely all right then yes you love that trade deal you absolutely love that trade deal but I must leave now good journeys - yes Cody's two - boyfriend oh my goodness there we go after all of that we've managed to pick up a couple of new fiefs yeah quite a lot of land actually has just become ours and that now means we're going to be the most influential member of this faction I'm guessing because we're gaining 40 free influence per day just from controlling all of these lands I know we're actually gaining about 64 per day from controlling these lands very nice you know let's also talk to many toes here I'm pretty sure he's got some lands he'd like to donate to the cause right have a proposal which will benefit both of us oh my god you controlled so much land you control bow guard Vaughn for Paul and Malcolm over Castle as well as epic roti oh it's got tea in the name right this is definitely going to become ours so for massive settlements in return for all what have I got on my list of goodies to give to you we're gonna give you a short bill because apparently we don't even have receipts for these transactions or how about 52 fuzzy scarfs to keep you warm whilst you're homeless because there's nowhere for you to stay on an 18 merchant hats so that hopefully you can start a new life and a new business as a merchant which is what I did and it proved to be very successful I then finally of course the oil to lubricate yourself so that you can right away from me and I mean just look at this man he has so much money as well he has two million gold in the bank and this is apparently a fine offer how much gold is he going to offer oh my goodness he's going to give us his settlements as well as two hundred and fifty thousand gold oh I think I've worked out the exploit here okay so here's my guess so the one thing we know for certain settlements count as a negative on the opponent's side of a trade deal so for mantis for me to even put these settlements in here that's apparently counting as me giving more than receiving which is absolutely stupid and of course not how the game should be calculating this and here's my theory it's either that the game devs forgot to actually add value to the settlements but that wouldn't necessarily make sense my opinion is that they actually added value to the settlements but they added so much value that it's looped round into being a negative I think there's an integer overflow going on here which is what happens when say in a game you have two point 1 4 billion worth of money and then you add one extra money to it and it's only becomes minus 2 point 1 4 billion my guess is that the value of these territories is looped around from being a positive into a negative meaning that we can pick them up for free in fact we're not even picking them up for free he's giving us 250,000 gold to take some of the wealthiest lands in the game well thank you very much man to us that was very generous of you if it ever dies positive relations with him right good day to you thanks for all of your land my goodness this is stupid so you now control this city here and we could of course control this castle here as well and we now control this city up here and we control varnavat hall over here as well okay we've got a got quite a few board cities to pick up I have an idea though I think we're going to go and pay a visit to the Empress herself and try and steal some land something tells me she's lying around less or on no all of this is just so utterly stupid but I love it it's actually an absolute pain to try and track down some of the nobles in order to steal their settlement so I have a solution for this instead of tracking them down we're just going to instead someone a bunch of nobles via the army menu there we go it's gonna take them a while to get here but once they arrive we'll be able to strip them of their lands and then kick them out the army right let's just sit out here in the open and wait for everyone to arrive if I hover over the income screen it's just broken it's just too much to even calculate the game does not have a way of seeing this but we've because of course I'm very generous you can have to hold cows a Saudi sword which I made myself and some armored baggy trunks yes you see baggy trunks all the rage you're gonna love it so your entire 2,000 gold left like Baron or hare and he's leading an army of over a hundred and fourteen men his wages are going to be around about 2,000 to 3,000 a day he is going bankrupt very quickly one once again another castle and a city as well as all of your gold a warhorse and in return I will give you some fluffy Highland booties yes these looking lovely here have six of them what a great voucher offer he didn't even really like me which is a shame but it doesn't matter because I've just taken all of his lands and he's gone so fantastic we summoned an army of people who stole most of their lands and glorious nurse has happened we now control more of the world than ever before so what I'm actually going to do with all of my newfound land is probably sitting inside of dennou sticker and buy a bunch of food now food is going to be necessary for what I have planned next we're going to need a lot of hogs and some sheep and some cows now we're going to march and sit in slap-bang the middle of the map in fact maybe the capital city of the southern Empire which I'm pretty sure the lice are on I'm not sure if we look at our kingdom and sort by prosperity yes look there we are totally creeping our way up there all we need to get control of Zion occur and it's an OPI oh they look fun and we're going to add a layer on and then summon an army of all the people who have over a hundred men and that should hopefully skim out all of the people who have now started losing men because they can't afford an army oh and we just made 44,000 golden one second and of course relations are high with all local notables in some of your settlements due to high security that's nice keeping everyone happy with our super high security and it's time for us to make yet another army then where it doesn't really cost us that much influence for the sole reason that we have a lot of influence so we'll summon all of the people with lots of men still and we'll see them very shortly hopefully offering us lots and lots of land oh and some men are arriving in our party good stuff now Jason here is going to give us the highest prosperity settlement in the entire game which is very which I was actually introduced to by the fantastic youtuber sorrow TV he pointed out in his own playing experience that attacking care Renne is very lucrative of course it's a very profitable thing to do but it turns out there's another site of the caravans which is slightly broken provided you can best them in a fight you can get a lot more than just their loot so we can go to the sturgeon Caravan master here and say we're going to fight him quite simple I have a hundred and eighty four men I physically can't lose this fight so I'm going to send my troops in and of course it's a glorious victory right there fantastic fifteen of them do still survive though oh and they actually dropped off thirty-one troops for me to hire nice so fifteen of them survived and technically we could take these guys as prisoners but we're actually not going to do that we're going to let them go free the reason being is they're going to give us all of their equipment which is very generous of them and after defeating that Caravan it will actually respawn in at its local city so what does this mean if you're the player well it means provided you don't have too many troops and caravans on terrified of you you can sit outside the gates of an enemy city and continuously attack the caravans because the caravans will be defeated they'll respawn in and they'll immediately pop out of the gates it's absolutely stupid how broken it is because what's even better is the next time you see that Caravan it won't be too scared of you and you can sell its own goods back to the caravan it makes absolutely no sense I know how this game is unique it really is anyway as you can see we've practically purchased almost the entire world we have a ridiculously large army which just cannot be defeated and the game is practically done the AI has no real way of coming back from this in basically sign that you win piece of paper at this point we've done it we get around about a hundred and thirteen thousand gold per turn thanks to all of our various holdings across the world oh my goodness is that an army of eighty-five forest bandits good lord that's incredible that's a band of forest bandits which could probably lay siege to a castle I love it okay with our legendary army of a hundred and ninety seven men it's time for us to fight the bushwhackers it's so stupid so what's on the side of the forest bandits here well there they have really good a range which is very impressive the only downside is I'm pretty sure I have a lot of range I also have a lot of cavalry I also have a lot of been I just have a lot of everything really right we're going to get fifty nine of our archers to line up and just absolutely shred the enemy archers oh my goodness look at this rain it's a terrain texture is that I can't tell oh it's not raining its actual arrow fire the enemies are just physically raining arrows above us is incredible right let's form a shield war men hey you go very good oh my goodness how have I not lost a single man yet just look at some of the arrows in these shields this is terrifying don't just look at this chaos a shield wall just getting absolutely swarmed by these arrows here I'll tell you what was solved this issue a nice cavalry charge there we go now when it comes to actually riding around on a horse I strongly recommend you just get a massive glaive like this because it just gives you so much range and so much damage you can one hit just about everything in the game you've really decent accuracy and you can very easily defeat infantry and cavalry especially cavalry actually because you can just run around and slam it into the cavalrymen so 11 out of 10 recommend glaive anyway those are the legendary forest bandits completely mentally defeated this is so broken we have so much influence that we can just summon an army out of nowhere to just immediately rarely upon us and defend us oh it's so silly housing its deferred oh my goodness is this the man who I need to actually finish off my quest is this the final man just running around with a single army oh he's done it is that bazooms fully done we've actually completely done it right we're gonna go finish off the seams folly what a legendary mission and of course we'll do all of this whilst attacking a massive enemy party or this is good lovely victory oh and of course 158 kills two elite 25 deaths that's a nice conversion rate I'm actually interested to see what happens when we complete this mission this final legendary mission it's only taken me most of the entire game to get here but it's time to talk to Arthur goes hello Arthur Goss okay great so I finished the tutorial request and now it tells me I need to do a quest where I need to get all these banner pieces have you seen the state of the game okay it's taken me 800 days to get to this point of in-game time the entire continent is gone I can now not go on a quest to collect little banner pieces so that you can defeat the Empire okay the game is over look there is no land to be taken this game has terrible release balance the main issue is that the vassals of the castles you take feel like they want the castles back and the way they want to get the castles back is to do your empire to get their castles back so you can seach and take a castle from an enemy Lord and he'll join you as a vassal because he's like well that's the castle I normally fight for and if it's under their control well I should be fighting for them also considering you can just immediately save and constantly reload every time you fail a charm check to convince a vassal to swap sides it just makes no sense it makes absolutely no sense oh I love this game but good lord is it box anyway this has been my demonstration of how you can perfect the odds of the deal to buy every single settlement in the game from this point on we could invade the Petain Ian's we don't need to there's no need for us to do that between just by the settlements oh this game what have I done to you alright that's it that's all I have I can't physically cope with this game very well I have almost 80 hours in this game it has only been out for a handful of days I found probably about 20 different exploits for this game I can't even show them all it is a glorious experience to play this game and a soul-crushing experience to play it as well if you want to see more mountain blade by all means I'll cover it but I'm gonna take a break from mountain blade for a while we'll probably bring back something which I understand it could relax to a bit better so leave the choice to you ladies and gentlemen would you like to see the legendary return of Skyrim would you like to see in Knights of the Old Republic
