tonight on Kitchen Nightmares Chef Ramsay heads to the rocky mountain town of Woodland Park Colorado oh my gosh and discovers the Kitchen Nightmares first go to the window a casual fine dining Italian restaurant with a drive-through this looks like a fast restaurant this bizarre restaurant is run by a very vocal owner named Julie she is clearly the judge you don't handle this kitchen I handle this [ __ ] kitchen the jury what [ __ ] is this and the dictator of the struggling establishment you go away oh my face right now she not only refuses to listen to her staff use the one in the back I said but Chef Ramsay as well Jeff any idea what's going on behind there Julie's defense is to go on the offensive winning the fingers and others you know what Trevor you refused to do anything the head chef he is only two moods kiss my ass downright angry she doesn't want to listen anything we have to talk to say we're passive-aggressive I don't like this how about this and while there are numerous problems with the food I have never seen anything as bad as this the biggest problem is that Julie I think our Foods good oh come on is in complete denial stand by my food this owner may be impossible to get through the white you're running this place is incorrect it's and Chef Ramsay may be stuck in neutral in Woodland Park Colorado why doesn't he just leave it'll all get ready for a battle oh this is and Chef Ramsay versus owner Julie I'm lady journey I can't do it and you'll be surprised how it turns out you're walkin out Woodland Park Colorado 30 minutes from Colorado Springs it's known as the city above the clouds and it's home to Mangia Mangia an Italian restaurant owned by former realtor Julie Watson hi Vonda this is silly can I help you we bought the building it was a fast food restaurant and I didn't know what concept I wanted to do would anyone like some cracked pepper my mom decided to open up an Italian restaurant because there aren't any other Italian restaurants there's three Mexican into a Chinese guys need tables this is the only Italian restaurant in Woodland Park then we've blown it come on people because Julie is a poor manager just do whatever you do how about she doesn't know what she's doing I said to use plates how are we supposed to play it on spaghetti this restaurant runs like a Jerry Springer Show yeah whatever [ __ ] and what's in the walk-in we fight a lot my mom has a tendency to yell instead of solving the problem the next [ __ ] lasagna I bring back is going up your ass she gets mad she you stay out of her way it's not in the mood for you say anything and you're gonna get it there's someone hiding [ __ ] because I just ordered three dozen balls the king of the world attitude that Julie has my biggest problem in the restaurant is my head chef Trevor who thinks he's a god I want it done and I better be done by two o'clock Thank You Trevor I hate Trevor he's disrespectful he's just not a very nice person he throws fits what's going in he's thrown stuff at me he's messed food up on purpose it's always a good way to check he's walked out before hey I don't like this how about this I've never been into a sit-down restaurant with a drive-through window thank you a drive-thru screams fast food and not just casual fine dining restaurant the food isn't cooked with much love it's cooked with stress and the microwave that one table [ __ ] so much I don't know what to do it I have had more people tell me what is wrong with me dad than ever in my whole life it's like open field day on Julie I've reached my breaking point I'm stressed and cannot take anymore deep breaths if this restaurant goes out of business I will lose everything I have put all my money into this restaurant having chef ramsay here is the last resort [Music] we are white all of it go to the window this looks like a fast-food restaurant this has to be a first he's here I see him Janelle just chill tables inside yeah well I'll be nice to see you what's your first name Janelle you know okay great let's get one thing right you Jeff tables inside line yeah okay great and the drive-thru why is it here normally people call in their order and then they pick it up so on average how many guests Troy by a day like wanted to know I'm the one of the day yes Wow well let's make this quick super today is what I just chicken and waters have a chicken wild rice ice cream mm-hmm why are you making me do this mom Jenelle Scott what should I just do soup how we normally do in the DEP there's still like a normally good let's see how quick they are very nerve-wracking she's gonna need a son I know hey Janelle II don't forget to take the top I'm going to take the top [Music] [Music] there you go that's it thank you Wow like ditching my best first smells really good dry food tell me mr. forgot to give him a spoon how's he supposed to use food you didn't give me I gave you a loan and it to me trust me if you're gonna be in the Thai food business first of all we can give me a spoon and secondly you could at least fill my cup but this is pretty horrific and you are the I'm the owner the owner well let me tell you something as the first to me a drive-through pick up the suit wasn't thick and bland and so let's catch up shop these little frilly curtains people didn't like the fact that the boosts were down and so they asked me to raise the boost and that's how we raised all right so what was the plan on opening this place because it looks like a chain restaurant it was a train restaurant no it looks like it now steel it doesn't resemble a fast-food restaurant for you well kind of but not that bad right I don't see anything you tell him whatsoever really I think it's cute okay but was not something easily never okay I'm Irish okay yes we're in all this no but that's twice it gives light into the Duchy I think it's beautiful which part is beautiful for you the faint flowers or the curtains white I'm the cuisine then I opened an Italian restaurant because people in Woodland Park said there's no Italian open an Italian restaurant and so I opened an Italian restaurant you must have some good staff surely I do so who the highlights and has a great waitress my daughter Janelle want to forgot we missed food for the suit yeah forgot to give you this phone I have Kevin's great one of my cooks rice problems what are they I think our foods great but I have a cook that has worked with me since a day I opened and he has an attitude but I haven't fired him because it's hard to get help up here in Woodland Park it is yes it is who maintains the standards here me you can throw the stops here what but you just confirmed you've kept the wrong chef for four years but he shows that 90% of time he does what he's supposed to do but 10% of the time he's an [ __ ] I'm fresh did he come from he's never worked in a restaurant so he had no background and track exactly so how did he start he was not washing dishes okay does he get on with the rest of the team before our staff he doesn't know he makes him crazy what are the service think of it they think he's an [ __ ] if he gets pissed off he'll walk out the back door and sit and smoke in the middle of service yeah yes what does that come from a street because he thinks he's a god he's seen the parade of people that I've had their fun so he's yeah exactly he knows that I can't fire her because I have no one else how old is he 22 he's 22 yes I mean 22 years of age you shouldn't be running the kitchen but somehow the food turns out good it does turn out good how's that possible because we haven't changed anything for four years okay what we'll see proofs in the eating right that's right she'll be right okay please excellent the Great Wall of Woodland Park yes I love my wall don't make fun of my wall frozen what's wrong with it fits pop well I don't I don't know what the spaghetti is glands the marinara is watery and you can tell the meatballs are frozen I don't think it was that bad I don't I I'll tell you that what do you mean old I mean I don't order bill very often it was wrong as I was trying to say Oh fresh Pacific salmon $18 50,000 frozen very weird taste look dreadful overcooked no one complains about that salmon people like it so you don't think that customers either knows frozen if they knew is frozen do you think the order does it say fresh on the menu yeah big bold letters stupid so meatballs frozen sauce watery lasagna they can't even [ __ ] reheat it properly and then why are you blown smoke up your own ass telling yourself in a deluded way that your foods good or if I miss the trick and I have ordered something that you said I should be eating who's telling you is good the customers they're not coming that's why you intent you put your funds into this place come on man up I will say this we have never had a customer annual but I have very had very few customers ever actually complained to my face you know I'm not interested about the customers that blow smoke up your ass currently I'm interested customers that aren't coming any longer and truthfully most customers don't like to complain to your face they just don't come back they wrote with a feet I don't think you've got any idea how this business is functioning I do understand how those are so special you know what's on your menu don't know how it's written your chefs disagree with you I mean I've never seen so many people so far apart and the proofs in the tasting because it felt just all over the shop you are way out your depth the food bland boring dated and when a head cook can't even have a leadership problem these guys haven't been training properly yeah you're not wrong honestly I don't feel that julie has the leadership qualities we have a very young staff and inexperienced cuss because it's been microwaved too long yeah dr. Geter scalpel I think the patient is dead truly yes time of death 744 just touch that through two seconds with her but we just say okay okay I'm saying something's [ __ ] up something's [ __ ] up why does it look like that Trevor doses microwaves we have been cooking these for four years this way all of a sudden they're [ __ ] up been [ __ ] up for a while the microwave that I said don't [ __ ] use yeah why'd you use it all the microwaves do this do this use it again me and you're gonna have a [ __ ] problem all right deal kevin has never talked to me that way and I can see that Trevor is rubbing off on that guy Chris hurry up I need to put something in what do you want me to do I can't go any faster the computers going no I your fiddly [ __ ] around I'm not doing anything I want to plate up these raviolis and get them out wasn't there supposed to be no sauce kiss my ass while Julie and Trevor continued to point the finger at each other Chef Ramsay observes the majority of tables in the dining room are disappointed with the food that's overcooked medium-well should be a thin pink line gentlemen thin pink lines so we're very sorry about that they are working on another one for you sit down just second happened so you weren't happy with the breading on the eggplant thick and it tastes fresh truthfully now where's last time that was changed it but it comes yesterday so you don't do it daily no wow she complains about the price who can place about the slightly well she put in that chicken in a plan deep breaths yeah claps yeah I'm chicken in the same container yes but look at that there yeah so what happens for a vegetarian cross-contamination I honestly never even thought of duty yes they change the breadcrumbs once every two days laughing what I'm trying to say is that I asked about the breadcrumbs the kitchen said they'd change them every two days in your mind when do they change them every day so you're saying one thing this and the other all I want is the truth I understand that is this a mistake yes and how do you change it every other day every other day because Julie makes sure that you don't throw them away that's [ __ ] okay it's worse than that you know what they put in their egg chicken an egg an eggplant I know what they put in there what I'm concerned about is in there there's bits of chicken on I understand that if I was sat here with my wife or my children they wanted a vegetarian dish yeah I think got bits of chicken [ __ ] okay I'm not taking any more [ __ ] tables boss I'm stressed out I'm not taking any more tables surgeon Jenna I just cannot do this and that during dinner service at Mangia Mangia look always pasta Chef Ramsay has discovered over 400 portions of precooked pasta and it's like a science experiment and almost every dish being cooked in the microwave owner Julie still maintains that her food is good and that all of tonight's problems are caused by the course chosen Jenna I just cannot do this and that I'm waiting on tables can you possible to the white sizzle Donnie let's just go from bad to worse you seem to be happy with it mom you just felt like four tables what the hell do you want me to do -
