I turned the floor in Mario Odyssey to lava

all right on to lost i just i just want to see the kingdom oh my god oh no we're going to instantly get burned yikes yikes we're fine it's all good i can jump across these trees no problem okay i'm i'm gonna warp to it and apparently it gets better this actually seems worse never mind apparently i had it backwards maybe they said don't warp i think he said don't warp ah crap yeah you know it's it's the steam effect from all this rain on the lava there's just so much steam it's overwhelming the game there we go feeling good now that's better now we're in the city hall interior which honestly this looks so fun like is this not wait are those okay moving platforms aren't lava that's fine are the poles lava kind of ish it's fine it's all good what if we're all up deep dude okay city hall the bottom of the water i believe we are dead oh wait it's cold warm me up the lava didn't warm me up there's icy water and there's lava there's a lot of hazards basically what i'm trying to say we need to warm up just like a tad attack me out yep okay please nice [Music] we're zipping through this we are zooming one barrier to go and there's really only one place we can go i think there's deadly lava under that snow apparently this doesn't get rid of that burn effect when you're in here mario is literally going to burn i mean i guess the the oxygen is fueling the fire yeah we need to die there all right so we need to uh i'm gonna need to bonk on this wall here i'm gonna need to do this yeah there we go and now we can capture all that's what we'd like to see okay okay um that is not what we like to see that sucks okay promising so far oh no okay oh we died we're gonna have to do the boss fight i'm doing the boss fight you know i'm doing the boss fight i'm not chickening out gushen or at least get to a checkpoint if we can get to like a checkpoint over there that would help a lot okay uh me i'm not gonna touch that fish because it scares me but it is a fish that does exist ah okay we got the checkpoint we got the check one at the very least you guys think we can make this you guys think we can do this yeah i don't think we can do that one i don't think we can do underwater vault i guess technically this is in water so you're off the hook this time sphinx anyways i'm gonna get this checkpoint because i feel like it's important because i'm about to go and get oh wait that moon is still available okay if you catch a fish can you swim through the air i don't believe so moon moon let's go baby all right oh it looks like this was just barely left uncovered so i think i can get this moon now and then this one nice usually there's enemies that attack you there but they're not there all right let's get that moon let's get that one i believe oh i for sure can get that i'm gonna just carefully navigate this little fella across these you can make it way wait well there's water here i can recharge him here we'll grab this moon [Music] recharged go over here grab this moon that should recharge him then it's just a simple nice luncheon kingdom time and i have one very simple question that i need answered immediately in luncheon kingdom i'm not going to tell you what it is until i get to it though it's completely pink that is just the best is the salt deadly the salt is not deadly that's fine that's fine that's all good [Music] okay this is what i am trying to test can mario die the answer is yes mario can die okay now that we have that out of the way this is the one thing that i wanted to test in this game because everything is lava does does that mean the whole kingdom can be traversed by a lava bubble [Music] yes it's all lava bubbles all the way down i think it uncaptured okay i'm done oh and you start to fight right there that's so cool hey you started on the platform i like that a lot okay easy poison on lava what happens if i even stand on that god that's so good can you walk on the ground with a lava bubble yeah you can let's take a lava bubble all the way up here we're just gonna travel the rest of the kingdom with this lava bubble most likely and when i say the rest of the kingdom i mean like the whole rest of the kingdom that's so funny just gonna take a little detour don't mind me for a moon [Music] let's go over this way you guys want to see something cool [Music] oh lava bubbles clip through a wall so you can get moons through a wall you can do that in another section in uh a lost kingdom actually get that looks like the meat's fine on lava we'll need a few more moons after this but i think i can definitely do it uh i think i can survive this without taking damage yo the clutchness i am so clutch etc etc so now can i just like we can just light it just by getting close and then go around and pick it up with the lava bubble okay uh two more moons two more moons oh wait wait i i know which two i know which one i'm missing we can get that one inside the kingdom there we go there's a luncheon moon all right so we are back in california all right yeah such a lovely place i need to make it down to that painting over there [Music] is it possible can i do it well let's find out it appears i can i feel like this platform won't be lava luncheon kingdom done ruin the bowser's moon that's it that's all that's left i just want to see what this kingdom looks like oh god oh no it was started grab all of these we can actually buy a heart yes first thing i've ever been able to buy this whole run [Music] and it is something that will come in there oh god okay we're fine i said i was about to say it's gonna be something that comes in very close immediately lose it rip okay all right one two totally fine oh that sucks stay on this side yeah we'll have to avoid the electricity okay i will be forced to take one or i guess two hearts of damage here that should be fine as long as we don't take another we have to jump here focus hard don't hit the ground land on the dragon get all those [Music] okay i think we got it it's gonna be a bit tricky but land on this okay focusing i got this i think one while i'm waiting i cannot afford to do this in two cycles we have to get them now okay and now i think we have lost wait i need to switch it to two player mode right now i need to switch into two player mode right now because we're about to die to die to the lava on the floor yeah you heard that that was us taking [Music] damage okay [Music] i had to do a two-player jump because i realized i had two hearts i'm gonna take damage there's nothing i can do all right that's it i guess the stream everybody and yeah for this boss fight not all of the floor is lava they're very generous i have a square and so yeah i have to defeat the boss while standing on the square the whole time and so it's we're i'm having a little bit of a hard time a little bit he's talking about the ludloc [Music] okay good just gotta land on her now fine that's fine just gonna do this but yeah this is the this is a cool challenge i hope uh hope you guys like this stream all right i need to land on her now i'm gonna wait till she comes a little closer come on this is the best attempt yet all i need an insane challenge it's so fun though like i haven't really been okay we got it i think i can just do this if i can land i was hoping to land on that crate damn can you go in the water oh yeah i guess i guess you can i didn't even think about that i guess that makes things a little bit easier huh get so caught up i was like didn't even think of the easy stuff okay we're in the pipe i'm gonna focus here though because it's gonna drop me out on the lava good okay think nice don't walk off no oh god that's a problem oh wait he spawns there yeah because i could clip out of bounds here if the floor wasn't lava but i don't need to there we go we're up okay dang dude uh stand on the ledge oh okay okay i can't even touch that it looks safe but it's not um i'm gonna have to deliberately land on some spikes but i think i can damage boost through it uh it's gonna be some precise jumps though so hopefully i got this oh maybe not that was i misjudged how high that was i'm trying to get up there [Music] there we go that's what we want to see almost i just need to land on those spikes if i can land on those spikes once 100 i can make it all the way to the end yes i think we got it i think we got it let's go nice we got it okay now i just need to not die on these spikes and this will bring me all the way up because there's another rooftop right up here and there's two deaths there you go nice look at that beautiful uh i do need to hit the checkpoint which is at the center of the bridge though it's a little scary but i have confidence in myself [Music] nice we're up okay and they said they couldn't get this boss fight to have the floor is lava uh because it just kept crashing so uh i'm just gonna act as if it's louder lava if i touch the ground um you guys can just say ah ah sounds good so no touching the floor ah ah i died okay it's it's uh that's a pretty toasty ground you got there bowser yep damn that that's that's some hot ground all right this should be fine should be able to land on him that and now i have no need to touch the ground anymore now that i'm left getting up is the hardest part now i can just do some strats stand here now wait wait wait wait fall off good and the boss is done good it's like you're a speed runner or something yeah so strange one kingdom left and then we're done moon kingdom might possibly crash at a random point says craftyboss the creator of the mod well i i guess we'll see if it does don't crash please don't crash i'm not gonna skip the cutscene not this time [Music] well don't you look dapper thanks okay i'm gonna disable the mod i'm gonna watch that cut scene and then i'm gonna re-enable it just give me a sec yo no crashes baby let's go all right let's beat this thing huh uh okay [Music] hey dude all right i'll just disable that all right here we go into the ending sequence and the lava has returned knock knock bowser wait i want to see this cutscene with the lava i want to see it oh dear no mario don't stand on the lava time for an actually hard bowser fight now happily ever after oh god oh no and we're dead not a problem not a problem two-player mode has my back i'm gonna make this fight very difficult but i can do it i'm using my hands and feet to control two controllers at the same time that's all you gotta do we're dead we are dead the i guess the corner of that floor is spicy all right bows come here let me kill you [Music] and we're dead all right speed strats activate death strats activate okay got it baby let's go okay no problem easy fast threats easy it's gonna jump over fire i've been jumping over a lot of this whole game bowser what do you think this is going to do honestly what do you think what is this going to do about it part all right let's go now for the fun part heart oh no oh okay good that's the second series of hits [Music] one two yeah yup now i can do the damage boost strat if i can get to him in time [Music] oh come on i can do damage with strats now nice that works one two three there you go one two and three and finish them off and there we go just burn it on the lava oh god i'm gonna burn again thank goodness i had an extra heart or else we would have died during this cutscene i'm gonna burn the instant this cutscene finishes yes yeah there we go we're fine it's good looks like that's a pre-rendered cutscene so it appears i cannot do the damage boost strats you will have to finish this boss with three hearts you actually have to yes okay we got it one two there we go finishing this thing off whoo get out of this hellscape of lava and fire what's he doing x g that's xd skip by the way we're finishing this game off there's nothing left they must have drained the interior of the moon of all of its magma that's where all that lava came from all right well super mario odyssey but the floor is lava the first ever run six hours seven minutes and 57 seconds and there's the game man that was probably the most amount of fun i've had in a stream in a very long time hopefully you guys enjoyed it i know i did if you want to see more of me at least make sure to follow the stream but that is all i have for you today i will be back
