yes oh that was a transformation hi I'm Brad mondo I'm a hair stylist as well as CEO and owner of my own brand X mondo hair Lisl Maxwell and Sahara I want to try these really bright dye jobs at home let's try to help through three volunteers my top tips for dyeing your hair at home are take your damn time do your research you gotta get your hair really white and bright before you put those other colors on there fixing your hair well just do it apply a matte color fast use a demi-permanent color after you've lightened your hair it's okay to be aggressive with the color follow my tips I'll be back to see and the final result I'm sure it'll be fine with my help I'm back to see what these three brave volunteers did with their at home and dye jobs hi guys I'm back so a lost car of entertainment director at cosmopolitan and today I'm going to be bleaching my hair and dyeing it purple the style that I chose actually doesn't have purple on the side so I'm only gonna bleach the top my husband and I ordered this barber kit from wall so we're gonna figure out how to cut my hair after I'm done bleaching okay good good good good good good good here's the thing you need to bleach the entire head and then you can go and shave the sides to his skin fade I would have done the entire head I would never just do the top I have this L'Oreal 30 volume developer which I'm going to be mixing in with my L'Oreal quick blue her thang stris strength perf the Hudson treated bleach lastly we have this arctic fox demi-permanent purple dye I feel like I didn't mix enough I already feel like it thanks enough okay yeah I didn't section my hair this is a hot mess I already messed up cuz he said do the tips first and like I don't know how to do that I think I'm panicking just because he said go fast I'm just gonna like scoop this out at this point really good listen honestly because your hair is so short I don't mind this your hair is virgin hair and in short you just get it on get it on quick and get it on everywhere and you'll be fine okay just as I thought like I was massaging it in and now I feel like I didn't get everything under there you definitely didn't yes oddly I don't feel any burning at all good and right as I say that cue the fire hands Wow I spoke too soon yes I am going to set my timer for 45 minutes I'll be back I truly can't tell what this did it's mad blonde it's mad lon yes cat going to that fish tank Brad said that I need this to get pale yellow this is more pissed yellow I missed some so we're gonna do it again good idea I feel like I look like what honestly he's doing a great job so far I was actually happy with how that first process came out however he does need to bleach it again but like we're getting somewhere okay all right round two this already burns like a I put my hand here I could literally reheat leftovers on my head oh oh I'm so excited I can see a peak but now for the big reveal he didn't get that much maybe it did I think this is good yeah that looks a lot better and I'm happy it didn't go any farther than this because it would have probably snapped off um once you blow-dry it it'll be really white so just wait orange it's definitely not orange no it's definitely a side look a little weird is that pale enough yes we'll see this is the final result after two times bleaching it I'm a little worried that this tiny little bottle is not gonna be enough that'll be fine love the sectioning so fabulous like you're doing a great job however in your case I probably would have just put it on the head moving mushed around and got it on there really fast but it's fine oh it's that's a pretty coloring its way through all the hair oh god this is gonna be so good Oh for me well I couldn't use this the entire time to make sure I didn't get any dye on my shirt and I did it I just applied 15 minutes of heat come on telly tubby teleport us to Mars the weird thing about rinsing my hair just now was that there was absolutely no color and what was washing out of my hair yeah that was weird and that's on porous hair it just sucks in that color and it's like nope we're not letting go of any of it oh wow definitely have some drinking this yes I'm not gonna cut off camera but I just wanted you to see the perfect match between my hair and this gorgeous barbers cape I need that Cape in my life now we're cutting I'm scared and here's the final product just coming up not even shut up I don't hate it it kind of gives depth and texture and like my own little emo fantasy troll dog a troll doll Brad I hope I didn't disappoint no okay for that back hoodie with that hair and the glasses and the haircut and it looks exactly like the picture well I don't know this is so good I actually like that it was kind of like striping some spots and like there was some missing spots it came like dimension it was funny whoa whoa times hang yes incredible all right let's move on gonna be dyeing my hair periwinkle color which is a light purple or grace purple it looks cute Brad I know you're watching this and I'm sorry for these I've seen your videos and if there's anything I've learned is do not lighten your hair at home I've decided to lighten my hair at home highlighting my hair and I'll show you the process so you can't criticize it and laugh with me I can't wait hey Brad hey guys oh whoa 15 minutes just like so her individual hair strands are quite fine fine hair tends to lighten very quickly and I'm not surprised her hair is already like very very blonde hopefully she doesn't push it too far but it looks good right and asked you should I just wash it off now her do you say you have to wait the time on the instructions because they're there if you were racing I rinse thoroughly with no conditioner anything because that's what the instructions say my hair okay we love an instruction follower okay this looks clearly not a professional look this looks like I am so happy she left it in for that length of time or else it would have been even darker and it's already a little too dark she should have gone up a little bit higher with the ombre maybe okay okay yes you can totally dilute colors with conditioner to make them whiter arctic fox love it it's so pretty I don't know if this is gonna be dark enough for what she has going on right now her hair is like at a level eight which is like kind of like a yellow blond even like a level seven right now which is like kind of too dark for a periwinkle moment so I don't know if it's really gonna show up in her hair I hope it like looks good you know that part I'm dividing one side it's definitely to lighten the other colors too good I feel like I failed you love you I think that covers the entire back this isn't gonna do anything and if it does I will be very surprised my hair [Music] fail I'm so disappointed the periwinkle made a grayish kind of thing on the tips it practically looks like my hair is a little purple their bluish purple that you can can't barely see it could be on film or a defender ah Brad you will tell me where I messed up clearly I wondered percent failed and that's it okay so where you went wrong was you it need to lighten your ends to a very blond color purple tends to cancel out yellow so if you don't put purple on hair that is pretty white it'll just end up canceling out the yellow and not really doing anything but I'm so bad okay okay you know you across absolutely Dhoni and be pink into a peach hair color so pretty I love it such a good choice if there is ever time to try to do something myself why not now and you know we're customers I can always start wearing a beanie - is it cause I am already I love that if it goes wrong cover it up you're fine you're pretty much stuck indoors anyways so it's all good those Beach wash and then once I've already rinsed that out I'm gonna come back through and hit the actual roots with like a full bleach and then you know of course I'm going about during home to get into the coloring okay this is yes that is a plan that I approve of a bleach wash you guys is a bleach mixed with developer mix with a little bit of shampoo and some water and that way the bleach lathers and it's not too harsh on the hair and it just takes off that surface level of color that she has on there she's trying to lighten it because she is going a letter color than she is right now girl those are some good supplies as I'm going to mix one part powder to one part developer added a little bit of water and some shampoo now that that's done I'm just going to like this and start mixing it until of your pink bathroom one texture I'm gonna go ahead and put my hair into four sections now for sectioning actually get the root part so I'm gonna save that when I do it later so I think you can see my hair is processing with the blonde come through so I'm gonna try to go through the next couple sections really quickly it is lifting so beautifully she's doing such a fabulous job actually so far one of the best at-home applications I've ever seen I wasn't expecting this I wasn't but I'm into it oh my gosh yeah my hair is looking so long I'm trying to like breeze against time now and hopefully an evenly bleached color hair surprised it is this easy to get the purple out really I'm terrified to do since the start of this which is bleaching my actual root area I am so scared - absolutely wreck them today okay so this is very much this is Kerry Park I love that she has her mirror taped up to the door very handy let me just tell you if she overlaps any of that new bleach she's applying with her currently bleached hair she's gonna get what's called breakage it means your hair will fall out of your head please don't do that we're gonna listen to Brad we're not going to overlap the bleach with the already bleached hair it's gonna look great hopefully I did say I'm gonna start with two scoops of bleach powder and do a four scoops of a developer if you're wondering what developer I'm using I'm just using the blonde mean she's bougie I love it one section down not bad so far we are on the third section and let me tell you morale is low can't say I didn't use enough bleach I'm definitely being heavy handed so now so I see all the time girls don't use enough bleach and she is using plenty I see a little bit of overlap which is a little concerning but it's not horrible I just finished rinsing the bleach on my roots did a good job Jerrod he does know what he's talking about who knew so I'm gonna put whoa oh it dissing me I'm shocked at how good of a job you did honestly a dark pink on like the root area and then kind of like a mid P and then more of like a peach this is what it's looking like Bonnie and the moment of truth we'll see how this color actually looks on my hair it's so much I never come that I am finally done so I'm just gonna let it sit for like 45 minutes or so and then I'm gonna blow dry just to see how it came out yours crossed it looks perfect officially done this it turned out it's not exactly like the picture I had in mind but I think it is so cute and I'm so surprised I did this myself I like how the baby peach is like very blended it yes you rocked that out your hair looks more like the picture than the picture looks like the picture whoa okay thank you so much Brad for looking out for my hair
