Junkanoo perfect here water white sandy beaches you guessed it we're going to the Bahamas alright guys welcome aboard how's everybody been doing good because you're right here good glad to hear from you my dreaming so today I have a really special treat for you guys you're flying down from Miami to Great Exuma on the gamma chain in the Bahamas a one-man review this is our route today we just took off out of Miami and we're off to the coast of Florida we just passed Bimini the next Island we're coming up on is Andros Island and after that we're going to have passed off a Nassau here on the left and then we're going to give you guys a real good view we'll go right down the Exuma chain there we'll start at Norman's key and I'll show you guys all the different points of interest and all the different islands for you guys so it should be a beautiful pre-crease flight real nice day to fly out here flying in the Bahamas to me is very special I've been doing it most of my career beauty of the Bahamas it just never gets old I get a lot of emails from different viewers who ask me if they should become a pilot we don't be answer is always the same aviation is your passion and you enjoy flying airplanes around I would say you definitely should go for women with any type of career you're going to be having do a lot of sacrifices in aviation is no different you're going to get in debt you're gonna find Fingal golf right here yeah your first couple jobs are going to be a little pay and might not be exactly the lifestyle you want but you haven't thought you can pay your dues and once you do you'll eventually get into better jobs you'll have a career that you really enjoy these cars age range one to one point here over t1 you can get other jobs besides flying airlines that don't have age restrictions of when you got to retire I started flying when I was around remember nineteen twenty nine years old so I started flying later in life and if you think about it you're only live life once 40:38 you never want to get to the end of it 7 paoz not be happy and have the question of what if if you've gone up in fun airplane so we really enjoy anything - son Jordan a careering I would say definitely pursue right now we're up here at a few 23,000 feet III got an indicated airspeed over here about 198 - no.1 33.4 but here in our eternity a crossbreed garage and trend monitor here shown us indicators beta 196 a good thing we've got your speed a 288 Ray J and rear got a Mach number of 0.45 0 a 23:58 over here 4:11 wipeout UV light in you're going to see over here you'll Chucky there's chub key right over there where we've you've ever you guys watched my videos you'll see I've done my lights in and out of that down that's right over there that's on the berry islands Miami November a 5-1 sang a brother would like to stir to sundown for a pie wanting a brother that might help one thing about is that I'm a thief another one Niner zero not a one I know one saying abroad I would like to go down past one a toe and just canceled OVF I know one thing about register said of maintain one seven thousand I saw limited fee zero doing breezers early done one seven thousand eighty five one thing Alberto alright so what I asked for was a descent down out of the flight levels so we could cancel our IFR flight and then continue on down VFR which we're going to cancel all our followings and go on our own once we get down low enough mi may November 85 one tango Bravo we'd like to cancel the IFR I'm a single rebel I can succeed if you like to remain first by following yeah we're going to start up your photo sent and we'll cancel VFR flight full-on when you lose this I'm a 5-1 tango Bravo Roger and really defending passes Oh 1 mm firm ative we're gonna go down to write down the 59 feet to enjoy the islands I made that one thing about already by doing alright so we passed chub key over here at 11:00 the next Island you're gonna see is no sorry thousand two ways you can see the International Airport right there and Atlantis is actually out there under the cloud cover but that's a Nassau have I made November 85 one tango Bravo will cancel the VFR flight on animate I one thing a Bravo Red Room later service emanated squawk VFR because you can't improve getting okay thanks for helpin joy your day eighty-five one tango Bravo hey quite alright so we are now gonna squawk 1200 and we're gonna go over to Unicom frequency continue into Great Exuma VFR vivo either hey it's Nick hey Nick how are you doing hey good team will yet alright today we're flying the TBM 850 just west of Norman's key I'm going to be dropping in and going down the exhibit chain to show all the viewers the beauty of the islands good he had a little bit of a breath I love flying in the Bahamas a lot of history out here as you do - so Nick what would sum up your experience of how you feel about flying in the Bahamas a lot of over water floss definitely some both beautiful waters in the world good no concealing that's for sure I agree a lot of people think it's you know they question flying over water in a single-engine airplane what's your opinion on that well it's a touchy subject I guess but I mean I know we operate the turbine power plant is a very reliable at operating in the park 135 we definitely applied by the logical and roof it'll pop exactly that's true flying a turbine powered airplane when you burn jet fuel it's a lot more reliable than flying a piston quickly improving well Nick it was nice hearing for me enjoy the rest of your day going into Staniel key yep um 30 minutes up ice it's a beautiful day out here well catch you later alright people have a good trip enjoy - thank you yeah that was a Nick my friend Nick he's a flying the caravan into you stand your cue right now but one limitation with the TBM that I really don't like is your inertial separator right here what the inertial separator does is when you turn it on it basically has a scoop inside that redirects a lot of the airflow it basically would turn it on and it in heavy precip well when you come down lower so if you ingest anything it will kick it out instead of sucking it all up into your engine but the limitation with it is see we're in the descent right now we're going about 240 knots you have to slow the airplane up under 200 knots to turn it on so we got the power we're pulling it back here and we're pulling the power back to get the airplane slowed up under 200 knots to turn on the inertial separate this island up here now we're entering the Exuma chain this first little area I want to show you is the is Norman's key Norman's key back in the 1980s was a haven for drug runners but as you can see Norman's key has been all redone it is a whole new runway they really made it a lot nicer very strong fit for a video 551 big bang as you guys can see you got a lot of sand bars out right now what's nice about the timing of this plate is it's low tide so as you can see look at all the beautiful sandbars and all the different colors of the water this is a section right here is actually one of my favorites coming down this chain here just south the Norman's so guys what you're going to see off your left wing right now is the Exuma National Park headquarters you're going to see all the different sail boats anchored on the channel there it's a pretty cool site to see right here then I'll get a peek these bearish or pine are only one big spaniel illegal wolf so right there that's the park headquarters let this next island you're going to see is Tyler Perry's Island the next round I'm going to show you here is going to be one of the most popular islands that you're going to want to see it's Johnny Depp's Island the actor what's cool is when he's here you'll actually have a big black and white pirate flag up and that'll teach Brownback that on top of this hill I see that quite often it doesn't look like he's there today but I'm going to show you where it's at right here gonna be off of the left side right here guys starting right here this is all Johnny Depp's island that's his main beach right there that he usually is on and uses and he also got married here to Amber Heard right over here is where the wedding was on the sand beach okay pitch Barron clarity I feel okay alright guys if you guys got a few dollars to spend this little mansion here in the table over yonder key is about five hundred thousand a week to rent that house a little beautiful out on there alright guys and this is Staniel key right down here is the Yacht Club that's where I always fly the caravan in to edit right there is by far my favorite spot and all the Bahamas this beach right here past Daniel key this is where they have really big iguanas that's gonna go on a beach right there you go over and see these really big iguanas right over there on that beach so right here guys this is cave key it's a private airstrip and I've been in there before because I'm gonna show you what's right next cave key that is this island right here very famous island called Musha key this is David Copperfield's private island I used to fly David Copperfield in and out of there many times and if State overnight actually a few times on it it's a beautiful island and over here is rudder cut I also have an old video where I've landed of video here at rotor cut where I've landed a caravan there at Coral strip and that was pretty exciting that's rudder cut Oh guys we're about eight minutes out from Great Exuma I wasn't going to I get what I get got it's been fun showing you guys the different islands here on the Exuma chain as you can see there's no difficult Roach procedures here and they basically just duck and weave and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the islands alright guys so Exuma international here is not a control tower but they have a person that sits around and gives you advisory so we'll just did an answer position here exumai you had a TBM we are 18 miles to the northwest inbound Exuma aircraft wanna come on important 1/8 mile taking the course on an aircraft right that's a TBM we're in November 85 one tango Bravo or 72 the Northwest and bond from opa-locka TBM 850 a pod one time - well good afternoon expect when I went to a great Exuma advise five mouths 7 Swain's one one zero and not three zero zero one on the station pressure thanks for the heads up and we'll report five miles up 485 wanting a brother an obama tropic estimated pick small selamat mother until ignominy shall I know abound about PA 32 he'll keep an eye out for him 85 on tango Bravo thank you very beautiful my crippled so that's the kimchi bomber he can hear advisories right Roger okay it sounds like you're the guys at 2,500 feet and we're at 1,500 feet so we should be no factor and we actually I see them on our tea cast now so we will be able to keep a good eye out fun alright guys were about five miles out so I'm going to report our position I'm going to show you where we'll be staying for the next three nights and November 85 when tango Bravo or five miles out to the northwest and bound for the airport when we clear wind capture one one did one to zero they gave us a little heads-up but here's where we're going to be staying for the next three nights right down here at sandals Emerald Bay if I can play around a golf should be a fun time looks pretty nice alright so we're on a left base here three mile left base for only one two third turn in our final here now pitch for a 110 knots right now we're still doing a hundred forty knots actually 150 so we still got to slow it up quite a bit here we've got a nice long runway here spray above between Freeport then you got NASA this is probably one of the longer runways of the Bahamas got a lot of runway to be able to use sometimes you'll see people taxiing out from the ramp we'll take off on the other end of the runway without even backtracking at all like airplanes that can you go I shorter runways we're going to be using Odyssey aviation here let see our shadow off there to the left and we're going to go back to flight idle here now I'll go back in the beta and our ramps gonna be on the left here welcome to the Exuma guys the other day when I was here I met Judge Judy you never know you're gonna meet when you're out here flying her on judge judy was really nice I asked if she was gonna fly back with me and she's like I couldn't do that my pilot would try get upset but it was really kind of cool to meet her by Odyssey Aviation is going to be over here on the left ser Marshall er coming out there to parka so fall him in all right there's our Marshall right there in front of us so I go down here and do you turn and we'll shut her down guys it was fun having you onboard hope you guys enjoyed all the scenery I was able to show you guys if you're looking to become a pilot I hope that's a little motivation right there to show you types of things you get to fly around and you might meet Judge Judy alright guys we'll talk to you again someday soon have it going alright here we are time to go have some fun yes Devo Kathy welcome to the Bahamas let's one again Oh
