you know it's going to be a pretty fun day when you get to fly for 100 tacos here in arcadia florida now we're going to fly the brand new tbm 940 back to pompano beach here we go [Music] [Applause] couple hundred dollar tacos now we're gonna head back to pompano beach we'll start this thing up let's go just letting the systems all boot up here oral warning okay all right let's do our engine start sounds good ignition auto mission is in yep bus bump on boost pump is coming on we hear the pump massive caution class message prepare to clear it start it i'm gonna hold the star for three seconds one one thousand two one thousand three one thousand release and i would have started a timer we're watching the ng rise up okay there it is to feel the low idle now we're watching our light off we're watching the itt for hot start and the ng for a hung start this is the g3000 avionics package that's right smooth engine start 40 second set of injectors in the other eyes 50 not too bad is yep ready to go so we're gonna be taking off vfr today here out of uh arcadia and we're gonna be picking up our ifr flight clearance in the air that's right steve we called right before we started we called miami center on the phone and they gave us our squad quote 4662 so we don't have to punch it in where we're trying to climb and looking out for traffic so that makes a lot easier sounds good whenever you're ready we can start taxing okay and it's clear at the front left right clear to the left we'll do the left turn of the ramp out of here put our flaps to the takeoff position setting and well thanks a lot of fun to fly with you also steve uh wayman actually over to the left there off the wing there's an area back there behind the hangers you can camp here and they have a taco truck that comes in on tuesdays great aviation atmosphere here and wayman was the one that suggested suggested to have me fly in here to experience that well thanks for coming over steve it's great to bring the tbm it's a nice little 40-minute flight and we're going to arm the auto throttle here and with the auto throttle on this take off after i advance the power pass 70 percent the auto throttle will kick in and take over instead of our takeoff power force rip to 100 got it it makes uh take off and flying the airplane very easy so here we are holding short of 2-4 william will do the radios for us today arcadia traffic tv at 9 40 11 november taking off runway 2 4 southbound arcadia all right sounds like we're got the uh runway to ourselves here so clear on final and clear down the runway we're going to take off and we'll turn left on course we're going to line up here in center line here's where this auto throttle comes in really handy i'm going to hold the brakes here i'm going to ease this power up and we'll hear click rate around 70 percent right there now i just release off my hand off the throttle and it's going to just take off power right to 100 just perfect for us i'll still keep my hand there just in case something happens and we need to abort the takeoff well temperature pressures all look good we're waiting for a rotation speed 85 90 rotate and there's our rotation speed gear up here selected tucked a lot of birds out there i see yeah i gotta be aware of that there's a ton of them over here 115 knots flaps up okay hold on well we got like 20 birds all right in front of them oh yeah listen let's go around them very good wow if you look off the left wing you'll have seen all those birds yep flaps up select let's go left turn of course arcadia traffic tbm 940 pro november turn left crosswind arcadia yeah that was that could have been bad news if we would have continued right on course right there with all those birds indeed but we got around them so we're okay on 7500 for now which is a vfr altitude for eastbound excellent miami center tvm 940 pro november 4000 out of arcadia one second following i am using the pivot leg strap today with the ipad mount it comes in really handy at the ipad you'll see there's where we just took off our little bread crumb trail and that's our routing at 4 30. we do have some pretty big storms down there let's keep an it's pretty cool to see the throttle all move on its own and just the whole system for you this airplane also has a home safe feature which is a really amazing piece of technology that just came out recently if you're playing single pilot you have your family on board or friends and the pilot is to become incapacitated anybody could just push this button and now all the displays go to like a dummy mode where basically everything will find it the perfect spot to land it comes in puts the flaps down the gear down and it lands all by itself to keep everybody else that was on board the plane safe so that new home safe feature is amazing for 9400 november cleared to the pompano airport via director gilbee then at filed climate maintain 1-1 11 000. the fort myers ultimate 299 tbm 940 power november one thousand kilby new orleans file i said 433 defending means i dialed in one one thousand and we hit the flight level change button now it's gonna pitch with hitting the flight little change button to 124 knots and uh it's going to throttle up so we get the best rate of climb up to 11 000. excellent coming up at one thousand to go number zero bravo november climb maintain one three thousand or three yeah it's like a little rocket ship if you're out there at the wing out there you'll see we've got a pretty good angle of clock number five top of the center maintain one zero thousand come down here and look at the ipad go to the airport tab we'll type in okay is uh 299 are in about 30. the airport tab here never mind i'm gonna have your on course about a minute one second and we'll get ready to set up for an approach if we need it as the weather is kind of better down there hotel 6000. and there we are leveling out at one tree hotel you can actually see the storms out there remember niner gulf papa contact fort myers approach on point 126.8 november niner four zero bravo november contact miami center one three two point four five thirty two forty five zero private november miami center tv i'm 9 40 private november one three thousand direct guilty from 9 actually we'll have wayman monitor the atis on com2 and i can um listen to com1 for our atc we'll split the radius okay that way we can both listen and acknowledge any instructions as it is really busy on the radio today right now raymond's on the other radio all right getting the atis and i'm just monitoring commodore direct jmx director delta 2012. all right the win one two five point two information oscar win is called number zero in november i have to pull the throttle back so i don't over torque the engine in or descent well this one's doing it automatically to compensate for that which actually lets you enjoy the view out the windows a little bit more because you can trust the airplane is going to make up for any of those human mistakes that would normally happen but you still always want to monitor well you can see there's some pretty big size storms out there just south of our airport and as you look at the front window all right continue right on down to 900 000 and we can even turn on the onboard weather radar right down here weather radar so now we can turn that on now that little ball dome that you see on the tip of the left wing that's the weather radar panning out in front of us to paint any rain right back through ten thousand feet 299 operated by the airplane we have a cabin altitude of 2 500 feet 21 12 contact miami center one two six that's all shown right here on the display it looks like we might be doing a little cloud surfing here it's always wow it's gorgeous huh magic carpet right but we we're coming just right where the weather is just south of pompano hopefully atc miami approach will vector us just north of those little cells there's zero problem november quarter at gilbert crossfield we have maintained four thousand kilby at four thousand zero probably november all right so we're going to cross gilbee at 4 000. get that set up though we're going to vs that down i'm going to actually go back into manual mode with the uh our airspeed the slower you go through clouds usually the less violent the bumps will be yeah if you look down here at the ipad you'll see that's where we're at right there see all those big screens eric actually now looking out the front window i don't think we're going to really have many bumps so we can speed it back up november zero bravo november contact miami approach one two six point zero five twenty six oh five tbm 940 pro in november today miami approached tv at 9 40 private november 5000 for 4 zero above november my approach expect the ils uh so i plan on doing a uh visual approach runway three three at pompano information uh oscars and if you look off the left wing we're flying over big agricultural area of florida out here and out the front is the florida everglades that's all the sugar cane fields yep and coming up soon is sun and fun beginning of april we'll be there all november procedure for now i'm sorry uh turn left direct to uh papano at the cinema maintain three thousand dollars november left turn direct popping up three thousand probably trying to yeah so we're in that mode going directly and down to three thousand we'll vs that down one thousand wait a minute pop contact detect our one two zero point niner today and the auto throttle is pulling the throttle back right now for us it's going all the way back to 70 68 percent you can see it slowly moving around i'm gonna go into a few little cloud layer here a little bit imc for a moment actually if you look out the left wing you'll see all those trails down there in the everglades that's actually airboat trails down there all the airboats go in and out and here we are leveling out at 3 thousand feet number nine four zero problem november a deviate up to 20 degrees left of course after 20 degrees left of course november thank you dan i can't really see what happens out there in front of us yet but we'll just go zero nine zero zero nine zero heading just to remain clear of uh what we see out there you wanna slow down to 200 knots yeah that'd be good yeah that way these bumps are not so bad but i'm sure all the viewers got their seat belts on so we have to worry about them there we go i set it in the manual mode we dialed it back to 200 knots now it's pulling the power back for us excellent we got our pulsating landing lights on out there if you look at the end of the wing you'll see it we're starting to get some views out there in front of us a little bit try to see if we can see where that cell is oh yeah now i can see this though we're right pointed at the edge of it out there where that rain column is if we go back to the onboard weather radar see if we can see it on there wayman that's so good idea right here 10 uh 10 miles away we're going to zoom in a little bit you're going to see a good representation of that itself you want to go left yeah let's go left a little more if we can if you could ask police miami 945 november another 10 degrees to the left please we asked for an extra left but we're not going to get back 67 33 fighting three four zero four five well it seems like the storm is mainly to our right yeah this uh precept should not be as uh rough since we've slowed number 29 kilowatt is trying to maintain uh 2000. look at the front window you'll see now we're starting to hit that oh we're coming out of that approach i could need about five uh five to ten right or left there we go eight number julia that wasn't too bad far left as you want all right november there we go we got it right now okay and 45 in november your clear visual approach runway 33 keep the final short please contact tower five point four twenty five forty for the visual three three i'm gonna disconnect the autopilot auto throttle i wanna call the tower see if uh two weight is available okay popping a tower tv of 940 prop for november on the official three three any chance november looking for the touches and clear to land four runway to it all right so get configured here all right go under our first notch flap speed below one below 178 first notch indicates pompano ground procedure we're going to reposition approved down gear down selected tower cherokee two niner two one stairs eleven out to the southwest with oxford full stop [Applause] and gear is down indicated we just went below 122. we'll now go full flap selected all right usually i go to intraculture and that's where i turn my base okay intercostal over the shoreline going to pull the odd damper back off now get on the runner pedals executive tower one two zero point niner two zero nine have a great day we're looking good on our speed just a little bit fast 90 knots november runway 28 clear clan beautiful view out the front look at all the intercoastals all the condos and everything we got a golf course too right here at the end of the runway is that gorgeous so yeah you might have to watch out for some high-flying golf balls that are turned on looking perfect on the speed do they have a dsb oh they show up in the golf balls i don't know that should be a limitation for those and we're looking good lining up right here and around two eight looking good in the speed runway 28 beautiful speed power set looking good i'm gonna just start to ease the power back the flight idle 50 feet pick up the nose positive three degrees bring up the nose bring it up there we go stall stop there we go center line nice smooth landing great landing seat the beta thank you raymond and i can just roll it down here yeah [Music] minutes after departure miami departure frequency one two six nine we'll get off here at alpha and right off the left wing there is tbm and that's where we're going to go into dyer there and we'll roll past the whole shorelines here and contact ground and clean up the plane [Music] there they are that's it correct advise me when you're ready for taxi tbm zero bob
