if to those you who haven't been keeping abreast of the recent news I got to 100k which you know confetti poppers fireworks yeah yada yada but I said in the night sky speedrun that I would do a dark souls 'speedrun I had 100 K and this is that that's now that's this alright so we got to go thief we got to get the black firebomb everything else is up to my own actually no gotta go swim Yuri great swamped he's got a look in his eyes it looks real sad I'm gonna be I'm gonna be gloomy swamp Gus he looks like a failed Team Rocket so far it's going great let's see him let's see him up there there's don't know if you can do it with the dagger that easily cuz it's a fast animation there it is so you see the use select item or you selected item on top of the stamina bar and there's kind of some like jank over by the enter button if we use an Estes it'll prompt us for a fire keeper soul and we can use a fox for free we still have the fire keeper solo isn't that pink and we can do that with will do that with boss souls later gotta grab that one first cuz he wakes up if you grab either of these this is original original Souls all part of the plan ladies and folks I had this oh I was gonna say I had this down to a science just earlier today I gotta get back in the swing of things that used to nest his weight sometimes it does that I'm not quite sure why it does that but sometimes you just use an Estes even if it looks like you did it right no it's just these Drake's I will not be getting the tier stone ring because fun fact you have to take damage for that to work and I'm not a scrub who takes damage all right so I'm gonna sprint down here and not to instantly kill yeah yeah he stepped on me and it did damage okay we're gonna play this game all right I'm gonna we're gonna go there's the snake behind you that's why I always get [ __ ] I'm not really in the right spot for this okay it worked anyway for some reason I think the camera like can't go past a certain axis so when you travel up it looks like this I don't want to a growing more dudes but I'm gonna use keyboard keyboards easier for this for whatever reason Oh God we can actually rest in level at the bonfire while this is happening believe it or not somebody said can you explain this glitch i I don't know the full like reason why it happens but I think it's that I locked so there's this thing called death cam when you fall it it switches to this like bird's-eye view perspective and there are certain places we're gonna see it again in the run somewhere else but there are certain places where you can trigger the death cam happening without actually without actually dying so then you can get to places that are not loaded and then you can get past obstacles that would normally be there because they're not loaded in such as the gate that sends fortress which I suspect is some kind of like in the game's programming some kind of like special object that has that goes away when it's not when the area is not loaded in but the level geometry still does for some reason I don't know so this snake that's just sitting here like chillin even if you go up to him it's a well-known fact he won't attack you you can get right up in his face and he won't do anything and I always wondered why this guy is here and what his function is we will actually see his function later all right now I'm gonna show off a slick strat that a bit I bet some of you didn't know about if you avoid these guys they just fall asleep like an idiot then you can take their [ __ ] so I think I just need to crank that one time and we're gonna see that snake man's purpose real soon here there he is it's to let you know you hit the boulder the right way isn't that nice let's see send skip oh my god we're getting so far we're most of the way this is actually going a lot faster than I thought it would what I'm most of the way through the run we still got some oh we got some pain so where am I going next I'm gonna need to look at my list here now we gotta go kill the Bell things you remember how I said we were skipping the bells not so we're actually doing them you know what let's get Silurian on this even though we don't need them at all cuz we're super overpowered for this fight I'm killing I'm reading both the bells because we need them to be rung four frames to show up so that then I can go down to fire link like two more whatever and place the Lord vessel yeah that's some good damage that is some decent [ __ ] damage right there what's that half health stands for bish Bosch got him look at somebody possibility that I will die here fun fact there we go and I died good so what that is is there's a death cam moment there to where the death barrier just barely clips into a place where you can actually stand and you would normally be considered alive and so what you do there is you stand on a certain spot you break those pots to get to the place we need to stand once you're standing there the death cam will happen but if you go too far and you'll just [ __ ] die instantly because the game thinks you've fallen down it's pretty silly right tiny steps tiny baby steps have to edge into the zone there it is this is so hard to do without seriously injuring or maiming oneself it's just gonna kill me I'm not quite trying to keep myself from getting poisoned oh [ __ ] guys I'm an idiot I have to redo I have to redo I have to redo I have to go to qui lag first rest here this bonfire actually let's see if we can get this bonfire to be the janky thing this one in particular [ __ ] your leg sometimes did you see it do you see it yeah yeah there it is yeah here those bones snap bit of luggage you know so I got to go into qui legs room and be like hey what's up ok I'm leaving now ok so now I'm in here I'm gonna immediately bone back out there's a fun part right here you can't get past this point unless you roll and I've heard from people that that's actually not a feature in every person's copy of Dark Souls it's just because I have like the shittily optimized PC port sometimes apparently depending on like your framerate or like your CPU or something you won't be able to get over certain bumps on the ground which is why that moment in the great hollow happened it is true [ __ ] all right this is so weird looking it actually looks [ __ ] awesome though like having a huge bird's-eye view of this whole area alright now we're in the hole I honestly have no idea how this is gonna work out if I'm gonna get [ __ ] or not I don't hear any music nor do I hear chaos which we leg I think this is as far as I can go captain if this doesn't work that I'm just gonna [ __ ] kill cui leg I swear it didn't work guys it didn't work why didn't it work well folks that's a big bro moment top 10 bros at least we got to see some cool camera jank alright and boom get done height powerful link in the battle just gonna take him about you know 600 hours to crawl out of my way I'm trying to think of the amount of work it would be to save Solaire just to have him for the final fight not that I think I need him necessarily oh [ __ ] yeah we're on the last page that's the sound of that getting torn off oh yeah we've only got a couple steps left guys this is good is this going real well someone said this was shorter than I thought it was gonna be oh there's still more those two steps will take a while chosen undead you have proved yourself worthy and what are you going don't do that hold it for just a second see that guy right there that's actually me now at about this point in the run I was at two and a half hours and I was feeling great sends Schiphol it took me a couple tries I got the Black Knight helper in an Orlando went down lickety-split I wasn't duplicating souls as well or consistently as I'd hoped but I figured this is the home stretch right how bad could oh [Music]
