I made a party in balers Gate 3 with eight bears and no I did not use any mods hey guys Omaha here today I'm going to go over the Beast Master subass for the Ranger and show you all the Animal Companions as well as all the Spells and abilities Rangers are unrivaled scouts and trackers honing a deep connection with nature in order to hunt their favored prey you're going to be proficient with simple weapons and Marshall weapons this will add your proficiency bonus to attack roles with these weapon types so it makes it easy e to hit and then light armor medium armor and shield so wearing these armor types will not impose disadvantage on your attack roles or prevent you from casting spells then you're going to choose your favorite enemy studying the tactics and abilities of certain creatures has granted you a set of abilities that is useful in a variety of situations there's Bounty Hunter you gain Proficiency in investigation creatures you hit creatures you hit within snaring strike either ranged or melee have disadvantage on their saving throw so they're going to be easier to hit with this spell Keeper of the veil you specialize in hunting creatures from other planes of existence you gain proficiency and are Hana which lets you recognize magic interact with Enchanted items and can cast protection from evil and good Mage breaker you have a history of battling spellcasters you gain Proficiency in Arcana and can cast true strike Ranger Knight you have sworn to serve a crown or nation and seek to bring its foes to ruin gain skill Proficiency in history remember the past of the world and its people and armor proficiency with heavy armor so you can wear heavy armor without imposing disadvantage on attack roles or blocking spells Sanctified stalker you swore to hunt the enemies of a holy or druidic order you gain proficient in religion recognize deities understand holy rights and can cast sacred flame then you'll choose your natural Explorer ability years of traveling in the wild have made you particularly attuned to beasts or Adept at surviving in certain environments there's Beast Tamer you have cultivated a strong bond with animals you can cast fine familiar without expending a spell slot Urban tracker an expert at navigating the wild within the city you gain proficiency and slide of hand helps you pick locks and Pockets into disarm traps then there's Wasteland Wanderer cold you have spent days surviving desolate Tundras you gain resistance to cold damage so you take half damage from cold Wasteland Wanderer fire you've spent endless days surviving forbidden deserts you gain resistance to fire damage and waste and Wanderer poison you have spent endless days surviving FedEd swamps you gain resistance to poison damage you'll then apply your ability points keeping in mind that dexterity is your most important ability it's going to affect your ranged weapons and finesse weapons it also affects your initiative and armor class and as a ranger your spell casting ability is going to be based on your wisdom then you'll apply your skill proficiencies being able to choose three between Athletics help you shove and resist being shoved stealth stay out of sight melt into the Shadows helps you with hiding investigation analyze Clues solve Mysteries nature recognize plants and animals hug Trees Animal handling influence animals pet all of the dogs Insight read people and situations detect lies perception observe your environment spot hidden details and survival stay alive in the Wilds track prey all right at level two your Health's going to get increased you're going to get two level one spell slots which are restored on a long rest you'll be able to choose two spells from animal friendship cure wounds and snaring strike fog Cloud good Berry hail of thorns Hunter's Mark enhance leap long Strider and speak with animals then choose your fighting style adopt a particular style of fighting as your specialty so there's archery you gain a plus two bonus to ranged weapon attacks defense you gain a plus one bonus to Armor class while wearing armor dueling when you are wielding a melee weapon that is not two-handed or versatile in one hand and no weapon in the other you gain an additional two Dam Dage with that weapon and two weapon fighting when you make an attack with your offhand weapon you can add your ability modifier to the damage of the attack all right at level threes we're going to choose your subass for the video I chose Beast Master Beast Masters bind themselves to an animal companion sharing an intelligent bond that flourishes in and out of combat this is going to give you the action Rangers companion gain a beast companion that accompanies you on your adventures and fights alongside you and you can cast that within a range of 60 ft and it's an action you're going to get that Health increase your third level one spell slot and you're going to choose another spell from the original list and you're going to be able to replace a spell because you can only have a certain amount equipped at a time so you can select one of the Spells you have and replace it with one from the original list so Rangers companion will actually give you five companions to choose from all of them are permanent and if they die you can just summon them again after a short rest so there's bear companions summon a black bear that can endure heavy attacks and draw the enemy's attention with its goting Roar his name is Ursa you're Ursa stats Armor class of 11 he has 19 HP to start and he has preent passive feature you deal an additional 1 to six damage to creatures marked by your Rangers Hunter Mark so if you use Hunter mark on any creature your companions will do one to six extra damage against those creatures he has claws which do 3 to 10 slashing damage lash out with deadly Claws and it's a range of melee and uses an action goting roar roar at nearby enemies to go them into attacking you for two turns has a range of 30 ft and it's a wisdom saving throw and that also uses an action he was saved but he was goated must attack the Goen Creature if possible and then he has Dash hide jump disengage and then you can dismiss the summon at any time for a bonus action then there's the boar companion summon a boar that can sweep through the battlefield and knock enemies off their feet with its charge his name is Veris or vettis and here are his stats he starts with 11 HP Armor class of 11 and he has preent so he has Tusk attack which does 2 to S slashing damage Gore a target with the range of melee he uses an action and he has bore charge which does two to five damage of slashing charge forward attacking all enemies in the way and possibly knocking them prone so pron is where they can't move overtake actions bonus actions or reactions and have disadvantage on dexterity and strength saving throws attacks against a prone creature have Advantage if they are made within 10 feet of the creature a prone creature must spend half its movement speed to stand up so that'll be for two turns this attack doesn't provoke opportunity attacks has a range of 30 ft and it's a strength saving throw and it uses an action and then he also has death Dash hide jump and disengage and you can dismiss him as a bonus action then there's wolf spider companion summon a wolf spider that can shoot webs and poison enemies with its bite his name is aranan he has 10 HP to start those are his stats he has an armor class of 14 he has prey scent as well dark vision can see in the dark up to 40 ft and web Walker isn't slowed down by web surfaces and can't be in webbed by them so he has venomous bite which does 4 to 11 piercing damage bite a Target and possibly poison it so po poisoned they suffer disadvantage on attack roles and ability checks so they're not going to be able to hit people as easily that's going to last for two turns it's a range of melee and it uses an action these guys are immune to poison and then he has web expel a thick flammable webbing that slows creatures within and possibly and webs them so when they're in web they cannot move attack rolls against the affected entity have Advantage they're going to have an easier time hitting them whil it's attack rolls have disadvantage so they're going to have a harder time hitting you it also has disadvantage on dexterity saving throws that'll last 10 turns has an area of effect of 10 ft a range of 60 feet and it's a dexterity saving throw and it uses an action he also has Dash hide arachnid jump which lets you jump farther than normal and disengage and then you can dismiss him with a bonus action then we have dire Raven companion summon a dire Raven that can fly and blind its enemies and his name is corvis he has 13 HP to start he's an armor class of 16 and her is stats he also has praise scent corvis will also be the only companion that doesn't make NPCs flee in Terror and he has a Proficiency in perception which lets him spot hidden details he has beak attack which does 4 to 10 piercing damage Peck at a target with a range of melee then he has Ren Vision does 3 to eight piercing damage attacks a creatures eyes and blinds it so when he's blinded they have disadvantage on attack rolls range of attacks and spells reduced to 10 ft attack rolls against blinded creatures have Advantage that'll last two turns this a range of melee and it uses an action he also has Dash hide disengage fly let's as you fly to a Target position in 60 ft and you can dismiss him as a bonus action and then we have wolf companion summon a wolf that can inflict devastating wounds and knock down enemies with its lunging bite so his name is lupus he starts out with 11 HP he's an armor class of 13 He has prey scent as well and he has pack tactics creature has advantage on attack rolls against a Target if one of it allies is within 10 ft of the Target and isn't incapacitated lupus also has proficiencies and stealth which helps him hide and perception which lets you spot hid in details he has bite which does 4 to 10 piercing damage bite a Target it's a range of melee and uses an action he also has lunging bite which does 3 to six piercing damage lunge at a Target to bite it and possibly knock it prone for two turns it's a range of melee it's a strength saving throw and it uses an action he also has Dash hide jump disengage and you can dismiss him as a bonus action once you hit level four you're going to get another Health increase you have the option to replace a spell again and then you're going to choose your first feet at level five you're going to get another Health increase your fourth level one spell slot your first two level two spell slots and the feature extra attack you can make an additional free attack after making an unarmed or weapon attack if you gain the extra attack feature from more than one class they don't add together so now you can attack twice in one turn you're going to gain another spell now having access to level two spells bark skin dark vision lesser restoration pass without Trace protection from Poison silence and Spike growth then you'll get the subass feature companion's Bond the bond between you and your animal companion grows stronger your proficiency bonus is added to its armor class and damage roles so it's not stated in the game but your companion's Bond's also going to apply to your attack roles which is going to make it easier to hit and get Critical Hits and then you'll have the option to replace a spell so companions Bond's actually going to do a couple of things for one your companions are going to get a visual upgrade so Ursa is now Ursa Major and he now has armor on his head Ursa Major's HP is going to go up to 39 Constitution is going to go up by two so now it's 16 instead of 14 right here it shows he has 12 base Armor class plus three from proficiency so if you want to see your proficiency bonus you can go into your stats and click detailed View and down here it says proficiency bonus plus three and that's going to go up as you level up then it's going to also add the proficiency bonus to their damage roles so here it still says 3 to 10 damage but if you go down here it'll say damage roll four so I rolled a four out of eight added plus two from the strength modifier and then the plus three from my proficiency bonus equals a total of nine damage and then your companions are going to get new attacks so Ursa Major now as honey paw does 3 to 10 slashing damage lash out with Paws sticky from honey and disarm your target if it isn't holding any weapons it falls prone instead so disarmed they're going to drop their weapon to the ground that's going to last one turn and if they go prone that'll lost one turn it's a range of melee and it uses an action there he dropped his weapon so varis majer also has a helmet as well his HP is going to be 27 now his armor class gets the plus three bonus so now he's at at 14 and then his strength is going to go up by two so it was 13 now it's at 15 that's going to be reflected in his attack damage so now instead of 2 to 7 he does 3 to eight damage on his Tusk attack and two to five damage on his bore charge he's also going to get two new abilities rage go into a frenzy increasing your size and becoming stronger through raw anger while raging your melee attacks deal an additional two slashing damage you gain resistance to physical damage so you take half and advantage on strength checks and saving throws you can use frenzied strike that'll last 10 turns and rage ends early if you don't attack an enemy or take damage each turn you can't cast or concentrate on spells while raging so that'll be once per battle and uses a bonus action and then frenzy strike will do three to eight slashing damage Gore an enemy while in a fit of rage that uses a bonus action and has a range of melee so there for my attack roll you see I did a critical hit I rolled to 25 with all my added bonuses and then for the damage roll all the numbers added up equals 21 damage iranium major now now has a blue tint to him his dexterity is going to go up by two which is also going to be reflected in his armor class so now his armor class went from 14 to 18 plus three from my proficiency and then another one from the dexterity boost he got so the increased dexterity is going to make his venomous bite go up to 5 to 12 damage and his HP is now going to be at 24 and he's going to get a new ability called cocoon trap a creature in your web to cocoon it so cocoon they're trapped in a spider's web can't move or take actions bonus actions or reactions the condition ends a bond taking damage and it's a strength save that'll last three turns it's got a range of melee it's dexterity saving throw and it uses an action corvis major is going to get some cool looking armor his armor class is now going to be 19 he's going to have 21 HP and his Constitution is going to go up by two his big attack is going to go up to 5 to 14 damage and his Ren division will go up to 4 to 12 damage he's now going to have the ability bat Omen does 2 to 16 piercing damage hurl one of your feathers at a Target to Market as cursed so curse of the dire Raven marked by the feather of a dire Raven attack rolls against the affected entity have Advantage so it's going to be easier to hit them that'll last two turns and on a save the Target still takes half damage has a range of 30 ft it's a wisdom saving throw can use it once per turn and it's an action lupus Major's going to get a helmet his armor class is going to go up to 16 his health is going to go up to 31 he's going to get plus two to his dexterity and he now has a new attack called infectious bite that's going to do 4 to 10 necrotic damage bite a Target and possibly turn it septic so septic affected entity has its Constitution reduced by one and has disadvantage on Constitution saving throws that'll last three turns it's a melee attack it's a constitution saving throw and it uses an action so now he's septic once you hit Level six your Health's going to go up again and you're going to be able to choose another favored enemy passive as well as another natural Explorer passive then you'll have the option to replace a spell all right at level seven you're going to get that Health increase again you're going to get your third level two spell slot you're going to be able to choose another spell you're going to get the subclass feature exceptional training your companion animal can Dash disengage and help as a bonus action instead of an action so help help up down characters or remove burning and snared entangled in webbed prone and sleeping that is huge that's really good and then you'll have the option to replace a spell now your creatures are basically going to be able to revive you and attack in the same turn or Dash to the Target if they're far away and attack in the same turn once you hit level eight your Health's going to go up again you're going to get the class feature land stride difficult terrain you've become an expert at moving through the Wilderness difficult terrain no longer slows you down so ice or Thorns none of that stuff's going to slow you down you can move through it at the normal speed you're going to be able to replace a spell and then you can choose your second feet and then something not stated in here is all of your companion are going to get increased HP Versa major will have 69 HP Baris major will have 51 HP arania will have 42 HP corvis is going to have 32 HP and lupus will have 61 HP when you hit Level 9 your Health's going to go up again you're going to get two level three spell slots you're going to be able to choose a spell now having access to the level three spells conjure barrage daylight lightning Arrow plant growth and protection from energy and then you can replace a spell all right once you hit Level 10 Health increase you're going to get the action hide and plain sight camouflage yourself with your environment to become invisible and gain a plus 10 bonus to stealth checks as long as you stand still that's going to last until a long rest invisibility ends early if you move Attack cast another spell take an action or take damage that uses an action so here's what hide and plane looks like and if you move it goes away then you'll be able to choose another passive favored enemy and another passive natural Explorer ability and then you can replace a spell all right so level 11's a spicy one there's quite a bit of stuff here that isn't stated so I'm going to go through all of it you're going to get the health increase your third level three spell slot you're going to be able to choose another spell from the list you're going to get the subass feature besal Fury your bond with your companion has deepened unlocking their inner strength and giving them an extra attack so now they're going to be able to attack two times in a turn and then you'll be able to replace a spell so first of all all of your companions are going to get a visual upgrade again so he has a new helmet Ursa engines now his name is going to go up to 99 hit points my proficiency is now four so his armor class will be 18 his strength will go up by four so from 15 to 19 which in turn is going to upgrade some of his attack damage so Claus will do 5 to 12 damage now and honey Paws will do 5 to 12 damage as well and then he's going to get this sick ability called uring reinforcements you summon an additional bear to fight alongside you and that lasts until long rest so now you got two of the boys it's going to summon Ursa Major so he'll have 39 HP he won't be as strong as Ursa engines but he's going to have all the same abilities you had at level five Varys is now Varys kosis I think I said that right he's got a new helmet his armor class is now 17 and he has 85 hit points his Constitution is going to go up by four so now it's at 16 instead of 12 and he's going to get a new ability called kick up Muk slather a Target in mud slowing them so slowed affected entity's movement speed is haved and its armor class and dexterity saving throws are reduced by two The Entity can't take reactions or make more than one attack per turn and can only take either an action or a bonus action spells cast might be delayed for one turn and that's a wisdom save on that that'll last two turns so this has an area effect of 30 feet and it's a dexterity saving throw and it uses an action he got a little cone there so now he's mud drenched thick mud has your movement speed and reduces Armor class and dexterity saving throws by two arania is now going to be arania accul his HP is going to go up to 60 he's going to have an armor class of 21 now his wisdom will increase by three so from 12 to 15 and he's going to get a new passive feature called eight-legged Walts whenever you start your turn on a web surface you now gain extra movement speed and become resistant to poison damage so you only take half damage from Poison and then he's going to get a new action called bursting brood that does 2 to 20 piercing damage launch a clutch of your brood to infest your target so infested it's going to do 2 to eight damage crawling with tiny spiders that deal 1 to four piercing damage and 1 to four poison damage each turn when hit with a melee attack the infestation spreads to the attacker upon death the infestation spreads to all nearby creatures removed by fire or acid doesn't harm Eder Caps or spiders so that'll last until a long rest it's got a range of 30 ft and it uses an action so now he's infested at the start of his turn he can make a new saving throw to try and remove the infestation so corvis will now be corvis seller his HP is going to go up to 44 his armor class will now be at 21 his wisdom will increase by two from 12 to 14 and Charisma will increase by two from 6 to 8 he now has the passive feature Raven sight The Raven cannot be blinded his beak attack will go up to 5 to 16 damage and his Ren Vision attack will go up to 4 to 14 damage he's going to get the ability on black wings summon two Ravens Allied to you you cannot control the Ravens that's going to last until a long rest and has a range of 30 ft you have two Ravens at 13 HP they're going to have the same stats as the original corvis and they'll follow him around and then it's going to going to upgrade your fly action so when you land it's going to cast Darkness around you and darkness is a spell so Darkness a shroud of magical darkness that heavily obscures and blinds creatures within creatures cannot make range attacks into or out of the darkness so that's going to let you push range attackers easily and lupus will now become lupus Optimus his helmet's going to change a little bit he's now going to have 91 hit points in an armor class of 21 his dexterity is going to increase from 15 to 18 so plus three and now your infectious bite will do 6 to 12 damage as well as your regular bite doing 6 to 12 damage and your lunging bite now doing 5 to8 damage and he's going to get the action Loop and slash it's going to do 8 to 18 Force damage strike nearby Targets within 10 ft using a spectral sword that appears between your jaws it's going to have an area of effect of 10 ft and it's going to use an action and finally when you get to level 12 you're going to get a final Health increase your fourth level three spell slot you have the option to replace a spell and then you can choose your
