Adapt - (Spore Like Evolution/Survival Game)

um okay so um so this is adapt uh it's coming out here i guess it's well it says it's out um is it out no not out yet um coming soon and uh there is a there's a demo that's out now uh which is what we're checking out today so what's going on is uh it's basically spore it's the creature stage of spore we're gonna make ourselves an animal uh and then we're gonna we're gonna um you know hang around in in in the world evolve meet new uh critters and and i think we spawn new critters find your niche through careful evolutionary choices the real question is not if you can survive but for how long my rocket ship studios and it's over on h.i.o which was where i'm playing the demo over here um this is when the demo came out the prologue so um yeah let's check it out it's it's different but um it's it's it's something so i thought we should check this thing out so there's no like spaceship or or like civilization style thing i don't think is the plan but i think they are planning on getting things like um uh like there's fins you can go in the water and flying flying around which is interesting so anyway new game okay so not much of a tutorial but i've messed with this a little bit so i got kind of an idea of this so we got evolution points down here my head's in the way evolution points um we got 16 of them as you can see there and we'll use those to add things on to our our animal so we have this is our guy right now we can change them around though if we want right now uh we can see where he likes land wise we can change his color he's pink right now we can make him you know like i don't know um like um like a like a like a like an orange where's an orange [Music] yeah yeah a nice a nice orange but the details are going to be was that your eye your eyes back there what's wrong with you we can move these things around there's this eyeball we can move that around if we want um you see some of his interesting things around here we can change like his i i haven't quite have this part yet but we can see what his attack is i think these things all get added in as you add in the bits and bobs on thing like his head his sensory his flare and his limbs which we buy these things from our gene shop basically so lifecycle use the lifecycle panel to control your animal metabolic features such as size and reproduction which is where um oh when when's mating season season is in the winter um these are lock so we're gonna we're just an egg we come from an egg growth we can change that so no these are locked okay we'll leave those alone um and then we're gonna go with uh with some things over here so let's go mess with our guy let's let's do something so we go the body um you know that's all right with something like that that's good that's good that's good um i like it uh how about your tail that's that's terrible i want to look at that a fin we could go with a fin we can go with a long tail or a uh a short tail can i get a tail that goes up i want like um i think we just sort of roam around here and pick a spot i don't know up on this hill sure whatever that sounds good okay and uh there's this meat laying around apparently in the world um i'm on medium diff medium resolution they haven't quite optimized the the looks of the game so it's not quite as pretty as it could be but uh there we go um i'm hideous okay so it's kind of like a third person point of view thing so we have a couple actions we can work on so right now my mood is either alert social angry you can see i can change that around so we're going to go with just alert i'm going to walk around using wazi we can walk around iraq the gungan does world of the tongue pretty nice um we can go and we can like look at this thing and i can observe it like we can like look at why we so we can like keep our camera on there for some reason uh let's cancel that let's walk over there can we what do we eat i didn't look at that um i'm assuming i eat i don't know animals um but let's go ahead and and i think i i'm not hungry i think we're trying to tell me but we can we can like if i was hungry i could eat it maybe or maybe i can't eat it we can search it nope okay let's go look oh here's a bush ooh puts it over there plants maybe let's take a look at can we um i can grab it i got it i got it what do we do with it maybe we give it to one of our buddies any see any buddies out here all flowers so if you observe it just puts the camera angle on that thing well okay let's not let's not do that anymore uh i kind of i'll see if i can carry it and give it to somebody so um had to grab that before are you hungry you want to eat that stop moving go go grab it let's get over here come on buddy come on buddy okay so we can observe it we can also grab it click come in back there i don't mess with that guy so this should be some of my guys or my friends around here now one thing about the game i don't know if you know like spore if you have friends that have the game they make their animals and they can be in your game i don't know i'm not sure they're they're running um so the x-men's point i think means that they are alert so we can go into angry mode let's go into social mode we can broadcast hello i think they're scared of me hey buddy what's wrong with your face oh oh look i'm friendly you don't look so friendly uh hello what's f1 do okay you're trying to eat me are you is that my should i keep an eye on my egg my nest i don't know we can call um i'm gonna go i'm gonna go angry angry we're gonna we can strike we're threatening i'm gonna little bit of what they were talking about what the dev was talking about is is adding i guess some things like as mentioned before fins and flying um i don't really know i saw some people also showing pictures of like they were like running around in packs when i dabbled with this before i i found some of my own people and i was like trying to become friends with them i didn't know what i was doing um so we'll see [Music] it seems you're a meat eater based on the meat icon on the left it's because of my mouth i think i chose the bitey mouth so we could go in and we can go with we could was a like a t-rex the first one who sued that who said that he's making noises okay let's go look over here what a weird but but fascinating game we're gonna eat this guy hey buddy remember me i'm this guy i'm gonna get him you leave me to my friends if possible so we also i think at some point we also come back and we will learn we'll get new genes and i guess by doing certain things we'll get quitting never mind all right we're calling it a day here this is adapt um fascinating little thing i'm eager to see what happens to it eventually um there you go cooperate with like-minded animals increase your chances go out alone or use brute force overpower potential fats we did that look they're swimming in the water i want to do that numerous special abilities stay ahead of competition and off the menu daily seasonal weather cycles interact with everything free prologue that is on the h on the edge page arachna gungan that was it so um yeah fascinating and you can you can pre-order if that's your thing i don't know when it's supposed to be coming out exactly but sometimes
