4WDING UP A CLIFF – Who didn’t make it… PLUS Shauno’s hilarious Christmas Cook-Up

yeah boy folks we are halfway through a southeast Queensland wild weekend and up until this point here I thought I'd seen it all but this track here it's a bit of a secret track we're not gonna give anything away trust me when I say though it is one of the wildest tracks you'll ever do because the main road is just there I can see it Shawn oh well he's been in some positions before but up until now I think this is the most vertical you've been seen blue sky like he can't even talk you seat belt so tight so we're gonna try it and get him up here right this is one fiftieth of this track right it's give it a real go Merry Christmas legends and I here at full drive action we abso-bloody-lutely love christmas me yeah there's one thing we like even more and that's wheeling on a long weekend so why not dude boy welcome to a festive season weekend wheel drive action star yep it's gonna be a wild ride and our adventure begins right here you want a Queensland's favorite four-wheel-drive playgrounds none other than Land Cruiser Mountain Park sure you get a copy mate sure do mate there's anything I like better free beer and that's Christmas holidays mate it's a good time here isn't a make good time here and don't where we go I've had a lot of fun too cracking part of the world Mike we're really really cool I'm looking forward to spy I've been a tea for about a year now and look this place I think this gets hotter and hotter yeah it does mate so much to say go not to mention some great camping Sarika the boys will be infiltrating speaking of the boys we've got a good-looking convoy on this trip start with our mate Shane from fulcrum suspensions now of course these guys are known for their super Pro and formula shocks and it's Shane's rig that's kitted out with their latest creations front and rear next up we've got a new face in the convoy Kaito from drift a four-wheel drive and camping now these are the guys that designed the amazing custom draw set up in Shawn's 80 and Kaito is wheeling a 76 pimped out with all the bells and whistles from their quality range now you asked for him and here he is our resident lovable weirdo and my good mate Jocko and he's insane sassed Hilux it's a track monster complete with new tray and touring mods and a spare tail shaft for good measure rounding out that convoy is none other than Sam from spares box now you'll know these legends as the one-stop online shop for all things four-wheel drive related from Spears to accessories delivered directly to your door up the front of the convoy is of course this bug lugs my good mate shorter but this time he's brought a passenger this of course is MIA and my advice to her it's hang on girl with introductions out of the way it's time for our first track of the day it's called proto Hill it's not a bad way to start off the weekend stay put or he'll go on counterpoise um looks pretty shyly to this what's a hill yes big log on the track I'm gonna have to clear it in their sake nope hey lucky for sure he's got maybe helping right if you grab the heavy end oh this can we that's good riggan that's that's a heavy thing up on that lady oh come on okay the heavy in there yeah oh that's a B log oh I might need to change me Underpants that's not from driving all right came join so I can put my sickness on you scrabbling so Dee has a habit of making tough tracks look easy but I can tell you this is a steep slippery climb well Shawn I've done that quite easy I think if I'm gonna have an issue here it's gonna be one of clearance smaller tires a bit lower slung which often does me a lot of favors center of gravity so much lower but yeah we'll just have to see how we go here I might need a little bit of right boot gives you this hidden whoa all right see how I fear there's still a big log in the track there's a log is the lump is that rock [Music] she wants it [Music] yes some made a true what a river Wow oh yeah that's dusty [Laughter] [Music] Cheyenne's got the game face on and he's pitting he's rigged up these claw [Applause] and thus whoa I can you've just cut the top off this as well I think I have just actually ruled Liza Depp you made it easier for ever and I have my look not all heroes worst let's go sigh skirts plenty of loose rocks on this one kada of course is wheeling a 76 and they're not exactly known for keeping all four wheels on the ground what I mean ever let's see how he goes on this one yep as I thought that was pretty spectacular to watch Hey he did that in three wheel drive technically yeah alright Jacko's up next with reduction gears the Luxy isn't exactly fast but damn it's capable what are the thoughts that looks sick whoo I think you drive that well I couldn't quite so you couldn't say there's a car somewhere in this before we driving the dustcloud don't like he knows then he we so got real ever wet wipe out of the moment we'll have these desolating it'll last man up the climb and Sam might show us what that ad can do disgusting is you ready go with that shine that's all right all right you get a taste of the tracks when you drive those ones you need that you become one with the track yep I'm a lot of tracking me it's good look at this steak shyly big rocks everywhere I'm in the Stratus need that back support they are yeah there's no traction there [Music] just stays on and manages to get going again yes come on you've got this [Music] yes [Music] whoa how good's having a banking you needed that squeaking which is having fun Alec and rock [Music] with Prato he'll done we head on to our next track old mate Sean o is leading us towards a classic of landcruiser Park a diff banging slide a scraping Rockfest known as Cruiser Canyon now that I think about it he might be hoping for an unfair advantage on this one boys this cruising Canyon and one of those infamous tracks I think in the park yeah might I've heard about it multiple times I've been keen to do it just never had the chance my felt for better or worse let's get into it I've got the first bit right might have gotta cruise up and let's hope that's all you need because it's getting pretty rocky up in front ah so it is Christmas time there's my favorite sort of wheeling this stuff Oh boys it it Walter we just put your line there's some big rocks for that they're mine through it but it's uh it's pretty Rocky well the time we get through it Rain Man tell you max Canyon cruiser Canyon is full of obstacles just like these and it's not long - we're in the thick of it hold on to your hats folks [Music] settle down code oh it's only day one mate jock and Sam are having a heck of a lot of fun on these rocks but I tell you you still got to concentrate up ahead the difficulty is starting to ramp up super Rocky this one's gonna be a bumpy track yet I reckon we're gonna really pick the right line cuz this is where you get hung up on your diff and all sorts of stuff Karl böhm bold move [Music] sigh close I can feel rocks underneath my seat just drive it better you always get this bike you just like a little high why falling light roads back the other side is wrong that's how that's a place for sore eyes all right Sean I give it a try now mate Oh strewth somehow he's miss those pet rocks entirely yeah can someone really better know how our players get involved okay now let me do it but goodness sake and somebody built a roadie yeah let me do it mate it's not as if there's a shortage of rocks or any avoid yep only we're in a canyon with lots of rocks don't go anywhere you'll kill me nothing up up you can't drive that seriously man there's something wrong with you that's why the lawyer thought you wasn't packing a ride together but I can take two [Music] it's definitely the driver I ever saw that rock backing myself it's horrible boys I want to come back into is a better line now we're all a bit confused as to what's holding Shaun up here but either way it doesn't seem to be able to line up his tires and the rocks that we put down so this is a good idea putting all the rocks in the middle of where we drive that's where you slip to license serious advice just leave this part to us yeah sometimes he's got to do it yourself here we go you know full driving is all about being quite creator you got to think outside the box on thoughts sometimes the other fellas go see if you know that it's perfect for what see the vision don't hate yourself all right you smartass let's see how you go this time [Music] yeah yeah there we go yes that's what happens right when you sometimes it fights me you need a job done you got it between our Rock packing and you're spotting we got him through just he's just gotta do it yourself yeah you know that's that's why you driving in the front car yeah yeah yeah you know otherwise so we can show you how it's done go and get right up there okay might let me show you how it's done now to be honest I'm a bit of a passenger here I'm just trying to follow jocks instructions when I call that I'll sleep dolfin you guys in for driving like the key is especially if someone has done a fair bit of this stuff before just to help your mates out guide them through coach them if you end up he's not well I've gotta hope the show show up here but instead I'm gonna have to hook up to the back of him and pinch my way out that's not exactly how I planned this to play out oh well luckily it's a short winch to get me out of strife having seen my missus I'm sure Shane and Kaito were both a bit low slung I've opted to take the B line around this one and live to fight another day that's the beauty of Land Cruiser there's lines for everyone who's coming in now he's got a truck that's built this on Saray and he gets very excited this Tyler driving - just real technical slow stuff I think the keys here he put your tire up on these big rocks and ruin my already dented house out yeah guy now look sharp Mike seriously like that is a capable base you've built there Jocko alright Sam get the dishes on mate when you get the lawyers good thing is you showed everyone what not to do yeah that's as a cave a gala first we've only just started cruiser Canyon and ahead is a wild road of big rocks and technical rock gardens pretty soon the valley is cooler sounds stretching tires scraping metal oh I tell you what the things we do for fun got it up ahead is a committing off cambered Rock step sure right mate glad you're gone first that's a hell of a thing [Applause] whoa there you go we've got to check the front locked on for that I wanted to keep that steering so I could turn the wheel around if I need to be quite precise on the wheel so probably locking can sometimes I'll give you way more traction to find out about it there's a ton in place for it I reckon when you did it to a lot of tight turning there's no place for a problem okay that's why you want to drive it as cool calm and collective mm-hmm even now I don't have the flexible old salt axle rig but the key for me is picking the right line reading my way through now Oh a little fresh good dry it's pretty cool Shane's gonna have to take a similar approach to me but he's handling it like a boss rocky road with some helpful spotting karo is up that step but the big rig just doesn't want to climb we put a big rock here take it that's well done make another one get it in the right spot right okay I'll try and get it in the right spot buddy haha straight air good and mites but it's worked and cod eyes moving whoa that's an angle oh good driving a little bit of wake up he's like well folks that's Cruiser Canyon done and dusted and I have to say loving the way the d-max is handling these rough conditions hey Shane got a copy back there Mike yeah grind right you all right changing the aftermarket shocks mate has been a world of difference for me it really has it's been a bit of a game changer if I'm honest with you and you are you predicted it may when you do our sort of for Drive mate you need something bit better than oh yeah now you can explain these things far better than me for the folks at home just let us know why it is so important to operate your shots mate mate we all know what kills shock so that's just heat so what you need to do mate is because you're such you given passion around out here on the tracks you just need something that's going to disperse heat so the big oil capacity that shocks out the better they disperse that heat and what about range mate I mean it's shock absorbers you know that like sort of you know one size does not fit all what do you got in the range we specifically make them to suit each vehicle you know we've got all across the jewel cabs but we've just recently released the range of big bore series to suit all your patrols and all your heavy cruisers as well Bobby that mate so you are now catering to the bigger the bigger truck yeah II when they got some load on them to their the big ball series so they dispersed really good and the dialogue today might I'll take it I might cover myself in shock absorbers I I need I need heat dispersing let's go and test him out because if Shore knows point on what I think he's pointing at my shocks prepare to get one heckuva testing hey let's go a we record we've got time to squeeze in one more track before we head to camp this one is called Hilux Hill is there a theme here Shawn oh I want this bits really bit bumpy they are maybe the front lockup oh boy take off big guy through it the camera crew having a ball leading the convoy up in front but I reckon they do a better job if they held the map the right way around there you go that's better look at the beautiful look at the track look at the track that was gonna be [Music] coppy up the front they shot oh yeah she'll do mate sure do mean you're doing any driving or is it all you might actually had a bit of a guy that told me got stuck but up up that it's all been me mate that time and got stuck here right right I might that son is well she's about beer o'clock I'd reckon yeah absolutely might even even caught a cast if anything for you reckon go to care yeah look I wouldn't mind trying to get up a bit high if we can um you know that one out the back yeah that's a sensational spotlight alright you know we doing that Chuck the Audion up can't cheer at kholby settle down you alright lead the way mate I'll try and stay at your dust let's go well there you go what do you reckon not a bad way to top off our first day of a festive long weekend landcruiser Park is full of great camping spots all over their sprawling four-wheel drive property but we've got a particularly special spot lined up on a hilltop overlooking the whole park not bad eh now beer o'clock is well underway but camp won't set itself up so I guess we'll just have to jump into it conditions at the moment in southeast Queensland are hot and bone-dry so a camping setup doesn't need to be that complicated the days are pretty toasty but that means balmy evenings perfect for camping the boys are so set up and the familiar sound of fridges sliding out and cold ones cracking can be heard throughout the campsite yep this is about as good as it gets and speaking of which check out the insane setup in the back of quite o76 wait what a setup I was just having a look at you set up camp absolutely amazing mate tell us what you've got set up in the back here so in a wagon most people think there's not much space so you're gonna maximize the usable space in one of these so two drawers here we've integrated these snow-peak tables in there usually you just go for a single drifter table like what you've got and we've also boxed in the side windows here we've got pop-up windows a bit of storage in there as well and that just sort of boxes in this area here so it's a little bit easy to use so you got your chairs and stuff like that it's not going to slide around hit the side window and that also allows you to box in these areas here so we've got bags axes you just want to really maximize a space that's usable in a wagon so we're trying to do you've ever solutely done that every square centimeter of your vehicle is usable which is F is what I even but your tools on the back edge if you want if I have a look look inside the drawers yes yes drawers go yeah they go all the way to the back so it's a half cargo barrier so goes all the way to the back of the rear seats yeah so you got a fair-sized in there are no runners so they go for width we shut that you gave me a set of these yeah they have changed the game just the fact that few can access anything in the back of your vehicle lit about 10 seconds because you know where it is and more importantly it's organized I reckon that is the perfect setup just little things it shows that you guys really do a lot of camping yourselves you understand to ring you know and um your products just just demonstrate that mate I'll let you set up the camp kitchen mate I'll go bring your beer right ready thanks mate Queensland is under full statewide fire bans over Christmas but that doesn't make camping any less enjoyable in this amazing part of the world and instead we pull up the camp chairs and take in an epic sunset Queensland style [Music] stick around legends cuz there's plenty more misadventures still to come as we wake up to a perfect Queensland summer day at least one member of the convoy is already full of beans and ready to get goin settle down Mia for the rest of us rough heads a little more time is required to get going but with brekkie and a coffee underway we're soon lining up a plan for the rest of the weekend mate what a morning stunning what's the plan for this morning mate are we gonna make a move I don't want to leave Cruz apart just yet maybe there's one track we haven't done that you and I bowed down and I've always haven't I know exactly what at least kevro right yeah golly I think if you come to Cruz a park yeah look at it you've got at least have a look at it and I've seen on a long weekend people about deck chairs all up and down it drinking beers you might have a go yep yep I know the boys begin to do it jock will absolutely love it froth on that one maybe go for cheeky sweet the dog myself could use a bath well the dog especially Roddy I might that he's a strong plant I'm gonna get packed up yeah they're tannins like an absolute winner we've got a big day ahead today in this afternoon we're gonna be heading north to another great wheeling spot but of course that means packing up the campsite just packing up camp at the moment having a quick look at my batteries I either send charge left now one of the questions I get asked a heck of a lot and I think there's a lot of confusion surrounding it is how many auxilary batteries do I need in my terrine setup and more importantly what size charge do I need to sort of set me up for touring now the general rule is if you've got under 200 amp hours worth of battery then basically a 20 amp or a 25 amp charger is the one to go for if you've got more than 200 amps so more than two batteries I could do in suti I'd either suggest a b c d c 40 m 50 amp or even the manager 30 to do the job what do you need to batteries now I'll use two batteries in suti because I have a lot of 12-volt draw coming out of this vehicle I've got careful height so got two fridges plus we've got the inverter guy in Milly 24/7 charging a lot of camera batteries and stuff like that and I'm not running to permanent solar solution on the roof now if you're just going away for a weekend you just want on a fridge and maybe some camp lights a single exhilarated battery with a BCDC 20 amp would be your best bet now if you for today because today we've got some insane tracks and tackled soon enough we're on route to landcruiser parks most well-known four-wheel drive challenge a tight and rugged scramble up this deep cutting it's off cam but its technical and it will put your panels on the line this is a camp ride what are the probably most notorious tracks in landcruiser mountain park actually seen a stack of vehicles coming stuck on this one so it's definitely not for the faint-hearted some committee lines I've said a couple of vehicles on their lead so look you got to get it right that's for sure so take it nice slow and steady and see what happens been a while since I've driven this it's really wash the answer here now clear view they get a bit of a hammer and sometimes yeah it's a bit about you choose the rocket launcher over here I think the trick is to keep on the left side it's taking a dramatic line you probably got a tube over that's you Shawn's trial place his left tire up on the back it's looking really touch and go yeah it's all gone well but suddenly that pesticide snake bang radical whines Brian I see Rhoda scrap your rock oh yes oh hey lady whatever get it that one right well straight that was a bit hectic pipe but you're up hold on yo I'm gonna spot me through dine agent fair tonight Camp Road windows dance with boots and instructions Vickie Long's be through here now I'm gonna try a different line of Shauna here and actually put my legs Mars right in the rough the boys are gonna be worried but I reckon little work you going in there are all right donate a scratch I interesting part get into it Wow Wow yep yep it's a beautiful thing through this oh good draw I'm like good Drive whew he'll driven Mike yeah who's next shoes up for this one we saw some big wheel loops off car yesterday I reckon today is gonna be no different to me Oh Mikey mate alright nice boat okay the bigger rigs neighbours straddle the rack to avoid leaning into the bank card ours just slipped off whoo that's gonna be tight Jerry can you can just call him straight up so here he goes now that he's in the rut getting back out is proving to be very difficult mate why I reckon you might just need to stay in it Greg and I just sneak through when you look at that there's millimeters in that but the bar work is doing its job and keeping damage to a minimum yeah yeah that's a great Drive Connor well handle huh bad that's the thing when you're driving erupt like that if the vehicle does slide in sometimes you've got no choice but to keep driving inside that right it feels very uncomfortable but to go backwards sometimes you know a lot of damage to the rear corners of your vehicle so exactly the right thing just slowly crept through the bar low because touching the sides but that's why you got borrower can evade to use it like that and it did it perfectly just crawl up the top there all right okay you're up mate you've seen any other boys a done it yeah I think I'm going to try and straddle that bank I don't ride chattering the first key here a little bit crawly jocks reduction gears give him a huge amount of control with a slow technical driving allowing just to crawl through steep challenges without having to worry about storing but that is still a pretty gnarly line you can see the front yard up the bank put the back it just doesn't want to follow if you slip in now your stop damn how good is that flex nice driving a nice long dark ice driving mate Matt Kemp rode done happy days when you can sit up job built that himself he built that vowel drive himself yeah it's incredible truly incredible a Toyota really should hire him if you get him on board last big rig up the climb here's Sam in the space Fox 80 we've seen some interesting lines so far but Sam is about to step it up a notch iced tea boy do a bigger 180 series while I laid the line that's it yeah the wall a little bit and then straighten to run it Sam's halfway between the bank and the roster but in the same spot for Daschle things go a little bit what was that that starter Sam's up and add a trouble camp right a water crack well folks would you be game to try this track out or maybe you already have let us know in the comments after that nervous drive I think we're all due for a freshen up I don't know about you mate but super keen for a swim with you reckon now it's pretty dry the moment Mike but I think if we keep on this through and I'll never go through these rocks we're gonna pop it out at a beautiful little waterhole whoa some more damage it is the Guru's Canyon here we go swim time okay King Kevin this magic little swimming spot is right in the heart of the park just a stone's throw from cruizer Canyon even though the area hasn't seen rain in months this waterhole survives and it makes a cool refreshing break after the dusty heat of the tracks Mia is having a ball and showing off some pretty good gymnastic moves that's so graceful turns out though Cotto's got some pretty good moves yourself what a spot a frost though it's time to push on to our next destination it's gonna be a crack well surely when cruising Mountain Parkway she has not disappointed love this place to think that you know they've over their property up with all these poor drive tracks and great camping has been phenomenal made many more places like this well folks what do you reckon Lanco is a man park there's a whole variety terrains out here I mean you've got the access tracks like we're on right now then to my left right here look telecom Hill an absolute doozy of a track and what I'm getting at is tire size what toy sighs would you pick if you're heading out here for a weekend I mean are you more inclined to go t-wolves yeah you're sort of you're 35 33 is a good round for you or maybe you like myself with the d-max dirty ones work really well for me out here I'm not scrubbing guards I'm getting good we're live on them they're really quick to let down put back up again that's something we don't talk about too often um so I'm running the jewelers and might try and pattern out here well you've seen any well gone tackle all the tracks the big trucks are tackled but let me know in the comments below you're coming at landcruiser Park for a weekend what toys are you gonna choose no matter what the rig is you're running though I say don't wait get out and enjoy the places like this and speaking of our next destination is a classic that's right it's the glasshouse mountains today is getting on but we're keen to do a bit of exploring before we hit camp nightmoon though this neck of the woods the glasshouse mountains what a magical place mate this place is super hardcore it's got some gnarly gnarly tracks but there's something about this place it just gels with me I really dig it out here what are you gonna reckon with the time squeeze in one track or can we go TAC alert one of our favorites and I'll show the boys there are so many brake tracks to tackle in this neck of the woods but this one is well worth the look it's a state canyon that cuts down into a mini jungle and climbs back out by this muddy little number right here up ahead the camera crew took a wrong turn got themselves into a bit of strife Shaun and cut I head off to help him out [Music] well this is a saying that can happen all too often out in the book to the camera car of course it's going through a bog hole picked up a log that it's actually tagged enticed right off the rim also notice a bit of a dent in the room as well good thing that steel rims of course you can grab a big hammer out just knock that back into shape so we've got to jack it up and have a good look and see what we're looking at hey Camille she's busy you trying to get sticks trying to help alright let's tuck it up now the big gu is a heavy girl Sean soon found an excuse to leave the high leaf jackin Tokaido bad luck mate try it on the G who's got a big tear in the side wall so there's no chance of plugging that all good though the boys have two spares tell you what having a bunch of battery powered tools in the back of the truck has made the game so different I mean you're so quick now with mechanics but one little tip though when you are putting your wheel nuts on with any power tool get them all nice and tight of course put the vehicle back down on the ground and then he's a breaker bar just to finally tighten those nuts to make sure that they are really quite tight and these things are good no doubt about it just to ease and quickness and as I'm getting nuts and stuff I'm making a job that maybe takes you know half an hour into about ten minutes but definitely tighten those by hand when it's down on the ground with a breaker bar with the crew back on the road we drop down into the canyon [Music] have a go of this I that's world that's a sloppy mess it's deeper than you think - gonna be crack up here yeah Jones open up that exit and left a trail of mud on the rocks for the next gas this is gonna get [ __ ] buddy get into that one so it was slippery wow that was actually a lot easier than I thought I was but I think in his favor this was completely dry I reckon the third fourth vehicle with totally different story us there's gonna be a sloppy mess by the time jock gets through you symfon get through this singer oh you guys show he's this better drop in he wants to set himself up so he can get a good approach to that rock see if he's gonna have a go on the middle one see how he goes moving up and race right heck mate that is probably the most control drive I've ever seen out of the candy cooler well done that was a good lawyer deceitful it slipped off beneath the attraction your Lexy turn the sound up folks the big 76 is about to sink so up here we have one big bog hole one steep exit one big car in a right foot exit he's getting very slippery have another crack light sounds angry with every run that exit is just getting harder and harder to never go this one that's unfortunate time to try a different approach you have to come right up here yep keep going keep going keep going keep going if your speaker's allodynia okay that's your line you got to bounce it off over that you'll have to give this a bit of a spirited guy that's all right but I think this one he's just not gonna happen it was Lanie to get the optimum winch angle we need to place the winch right up on the hill that's why you keep a jock with that lime pulling caught up up and out of the bog he's out in no time there we go yeah mate that second gear low or third gear low down there that was for that one yeah really literally we were literally that close to making all right there yeah rolled up and over then fell back into the holes they're just all filled up with mud yes what do you think about all this much lovin lovin lovin a class I'm coming back yeah okay glasses a lot gonna psyche let's get it past its next video yeah might loves it how you feeling good come on a little bit we came out yep this is not the best challenge to be the last car in the convoy there's mud everywhere and it's gonna take a very committed drive to make it out oh yeah a real guy Ostrow things are really knocked out a plan to Sammy you're hung up on you caught up I give you this award I'm gonna replace that I'm making the right meal [Laughter] Wow Sam's goin nowhere time to try it the other line wait gee boy Sam's literally giving it everything here but it's just too slippery so after the winter well how about that pretty good why to stop getting here a hundred percent it's uh yeah I think it's your turn to cook I'm gonna cook my I've got a plan don't worry about that I was something special for give the Tommy interfaced yeah come on let's go let's get a camp being the festive season Shaun's hinting at putting on something specky for dinner tonight and we've got the perfect campsite lined up a spot just up the road called running Creek Park Lance backing directly onto the bellethorpe State Forest this camp is an absolute favorite of ours and would you believe it we've got the entire place to ourselves now the glasshouse mountains doesn't have any camping within the State Forest itself but if you follow your nose you can find great little places like this on the borders of the forest from here it's just a short drive to the tracks or the pub whatever takes your fancy well tell you what I love this time of day you know the sun's starting to go down we start to set up camp and I really like my campsite these days I've been running with this camp set up for a little while now and I reckon not only is it a really practical camp set up but also it takes no time at all so the old 270-degree Kings oi well it's been a game changer for me so I open up and show you how quickly it sets up as you bring it around get the last leg up even got a little attachment here which will clip to the side of the vehicle now this keeps the whole thing tension it really is this easy clip that in and now it's as simple as putting all the legs out and you got yourself a free-standing 270 degree awning so after you finish adjusting the legs and last step is to pack it down now it is a free-standing Hornung but with a couple of pegs in you're gonna be guaranteed if there is any wind this thing is gonna stay nice and rigid and keep you out of the rain so tuck a couple of these in you're good to go it really is as easy as that you've got a fully functioning awning the best part about it is it takes it under a minute to set up now folks it's the festive season and that means putting in a little bit of extra effort after a few iron jacks start popping up around the campsite and the good ideas start flowing we decide that at this camp we should go one step further with our set up soon it's all hands on deck and the four B's are undergoing a bit of a makeover [Music] all that's left is for jock to jump under some chains to turn it up mate ha ha tell you what is this for a Christmas miracle Saudis never looked better and the d-max scrubs up pretty well too Shane's gone for an Aussie theme on this more kebabs in the old boy huh boys all right [Music] well you've probably already noticed but last night was something of a big one around camp and this morning well the boys aren't exactly rushing to get going before we head out for our last day on the tracks we do a quick check over the vehicles and just as you'd expect both the ATS soon have their bonnets up Toyota live a just this trip I'm featuring a new tub accessory and here it is a nifty new cage for the Dometic French I think oh this here will ya this right here is the new clear Vue fridge cage it's an absolutely cracking idea see it encases your fridge in there and it stops anything falling behind the fridge when you pull the fridge yet might sound so simple but it's something that's really good and point me in the past because for example if I've got my water up here and I open the fridge on a bit of a lean so we're having lunch on a track falls behind a crawl in there get it out of the way before it and push the fridge back but this fridge cage here just means that nothing can get in behind your fridge I reckon every formal driver and these one of these in their vehicle just to stop that annoying habit stuff falling on your fridge all these little touches really make life on the road heck of a lot easier and give them more out bush for over half the year our setups are definitely tried and tested today we've got an absolute cracker of a track in mind to end our long weekend and soon have camp packed up ready to eat the Frog and Toad oh yeah Graham you got a copy mate I reckon we go take on the secret track in the Glass House show these boys with all the hypes about absolute cracker all right well I'm gonna try and remember how to get there and take the boys up now I've already mentioned just how many great tracks there are to discover in the Glass House but the one we have in mind today is definitely not as well known but like all good adventures well I reckon it's best if we leave it to you to try and discover it for yourselves okay this is officially the start like the secret track at the Glass House yeah might put the wind up me last time I won't lie I'm kind of keen to get back in another crack at it yeah my and I'm from memory I think this track starts right here actually I can see that I can see the first rock step and it's it doesn't go any smaller way this is put a nut like I'm gonna Park it up at the finest first rock step and a dwarf because I know that rock steps not bigger or it's like a full cliff face we better get out never look rocky I'm nervous scared excited vulnerable everything now either that's a weird Christmas decoration or this is one hell of a for be breaking rocks Tim look at that's that's a that's a gram and a half this is a high-grade rock face I'm gonna sit down cause it scares me you're sitting properly without falling are you gonna go it's nearly roughly one of our double the harder you yeah why don't have maize you can even to go um that's not you're not convincing me all right let's think about this well head says no my heart says yes I'm just worried about the tile shop's is getting over that lip the tail shaft might what I grab that sharp steel here she'll be fine well I just put the front tires up see how that feels have a little the optimistic fool driver me says let's I'm getting heart palpitations all right no further ado you bring in the stunt team does anyone want to go first is the last one I get around you might know a wood door look ordinarily I'll take the head off you can go first on this one but can't get around June you know it's getting late in the day so I suggest we just copy to this one let's go right out this is the kind of challenge where I used to do your preparation first so Sean's got the dominator extreme out and ready let's get that winch in free spool it's ready to go but someone has to basically grab that take it off and they can secure me quite quickly they gotta remember to obviously put that back in just gonna prepare a bit of recovery gear here I've got a winch extension strap of course got a tree trunk protector and I'm gonna get a blanket out now too if you don't to be mucking around trying to find the recovery gear if he does get into an orchid angle so I get everything ready now send him up Jeremy go yeah go to my cloud and claim a that's all I can ask for the big thing I'm worried about is obviously the fact I'm gonna vertical cliff face but the other bit is are my tail shaft it's already got a few scratches on it and actually bus etosha after your last time so we're gonna take it pretty easy men as Sean noses up to the challenge this rock step just seems to get bigger that is one committing obstacle in situations like this it really pays to have a spotter and good comms right now the challenge is finding an angle that lets Shawn's tires actually get onto the rock place and that means putting the car up the left back super sketchy [Music] yeah boy it feels very well together laughs it feels very like the front absolutely no way and what in the world it could go backwards the only way you could go is this way what Annie Sean's gingerly testing out here if he can move at all but nah no way he's hard up on that Bank your back wheels under cutback yeah this wind fee you know I can take my foot off the brake everything on that steep that my rear bar and rear tire is on the deck and I can't I can't actually reverse well that was a ballsy Drive mate especially as the first car up to climb some of you been asking what the orange blanket is for well it's a winch dampener in the unlikely event of the winch rope snapping the blanket will drop the rope straight to the ground instead of it flying backwards or forwards and potentially damaging a car or worse injuring one of us this angle is putting a huge amount of pressure on the winch that's one of the more hardcore winches we've ever done pretty insane still the winch is working a train that's well done mate that's a good attempt [Music] Mike oh all right these aren't teens by organic sweat what's the melody on there oh that's a lot of sweat tourists what is it yeah I'll get a bit sweaty on the groin region tonight well the good news is we haven't even started this track never not hop Swettenham yeah yes panting what do you reckon we try and take a relatively stock standard Emax up a vertical wall you can only do as good as I didn't like winch it gets done let's give it a go all right that guy's mad he's absolutely mad I'll tell you what the average person I mean the every same person when I say a vehicle nearly resting on its rear tire annoying degrees up in the air they're probably taking ulterior line but I'm not grown he said must have he's here but he woke up this morning he's not quite right either I'm gonna give this a go in the d-max 30 ones two inch left rear Locker and I don't know he's thinking buddy's gonna give it a go I worried that he's approaching was not quite enough but if you can get those front tires up he's gonna do it good way so this is gonna be exciting oh yeah I reckon it's in cool just getting to the challenges for it is proving challenging oh you got it you got it under your handbrake when you go up a hill yeah it's a good classic first tip isn't it Mike okay but you got a bit cold at all got nervous didn't you hear oh that's that's good that's good least you've sorted that out there like at the line that's all oh man I'm gonna tell you that step is looking daunting from the driver's seat I don't want to do it anymore oh no God laughs and and just pull up a little bit I'll tell you when it's right now Harvick now to get my tires on the climb first I've got to get the bull bar up and that means this very risky left line Diderot Indian you sure you're not gonna go over yeah just go back to the 20 bitter rot Indian it's on you bit of right hand down right still like very rotten heavy on your that's so sick Easter was a drive mate that was just to get to that law and you screw up as well dude you had real ties in the air it was pivoting and it was a super coin if you've gone inside but it really felt like I put it on that way got any view but you had perfect line that's sick that's sick all right well do you boys I'm not gonna lie it's a bit of a relief to look up the winch and start to creep my way over look at that rock step strewth the absolute cracker backs up that well ready give it a go oh yeah absolutely I'm gonna get sweet rope in keep going well that's definitely not a rock step in ordinarily taken were cued up but I'm stoked I've got to give it a go and that's the main thing well cover the boys have opted to Gary and there is a bypass tract which I don't blame at the end of the day their vehicles not set up that sort of stuff and this is a one insane Hill there's plenty more challenge as well these boys who have up well they're gonna give it a go and I reckon they should give it a red-hot go because I actually came with the mindset of trying to win turn I got the front tires over I reckon if you gave it a little bit of momentum you got half a chance so I'm gonna dump on this just goes quite locate the Mike open for a bit it's because I get to get I'm just wanna watch and see what happens so don't don't be alarmed just just do your own thing now Jocko literally lives and breathes stuff like this and I guarantee whatever happens next it's gonna be spectacular when you're Lord up oh we get a thumbs up and you're getting beaten go for got a similar setup to Shawn okay and that means if you can't get it on his first attempt he's probably gonna get beached on his rear bar that means give it a help that's a good effort action what water's coming out of your windscreen wiper things with the so state just a remarkable effort to get to this stage the boys jump onto the winch and soon Sam is sailing up to level ground that was one challenge and a half definitely one for the hardcore enthusiasts right cracking drive oh it's readjusted of evenings in the body and probably the atcu studio you wanna get that's a steepest hill you don't very on my that's downright worse than gunshot I reckon it's a really committing track this one at a lot of faith in huge there's some strange Jason oh my fellow ID series drivers it's a quick question might you know you guys have got a lot of enthusiast customers I mean know people who live and breathe this sort of stuff how do you guys cater for them mate it's pretty easy we're we're all enthusiastic spares box we love what we do we love cars full driving anything I want a motive and the best way to know what to sell them and you know what to offer to other enthusiasts is being enthusiast so that's how we can really do it obviously you sell all the main parts for maintenance and repairs and stuff as I saw breaks I see they are have all things you know that for drives typically break off on these tracks but you do more than that we do accessories and everything we've got over 150 thousand different fire parts from that's right see bays hubs spare hoses belts studs you know all gaskets yeah but also all you good quality stuff I winch comms lights all that kind of stuff you can get to espares box too right the factory they draw and they sort of tracks its real credibility for the company and and the fact that you guys speak for Drive I mean as a full dry enthusiast myself I want to know that the company I'm dealing with you know it lives and breathe is lifestyle as well because at the end of the day that means you understand what they need oh I explained to put it to the test we have just started like a nice distraction well this will be the most fun you've ever had off right I'll be there let's do it with that challenge under the belt it's time for us to send it up the rest of the coin from the boys we're all put in some great drives yep hand line here and it is touch-and-go but yes he's done yeah holy heck that was epic in truth blasts hair style this track packs challenge after challenge just a few short minutes but I can tell you now it's a whole lot of fun how are you Viet you won't come on I'll go you go Pat you've got this like Superman changing into his leotard cost you yes the extra years do the trick all right boys come on up they're guys you got it you got it sweet lord what a day on the tracks this place just delivers every time now I reckon many of you folks probably been enjoying a beer while watching this I reckon we're about due for one - oh no that you make drama smaller from evil a god small and it's playing an absolutely rocky long weekend to see how these places they might go to the tracks out here man this place just blows me away you could drive them every day very shortage of really fun tracks and that's exactly what they have fun train you to copy yeah mate I mean what do you reckon enjoyed yourself Matt had an absolute blast you know I thought I went really well at cruising an Glass House and nothing just I've lost for words yeah it is that good isn't it mate it's just magical part of the world and I don't like you get the award for the biggest wheel if ever full-stop you've done some great wheel lives and some fantastic drives by curiosity stifle yourself biggest wheel if ever fired I'll take that one now first taste of South East Queensland poor driving and I'll definitely be back it was awesome and that last track that was my favorite of all the time I'll tell you that now beauty and Sam Mike you drive that 80 like yes darlin you drive it also Mike there was good tunnel control big wheel lifts and just really committing drives already gotta be started right but I'm so stoked and beyond words but great bikes awesome rigs insane tracks on the side myself well there you go great what do you reckon mate we've taken this boys in the woodford pub she had a mascoutah I've been saying to the boys that the woodford pub has got one of the best places to ever be bought of beer by Sean oh so well you get the credit card out mate and let's go upstairs and have a beer yeah Dobby surprise you've bounced but that's a done deal if it bounces I'll catch it we'll try again just up the road it's the Woodford Hotel and the four B's are sown parked at the front and we're of a lot now these are all rechargeable by us-based I love that that is one of the things I love about this yep so I've always got to charged yep a torch and I think that's that's important you know what I do i I hang this over my gearstick and then I just run the charge or straight down and because it's magnetic doesn't fall out when I'm driving yeah well actually if you look at my fridge mate I've got a little USB on the Dometic and I just chuck that straight in it's on charge it's all light all day so I must have exactly right must have speaking of must-haves we all own fall drives what is the one thing you absolutely cannot do with that if I took it away from you right now could not drive home tires mate well white eyes your nozzle by cracking sanitized I've been running near the old bridge stones all around Australia and there's an absolute fact when did I last get a puncture I haven't they've never let me down it's a good set of tires not only will that allow you to drive it'll mean you're never going to have to stop fixed punches that sort of thing I like to say never but I tell you what my experience hasn't happened to probably come and say for your driving a fair bit too much look the other thing I reckon is a must have oricon a good set of batteries because I've seen it too many times yet the track people come out here with old batteries they can't start their vehicle in the morning like all their accessories put so much load on the batteries and you need a battery that's full drive proven and I've got century batteries in my vehicle I've got the 4x4 Overlander batteries and they have not skipped a beat might I use the winch pretty rarely and so we've let's face it but flights I like to fridges in there I've got a whole stack a 12-volt gear I use converters I've got all the batteries for the camera gear getting charged so a lot of drain on those batteries but I'm basically enough every time thank you i doesn't make it sound any better still sounds like an old tractor but does start every morning and also lastly folks snacks clothing now here's a fact we don't put any of this stuff to the website until Bugalugs and I've been out here and rolled around in the dirt got some mud on it and some grease and then we send it out to you guys that's right and now even more important more excitedly we can put all this into a back we've got bags
