milligrams of sea snake venom is enough to kill 1,000 adults they're the most venomous snake in the world [Applause] Tommy's a young guy I some of the newer members to the team up you get to impress you could say it's only he gets all the facts then I ask you to pay taxes cars are cheap on the second date I said deadly that's where I realized I about I messed up people have died from seasick box it's a fact yeah China just playing with deadly creatures I'm not scared of snakes at least I didn't think I was paddling out Tommy realizes he won't be catching the seesnake with his bare hands he lifeguard Jules has a solution Roy's going out to catch this name where he's created music got Tommy in the IRB and he might scoop it up with the pressure of mountain Tommy turns to his previous experience as a trading Benny carpenter I knew there's a tool for every job and when I was in the boat I've seen the paddle and I was like that's the tool for this job he reached in and grabbed it with your and flicked it into the bucket job done like a true snake Wrangler capturing the sea snake and nobody harmed was the best-case scenario turns out I'm scared of snakes well you just need some rest eventually we had a snake catcher come along and pick him up it's not awful we find those things fairly venomous as well the snake actually recovered which was really good and he was released later that day in a secluded beach at the Harbor just around the corner from Bondi at Bronte we've been called for a dangerous fret a big shark in the pool we've got a predator monsters I gotta get it out I'm gonna go down and I'm gonna remove the shot I'm a shark on top so long this is a rescue mission everyone what we're here for [Music] lifeguards danger save lives all right that's not just humans we help the animals too you know there is a notable how easy um you know you can talk to the kids on the same level it's pretty out there [Music] when I dive and dive and seen the shot you could a dive straight into me hairstyle [Music] I could tell that everyone started to actually enjoy what I was up to you know I went from that into tying it to the shock Kanta from the shock hunter rescued a shark so it's bright phone call and yeah there's a rat up in the bar so might from some gloves and do a bit of ass to go on up there a rat in the skater bowl no I study in the manual it's a pretty big scene up here there's people everywhere so we're gonna come out if it's not too vicious we'll try and catch up front a pair of gloves daddy where I can't leave the cops it hit dealing with it yeah a bit different saving a rat than a given most probably gonna be harder when I get to the skate bowl the coppers are doing nothing so I was kind of like that's a rat like I'll do it like who cares drop in Jeff why don't I drop into the bowl with no shoes on that's just plain old Jesse just doing things before he thinks I was gonna touch it let's go home here I just held the bucket behind just slid right in job done how easy was that as soon as I looked at it was just our contact and then she stuck fine let's go and I was kind of like whoa I didn't think rats were vicious [Laughter] [Applause] definitely I knew it wasn't my jacket as if I'd use my jacket to put on our app in the bucket and a jot and you'd hit it again I was like not even want jacket I just put it on the side walking no name manga Chris Chapman the lifeguards operations menu is a very important book but I definitely don't think there's anything about catching rats out of a bowl of skate park rescue I need a wash your jacket chat no over here no no hey Rose three stingrays have invaded the period of high tide it's the lifeguards job to evict them [Music] Bob's in the attires can inflict serious injury there's that offensive only enough I saw in when I was down the coast some Aboriginal girls they just stick their fingers straight in their mouth so it's trying to do I didn't have very big mouths longer safe faith into beggars predation bacon grills buddy this snake right there let's take make I am that scared of snakes I'm so glad I'm up dammit I have another come ashore I never seen a snake I'm on a beach before I heard there have been snakes but never seen one in the water I thought it was a bit of see you at first but it turns out it was a snake I thought it was dead and then its head [ __ ] up it's got a little bit freaky bit yes brother the tropical snake they drifted from in Australia in a warm current shedding its skin and clearly tired it is still a dangerous swimmers I was under the impression that sea snakes were extremely venomous but due to their small things they were unlikely to pierce the skin brave old fool Barney Mike Sophie's head baby's so close to it [Music] [Music] it's the first rescue of its kind to the poison so tired that battled the sir for like ten minutes it's getting smashed it's obviously been steered go something so NCA looked after all right gang running and put it on that side I don't wanna get anywhere near and put the damn it I'll flick it in to just put on my hands yeah [Applause] [Applause] [Music] I'm guessing it will be released back into the water that snake was pretty sick you know and it needed help so I wasn't too worried about it biting me obviously I was a bit scared hesitant because they are really deadly snake and I knew that before I went out there so between stingrays in the kids pool and snakes in the beach you know maybe I'll maybe I'll get a name change soon from bacon to grilled bacon there grilled bacon for Jackson shark in the pool here maybe a fisherman's thrown it in here is the joke or it's washed in with a high tide it's definitely causing a bit of emotion with the public got to get it out sharks and kiddies pools aren't a good mix even though it's small a Port Jackson shark can bite if provoked looking for Jane now Perry's remains characteristically brave in the face of danger just gonna have eyes in your back your head at this stage or better still a lifeguard who's braver than you when it comes to animals lifeguards are less familiar with rescue techniques the shark has a hook and trice caught in its mouth not stuck can you give him a kissing and chucking back in give it a little by our kiss the book will eventually rust out what the shark really needs is to get back in the water I sense potential danger and I feel it on my skin but at no stage was like threatened by the creature we've been
