Solo Overnight Building a Plastic Fort and Raised Bed In The Woods and Baked Bacon Mac and Cheese

[Applause] all right springtime is coming we're looking at high of 50 today not a cloud in the sky and that's outstanding af we're out here in the woods we're going to get her done today's going to be different i got something special in store for you let's get out here in the woods find our secret spot and get her done [Applause] okay i told you guys today was going to be different and it's different because there's a certain shelter i want to go ahead and make out here there's going to be controversial af people will be triggered and lose their minds but we're going to do it okay so a long time ago in a galaxy far far away one of the ogs of bushcraft one of the founders of modern bushcraft morris kohanski came up with this super shelter where it's a basic lean to with plastic draped over it you have a long fire out front and it actually the heat passes through that shelter and moves around bumping up and creating a greenhouse effect it could be 70 to 80 degrees fahrenheit inside there while it's zero outside it was a outstanding idea and it's been copied over and over and over and over again so with that idea that concept i thought why not come out here and create a raised bed and a shelter system four sides four walls at a roof and do that using plastic creating a plastic fort in the woods it could work all right so we have tree a and tree b all right so here's what i'm thinking well before we get started big disclaimer in no way shape or form am i telling you grab a roll of plastic and go to the woods to survive now people are going to say plastic in the woods that's just stupid i'm out of here lols well take your lols and you're out of here this is a legit concept by morris kohanski and to my knowledge it has not been done with four walls and a roof and a bed so i want to take it to the next level and i want to challenge myself and just see if it can be done i think it'd be fun too so here's what i'm thinking we've done tripod raised bed with our 55 gallon drum liners on those poles for our raised bed with tripods i'm thinking utilize tria and tree b create bipods same thing lash it to the tree horizontal here and here for our bed four walls post in the ground lean two roof off the ground door maybe a window long fire out front as always all the gear in my videos can be found in two places one my amazon influencer page and two my self bipod right here at the top we did a standard diagonal lash three wraps and three fraps the bottom here and here we went ahead and did a standard arbor knot and the reason why i chose that is because the ground is not level we have tree a and tree b and one might be higher than the other so i want to be able to eyeball it where my bed is going to be at and if i have to cut one off i could simply just cut that and raise it and then lash it later kind of like you know measure twice cut once so so so okay so this is exactly what i was talking about this side right here next to me is actually about an inch lower so i'm going to go ahead and cut off that arbor knot and simply raise it up and then lash it down and secure my poles i think we're good to go all right so we have a framed out tarp on here and landing on top of my bed does two things for me first off it gives me the edge of my tarp so i know when i roll this bad boy up i can see this piece of wood right here i'm gonna go and take my knife and i'm gonna go ahead and notch both pieces of wood where my bed is gonna go so i know not to wrap my bed past that point also putting the tarp like this shows me exactly where my four posts are going to go they're going to hold the tarp up and also create my walls [Applause] ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha [Applause] so [Applause] [Applause] that's actually comfortable it's probably just as rigid as those six mil trash bags that i use for my raised beds my tripod raised beds this is nice we got the wind blocked we got a window got a door i'm liking this so my concern was that fire normally were one full step away i went ahead and doubled that just to be safe wearing a plastic fort in the woods next to a fire what could go wrong in your case stay two nights three nights four nights stay a month i can't do that i'm a single parent i have my kid to worry about who just turned 15 and i have to be there for him i have a ton of obligations teaching season is here at the pathfinder school so we'll be doing two classes a month for anywhere from three to five days sometimes even more so i'm gonna be running constant and i can't spend 30 days in the bush in a plastic fort in the woods but i'm going to show you how to make one should you choose to be out there for a longer time hope that makes sense and lastly as always to my that but do it my way and i did another word of caution my fire usually is one full step meaning 40 inches those are military 40 inches back to chest lean back and strut so for this one i doubled that Man I'm not full on hippie but I try to be a responsible consumer and fuck, this is sooooo wasteful on so many levels. How the fuck can you just uselessly throw away that much plastic? And to recklessly cut down trees for a YouTube video? Man fuck that guy.

This setup is not going to be invisible to the zombies, and it won't keep them out. Plus with a 40 pound roll of shrinkwrap he's not going to be able to outrun them for very long.
