ways to die in the West please welcome the stars Seth MacFarlane and Charlie Stan Oh oh this is the most welcome I've ever felt anywhere you sure know how to treat a guy oh yeah yes I know Chinese welcome back thank you yeah lovely damn York hey I'm not a second have you ever gonna British culture before I have not I mean not not a late-night show no okay I did them the breakfast show and I got in trouble for saying piss oh hey stop the showing what the hell did I do and it's apparently you can say anything on this show yeah that's what I guess don't encourage him wait another one here on movie would you the big but it's big Lucio that goes it's gone well this is so weird it is like Brian is wearing a man's suit at the end of the couch this is a huge crowd and like you go to like The Tonight Show in the States and there's like five people that's only when you're so this movie a million ways to die in the West it opens tonight it is really fun it's a big broad raucous comedy it's jokes if you like set the farland jokes it's full of settle gross there's a plot as well Chinese why don't you do the plot oh great yeah I don't deal for just Oh God so it's about this girl I don't know what does she do I think look it's a Western that it looks like a real Western but it's kind of shot through a lens of like people speaking in modern tongue right it's like Woody Allen in the and the wild wild west I guess basically solution so I the key the forming now that was really funny and I'm naked come back very good come back but actually they're all but I'm not so that's another I didn't do it justice though can you please can you pitch them a real good you know it's it's a boy it's it's it's about a um a nerdy sheep farmer in the Old West who meets this mysterious woman who helps him win back his girlfriend who dumped him and you know that's that's I don't to give away too much but that's the that's the gist all right what does we've got a clip this is the two of you trying to make sets X cuz it starts with you losing your girlfriend that's not too much pot to give away is it you gave us the clip this is they said you were really timid we were all gonna have to help pull you out of your shell but that's not explained it I did yeah two of you trying to make sets ex jealous go that's them that's them but uh quick let's pretend you just said something funny oh my god you barked you are so hilarious where do you come up though you put then I says only funny stop stop just introduce me okay introduce oh hi hey uh boy and Louise right hmm that's right uh this place they did train them a little four of them they tried they pulled eight they found the four smartest ones they try to do a little but it's like Brando in his later years you just get what you get because I'm haven't released you were very comfortable around the Sheep what is that suppose well you got to raise buy goats know that I thought you might make the leap and go yes I do to goats yeah I was I was raised on a farm so we had cattle and yeah I'm not timid around yeah he's kind of a more human beings tending to her she wasn't sucking at the teat do well you know some old vine is another school snap but in a true that you do an incredible goat noise is Oh what well and we have heard of all but I it's a fall right there that's lost all my hearing and the other thing is out watching Isaac because you're directing yourself Seth in the movie and it's your is this your first screen kiss uh in the in the talking pictures yeah yeah so did you kiss like you thought you kissed it early cuz that is that is true yeah I you know I was I was okay with it that was I was a little afraid that I would look a little goldfish II when I was okay alright he's fantastic weakly all right really I was look I felt like a hundred dollars a kid cuz it is that weird thing of you know just doing something for the first time and it's crazy like said Tom you've what's 41 movies now not experience a so but there was a day when it was your first day on set and you didn't know what you were doing was that that was taps right was your first yeah yeah I remember being on taps and Harold Becker yelling out you know hey Cruz there I was like everything I was raising the South surfing was yes I say yes sir he said you know you see that you see the camera I said well no sir you goes well if you don't see the camera you're not gonna be in the picture right thank you sir was it outsiders where you met you decided to give your character a trait yeah part of the thing was we're all eating chocolate cake and I thought you know what in this scene I'm gonna eat chocolate cake I'm we need a lot of chocolate cake and that's you know we ended up 80 takes later I'm having to eat chocolate cake known actor Nick because it's really close to bad idea yes I've learned that just recently I was hard you got to go through it you got to live through it it's like something weirds happening in my body I've got about to go unconscious vomiting do you gain 20 pounds from one guy cuz when you were directing yourself said how hard was it as an actor not to do voices cuz that is kind of your life um yeah I mean it was it was it was it was less of a leap than I was then I feared it would be you know they're doing Family Guy I had gotten into the into the habit of being able to record a line and then go into the booth and listen to it and switch off my brain and kind of feel like I was listen I'm listening to somebody else yeah and that did kick in pretty early on into the process where I was able to run into video village and look at the you know look at the footage and see if I was doing doing it ray my voices do you do sir I want me to take over here you're just getting it's like how many can you do oh you know just enough to avoid being myself visually it son Family Guy Family Guy if I do the characters you do you do Peter Brian Stewie quagmire and then a smattering of others okay and are they all based on people or you just there they come from various places Peter I knew a thousand Peter Griffin's growing up in New England I mean guys who would not think before they spoke like ever quagmire if it is he's not happy no he's a bad egg he had quagmire when I was a kid my father used to buy me old radio dramas from the 40s and 50s so I would listen to these things and the commercials were intact you hear these old commercials you know autolite brand sparkplugs the only sparkplug for you and like everyone had this high-pitched voice which I guess the mics were more sensitive to the mid-range voice at that time and they all sounded like quagmire and so that kind of stuck with me and when I was coming up with a voice for him that he began as a as an impression of 1950s admin and when you're doing because you know those characters are in scenes together yeah do you do one line after the other do you all do all one and then go back to the other one when I do a tape yeah I have to jump back and forth hey how much going on hello sad man arse doing her way it's good is good but then sometimes you do them separately yet when I when I record the show's I kind of literally do it one line at a time just to just to make sure that I but that's not really because of the voices it's just cuz you have to be naked completely naked for Brian completely the essence of yourself yeah completely emotionally and physically nude Opie to the moon with thing what the cool I feel like it's like dancing like I'm just gonna see you lot I know you're an Irishman you think these people accept you as one of their own but they do um yes if I'm who's like some cool whip but but what why are you saying like that what I say I'm seeing cool whip oh you're saying cool hwhip yes I'm saying site at home time okay yeah okay okay bad sake story okay so a couple years ago my grandad had an eye infection and asked me to put eyedrops in his eye so I grabbed them from the top of the fridge put about six or seven drops in look down realized they went I drops that was super glue section husband to surgically separate his eyelids yeah he sleeps now with one eye open but he should be punished
