wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them cloven tongues as a fire and it set upon each of them and they were all filled with the holy ghost and began to hallelujah i declare and decree wherever you are it's your pentecostal today whatever you've been going through let god dwell in your midst hallelujah i don't know about you but i have a contract with god it says i'll bless the lord at all times let his praises will be in my mouth wherever you are whatever you're going through i challenge you to bless the lord you made it through what the enemy tried to do you made it through what tried to block you you made it through what tried to stop you let everything that ye the lord hallelujah hallelujah god we honor you today god hallelujah hallelujah you're so worthy the glory the honor it belongs to you oh god let your fire fall god let it fall in such a way that bondage is broken god let your fire fall in such a way that the word of god has made manifest let the holy ghost fire fall now holy ghost fire oh now holy ghost fire fall now whenever you're going through wherever you are let the glory of the lord consume you today whatever the sickness whatever disease we summon the glory of the lord we declare miracles signs and wonders and we seal it by the blood and the name that is greater it's greater than cancer it's greater than sickness it's greater than disease it's greater than anything that we've been going through so by the name that is greater at the name of jesus every knee must bow every tongue must confess that jesus is lord in the name of the one who hung blood and died and the one who is able to do all things by faith in the name of jesus amen and thank god wherever you are give him glory right now is giving time at this point now listen you can't shout about the fire you can't shout about the cloud without understanding the significance of the seed because let me tell you without a cloud you'll see it won't grow because the cloud brings the rain and without water you can't reap a harvest so you need to make sure that you have seed in the ground somebody say seed in the ground here's what the bible says as long as the earth shall remain seedtime and harvest time shall never fade away that means that when political powers have changed when nations have fallen and let me tell you global warming may be taken over but it can't do nothing with the seed it can flood a field but it won't be able to touch the sea because the seed of god is indestructible and you should not you should understand this that as long as you give he'll give it back to you but god never gives it the way you gave it when he gives it he gives it back good measure he presses it down he shakes it together and then it's still running over and if that ain't enough if it ain't enough to have overflow he's going to send men and their assignment is to come and give unto your bosom and i decree and declare watch this people you don't know are going to give you things you need [Music] to hear what i said people you do not know are getting ready to give you things you need because god is going to divinely ensure that with the wind comes a win you missed it you missed it with the wind comes a win somebody say it's my winning season it's my win i've been losing financially too long i've been losing mentally too long i've been losing psychologically too long but god is going to send the wind to bring me a win somebody shot i'm a winner hallelujah hallelujah get your gift ready right now [Music] yeah this is the day that they spoke in unknown tongues and i've been telling people that the problem with the church is not that we don't know jesus is that we haven't been baptized by the fire somebody who knows the holy ghost oh just open up your mouth is this is what it looks like [Applause] you don't need no praise partner you didn't have a struggle partner so if you went through by day of pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord in one place and suddenly everybody say suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled house not just a house but the house where they were sitting [Music] and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like has a fire and whatever it was it sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the holy ghost and began speaking with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance let's talk for the next few moments about what i've chosen to call earth wind and fire [Music] you may be seated in the presence of the holy ghost earth wind and fire i am acutely aware josh that there are those antithetical and against what would be known as topical preaching which is to suggest that i pick a topic and i make the word fit within the confines of that topic thereby creating an incident called isogesis which is the direct opposite of the correct form of preaching called exogenesis to put critics at ease that you might not assume that this is another sermon that is topical in nature i do not intend to have an exercise for the next few moments trying to make a correlation between the singing group earth wind and fire and the texts because god had the name before maurice white ever did he named the group based on his sign of his birth but this comes directly from the text we are here on what is commonly known as the day of pentecost what is pentecost because we use it in church and i don't want to take for granted that you know exactly what it means i'll take the risk of insulting your intelligence that we might all be on the same page pentecost or in its origin penta gives the idea of the number 50. and the reason why we celebrate pentecost on the day that we do it it is not an accident in the old testament they did it after the first fruits and the feast of weeks but in the new testament we do it because it is easter plus 49 days which is the 50th day of the seventh sunday after the day that jesus christ was resurrected from the dead and that is that's the gospel acts chapter 2 ladies and gentlemen watching by way of the internet and those who are scattered in this room today the bible says that on the day that we're speaking of listen it says on the day of pentecost it it had it had when it had fully come signifying the idea that if it had fully come on the 50th day after the resurrection if it fully came on the seventh sunday after the resurrection if it had fully come on easter plus 49 then that means that if it arrived today it must have already been on the way if it fully come which means it had been coming and i would like to submit today that the truth is is that modern theology or i should say ideology has locked the holy spirits exclusively into the new testament i promise you that he had been coming way before matthew mark luke and john i promise you that there is no part of the scripture where you cannot find the spirit the bible says in genesis 1 and 2 that when the earth was formed it was formed and it was void and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of god hovered you can't even get two verses in the bible without a mention of the holy ghost the bible says that that just shortly after that when when god uh created man the bible says that even the spirit was there let me prove it the bible says that he that the lord god formed him genesis 2 and 7 out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul where is the spirit let me tell you that word breath is translated spirit so before god gave adam oxygen he gave him the holy ghost adam had already been a thing he had already been a thing but notice he didn't become a being until he got the spirit do you know that that the thing that is missing from your tremendous operative isolated skill set it's not the fact that you have a job not the fact that you have a skill set not the fact that you are tremendously talented not the fact that you could be considered beautiful not because you're tall not because you're rich not because you come from an affluent family there are some things that don't come until you get the holy the holy ghost i can tell you right now it's what's wrong with the church at large we don't have an attendance problem because there are churches that have people in every seat we don't have a money problem because there are churches meeting their budgets and even in covet there are churches that have thrived even without people in the seats the thing that we've been missing is the breath the the breath that that we call the holy ghost see you must understand that now what we are operating with at pentecost is the new covenant but you must understand that the holy spirit is not locked into the new testament as i have ascribed to you he has been coming since creation that all men might be saved and let me tell you something that god had an original covenant with adam but because of adam's fall god had to make a new covenant he makes his next covenant with noah and promises noah that there would be gen regeneration of humans and after we find out but even though he makes a covenant with noah noah finds himself a drunker god makes a new covenant with abraham and we know that abraham is not a perfect man because he lied about the fact that his wife was his sister and then god makes new covenant after new covenant and now he is the son of david and the seed of abraham and now we find ourselves in the new testament and god says now i'm going to expand my original covenant that i had with abraham isaac and jacob and that i would bless them as multiple as the sand of the shore and the stars of the sky i am now going to expand that covenant and i'm going to let the jews and the gentiles now come in so now i have one group that's mined by birth but i have another group that's mined by blood and i've adopted a new generation of people into my fold and now there is no more jew nor gentile there is no more greek or hebrew suffice it to say he goes a little further and says there is even no more male or female he says that we're all his children he says that we're all for one in jesus christ and so as we get to this topic called the book of acts and we call it the acts of the apostles but i subscribe that this should not be called pastor one of the acts of the apostles this should be called the acts of the holy ghost because when you look at this book everything you see the disciples doing they did it through the indwelling flow of the holy ghost the bible says on the day of pentecost everybody say pentecost the disciples were operating in the gift of the holy spirit see i was listening to you cody when you were playing and and william was right here and he said something prophetic he said prophesy to this house because what you did is you played a song that was in rhythm with what was in my mouth and in my heart and you played it and then we began to sing the song together why because everything that has breath has to praise the lord and you have to praise him on the high sounding symbols with the psaltery and harp and when the holy spirit comes the instruments agree with the voice and the voice agrees with the hearts and before you know it the veil fills the room that that's called you can prophesy with an instrument you can prophesy on a drum you can prophesy on the base you can prophesy on the keys and you can prophesy with your voice and the bible says that the disciples were operating in the gift of the holy ghost the reason why the church has lost its power is because nobody is operating in the power of the holy ghost we're operating in our flesh we're operating for a check we're operating for notoriety we're operating for a front row seat but is there anybody know that you can be anointed in the back row [Music] [Applause] you can be anointed if don't nobody know your name you can be anointed if you got a mask on you can be anointed if nobody's ever seen you before how many anointed people do i have in this room and watching me on tv say i don't have a title at the church i'm not a deacon i'm not a preacher but when i speak things have to happen we got to have the power oh we got to have the power of the holy ghost we got to have the power of the holy ghost the bible says on the day of pentecost the disciples were operating in the gift of the holy ghost not not the seraphim the disciples not the cherubim but the disciples see i'm trying to make this first thing because the first element we talked about was earth on the day of pentecost it was the earth that was operating through the holy ghost it how do i know that it was the earth here it is ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 20 says that we all go to a place and we're all dust and we shall all go back to the dust see here it is all of you who are watching me today need to understand that the only thing that god has ever filled with the holy spirit was earth that's the only thing he's he's never given the holy ghost to a lion even though he created them he never gave the holy ghost to a tiger even though he created them he only gave the holy ghost to that which was formed from the ground you don't see anywhere in the bible where the bible says where god bent down and created the giraffe out of the dust of the earth no the only thing he spoke the animals into existence and they became but when it came to man he bends down in the earth and creates them from earth why because the holy spirit knows that the day of pentecost is coming and in order for the day of pentecost to be instituted earth has to come you don't hear what i'm saying the bible says in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god that means that the spirit of god became flesh and tabernacled amongst us because only earth could redeem earth so now we have this treasure in earthen vessels for the excellency of the power of god and i am here to tell you today that isaiah 6 3 says and one cried out unto and said holy holy holy is the lord of hosts the whole earth is full of his glory the only thing that has ever been full of his glory is the earth so let me tell you something right now you are human and i know it comes with complications i know it comes with pain i know it comes with dark days i know it comes with hurt and sorrow but the thing that you must understand is even though you are human and it means that it comes with pain you ought to also be shouting because humanity is the only thing that has ever been given to holy the holy ghost that's why nothing changed when the lion roars nothing changed when a snake hisses nothing changes when a dog barks nothing changes when the cat meows but when a saint speaks when a saint speaks those things that are not as though they were when a saint says my child is healed when a saint says my body is healed the lion dies when it dies the tiger dies when it dies but those of us who have been bumped by the price of the holy ghost we can speak those things that are not as though [Music] oh y'all didn't hear what i said the bible says that they were operating through the holy spirit and we understand that if you watch the first miracle of jesus christ you see the entire bible in function if you read genesis you see it in function but the first book of the last of the synoptic gospels and we get to john and we see that in john chapter 1 we see that in the beginning was the word and the word was with god by the time we get to john chapter 2 jesus is performing his first miracle and he is explaining the entirety of the scripture at his first miracle watch this earth wind and fire he says there are water pots that's the earth that watch this there that's the earth but what what he says is when they run out of wine fill it with water that's the word because the bible says that we are washed by the word of god you're not here with me today so you got the earth which is the water pots of clay which represents humanity you got the word that is put in it but then he turns the water to wine and the wine is signifying of joy which only comes from the holy spirit so his first miracle was taking clay putting the word in it and transferring into joy and i've learned the reason why people don't have joy is because they don't have words oh y'all not gonna hear with me today most people can't shout about the holy spirit because they don't know his elder brother in the personality of jesus christ most people can't shout in church not because it ain't a good feeling because they haven't hidden thy word in their heart so they might not sin and so we get to preaching sermons and if we got too much word in it then we start dumbing it down because we afraid people won't understand it and and and every time we dumb the word down so that people don't understand it we rob them of an opportunity to understand the god of their salvation so if what i am saying is difficult to you today and you might not understand what i'm saying you still have an option even in the midst of a difficult conversation you want to know what that is holy ghost reveal it to me because the holy ghost to make stuff that seems confusing plain you get on your knees and say holy ghost i want you to explain it to me i dare you over the next 30 seconds to start a conversation with the holy ghost and say holy ghost i don't know you like that but i know you know me like that and over the next 15 seconds i'm gonna say your name until i feel your presence somebody shout holy ghost come on say it holy ghost say holy ghost and then say move by your power move by your spirit therefore we are buried with him by the baptism unto death that like as jesus christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father even so we also should walk in the newness of life you know what second corinthians 4 7 says we have this treasure in what in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of god and not of what of us so that lets us know that the only thing that can be filled with the spirit of god is earth yeah your knees hurt yeah your back hurt yeah you got arthritis in places you wish you didn't and you get migraines from time to time but with all of that you can still open your mouth and shift the room [Applause] and you can talk about the pain in your body and you can talk about the lack of money in your bank account but i wish you would talk about the power of the holy ghost that has come and filled you because if you access the holy ghost you can speak to arthritis if you access the holy ghost you can speak to your bank account if you access the holy ghost you can speak to your children and do what a belt can't do if you get oh do i have any holy ghost people in here today i know i grew up in the baptist church and in our baptist church they didn't teach us much about the holy ghost because they taught us about theology and they taught us about baptism and then i learned as i grew in the faith that there is two baptisms the one is in the water but then you got to be baptized by the fire one keeps you from going to hell and the other one keeps you from being full of hell i wish i had somebody in this place today that would say holy ghost [Music] sit on my house sit on my money sit on my wife sit on my husband sit on my family i got some stuff i can't handle i need the holy ghost [Applause] [Music] you don't believe me read your bible by the time you get to acts chapter 6 they start talking about a man named stephen and when they start talking about stephen stephen they said that stephen was a mighty soul winner and by the time you get down to the end of that verse the bible says that in in chapter six verse five watch what it says stephen was a mighty soul winner and the secret of his ministry was that he was full of the holy ghost you sitting up here looking at people talking about i'm cuter to them and i'm better than them and why are they farther ahead than i am i got better ideas yeah but you ain't got no holy ghost and the difference [Music] is that beauty is only skin deep but ugly is to the bone and if you get some holy ghost you can outperform talented people i see people look at all the time they're looking on the stage something i can sing better than her but yeah but you ain't got no oil yeah you might have a better voice but you ain't got no holy ghost you might you might be able to sing like an opera singer but you ain't got no holy ghost you can take somebody who got an average voice hook it up with the holy spirit and flip the room upside down because there's something about the power of god i'm looking for somebody who got the holy ghost i don't have enough flesh in my life i need some spirit i don't have enough performers in my life i need some holy ghost [Applause] somebody shout holy ghost romans 14 says that the kingdom of god watch this romans 14 the kingdom of god watch this is not drinking and eating but righteousness and peace and joy in the holy ghost the whole point of life is to find your way into the holy ghost if you get in the holy ghost you won't know how bad they hurt you [Applause] if you get in the holy ghost you won't you won't you won't know how bad it was to not be raised by your biological appearance if you get in the holy ghost he has a way of ease and tension and ease and pain and making you forgive folk that you don't want to forgive that's why you hold a grudge so long because you don't holy holy ghost for a second if you get a hold of god you can let go of the junk i'm talking to somebody might not be all of y'all but you can take that and say if you can't say man say ouch i'm talking to somebody david said that the spirit of the lord spoke to him and his word was on his tongue when you got the holy ghost the word is on your tongue help me holy ghost now i ain't saying that you don't make mistakes because i know every once in a while you might let one slip but when you got the holy ghost help me somebody you don't stand on this stage week after week and and preach a sermon in the flesh every once in a while the holy ghost got to take over and he works at your job he works in your house the problem with most of us is that we only access the holy ghost when we get to the sanctuary and then when we leave the sanctuary we go back operating in the flesh the holy ghost can go wherever you go if you don't believe me acts ask genesis asks moses what he said about joseph the bible says everywhere joseph went favor found him there why because everywhere he went there was favor because favor is in the man and not in the land and if you get the holy ghost in you everywhere you go we'll be blessed everywhere my foot shall tread god will give it to me if i got the holy ghost if i got the holy ghost so you ought to be thanking god that your earth because the earth is the only thing that has been filled with this splendor anybody just want to take three seconds and thank god that you got the holy ghost you couldn't be that kind of mother without the holy ghost you you couldn't be that kind of wife without the holy ghost you couldn't be that kind of father or husband without the holy ghost anybody just want you know and the reason why i'm doing this because we're always thanking jesus but when is the last time you thinked we always say thank you jesus jesus didn't help you get out of that car accident jesus is at the right hand of the father that was the don't y'all make me shout here i'm gonna run out of here right now it wasn't jesus in the hospital room with you that was the holy ghost it wasn't jesus by your mama's bedside that was the holy ghost and the reason why we call him the holy spirit because his greek name in his greek name is the paraclete and the reason why we call him the paraclete is because he is god with us that's why when you jump out of an airplane you need a parachute and when you are sick you need a paramedic because the the holy ghost is god with us and suddenly there came the sound of a mighty rushing wind and it filled oh thank you holy ghost and it filled the whole room it didn't need an additive to help it fill the space it was sufficient enough to fill the whole room and the bible says that when he got in the room the holy ghost sat on them he didn't come in and say y'all doing all right just checking on you and leave out no when when the holy ghost finally came he got comfortable you remember that old song holy ghost take a seat he says the holy ghost came in and he sat on himself i grew up baptist but my mother she went to a a coget church and and i remember the first time i went to church with her because after i went from there i went to church with her and and if y'all know anything about the kojic churches some of those churches are named after the last name of the church the pastor that started the church so those that church was williams chapel because the pastor's last name was williams oh y'all y'all don't know number about that and i remember i saw my mama dancing and she was running around in circles and i was looking at mama wondering what was wrong with her and it was a lady down front in front of mama like this [Applause] and she was clapping and she was rubbing mama's belly and i was wondering what was going on and i leaned over and i asked my uncle fred i said fred what in the world is going on with mama right there he was a bishop in the church he said son this is what we call a terrian service and he said what we gonna do is we just gonna tarry until the holy ghost show up and he said what you saw is that the pastor knew that mama was saved but she didn't have the holy ghost and so he was summoning the angels until the holy ghost showed up and all of a sudden i saw something hit mama and mama ain't been the same since then i'm gonna clap until some of y'all get it i'ma clap until the holy ghost hit your mouth until it hits your mind until it hits your body cause watch this when the holy ghost shows up it fills the room i've never seen anybody empty after they've been baptized by the fire i've seen them single but not empty i've seen them broke but not empty i've seen them in pain but not empty because when you got the holy ghost you can be full even when everything around you is empty the holy ghost allows you to act differently in an environment in spite of how you feel [Music] they spoke in a language that they were not taught because when the holy ghost shows up you got to be vulnerable you got to let go you got to you got to get in the flow somebody shall get in the flow there are too many rigid people in church right now they got to hold himself together because they don't want to look crazy and they don't take all that but you don't know what some of these folk have been through you don't know what hell they have to go through to get here so excuse me over the next 15 seconds if i look like i've lost my mind it's because the holy ghost has set on me [Music] somebody shout the holy ghost the holy ghost there was a sound there was a sound of a mighty russian wind wind wind wind you know pastor turns there's something called a crosswind and a cross wind is a wind that blows perpendicular into the direction that you decided to go uh it's it's what happened when when the disciples were on the boat and the bible says that he had he was looking for them to get to the to the other side but there was a contrary wind that was blowing against them see i wanted to i just want to tell you up front because the devil got a win too every time you feel something blowing they don't mean it's the holy ghost oh y'all didn't hear what i'm saying every time you feel something brush up against you don't mean it's god the devil got to win too the devil got game too the devil got a mouthpiece too the devil got money too the devil got cars too the devil got a house too the devil got a job too and there was a wind there was a wind somebody said there was a wind that was a wind and the wind was coming it wasn't this wind it was another wind now when i read the bible i found out crystal that the bible says there are four winds there are four winds i didn't know this i didn't notice in the beginning of my ministry i didn't know that there were four different winds and the bible says that those winds are named by the direction from which they come the first one the bible talks about is the east wind the east wind is called a scorching wind because it dries up and burns up everything it blows across see sometimes god will send a wind because there's some stuff that needs to be burned out it ain't always going to be a cool breeze sometimes god sends a win because there's some stuff that needs to be burned out of you he says there's the east wind but then there's the west wind and in the text of exodus when we see the children of israel coming out of egypt heading into the promised land the bible says that the seventh and eighth plague was the hell that came down from heaven and the locust that had come but because everything was wet the bible says that the locusts came and they let their eggs down into the wet sand and then they began to propagate and they multiply thereby ensuing the next plague and then god says i sent the east wind in one direction but then the bible says he sends the west wind and when he sends the west wind it carries the locusts from where they were to the red sea because every once in a while not only does god send a windows to burn stuff up but he'll send another win to carry stuff away that's what you feel right now and because god is carrying your locus out of your life i don't know who i'm talking to right now but you got something in your life that has been eating at you you got something that's been eating at your money eating at your health eating at your heart and god says i'm sending another win to carry it away but once i burn it up and once i carried away the bible combines the next two wins he says there's a north wind and there's a south wind somebody say north wind and south wind and he says this north and south wind here it is the bible says solomon said it this way he says that when this wind blows he says that the fragrance spreads abroad it's a sweet smelling fragrance because some of y'all have been in some stinky situations god says i'm about to change the smell of your situation i'm about to change how it smell i'm about to change the appearance i'm about to change how it feels somebody said god send the wind that's why i almost shouted when you were singing william because you said you said fresh wind and i almost ran out of here because this sermon i didn't even tell them what the topic of it was they didn't even understand what i was preaching until i walked into the building today and he said freshman there it is prophesy he put it in my heart put it in your mouth put it on the instruments and now i'm putting it in you because god says i'm sending a fresh win can you feel the wind somebody say the wind is coming somebody shout the wind is coming god is sending a fresh wind and when this wind came it didn't just go through the house the bible says it filled up the house because when god sends the wind this time he's going to make sure you're never empty again he's about to fill your mind with ideas he's about to fill your heart with peace and joy somebody shout fresh when you're about to speak ways you've never spoke before you're about to go places you've never been you're about to have friends you never thought you could have it won't be because of who you are it'll be because the wind is coming somebody shot the wind is coming the wind is coming god's about to blow money your direction he's about to blow peace in your direction he's about to blow health in your direction somebody say the wind is coming the wind is coming and it's not coming on me because it didn't just fill the room midfield the house so my daughter's gonna get the win and my son's gonna get to win and some of y'all pay your parents bills they're gonna get your borrowed win help me holy ghost whatever's coming to your house is going to the house of everybody you're connected to somebody shout fresh win and i declare and decree that as the pastor of the lighthouse church and the pastor of lighthouse 2.0 and as the minister to many of you online i decree and declare a fresh wind in your life oh i'mma say it again i'ma say it and you got a shout about it because this ain't my win it's your win i said god's about to send a new win [Applause] in your direction somebody shall win god says i'm about to send a win that's going to fill your whole house and god thank you holy ghost god said this win is going to be for three things your house your head and your heart i'm gonna feel your head your heart and your house i'm gonna feel your head your heart and your house i'm gonna feel your head your heart and your house i'm gonna feel what you think i'm gonna feel what you feel and i'ma feel where you live somebody's shout is going to be full it says i'm sinning i'm sending a fresh a fresh win but i'm only sending this win to earth if i don't dwell in you you won't feel this win and don't try to bar this win from somebody who was on before you god says i'm sending a fresh win and be careful because when wind comes in your direction people will act like they've been with you the whole time because the wind gonna sit on your house you're gonna have visitors you didn't expect you're gonna have new friends cause they're gonna sense a new wind but where were you doing the east wind don't show up because it's a north and south wind where were you when the wind was scorching where were you when the wind was hurting where were you when the wind was taking things away from me that i thought i needed somebody shout fresh wind earth wind fire and they were speaking with cloven tongues a fire some spoke japanese and i'm just speaking in languages that we have today some were english but on the day of pentecost the opposite of the tower of babel they are now all speaking could you imagine being in china speaking english when you get there and then all of a sudden on sunday morning you start understanding what they're saying with no lessons could you imagine being at the nail shop and somewhere in between the manicure the pedicure and the massage all of a sudden you start understanding they've been talking about you the whole time god says listen i am this is important i am about listen if you don't get anything else get this god says in this next season of your life i'm about to give you understanding [Applause] you're getting ready to understand why it had to happen the way it did that's what the holy ghost does i i promise you i'm i'm this is this is the word of the lord he says i am in this next season you are you about you went through it but i am finally about to reveal to you why that's the question you've been asking for the last 10 years i'm i'm about to show you why and it wasn't about you it was about your house and i had to allow what happened to happen because i was about to do something that was getting ready to fill the house but i had to empty it first i have to empty it first because had i filled it before it was empty then the dna could have been traced to the dirt and not the purity so i'm about to show you why because you've been trying to figure out why for years how many y'all been asking why come on home look at me how many of you been asking why see you and don't you feel bad don't you feel bad jesus asked his father my god my god why hast thou forsaken me you are well within your rights to ask why and he's getting ready to show you why when we see fire in the bible we normally see it as as it relates to the hebrew boys see that fire was a consuming fire it burned what had them tied up but it didn't burn them up remember when elijah was out there arguing with him about whether bell was god or whether jehovah was god and they said okay well if your god is god then then then see if he can consume this altar and elijah says yeah we're going to let's let's let's make it a little more difficult he said let's take some water and and let's wet the wood let's wet the wood up and the bible says that he called on god from heaven and god sent down a fire and not only did it burn up the sacrifice it burned up the wet wood and the stones and the altar because when god sends his fire he leaves no trace of your confinement when god sends this fire they won't ever know you used to be sick when god sends this fire they won't ever know you used to be on welfare do i have somebody talking to me when god sends this fire they will never know you used to have to rob peter to pay paul when god sends this fire they will not know you used to be depressed when god sends this fire he's going to consume everything they try to consume you he sends the fire and the fire represents the indwelling power of the holy ghost are y'all listening to me fire in the new testament is a sign that the holy ghost was coming can i tell you something and i'm going to pray for you before i done i'm done any time you feel heat it's because god is coming hebrew boys did not know when they were burning in that furnace that they were going to look up and see the fourth man liken unto the son of god because when elijah was getting ready to die and god didn't let him die because he was a prophet that was lifted up and the bible says that he was taken up to heaven in the chariot of fire because when you see the fire god is coming somebody shout is coming god is coming the holy spirit is coming normally when it comes to fire and earth we can only touch fire for a short amount of time otherwise we'll be burned in different degrees but this fire sat on them and the church was born [Music] 3 000 people [Music] was saved before the sermon even started oh i can't wait until people shout just cause they're here i can't wait until you have joy just because you woke up you may not live in the neighborhood you want to live in but you're not under a bridge the holy ghost sat on them i speak into your life that the holy ghost is getting ready to rest in your house you've been trying to figure out what's going on with my kids what's wrong with the environment in my house what's why are me and my spouse arguing so much yes it's because you have differences and yes times are hard and yes the finances are difficult and i get all of that but you're missing something you haven't invited the holy ghost into your relationship holy ghost sat on him god i i hate going to my job i don't like working there i don't like the person in the office next to me nobody treats me right yes but if you go to work in the power of the holy ghost you'll understand that god sent you to that job not to be happy but to be light [Music] he's trying to see if you're more concerned with the environment changing you or have you taken on the responsibility of changing the environment i played basketball in college and my job i promise you any of my teammates will tell you this and we're all still friends my job every single practice and game was not to make baskets not to get steals not to get rebounds all of those were my jobs and i had to do all of those things but the thing that i did that nobody else did is before every game i got all of my teammates down on their knees and we prayed every game and listen to this most of them some of them are professional athletes own their own companies we had a great graduating class i prayed every week and i was the only one that got injured i told my acl asking god to protect us from injury and he did protect us from injury but i still got injured i battled with that for a long time because the devil tried to make me think that prayers don't work but what you must understand is that the greatest power of your prayer is not that it works for you [Music] the greatest proof of the power of prayer is that it works for somebody else because jesus christ prayed that the bitter cup would pass him by but it did not but even though it did not pass him by it has passed us by because the greatest prayer works for somebody else i pray that your faith fail you not i pray that your finances would rebound i prayed that you would be a lender and not a borrower i pray that god will give peace to your mind i pray that your children will prosper and be in good health i pray that your mother she won't catch covet i pray that your father will outlive diabetes i pray that your sister will not perish from lupus i speak it by the power of the holy ghost [Music] our god specializes in things that seem impossible so what are we missing church we're not missing instruments we got those what are we missing church we got talent everywhere we're not we got graphic artists everywhere what we are missing is the power of the holy ghost i told our staff i said i don't even want anybody in the room counting that ain't saved [Music] there is no area in our ministry well where professionalism will do be good but be saved have a heart that responds to the wind and not offended by it [Music] it don't take all that oh you don't know the cost of the oil in my alabaster box i want you to stand all over the world as i get ready to pray for you [Music] jesus is the answer to everything you need but the holy ghost is his answer he left him here for you and for me and because we have confessed with our mouth the lord jesus and we believe in our heart that god has raised his son from the dead we are now there by beneficiaries of the holy ghost [Music] but we have to invite him in repeat after me come into my house holy ghost come into my heart holy ghost come into my head holy ghost say it again coming to my house coming to my heart coming to my head one last time coming to my house coming to my heart coming to my head if you prayed that we believe that the holy ghost is going to sit on your house we thank god for the holy spirit [Music] he is the resident president and he is a gift he is the gift of god come on pass the will [Music] purify come on sing it real good [Music] oh we need to see [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] is [Music] purified come on worship him sanctify your heart's life [Applause] [Music] can do it by giving a sacrificial seed i know you may have given before you may have given your tithe or your offering but i want to admonish you today that through this mention of the holy spirit that is about to sit on you it's about to settle you there's some things that shall be settled in your life by whatever seed you can give right now the information is on your screen you can give by way of text you can give by way of app you can give by a website you can give by way of gibblified no matter how you give you can give and i declare a decree that you you're about to be settled in the name of jesus you say pastor family i heard what pastor said on today i heard about the earth and the wind i heard about how the locust was blowing and the wind was moving and the fire and how god chose me to be an earth dweller of the spirit you say i want that same thing he talked about this is your moment this is your opportunity the information is on the screen i want you to connect right now because this very moment is going to change your life forever somebody shout forever somebody say forever if you say pastor hammond i'm saved but i want to be filled with the holy ghost this is on one accord and the sound filled the temple and it consumed them so god i declare and decree that we're gonna have the capacity to be filled somebody needs to get that in the spirit today that i'm gonna have the capacity to be filled so god fill our homes fill our wallets god fill our situations god feel our children god in the name of jesus children are gonna speak tonight children are going to prophesy under the spirit all today hallelujah glory to god give us a different language after this hallelujah and it's in these things that we pray we give you the glory and we say it's settled with a new tongue somebody give god praise and say settle here come on and take your seat my parents at your [Music] him [Music] come on come on come on watch yourself heal our life [Music] we're
