coming out of one thing and headed to something else [Music] and the bible says that he lighted on a certain place i feel your presence holy ghost and he lodged there because the sun had set and he took one of the stones of the place and made it his pillow and laid down in that place you know what i'm going to change the sermon topic i told them that i wanted to preach today um a turnaround but the holy spirit just gave me something in verse 11 i'ma stop reading because i know when he's talking and he took a stone and made it a pillow and laid down in that place let's talk about you can make it what you want you can make it what you want you may be seated in the presence of the lord you can make it what you want they made a t-shirt so fast in this church i know they can change their sermon topic i said something at 11 15 i had a t-shirt 11 18. i know they can change they can change that subject you can make it what you want if you were here this morning online or in person you knew that jacob was on trial and that you as the jury witnessed the closing arguments of the first trimester of the trial discovering the fact that by the time we got to the end of the argument that jacob was indeed guilty of all crimes he was guilty of assault by grabbing the heel of his brother guilty of subterfuge by frauding his brother out of the birthright doubling down on the same crime by stealing the patriarchal blessing and when a felon is habitual in his criminal activity the law even here in texas says that when you're on your third strike the mandatory sentence is life in prison without the possibility of parole what i'm amazed about is the fact that we find out that jacob is guilty on all accounts well then my question is how is he still free in our text if the law says that he must and he must serve a life sentence then why is god still saving his life [Music] it is because when you are the son of isaac and not the descendant of ishmael then even in distress god is still developing you [Applause] that it is true that that no weapon formed against you this is not a colloquialism this is not a cliche this is actual biblical history that no weapon formed against you shall be able to prosper most people miss the power of isaiah's text when he says no weapon shall prosper because preceding verse 17 is the most important verse of them all isaiah 54 16 says that god created the smith that fanned the coal that created the flame that creates the weapon verse 17 and no weapon formed against you shall prosper that means that before you shout about the weapon you should be shouting about the fact that god created the weapon maker he made sure that the person who made the weapon to destroy you did not have a hot enough flame to harden the weapon that's why no weapon that is formed it's not about the weapon it's about the former and that god made sure that the former made mistakes so that he could not form a weapon that would harm you that's why you can come in church and say devil you should have killed me when you had a chance you should have killed this church 15 years ago but god somehow saw fit to allow conania to be in the earth and to allow pastor ronnie to have a vision to start something in the boys and girls club and now the building that he started in can fit in the building he's finishing in don't you miss what i'm saying here's what god told me to tell you that if you stay faithful over a few things he'll make sure that your past can fit inside of your future you are going to be so blessed hear the words that are coming out of my mouth because i'm not playing god told me to decree declare and decree over this house that the worst days of your past let me step down here because i know pastor preach down here the worst days of your future are going to be better than the worst days of your past let me say that again hear the words that are coming out of my mouth imagine your tomorrow imagine your worst day it's going to be better than your best day where you came from we opened this text jacob has stolen esau's patriarchal blessing and pastor esau snapped now anybody in here got a esau spirit because if you you keep bothering me dawg nah look how many of y'all got that i don't bother nobody but if i got a little pocket at me i ain't a killer but don't push me [Applause] i mean anybody got that thing i'm saved i'm saved and i'm sanctified and i speak in tongues but if you get too close i'm gonna have to ask god to forgive me because it ain't gonna be you it's gonna be all the people i let off the hook [Applause] i'm not even going to be fighting you i'm going to be fighting from the fourth grade it ain't even going to be you [Applause] it's going to be my spanish teacher i'm hitting [Applause] he's all snapped i'm really preaching this because some of y'all we laughing but some of y'all listen a pandemic kids at home every day you love them but you had them with the intention they were going to be gone six months out of the year them being at home a whole year was never in the plan and pastor goins esau's defense is i should be found guilty not guilty by reason of insanity i snapped i didn't know what i was doing if if anybody had done to you what jacob did to me i wasn't in my right frame of mind i i lost it i didn't know what i was doing he he snapped so much so that i think around verse 4 of chapter 27 he says i'm literally waiting on my father to die because when my father dies i'm going to kill him this is how i know he snapped because he solves his problem by the same thing that causes it what has caused his problem is lost and now he wants to solve it by creating loss see the way you know that you've lost it is you try to solve your problem on the same level it was started you missed that that just went over your head sit up so i can hit you in the forehead he he he tries to solve his issue on the same level it was started and you cannot solve an issue on the same level it was started that's why you can't beat an evil person at being evil because when you try to beat an evil vindictive person with the same strategy they will pull you down to their level and then beat you with [Applause] experience he saw snapped if i see jacob busting his head to the white meat on site i don't care about being no christian i don't care nothing about my daddy being no isaac i don't care nothing about that when i see the brother it's going down but i am muslim y'all can't do me like that i can hear everything out there you can't do me like that that's something beat a place where we just couldn't control our reaction to feeling disenfranchised or what we perceived happened to us but i am confused about esau's reaction he's upset with his brother about the birthright but pastor rhema here's my question why are you so mad at jacob because when he took the birthright the bible says that he sat down he ate the pottage he got up burped and walked away and went to sleep i'm confused why is he mad about something that just a chapter ago he didn't care about then i realized that when you are the blessing they don't miss you until you're gone oh god i i wish i had somebody in here today that that that when you are really a blessing to somebody's life they can act like they don't like you they can act like they don't need you they can act like you're insignificant but what they don't understand is there is a cost to losing me oh i dare you shout there's a cost to losing me you you i yes i got a bad attitude and i got a bad temper but baby i got some anointing on my life and and when i'm in your life everything martial do i have any anointed people in here say i'm not perfect but you mess around and lose me you're gonna lose something because what you didn't see is when i was in the bathroom i was praying for you what you didn't know is when i was washing dishes i was interceding for you what you didn't know as i was saying god don't let them get in a car accident you've been rebuking devils do i have any anointed people i'm not perfect but you're gonna lose something if you lose me somebody shout i'm a blessing see when you re when you understand you are a blessing then you won't let people treat you like you're a curse [Music] somebody shout i'm a blessing i didn't say shout out i was perfect i said shout out i'm a blessing blessing is gone that's why when you look on social media and you don't broke up with somebody and they talk about i'm living my best life no you ain't you missing the blessing because if you if you was living your best life you wouldn't be trying to convince everybody you you live in your bed what you what you really ought to be saying here i messed up i let the blessing go [Applause] that part [Applause] when rebecca learns that esau is plotting to murder jacob the bible says like any good mama does she was the first fresh principal or mama she sent her son to west philadelphia born and raised [Applause] he was chilling out maxin relaxin oh okay i see y'all i'm gonna let him get it out [Applause] y'all ain't gonna whistle for the cab or nothing i'm just here okay [Applause] she sends him 400 miles away to haran and she says this is what i want you to do baby listen you grown up now it's time for you to get married and don't don't pick no heathens like your brother i need you to go out to haran and and and i got an uncle i got a brother there which is your uncle his name is laban go go live with him in in haran now if he's on a horse they travel about 50 miles a day so you can imagine how it takes some of but if he's on foot then you can cut that in half he's somewhere between 15 to 25 miles a day so he's not this isn't he it's not like you and i if we want to go uh to fort worth we can get in our car and drive over if you want to come to houston you can get on the plane and be there it's not the same thing same distance but not the same thing he's gotta walk he's gotta feel the struggle the dust is in his eyes his lips are dry he's hungry he's gotta find water along the way he's gotta find food along the way he's gotta go and perhaps he's by himself so now he's lonely because the long journeys are often alone and he goes to iran but halfway there he's too tired to go the whole way so he has to stop in a place called bethel he stops halfway there in a place called bethel and when he gets there he's exhausted anybody ever been tired anybody ever been exhausted i want he's the he's the after church after meal tired you know y'all gonna leave here you're gonna go eat and you ain't gonna you're gonna be in a coma for about two hours and he stops at a place called bethel and he falls asleep can you imagine he hasn't slept well in so many years he's got so many things going on so he must have rested in the way that he never rested in a long time because the bible says all of a sudden this man who has been troubled in spirit all of a sudden has a dream and he falls asleep and he has a dream and the bible says he dreams of a ladder now you got to understand that when we talk about a ladder we're not talking about the wrong ladder that you and i have this is a set of steps that he sees reaching from earth to heaven one writer said this is a type of christ and a shadow because it re it represents the incarnation of god because as the latter goes from heaven to earth christ has come from heaven to the earth and it is the mediation work of god that he is actually seeing in the steps this is moses's burning bush this this is his moment this is this is god speaking to him this is his road to damascus paul this is this is this is his moment this is the the turnaround in his life that's why i wanted to call it the turnaround this is the point where where the jury starts to see the case a little different and the bible says this is where he goes to bethel the place where abraham built the altar do i got anybody here with me today this is the place where abraham built the archer this is the place where king jeroboam set up the golden image and the golden calf for himself this is this is the place uh that of that refused to allow amos to preach the word of god this is the place where elijah was persecuted this is bethel this is a desolate place a barren place a desert place and he's there on the run from a murderer and he gets to bethel and he isn't innocent his decisions landed him there bethel was hard for him because i want to talk to people in here because everything that's going on in your life the devil didn't do [Applause] college boy can i get any honest people in here the devil is busy and he ain't worth nothing but the devil don't tell you who to date you might have dated him but he didn't tell you to the devil don't tell you to spend money you don't have and end up in debt come on talk to me the the devil doesn't doesn't doesn't tell us to have bad habits the bible says that he's a roaring like seeking whom he may devour and he comes to do what kill steal and destroy and the law of diminishing returns says that what he does last is more important than what he does first so he doesn't come to steal kill and destroy he comes to destroy steal and kill because the devil knows that if he can create a habit in you you'll destroy yourself [Applause] he's there because of what he picked and i wanted to talk to people who just say god i i have something to do with this i'm not innocent i i i need your grace but i have something to do with this i'm not here because i was dancing holy dancing all week long i'm not here because i always wore and said and did the right things i'm not here because i'm faultless i'm here because every once in a while i got in a compromised situation every once in a while i let my feelings get in the way every once in a while my temper overcame me do i have any honest people in the room because if you're not honest this message ain't gonna help you [Applause] beth it was hard for him but my brother he does something he gets sleepy and the bible says he gets a stone and turns it into whatever he wants he he takes a stone and he turns it into a pill everybody say turn it into a pillow he gets a stone and and he turns it into a pillow and and god told me to tell you that uh in this next season it's going to be hard for you but you can still rest on it it's gonna it's gonna be difficult but you can still rest in it it's gonna be hard but you're still gonna get paid through it yeah yeah they might repossess the house but god says i'll let you lose the house that you want it so i can give you the house that i actually had for you he said i'll let you i let you lose the car that you just had to have so that i could give you the one that i actually had for you he wants you to know that it may be hard but you can learn to rest in it and then god told me to tell you he'll give you a david anointing because after you learn how to rest with your stones you'll learn how to kill your giants with your stones you're going to walk into a season where you're going to start killing your devils with rest oh y'all miss what i just said oh i'm talking about 300 people in here today your battles are getting ready to be so easy that you're going to be able to do it in your sleep how many of y'all know god is about to give you the kind of money making anointing well you're gonna make millions with your eyes closed do i have anybody say it was hard but it's now it's about to be easy he went asleep on a stone everybody's different i cannot sleep unless i have a set in certain circumstances number one my feet have to be tucked in all of you people who sleep with your socks on you need to come to the altar and repent that's what you need to do while you're here shouting if you sleep with socks on you need to be a passing god for forgiveness [Applause] how many of y'all sleep with socks on i bind you in the name of jesus you need to be loosed and set free my feet got to be tucked and i need a comforter i need a blanket which means i got to take the air conditioner down to about 68. now how many of y'all sleep with any temperature in the 70s get to the altar ain't nobody got time to be sleeping next to you hot like that sweating and being dehydrated in the morning but he sleeps in an uncomfortable place see you gotta learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable i'm speaking a word into your life because if you think that the building you're in right now if you think the ministry that you have right now is canaan i came to tell you this is bethel [Applause] this church this building this ministry that you've built over 17 years as great as it is this is the rest stop [Music] to where god has you actually on your way to there are bigger buildings you have to build more students that you need in the school more impact that god has for you for the community this is not the promised land this is not iran this is bethel the day is going to come you're going to have to blow these walls out and double the size of this sanctuary because god has a ladder he has a ladder he's he's connected heaven and he's connected earth and and and when you're turning it into your want what you want and and there's a turnaround you're gonna have to learn how to use your stones differently when when when david saw his stones he he used them to kill a giant and god himself was the rejected stone the writer later on says that he becomes the chief cornerstone what god is saying you're gonna have to learn to use your stones differently there was a stone put over his his tomb to seal him but but what they didn't know is that the kind of anointing he had stones couldn't stop him i came to preach to somebody i want to tell you that stones can't stop you give your neighbor a fist bump and say stones can't stop you you have the woman who was caught in the very act of adultery you have the kind of anointing that she had they brought stones to kill her and jesus came and wrote on the ground and said he who is without sin let them cast the first stone and then the people who have sinned began to drop their stones i don't know who i'm talking to but you ought to see stones dropping and that stone dropping anointing means that god's about to give you a second opportunity i need somebody over the next 15 seconds to begin to give god praise in advance because he's going to turn your hard things into restful places you're gonna rest where you used to worry [Music] [Applause] somebody shout stones you gonna kill giants with god says i'm gonna move you from stones to steps move you from stones to steps while he was sleeping while he's sleeping with a broken heart while he's sleeping with a confused mind he sees a set of steps reaching from earth to heaven can you see those steps come on leave conania leave arlington leave this this place where we are right now can you see the steps lay your head on the stone with him feel the heat of the stone on the side of your face there's a stone and then there are steps god shows them steps god shows him steps god shows him steps the steps of a good man are ordered by the lord god shows him steps if you had a chance to come up here you would see that this first step is more shallow than the second step this step is small this is the this is one but the next one is larger and then the next one is the same as the third but then the next one is smaller than the previous i can't explain why that step is shallower than this step and why this step is the same as that step and why this step is different from that step i don't understand because i was not there when the architecture designed it but what god told me to tell you is that he's about to tell you why he ordered your steps the way he did he's about to tell you why one step was steeper than the other he's about to tell you why one step was slippery he's about to tell you why one step was missing he's about to tell you why he had to skip a step god's about to show you why he ordered your steps the way he ordered them because i guarantee if you had an opportunity to pick your steps you wouldn't have picked what you went through how many of y'all be like like god though you slayed me yet well i trusted you how many of you all be honest if you had a chance to go back and ask god to do something different god says you understand i was developing you on those steps [Applause] and you know why the step was missing at that point in your life because the person you was with wasn't willing to jump and you want to know why that step was steep because the people who were with you would have only stayed if it was an easy step you don't understand that the steps were created to keep the people who are not willing to take the steps with you from going to the top but if i had about 500 people in this room that'll start giving god the glory for the steps and the stones somebody say steps and stones stones and steps spend the next 15 seconds thanking god for the steps and the stones [Music] i can't imagine how much money it took to take a building like this and retrofit it no stone has been left unturned you you guys have painted the back of buildings now y'all know most people when they take buildings like this and overhaul them they do the front but they don't do the back i've driven up to buildings like this a thousand times and got to the back in the back didn't look like the front but every particular corner of this edifice has attention paid to it because you are following a leader who praises god for steps and stones and what you must understand thank you holy ghost that whatever god does for the church house he can do it for your house i'm telling you right now you better get ready for new furniture you better get ready for houses you didn't build you better get ready for land that you did in vineyard and plant do i have any oh thank you holy ghost god says there's a real estate anointing in the room god says i'm about to give you property all right this is the season god is about to reveal to you why he ordered your steps the way he did just just so i can get out how many of y'all have really had a rough life just be honest like it was tough for you people look at you in this church and they see you with your nice little church clothes on and they see you in here praising but they don't know that you was one episode away from losing your whole mind who am i talking to see ain't i ain't i don't want to talk to no fake people i'm talking about real people say listen right now you see my glory but you do not know my story you do not know what i had to go through to get here you don't know that i almost committed suicide you don't know that i thought about giving up you don't know that i thought about giving up and throwing in the towel who'll be honest it's a problem with the churches we want everybody to think we was always like this we come to sanctuary we want people to think we always saying hallelujah anyhow but some of y'all can quote every song drake ever made some some of y'all and some of y'all a little older than that so i got to go back you know about the commodores the originals you haven't always been as polished as you are and it's okay because i'm defending you you didn't have to be because god doesn't look for perfection he looks for failure so he can perfect it and that's why after the stones and the steps god sends them seraphim the angels show up on the scene and anytime you see angels something is about to happen remember when they announced that the baby was born in bethlehem it was the angels that showed the wise men how to get there you remember when jesus christ was being resurrected it was angels that took him through a tomb where people were guarding and i always asked the question my brother why in the world as jesus was laying dead in the tomb why did they have two men standing outside of a tomb guarding a dead man i understand why you have security at the church but i don't understand why you need security at the cemetery do you know why the enemies of god had soldiers outside of his tomb and none of the disciples were present it's because before he died he told the disciples if i lay this temple down in three days i'm going to raise it back up none of the disciples were there but his enemies were guarding him and the lord told me to tell you your enemies believe in you more than your friends do that's why they always lying on you that's why they always got your name in their mouth that's why they always trying to take you out that's why they always trying to get you fired so i want to talk to people in here today if you got some enemies make your noise in this place god told me to tell you that by the end of today you need to ask god for 10 more enemies why you not listening to me because why your enemies become your footstools if you don't have enough enemy you don't have enough steps if you don't have enough enemies you'll never reach your destiny i need you to get home and print out some enemy applications [Music] i want you to go to work tomorrow you want to be my enemy you want to be my enemy because i'm trying to reach something in prayer don't work i need some enemies [Music] [Applause] how many all need enemies see you don't want them but they're good for you enemies make you cross t's enemies make your dot eyes enemies make you watch your back and don't make mistakes enemies make sure you don't befriend the wrong people enemies make sure you don't just let anybody inside of your house enemy make sure you just don't let anybody babysit your kids i need somebody to shout hallelujah [Music] i see angels i feel the holy ghost i see angels i see angels and whenever you see an angel it means god's about to send a message i see angels on this side of the room you better get ready for god to roll away the stone you better get ready for your giants to die you better get ready for your money to multiply you better get ready to have dreams in the middle of the night that are going to show you how to make a million dollars a month i ain't got nobody in here today but i wish i had some future millionaires to jump on your feet and say god showed me in the dreams [Music] i feel the holy ghost somebody said i feel it in a dream i'm gonna stop right there i'm just doing right there somebody i want you to know how many of y'all been having dreams lately oh oh i feel the anointing now i'm ministering but god's getting ready to show you something in your dreams and the dream is gonna connect where you are to where you're going what i need you to do is i need you to get a notepad and i need you to put it on your nightstand if you don't have a nightstand i need you to put it in the bed with you under your pillow because god is going to wake you up at 2 32 this morning coming up and he's going to give you a dream and you're going to forget it by the time you wake up so you better write it down because he'll never show it to you again 2 32 this morning who am i talking to get your notepad get a pen make sure it work before you go to bed [Music] he's going to give you a dream in the morning you're going to write it down and he'll never show you again and that dream is going to connect you from where you are to where you're going [Applause] [Music] he always sends the angel in the hard places when he was in gethsemane sweating blood that's when the angels showed up he sends the angels when you're in your most difficult moments how many of y'all are having a difficult season right now i'm ministering right now let me get back to preaching i'm seeing god in this place i don't know why but i see angels in the air anytime god sends angels it's because he's about to do something anytime he sends angels it's because he has a message anytime he sends angels it's because you're getting ready to go from one level to the next level how many of y'all feel yourself going to another level how many of y'all know this church is going to another level you can turn it into whatever you want watch this after the seraphim the stones and the steps now we find the seed don't go to sleep yet god says to jacob the same thing he said to abraham even though you messed up i'm going to make sure that your mistakes don't affect your seed verse 14 in thy sea shall all the families of the earth be blessed this next one is for your kids i want you to see what god did for his children and as descendants by the blood of jesus of jacob the same thing shall happen to yours the first thing he gave his children was property the second thing he gave him was a purpose and the third thing he gave him was a pardon get ready for your children to be landlords how many of you all received that for your children get ready for your children to find out their purpose how many of you all are sitting in here right now with your child i decree and declare i want every parent to lay your hand on your child and say i speak three things into your life property purpose and pardon and a pardon means that you get forgiven for a crime you did commit [Applause] some of your kids getting ready to be rich and you've been praying to be rich god says i'm gonna let it happen in your generation it's gonna be what you set up for your children you may not make it but you'll enjoy it i know i'm ministering right now i know when the holy ghost is talking to me some of your children right now and it ain't gonna make sense because your children being raised by somebody who grew up the way you grew up and came from where you came from and they still prosper it's because god says i'm gonna pardon them so that the sins of the father don't become the sins of the son i decree and declare that every curse that is on your family is broken over your children's life i decree and declare that everything that happened to your grandmother shall not happen to your granddaughter everything that has happened to your life i bind it on your children in the name of jesus now i need somebody to summon the angels in this room and say devil you can't have my son you can't have my daughter you can't have my children they are blessed and highly favored oh i can't hear no parents warring in the spirit for their children i dare you to let the devil know my children are off limits hallelujah [Music] you can't have my son you can't have my daughter you can't have my nieces you can't have my nephews you can't have anybody that got my last name [Music] hallelujah come on let the devil know not this family not the johnsons not the hendersons not the o'neills not the moors not the buoys not the rosses come on and praise it [Music] i need you to cancel that attack on your child i'm trying to move on but i felt the devil trying to get a generation i felt the devil trying to get our children i need somebody to step in between your child and the devil and say not my baby glory to god glory to god some of your children might be over in children's church right now but the lord can hear the he can hear us over there not minds [Music] no childhood cancer in my family [Music] no childhood diabetes in my family no breast cancer in my daughter [Music] no brain tumor in my niece [Music] no teen pregnancy in my family [Music] no rape no molestation in my babies hallelujah i feel the holy ghost in the room no infant death syndrome in my family no car accidents over my child i speak scholarships i speak money i speak property i speak favor hallelujah [Music] hallelujah i speak that your children will have prophetic utterances [Music] i speak that one of your child will have the cure to cancer i speak of glory over your children do i have any desperate parents come on you better fight for them cause the devil's fighting for them come on [Music] he said i'ma bless your seed i'ma bless your seed thank you holy ghost i'm speaking to that that couple right now that's been trying to have children for 14 years god says i'm about to unlock your womb i'm about if you've been trying to have children haven't been able to i just want you to raise your hand by faith i speak into your womb right now that god is going to unlock a seed [Music] now what you don't know is right now you're holding a prophecy because i just asked who's been trying to have children and hasn't been having able to there's no way i would have known you because you're holding the baby right now i would have known it of a sudden jacob realized i made it because his presence was with me i pray that the presence of the lord will follow your child everywhere they go [Music] his presence will be on the football field with him had his presence to be on the basketball court with him that his presence would be on the baseball diamond with him that the presence will be at the movie theater with him that his presence will be at the house party wherever they go that that even even when they get in the car of the wrong person i'm trying to leave this thing alone i got stuck right here [Music] because conan if your children don't make it this church dies with you [Music] because you're gonna get tired and your income producing years are going down every day you wake up and if this church is going to survive another 20 30 40 50 years there has to be another generation to rise up that's why the only purpose of youth church should be to train them for this church because your sons and daughters are going to be singing your sons and daughters are going to be serving your sons and daughters are going to be prophesied [Music] churches have to think generationally [Music] the old man is for wisdom but the young man is for war and we can't get so stuck in our positions because we've been there so long sometimes we got to step aside [Music] so that jacob's seed come here benjamin come here judah come here levi come here naftali because out of jacob comes 12 boys [Music] and jacob was always god's way of multiplying the land and jacob wasn't no good and god still picked him that's why you can't 18. he rose up and he said this pillar keep on playing we good we done his pillows set it up for a pillar pour the oil on it and after he does that won't you go down to verse 20-22 let's bring it up on the screen if god will be with me in this way that i go [Music] and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear go to verse 21 so that i come again in my father's house in peace then the lord shall be my god go to verse 22. and this stone which i have set up for a pillar shall be god's house and of all that you give me i will give you a full tent [Music] because you bless my seed i'm going to seal it by giving you a seed [Music] listen because if i could trust you with my seed now i got to show you that you can trust me with the seed come on now don't get quiet because what jacob had to do in order to solidify the blessing on his house was to make sure that he left seed in the same ground that gave him soil [Music] so there you have it i don't know if you want to call that message a turnaround or if you want to call it what i called it and that is you can make it what you want but you can absolutely turn a hard place into a place of rest listen this giving time and i want you to begin to rest in the area of finances i don't want you to be so bogged down and so um so arduous and so frustrated about the area of your finances and you can break that habit now by just being
