[Music] how very fitting of me but since it's been so long since i've given these scores you know this was very early in my anime watching career i would like to think that probably updated this maybe about two years ago maybe even less than that depending on whenever era manga sensei came out and obviously as the years have gone by my tastes in anime have definitely changed as does everybody's i mean the more anime you watch it's expected that your tastes in anime are going to change so not only will this be a great way to basically band together and to just absolutely [ __ ] all over my horrible taste in anime but it'll also be i guess a cool little retrospective to like look back and think like oh i wonder what shows i gave a high score that don't deserve it anymore or what shows i gave a low score that didn't deserve as harsh of a judgment but first of all uh can you guys just give me some props that i've seen almost 500 shows and honestly because it's been so long since i've updated this at this point i think i've already seen over 500 shows i have 12 currently watching that's a fat lie i've dropped 22. obviously not dropped as many i lost 11 000 episodes bro 11 almost 12 000 episodes of anime god damn 180 days of my life that's like it's full on six months of my life gone from watching japanese cartoons i hope you're proud of me mom but without further ado let's jump in and start the roasting shall we all right let's go to the currently watching uh i am currently not watching any of this wow this is this is a very long time ago did holy [ __ ] alice the zoroku kakegurui jesus little witch academy tv that was like two years ago what the [ __ ] okay i can honestly say that the shows i did watch out of uh these currently watching shows uh the ones i finished were kakigurui littlewitch academia uh recreators and i think shu matananiste maska i mean it says here i'm currently watching my hero academia second season i never started that [ __ ] i know me saying that is probably gonna get me absolutely flanked in the comments but hey man i'm just being real with you guys i finished season one and i just thought it was okay if you like to hear my full thoughts on it then i've left the link to a video where i give you my full honest thoughts on my academia but uh suffice to say i never started season two i should probably get on that okay kakeguru i'm probably going to give a five just because it was as the name suggests pretty average to me in terms of gambling anime uh definitely kaiji did it the absolute best i don't think there's any denying that in fact to even compare kaiji and kakiguru is is kind of an offense to kaiji so i'm just gonna leave it at that little witch academia though i quite enjoyed i didn't enjoy it as much as the ova but i'm still gonna give it like a seven because it was pretty good recreators i really [ __ ] enjoyed i i thought it was absolutely fantastic i'll probably give it ah man i'd say i'll probably give it an eight it was pretty freaking good i mean i gave my thoughts even though it is an isekai or reverse isakai and you guys know how i feel about my instagram shows it was still pretty goddamn good i think when we did the isekai tearless video uh that i did with my good friend gig which i'll leave up there on the screen as well then i think we put it on the s tier rank and the other one i finished was shu matanani maskashi this again is like another like kind of like fantasy show not isakai if i remember correctly i just thought it was okay i mean the the lie novels were definitely better so i'll give it a six for the time being all these other ones though i definitely did not finish so i think we'll just leave it at that but more importantly now let's go over to the completed section and see if i agree with any of the scores i gave to any of the shows because uh if you guys have seen that latest episode of the trash days podcast if you guys don't know which is a podcast that me can see dog do uh then you guys know that the meme over on my channel is that i once gave school days a 10 out of 10. it's so funny that you say like the school days like mal is either like a ten or two that's yeah i was definitely one of those people who put it aside i know you didn't use this [ __ ] and disown me dad but like any good anime critic and anime watcher i've changed my opinions multiple times so hopefully we can say the same thing about the 500 something shows that i have watched over my lifetime man just looking at these titles is throwing me back to like the time period that i watched it in yet like when i like look at air for example i still agree with the score i gave it i still agree that it was an eight out of ten but like when i whenever i just hear the name of that show it just like gives me that flashback that wave of nostalgia when i first watched it and man if honestly if i could like remove a memory from my head uh of any anime air would definitely be up there because holy [ __ ] uh what i would kill to watch that again oh my god dude we found our first problem hachiko eight out of ten okay look i'll admit achicochi cute as [ __ ] right i mean tsumiki i thought was one of the most adorable anime characters that i'd ever seen like ever but an eight out of ten nah dude it was good but it wasn't that good all right i'm i'm pushing that [ __ ] maybe down to like a six i think i think that's a little more appropriate i know a lot of people got on my ass for giving akame a kill a four out of ten and that's me being nice i would have it honestly i might even push that down to like a three out of ten but i'll i know if i say anything bad about the aca mega kill anime then uh there's this really dedicated group of people who just love to get on people's asses about it obviously the only edgy show that they've ever seen is upcoming a kill so you know know what you can do about that saw a five out of ten hell no bro that was one of the most boring soft core hinties that i had ever seen all right i'm i'm giving it maybe like a three oh my god i always say kind of choosing that i remember this one it wasn't that wasn't this that like really shitty [ __ ] like ova series that was essentially just like uh sega versus nintendo it was like the console wars but with really [ __ ] two-dimensional boring ass characters in this boring ass setting like the concept was really cool but jesus christ three out of ten you know what i'm i think i'm gonna push that down maybe i'm gonna give it a two honestly i'm thinking to give it a one maybe but i'll save it for the time being oh man all of these shows are just [ __ ] bringing me back dude undercover under the bridge barkano i still think deserves a 10 out of 10 jesus christ can we please get another season of barcano also can these [ __ ] on the internet stop sleeping on barcano seriously if you if you're watching this video right now and you've never seen barcano do me a solid do your boy an absolute solid and go and watch it it is only 13 episodes it is short but so goddamn sweet erased seven out of ten i don't think i was harsh enough on that honestly i i think i'm gonna you know what even though it had amazing first eight episodes just those last couple of episodes man the the ultimate cucking that that main character got at the end the unjustified cucking that not only the main character got but we as viewers of anime got with that [ __ ] shoehorn ass ending man i i don't know man i'm i'm gonna i'm gonna go in the middle i'll give it a six very late six all right but you bet you better watch yourself erased you know what i'm i'm looking at these lists right now and i don't think i can like so far we're like coming up to our like first hundred so far i don't think there's like anything that i disagree with too much oh hold on a second i've found another problem calls party missing footage and caused by the tortured souls five out of ten yeah wasn't that good this is definitely telling of a time period and like i guess mentality that i kind of had if you guys don't know back in like 2014 2015 somewhere around there like when i was still doing let's plays remember those kids when i was still doing let's plays one of the game franchises that i guess my channel was pretty much known for was the corpse party series probably because not only did i play corpse party 2 which was a game that only just came out wasn't only available in japan but also i played a spin-off visual novel of corpse body called corpse party uh sachiko's birthday something like that i mean it's pretty freaking niche it's a corpse party spin-off but it's a comedy visual novel yeah wrap your head around that [ __ ] and i think because i was in this whole like corpse party phase that when i found out that the corpse party series had two different ova series i was like okay i'll give it a go and i watched and i was like i think i was on that high you know on that adrenaline high up like yeah corpse party's [ __ ] awesome and so anything that calls party brings out is pretty freaking good and i think i remember when i gave it a five out of ten uh that was me being very very harsh back in the day but uh now that i am a jaded old man who was way past that cringy corpse party face i definitely would not give either of these two a five out of ten it is not deserving of a goddamn five out of ten so yeah i think uh at least with course party tortured souls um i'm probably gonna give it like a like a like a two and corbs party missing footage that was only a one episode ova and i don't think it was as bad as tortured souls so i'll save it some trouble give it like a very light three out of ten all right a whole lot has taken i gave nagano a 5 out of 10 which i agree with but how come i gave the [ __ ] the [ __ ] one episode ova which was i believe it was just like a straight up beach episode a six out of ten bro my boy being horny on me let's put you down to uh the the same level as the actual tv series ah yes now this one is very much a controversial opinion of mine dunganronpa the animation i gave a 7 out of 10. first of all i would not give it a 7 out of 10 now i would probably give it maybe a six or five probably probably closer to a five and i think the only reason i gave it a seven back in the day is because i hadn't actually played the game in fact my first exposure to the duncan romper franchise was the anime i know dungarampa fans right now are probably writhing in their chairs at the moment and i totally feel you on that because it wasn't until after i watched this anime that i was like oh this is based off a game let me go and play the game and i did i played all three of the games and i can definitely say that compared to the three games especially the first game the animation was pretty freaking average to say the least and i still don't understand why the [ __ ] they never adapted danganronpa 2 which inarguably is the best danganronpa game in the franchise okay how come they skipped over the best game in the franchise and just went from one to three i'll never understand that but the one thing i will understand is giving danganronpa the animation a5 because it was pretty freaking average especially compared to the games okay but on the opposite side of the spectrum death parade i gave an eight out of ten i honestly think this is probably a ten out of ten yes i know very very heated but i recently re-watched a couple of episodes of different episodes of death parade and my god the amount of attention to detail in that show and just the the pure feeling of i guess like existentialism that i got out of re-watching death parade was just it was really refreshing weirdly enough and man i gave it an eight because i'm sure i found it pretty freaking amazing but i think now i'm in more of a headspace to i guess fully appreciate death parade a lot more so i'm definitely giving it like a strong nine to a ten please give it a go it's only 12 episodes and i guarantee it is freaking amazing also that opening by bradio has to be one of the most boppin anime openings of the 2010s so please go and check it out oh my god okay of course i did of course i gave alvin lee in a nine out of ten of course i did again it's like corpse party man i was just in that edgy ass like the more gore the better phase right like of course of course i was and of course with elephant lead which back in the day was one of the most brutal series that had come out onto tv of course i gave it a 9 out of 10. now since then uh obviously i have come out of my cringy uh edge lord phase of like yeah we'll go on violence please because as much as i'm okay with goron violence it elvenly did not age well let's just say that especially the art style did not age well and since then i have actually read the original manga series and my god i thought the anime was gory and violent and [ __ ] up jesus christ the manga takes it to like a million steps further somehow i don't know what is wrong with the author but i would like to sit down and have a chat to him about it nowadays i would definitely not give alpha lead a nine out of ten as much as i thought it's still a pretty good show again did not age very well and since then uh i have definitely started to pinpoint some of the uh inaccuracies of the story and whatnot so i think i'll give it a seven i i think that's fair yeah again it wasn't bad i definitely do recommend the show if you want to go back and watch like a classic that is was back in the day very controversial very talked about people still talk about dolphinly to this day okay what the [ __ ] i give guinea okay a seven did anyone even watch genie okay seriously like i think that's one of those shows that no one [ __ ] watched back in the day and i wouldn't be surprised if you've never heard of it uh i personally wouldn't recommend you to go watch it right now uh because it's definitely not a seven out of ten i'm gonna bring that down to like a five because uh jesus christ i barely remember anything about it other than it was just essentially just a madoka magica wannabe just a very edgy magical girl show but not as impactful as madoka was not even close so yeah definitely 5 out of 10 material oh that's that's i'm glad i spotted this before it was too late because if i had kept this [ __ ] as it was your boy was about to get [ __ ] canceled bro i gave [ __ ] italia a 7 out of 10. what the [ __ ] is wrong with me italia if you guys don't know is one of those shows that uh if it aired today in 2020 my god twitter would be going crazy over it right now because uh racist is like a very very loose term to describe what hetalia is and was first of all i don't know how the [ __ ] i sat through 52 episodes of this [ __ ] and this is just season one there was like five seasons of this [ __ ] how i don't [ __ ] know but i would absolutely not give it a seven out of ten i i even remember specifically struggling to make it through those 52 episodes why did i give it a 7 out of ten bruh that it's it's more like a four maybe i definitely would not watch it again and i was definitely put off when i found out that after 52 episodes of five-minute episodes there was like four more seasons of this [ __ ] hell no bro four out of ten for you [ __ ] of course my boy being horny on main as always giving high school dd high school dj new high school ddova and high school dd specials at least a seven or an eight i still agree infinite stratos seven what the [ __ ] i see all joey actually had some sense in him because he gave infinite straddles two or two out of ten makes sense but infinite straight ups one seven out of ten no maybe i thought seven out of ten was average back in the day but clearly i can't read english because it clearly says five average so what the [ __ ] was wrong with me oh okay oh this is this is quite interesting i don't know what headspace i was in when i gave these shows these scores but i gave joker game an 8 out of 10 and i gave joshiraku a 7 out of 10. honestly how i feel about these shows now it's it's essentially flipped i think joker game deserves a lower score maybe like a six and yoshidaku deserves a much higher score i want to give it like an eight or nine first of all joker game was again it was good not that amazing though definitely especially after i watched 91 days which i believe followed a joker game i wouldn't watch jokey game again whereas i would watch 91 days again because 91 days [ __ ] was [ __ ] awesome and i'm gonna give joshiraku a higher score than a seven i'm gonna give it i'm probably gonna give it an eight actually like a very high eight white nine because i think that this is one of those shows that i think only maybe i will only enjoy maybe i'm the only one who will only enjoy this because this is definitely one of those shows where the comedy just does not translate in english i mean it's all about a bunch of high school girls who do rakugo stuff and dakugo is just a type of comedy that revolves around the japanese language and around japanese culture and if you are unfamiliar with that kind of comedy then this show probably won't be very appealing to you 8 out of 10. what the [ __ ] is wrong with me i mean yeah it was funny i guess but an eight out of ten nah dude i'm good i'm giving you a six out of ten because uh you were definitely funnier than the average uh comedy anime back in the day corner super season one seven no no no no no you're you're much better than that dude maybe because when season one came out this was before the absolute sheer abundance of izakaya comedy series that we're trying to basically emulate what connoisseur did back in the day but nah i've seen so much more connor super rip-offs since then no you at least deserve a nine dude making six out of ten and specials five out of ten nah dude again this is obviously a much younger joey that like to watch anime without his pants on apparently i'm probably gonna give both my kinky and a monkey specials a four because yes although there were a lot of aspects that were pretty good overall it was pretty god damn boring and and the show was definitely just way too oversaturated with that shield as much as i do love my tits and ass in anime don't get me wrong i am the henty boy after all sometimes i want to separate the two you know if i want to go watch hunty i'll go watch hunty but sometimes if i want to watch something that is trying to feed me a proper story you gotta lay back on that [ __ ] all right i've grown up now i am way more old than jaded and i don't need those tits and ass in my life i'm an independent woman what the [ __ ] mirai nikki eight out of ten you [ __ ] edge lord douchebag i'm gonna bring you down to like a six out of ten dude i mean i was i was blinded but now i can see that yes while you know maybe hot waifu material at the end of the day she's just another pink haired crazy [ __ ] oh here we are here we are at that at that problematic show that everyone loves to meme about over on our podcast channel school days it's a 7 out of 10. that used to be a 10. let that sink in what would i give it now hard to say definitely not a seven that's for sure you know what i'm gonna compensate in the middle and go with a five it wasn't a ten definitely definitely wasn't a ten but it wasn't a one either all right like it definitely had some good parts but i still stand my ground to this day to say that that ending made up for a whole lot of [ __ ] that we had to experience throughout those 12 episodes all right those are those other 11 episodes it just got worse and worse and worse but then that final payoff still to this day satisfying as [ __ ] and you can argue all you like about that down in the comments below but i still stand my ground on that okay two movies here that i am going to definitely raise the uh scores on summer wars which i gave a 7 out of 10 bumping that up to a 9 out of 10 because i rewatched that movie recently it's [ __ ] amazing and suzumiya harukino which we also talked about in our latest podcast episode is an eight out of ten i'm gonna give it a nine out of ten again like both of these movies have not only aged absolutely fantastic but as a movie experience are just [ __ ] fantastic you're gonna sort of seven out of ten [Music] oh my god keep it in your pants joey although i do say that i'm not changing that score because that is one of my that is one of my guilty pleasures that and kisses is still my two guilty pleasures so hate me all you want i ain't changing that [ __ ] but yeah that's basically it for the completed shows um that's essentially you know weirdly enough uh how to really change the scores all that much i mean you know obviously the ones that you just saw in this video uh i changed the scores on but for the amount of shows that i watched back in the day and the amount of different score levels that i have given to all these shows surprisingly i still agree with a very large majority of them obviously i have to update this list with the shows that aren't on this list with the shows that i have watched since then uh so hopefully that'll be all finished by the time you guys are watching this video but uh yeah
