we've tested everything to make sure everything works but you know how live is something's gonna [ __ ] up you know how it'd be you know it'd be something's gonna mess up even if everything worked in preparation there's probably gonna be something that goes wrong and i think connor is fixing the volumes right now okay the volume should be good now okay okay perfect and i think we're just on the yeah so we are currently waiting for the anime awards to start at when when when's the scheduled start it's going to start in 25 minutes i think it says it starts at 9 45. so in about 10 minutes they because people are like bro connor's so close-minded for not giving other anime a chance to beat attack on time i don't i don't want them to because i've waited how many [ __ ] are you saying that someone commented on the videos right so close-minded fernando i don't think anything's going to come close to attack on titan right now but that's just because there's been no other anime that has had the same amount of build up that's the thing right it's the build-up it's a season people i mean this is this is a build up to a climax so i feel it'd be unfair to attack on titan and everything it's achieved to say that it's not the most hyped anime of the season i mean it's i mean it's just it's it's it's not really an unpopular opinion because it's just kind of facts you know although jujitsu kaisen is like hella impressing me like every single episode i'm like god damn i love this yeah i love it i should start watching that every time i think that like i'm in like as most in love with the show as i can be the next episode comes out and the animation's just so goddamn clean and everything's so good you're like all right i know everyone was like [ __ ] their pants over the latest episode right yeah i still haven't watched this episode because we just woke up so i haven't had a chance but i want you i want to i will watch it read you of a healer guys you guys are [ __ ] like i remember watching the second episode and seeing seeing the scene in the second episode i gotta give props to the voice actress because she did a really good job yeah a bit he's a little too these stars from season 1 2019 yeah yeah yeah yeah but since it got released on netflix in 2020 it counts as a 20 20 years that's so rough so that really messes up a lot of what i thought i would vote for because i thought for so many categories i thought oh easy winner i know what i'm gonna vote for yeah yeah then i forgot that b stars counted for this year but i bet a lot of the viewers did as well too apparently we crashed the routine i'm sorry guys i'm sorry the other anime that i can only think of 2020 other than b stars that i watched is azokin but is it gonna win an award i think i think it's like who knows it's like an anime critic favorite anime yeah it's like i really enjoyed it rotten tomatoes anime friends yeah isaac right yeah it's it's the one that will sweep the awards at the oscars or something yeah yeah you watch it and then you're just you just think you know i can see why people like it do i have any emotional connection to it not really yeah um yeah that's cool yeah for me i i finished asiken and i feel like watching the entire 12 episode run i feel like i got the most enjoyment in the first three episodes because i i i knew what i was trying to say i got my enjoyment and then i didn't get anything new after that yeah i watched i think i watched like halfway through and then i didn't finish it for whatever reason it did just i just i did feel like after i watched three episodes i was like okay i'm satisfied i've seen it yeah yeah yeah yeah and that that's that to me was what stopped again from being a great show because it is a good show it was like i gave it like a solid like eight out of ten yeah but it it was missing that like really really special moments later in the series to that you look back on and you will remember because i included yeah uh biggest nosedive as well i think for the last part of the but it's i mean [Music] i would say even the fourth arc is pretty damn good it's the conclusion to the fourth arm right right i mean before when i was watching the fourth arc it set everything up perfectly i was just like man this is gonna be a slam dunk we're gonna get a home run um it went from like ocean's 11 to mr bean in like in like it was the pacing of season one because i'm i'm i'm i'm one of those uh manga readers as you call it like yeah there's those superior margaritas and my problem with season one was that the pacing was just way too they literally speed right and everything so where were when i was reading the manga where i thought season one would end is literally like nine episodes in the first season so it's like the orca which is where the first season ended season two seems a bit slower paced which is good um considering what season two is going to be adapting is what i think is the best arc so far in slime yeah uh i've heard very mixed things about uh promised neverland season two yeah they differed from the manga they skipped and oh here's what i heard they skipped an entire arc in the anime but if you didn't know that you almost wouldn't realize it or is the ark unimportant or no no apparently it's what it's a fan favorite ah yeah oh it's a fan favorite margaritas are upset the margaritas are upset all right but it's it's we we have to we will have to see how it plays out it's kind of like a that's a risky strategy we'll see if it plays out because like i would love to have been in that board meeting how do they do that they're like are you sure you're sure so this is uh everyone's favorite [ __ ] so we don't know if it will come back to that arc later or what the [ __ ] going on um how would they come back to it though i don't know because i'm not a manga reader and they're not up to date with the eyes i don't know i unfortunately uh i went to the promised netherlands museum oh yeah and uh didn't know that it was essentially just all the chapters in order to go to the museum so i got very much spoiled on everything that's literally what happened to me at the attack on time so was when did the promised netherland manga officially end last year yeah it was last year because i think when i went it was like either like the week after it ended or like a month before or something like all i remember is that like i was just be like super emotional at the end and stuff at this museum and i was like what is happening what's going on june 15th last year okay yeah definitely definitely after that i was like oh no i'm like oh oh that person dead oh oh no this is sad oh no who is this this looks like mew what is this i'm like what the [ __ ] going on yeah i mean because have you read the manga at all because i i i've read the manga up until like probably up until like that that fan favorite arc but i just haven't finished that arc yet so yeah i don't know any i've only watched season one and considering the situation with season two so far i probably would just pick up the manga now there's two one was one of those shows where i'm like you know what i'm fine not knowing what happens i'm happy i'm happy with the show i feel like i'm just going to go read the manga now just because apparently season 2 is spoiled so yeah i don't know like i i feel like i should have liked promise neverland way more than i did not that i didn't like it but i've i remember going into it thinking man this is going to be easy top 10 of the year no no i mean what about ten of the videos i was like it was like i think in a lot of people's lists it was like one of the top ones last year and i i think i think that basically boils down to how amazing the anime was in the year that it aired and i think that's the only thing that really stopped it from being a top five show for me that year and that was literally because we had like attack on titan mob psycho b stars um jojo uh what else did we have as well vinlan saga god that was just a [ __ ] amazing year for anime now that i'm just remembering all these shows we had basically all last year like top anime in like oh like the year before and like this season yeah yeah we have like a year's worth of banger animes in one season like i have you started watching re zero uh this season i watched one episode and i was like i can't focus so what i'm thinking about is attack on titan i can't do it my energy isn't here it's not i'm not so there are so many like good shows that are just not getting talked about that just make me sad it's hard i mean how how do you compete right now i mean i'm enjoying a [ __ ] ton this season i'm i think like one drink priority i've really wanted to start but i'm just like i just it's one wonder egg i'm really enjoying the production quality of that is [ __ ] insane it's like i i think it's the best looking anime this year um well this year so far and that's the thing there's like so many good just amazingly well animated shows this year like mishka ten saying [ __ ] wonder egg looks [ __ ] amazing and obviously a tag on time goes without saying and then jesus kaisen obviously goes without saying like so many just beautiful shows this season god i want to watch the new episode so badly but i can't i go i saw on twitter so i posted a little clip of today uh yesterday's episode was yesterday i don't know what it was i think it was yesterday and i was like oh oh it looks so good that isn't like isn't it lucky for the viewers they get basically two episodes of trash chase in one day today yeah yeah right two goddamn many hope you finished the episode before you came to this stream i've done three streams in two days now i don't know how you do it there's too much sea dog out there i think we need to like have a little less of me you've basically been on camera for like the past 24 hours i'm just gonna i last tuesday um i was [ __ ] knackered i was too and then i saw we we went home i had dinner and i saw sea dog va goes live and i'm like what what kind of madman has energy after we just had this [ __ ] recording because like i was like i'm just i don't know why like i go in and out of being addicted to games and which i'm cripplingly addicted right now to apex as you guys know yeah and like i'm when i get home i just want to play it so i'm like if i have like 10 energy i'm like that's enough to stream it's all strange i wish i could get to that i mean to me if i i'm addicted to a game there's there's a difference between just playing a game and streaming a game yeah streaming streaming a game takes so much energy i think i don't know i've gotten to the point now where i kind of i enjoy it less alone than i do on stream i don't know how that happened it used to never be like that right but now i just like i like seeing like my chat like like watch me fail i like being backseated now isn't that weird really yeah i kind of do i feel that's a scary point of like no return yeah i'm gonna be like 50 years old i'm going to be like damn that was pog and then i'm like no one around but nobody's watching oh my wait i'm inside an insane a second oh yeah that's block you're gonna be calling your kids come here and sit and watch me play impacts watch me do this sick shot gonna just have kids so they can watch me play games so i can have an audience why aren't you on t1 yeah like i i've kind of realized from the brief times i've been streaming i could never become a streamer streamers streaming is just i just do not have the energy to constantly be on especially when there's a camera on um i'm fine with having a two hour recording session and trash chase every week that's that's good enough for me and if i stream that'll be something a bit extra right right i want to try and get more into it i just don't want to like you get phases right well yeah and also i just don't want it to get to the point where it becomes a job you know what i mean like that was that's the scary part right it's like anime that kind of happened to me with anime last year and the year before where not gonna lie i kind of got burnt out on that [ __ ] yeah i mean i i feel like especially last year um sorry just so sorry for the streaming hits different questions um yeah i feel like last year because of the world situation we just didn't get as many banger animes as we normally do and i feel like overall last year was pretty quiet compared to especially like the previous years that came before it and this year honestly it seems like everything big from that was meant to wear last year is airing now so we're getting we're going to get a bang a year of anime um 2020 2020 seemed to be have seemed to be sacrificed for 2021 not to say there were not any good shows last year but i feel like it definitely wasn't as talked about yeah you know it just just seemed kind of quiet you know especially the discussions around anime well all i want is chainsaw man to be adapted well and that's all i ask this year what is that have you read chainsaw man top three it is [ __ ] amazing but but i'm like a massive fan of fujimotoski like the creator from before because he did fire punch i've read fire punch is [ __ ] amazing did you find it amazing i thought it was [ __ ] awesome did you not like it did you did you finish it yeah i finished it oh okay yeah did it get a bit weird i don't know yeah it got yeah it was weird i remember it was it was pretty it was pretty badass yeah like the i thought the first half was amazing then it just went full end of either weird yeah it really did yeah i mean you know i did enjoy end of favor as well so i'm just like all right you know what not what i was expecting but i'll take it i still haven't watched any of the ava movies you probably should the fourth one's coming out this year yeah well i figured i would do like uh ava any percent speed run of like all the movies but you're gonna watch all the movies yeah just like when the fourth one's out before i watch it just like the night before watch like all the ones before sure why you saying like sure why you say it like that you're like you can try that it's a lot of information that's i mean it's not like i was going to pay attention to any of it anyway i just want you to know i just want to see like the pictures and the noises all together you know all right i want to watch it in the movie in japanese so i can be like bro even if i watch this in english i wouldn't understand what the [ __ ] happened honestly honestly the first two episodes no the first two reviews of ava are pretty mainstream pretty simple to follow and then the third movie happens and i think that was the real divisive movie thank you for the 20 did happen but like honestly we've gotten to a point now we've we've recorded so many episodes that i can't even remember yeah i'm [ __ ] awesome yeah i know we can't remember we talked we can't remember what we talked about just during an episode i need to [ __ ] i need to wake up today so today's episode i watched back last last night and i was like i don't remember talking about any of these some episodes i remember what we spoke about and some i don't i'll be at like the gym and i'll be listening to like trash taste and i'm like oh this is really good and i'm like wait this is just us [ __ ] talking why am i enjoying that's how you know how like autopilot we are sometimes we're just like let's just talk there's a microphone in front of us just talk yeah because i remember not even the episode but the previous test stream we did which somehow has 400k views on youtube it's got 500k it hasn't got 500k i remember because i that was just a complete test stream we weren't we didn't plan anything we were literally going to record for like half an hour or something or an hour i i think connor literally said oh we just record for like an extra 30 minutes and then we go in for an extra hour and a half yeah it's like a two-hour stream yeah and i remember watching it because i didn't know if we were going to upload it or what we were going to do with it and i remember thinking man this is a kind of getting into this and i literally just recorded this five minutes ago yeah it's literally just a free episode it's just a free episode yeah i think it's we had to read a bunch of wine so there's like an all you can drink oh you can drink wine for 90 minutes for what fifteen dollars yes near us and then we were like well it's like yeah we took cat uh ken can i have the is like duct taped together basically yeah the whole thing so so we had to figure out how to how to do like a trash taste stream because we didn't want just one camera we wanted as close to the three cameras of the usual trash taste episode as we could yeah um so we tried to look for a lot of solutions um in order to accompany not just three cameras but three dslr in 4k cameras yes this is all in 4k being downsized to 1080p so that's why it probably looks really nice if you guys are watching in like real-time source quality yeah so we're not using webcams here but the problem with that is most of it we had to buy very specialist broadcast equipment um which was some of the only solutions we could find and most of them didn't support 4k so what we ended up considering was having to buy what is it like a 12k switcher a 12 000 broadcast switcher because we had to do it in 4k it's like legit the stuff that they're using like the bbc no i don't know connor sent me the link and i was like holy [ __ ] this is the exact switcher we used in the bbc are we really gonna do this yeah of course i gotta mention the bbc of course but so i i was like come on there must be a better way so the setup we have now is james we are putting three cam links my laptop which is a razor blade and then i'm genuinely surprised that the stream didn't crash at any moment like all the cameras managed to like stay alive and they were served it was a lot cheaper than 12k yes i'm glad we figured out how to do it i'm just not fond of the setup though it feels real jank yeah and like before the stream started the middle camera just stopped working twice yeah we're like what the [ __ ] why jesus we're already a level four hype train already i'll never mind level five oh that's epic guys whoo scam
