Project Zomboid Build 41 IWBUMS Animations Update | Military Base Raid #8

all right it's gonna be getting now [ __ ] did it work holy [ __ ] I can't believe I'm not dead but that is how you section off the military base so one secret about Project Zomboid that's not even on the map project is that there's actually a military base just north or natchez north just west of rosewood now um how the hell am I gonna get in here there are so many more zombies here than in any other spot and it's really my god I haven't seen the desert camo is there's gonna be a lot to explore but for right now mmm does this one I have gas or a key it does have a key does it have gas mmm this one does not have gas okay we're gonna have to bail from this one and I'm gonna have to grab some gasoline from my own car and then get back in that van all right there's gonna be kind of complex probably the worst possible parking lot in in world history there's a [ __ ] ton of zombies mainly in the parking lot but I need to get them out of the parking lot er really I I don't even though but a lot of these ones have the gear I need I don't how could I possibly deal with this many even if I ran them over in my car I think that the car would probably break down and lose a wheel before before I actually even managed to do anything so I think I'm going to try to park two cars in front of the entrance and then just like basically gut the insides of the MIL base and then when we come out then I'll be able to deal with the ones out here but that doesn't happen unless if we can't get in so we got there's always like one stuck on my car it's like she's guarding it okay there we go I can't maybe with the van I could run over this many but otherwise I don't think that's gonna happen on any day let's try parking that van in front of the entrance if we can somehow get into it and then what we'll work on the inside from there and be right out from the frying pan into the fire we first we get a park to VIN and then assuming that the van doesn't break down trying to get out of the parking spot with the limited gas that we've got left yeah I'm gonna need to build up some momentum oh [ __ ] damn I gotta block the driver's side otherwise they'll come in and scratch me don't be don't be taking any bites out of me now get away from my [ __ ] van get away from my [ __ ] speak up the [ __ ] out of there I have no clue ow holy [ __ ] alright this is gonna be really satisfying three two one oh no they have way too much friction never mind okay all right let's just see if this works [Music] bang come on you gotta close up the entrance and very close there is that gonna work can they get past it oh [ __ ] oh no my ball sack is in oh yes oh [ __ ] did it work holy [ __ ] I can't believe I'm not dead but that is how you section off the military base all right I will I will take my leave now I don't even know if they're aggro'd towards me anymore but all that's left now is the meaty goodness that's inside of the base now there are still a lot probably at least this many in the base but the point is this are those desert camo pants jeez there's still so many around most of them are just in that like classic camel I figure that's where I'll end up rolling in but I can't I I don't want to I don't want to move the car right now we're gonna see what we can get inside of the base and then maybe when we come back out we'll see if we can if we can manage any of those ones over there now couple of problems with the military base you know other than the obvious good things that got a crap-ton of good stuff in it there are these sides did I forget to turn off the okay I forgot to turn off the engine let me just do that because otherwise I'm gonna be screwed when I come back please don't move the cart oh god there's even one with a motorcycle helmet on out there alright see you guys okay now we want to make sure that we don't aggro them from in the fields while we're in there so I'm gonna be pretty quiet when I'm in the base itself because there are a good number of other spots out here and I think there's a good number of them in the fields I don't want to deal with any more than I have to at a time hopefully no more than one or two at a time in each room even this entrance room looks like it might have a lot and I don't want to risk it so I'm gonna try not to make too much noise while I'm in here and I'm gonna need a shirt too I'm just gonna wait till I find sick camo uniforms though well I'm not really a big fan of you know decking out in full camo in every every spot I can it would be nice to have one camo item if that one's got exactly what I want problem with this area though now is that I can't actually I can't use the cars anymore at this point because I've got them parked out here and they're kind of you know occupy it in that spot hopefully I'm glad that this one came actually though because I did want this ones gear more than any of the other ones I just don't want yeah that already the number and the entrance Plaza is too many for me to deal with I could always hop the fence and try to get in through one of those windows if they do round up too many of them out here but I'm gonna go for the eliminations now see how many I can just take they're actually a lot of them heard me in the entrance Plaza right well as long as the windows are still intact and I've got only one door open maybe they'll be stupid enough to take on to take me on one by one why would I take the beret fur that wasn't the smartest thing yeah okay man it's like they're just lining up it's actually really good this is exactly I'd want them to confront me I'll take the camo pants because they're gonna be way better than my current ones I'm just gonna throw everything else on the ground cuz otherwise I'm gonna get way too encumbered I'll throw on the beret for the old freedom fighter look and damn they're starting to come through now but there's still a bunch of them pressed up against that door yeah all right a little bit longer maybe I could kind of like coax them into coming this way oh they are gonna break that door down pretty soon what I want them to do yes oh I thought he was gonna do it I want them to fall out of the windows so that I can take him on that yes like this guy there we go one two and [ __ ] too many ones too many wants fortunately now my axe skill is really good and I could pretty much get one-hit kills on them and that's getting to be too many damn I'm rocking like the Rambo look right here all I need is a machine gun oh damn I can't believe I'm getting so many more one shots with the axe now it's almost like I'm expecting one whenever I swing damn didn't expect I'd be this good with it this early it just kind of speaks to even though the fact you know even though the combat is so difficult early game you are gonna uh you are gonna level up with your best weapon class and you're gonna get way better with it alright let's see if we can grab a helmet we're gonna need a shirt I'm probably gonna take some beta blockers just because I'm gonna get really panicked throughout this even though that it's not guns but uh alright we got the first wave we got the entry Plaza and I don't even know how many there are in the rest of the base it could be a lot it could just be a few and even though I don't usually go out in the full camo I think I am I think I am gonna go with it for this time also is pretty good protection alright I get the beret even though are my boots bad off I'm just hoping I can find some soap in this goddamn military base fortunately I'm decently well protected from scratches now though so they can't just like wow we've even got like supervisor security zombies like military police or something it's way too dark in here though - I can hardly even see a thing I might have to wait till morning or lure them out or one thing I could even do at this point is once I clear out enough in the entry closet I don't think that they're coming for me I could sleep in the driver's side of my car only because that door is not exposed to that horde outside you know let's uh let's wait a little bit longer we'll rest up and then I'll make that decision alright I just cleared out a lot of the entrance Plaza and now it looks like that the coast might be clear because it's taking that life Adam eat it completely dismantle this place I mean just look at all the blood it was completely spotless before I got here but yeah at this point [ __ ] more coming out of the windows Jesus I gotta lead these ones through but I need water and right there is the water cooler can't even do anything about it I don't know if it's because I'm in this area I am starting to get movies from my backups and getting me some likes engines better but Oh get in the wave first I'm like I'm really mindful of every sound I'm gonna try to just walk over here as quietly as possible because all I need is a drink of water [Music] holy [ __ ] we gotta get out of there maybe we could just take on like these five and then get the water I'm so thirsty I'm so I'm so thirsty man all right let's get let's get the [ __ ] out of here we gotta go we gotta go I'm I'm on my last leg I can't I'm tired I can't I can't even fight anymore at this point I think I'm just gonna get back in my car and see if I could find some seat that's safe but I could just snap in cuz I turn I don't even know what else to do it looks like they cleared out the front too somehow it's like they all found some way into me okay a bigger problem than anything else at this point is that my weapon is now broken I didn't think it would use up my entire axe to go through this place but I really don't trust anything else at this point and I mean like half of me is like yeah it was kind of worth it for the bag but I have another idea I'm gonna try to nap in the car because it looks like this area is pretty remote now hmm actually I have an idea I'm gonna park my car up against a fence napping it and then I'm gonna do something terrible okay my last idea for taking out this base was I found with m1911 in the security desk so I'm gonna try to draw out all of the last zombies at least to one part of the of the base by shooting this off I don't think I'm gonna be able to kill a lot unless if I've horribly overestimate the number that I've killed already now unless if I'm horribly overestimating the number I've got I probably won't be able to take out the rest of the base with this the fog cover is nice but I don't think that it'll be enough all right so all we've got left to do is just reload this and then see if we can draw out all of the rest of them to the front all right it's gonna begin now they should all be coming to the front and okay green means go wait all right okay any chance try to bring out the rest of him come on come on I don't know if if a lot of them don't come to the front though then he'll be pretty much fine that means I've probably cleared out most of the place then oh [ __ ] you know what I'm settling for the backpack right now I'll come back later on when I can actually manage to take out the whole place I just got to see if I can find some gas and get out of here all I can say is holy [ __ ] I never imagined that there would be so many at the base like I I'm almost scarred I don't want to go back in I don't have and at this point I think it's foolhardy to go back in because I've got only like 23 bullets or at least like 500 left in there I mean I did find a creepy van in the front I found the bag I was looking for and now I know where to find camo I know where to find a shit-ton a camo but it doesn't even feel special to me anymore because I just I just fought so many camouflage zombies I think at this point we're just gonna see if we I mean like I siphoned the rest of the gasoline out of the cars just so that I could get out of there because it's so long to get back to Rosewood oh [ __ ] hot at the entrance to but I think that at this point it's better to go back to Rosewood find a house to sleep in and then tomorrow because it's it's 10:50 a.m. but I mean I need more visibility just to be able to fight them I'll need to arm up in Rosewood and then come back because I kind of want to get away from the glitchy warehouse to be honest and I don't know if it's gonna be here but I know I'm gonna find a lot of the stuff that I need in that military base if I really want to make a living for myself either that or we'll just find some house out in the woods and live there but I mean there's no way I'm going through the rest of this without going to that military base and completely clearing it out now I'm like dead set on it so I've kind of been thinking over all of my decisions and choices and I decided that I vastly underestimated the number of zombies and the extent of the exhaustion that I would experience at the military base so I think what I'm gonna try to do instead is to pull this apart in like a three-part operation instead of going straight at the military base because I think I'm gonna get myself killed if I do that and more again I think instead I'm gonna go to Rosewood I'm saying this as I'm doing the war's possible driving I'm gonna go to Rosewood I'm gonna go live in the police and in the fire department for a little while because the fire department is a safe place it's good it's second floor it's got decent armaments in it and then from there you can kind of work your way into the police department you get armed from there and then you might even go to the prison after that because the prison might also have arms in it to protect against like prison riots and stuff and guard towers and so on so I think that we're gonna we're gonna go to the firehouse Police Department prison and then military base once we do that then we'll have all the guns and then only then will we be done so it begins here at the fire department oh yeah I forgot that I don't have a weapon I look dope as [ __ ] we can find us a fire axe in the upper floor to replace the one I lost I still can't believe how good our character got with fireman's axe I was it kind of broke my heart when that thing broke is you know you can get exhausted you can sleep in your car but you can't do much if you have a broken axe I feel like single like you go through situations like that and it makes single zombies just seem like a nuisance the firefighters pants yeah the firefighters pants actually are better than the military ones so I think I'll grab those I look like some sort of public service like genius like I've been in all of the things I've been in the fire department the military I've been in the police yeah same thing here okay oh she's got the jacket too I think the jacket is actually gonna be better than the current one I've got better than the military camo I'm equipped to like defend our nation while fighting fires now Oh actually duct tape did I bring the ax with me or did I leave it in my car back there I may very well have left it in my car back there out of despair great despair look I have to get better with new weapon glasses like the crowbar though I do want to stick to one let what a weapon class as much as possible I think it might have been better if I had picked Spears Spears tend to break a little bit faster than axes we found that bandages ah yes good this is the infirmary area actually he's gonna replace everything that I lost and I did bring a second military bag with me too right let's go upstairs because they actually have the eats up there and I was hoping I'd find a fire axe somewhere around here too no not in there not in there you got beds yeah this place hasn't made it's a good place to start from and I doubt I'm really gonna be able to find that many guns in the police department just because I've noticed at least in this builds a lot of the police departments have guns but all the ammo is gone I guess it makes sense like law enforcement used all the ammo in the in the catastrophe that was ensuing unfortunately all the perishables are gone now - all right we can take what we we've got left out of these taps though unfortunately Rosalyn the whole slew of taps left for me to try okay how do how do a v8 or glasses get that I guess they get my sweat all over them or something try this eat up well we still can throw all my other stuff in my backpack I probably won't need any guns or anything for a while I will keep some of the camo with me but I don't think it's gonna do me as much good and anymore at this point all right let's see if we can get to the police department now yeah after a little rest just a rest there without asleep okay time to get us I was gonna say an assault rifle but III don't think that those are even working yet yet maybe someday soon oh I feel so much better now that I can actually use my strength in combat again and I'm not you know forced into God it's like starting a whole new it is starting a whole new weapon class again I might even be better off with bare hands just wrangling them you know there actually is a sport called shin kickin where people just kick each other's like they put hay in their pants and they just okay this one I don't want to place shin kick in with you hmm if I could find a baseball bat I'd be much better off I feel like this stealth hardly even matters anymore at this point though after I went through all that bull just to get kicked out how that hurt me inside though there was no way I could get back into that military base all right let's see if we could just fight a few of these caps there we go cap zambese and the short blunt classes is not one I excel in but I probably could have spent more time at the beginning of the series trying to improve for five that's two minutes though I have started to notice that it seems like there's some kind of optimal distance for the act I would be surprised if it's there for every single weapon class these guys around so that I can just go straight to the guns I don't really even want to fight them right now Wow maybe bulletproof windows here but not hammer proof and let's see do you have guns in here nope no guns or ammo this is the one time I've felt good that uh-oh good thing that we got out of there I was gonna say usually I don't like those security doors but this time they may have saved my life all right let's see if we can go in the other way and it didn't work I'm back here at the fire department I think I think we need to set up a new base camp in Rosewood this is becoming more of an operation that I have even expected that it would be I was hoping that I would just be able to swing by the military base grab a few things and then leave or that I would honestly didn't even expect it to be so populated so I think at this point we may as well dig in I mean it's only August 21st it's not like we're gonna be dealing with any cold or any other elements for a while so I think I'm gonna try to find an axe in one of these garages cuz it doesn't seem like the fire department has much no maybe some of these lockers no it seems like they have school supplies and the lockers or something I'll see what we can do maybe one here screwdriver okay I'll take that we're gonna have to set up a new base camp sort of in Rosewood though and then fire Redpoll and then after that uh I guess we'll try to go on to the prison I finally got the peace and quiet I'm looking for I think I'm pretty much this gonna shack up in here for the night and for all the future nights they were knocking on my door strangely enough I had a police Sambi knocking on my door in the middle of the night almost like the police department was trying to alert the fire department of something but this was not the case there's just a dead guy trying to kill me so I'm going to problem hopefully sleep now yeah there he is look at him came right to my bedroom so now I'm going to bed it's incredibly dark I'll just rest at this point but I need daylight I need daylight at this point and then I'm gonna check garages and the police department to see if I could find armaments and I don't know guns guns axes anything I can use to clear out that place but I'm gonna need something that'll help me take on either the the military base or the prison which I'm gonna need a lot for that all right we're almost in the police station armory now there's gonna be just phase one but that's probably enough so I think I'm gonna end it here and we'll just see what loot we managed to find in this area I mean if nothing else the trip to the military base increased my like mobile inventory space now we have an inventory space of 30 I think that the big hiking bad bag had only a space of 22 so this is much better holy whoa I'd never expected to find one of these a nightstick probably not that good though I cuz they're meant to be like non-lethal or something and we did find a regular actually I'm curious to see what this looks like it's very similar to the big hiking bag okay still good still good box of shotgun shells I'll also grab that's not bad I think I'm better off with my spear though somehow a deep wow I haven't even seen this de pistol 44 Magnum actually we have a lot more use for we know we had 45 okay so and 2 to 3 I've know if there's anything in the game that takes 2 to 3 right now though m9 there we go and another nice stick I guess I'll grab the night sticks in case if I can't find any better weapons but at this point I'm probably just better off using the hunting knives finding some Spears in the woods and then crafting that or I could just use planks actually yeah I could craft those into several different things we still be useful I think at this point that's still not really enough to take on the prison or the military base but we do have more weapons that we could actually go to the military base with and I found a lot of ammo at the front of the military base I'm kind of worried that my beard will get stuck in like the security bars I might want to shave that too on the way there but now we've got axe skill going up blade maintenance is going up which is always good so we don't get more axe breakage I guess that this must be yes spear the only things we haven't really seen are blade things we saw have yet to find katana or something like that but hey it's still in the cards anyway I think I'm probably gonna drop off all my stuff and then let's just see if we can find like a garage here in rosebud someplace that's gonna have an axe I think that would be the last thing I would ask an axe is the last thing I would ask and then after that we'll go to prisoner back to the military base I can't even decide at this point all right I think I'm just gonna hold up in one of these houses at this point there's still a few zombies here but whatever zombies we find in residences don't seem [ __ ] this one is I fear zombies like that like the ones that like most of them I don't worry about but when they start like not dying when I'm stabbing them then I start to get really worried I did find a lot of overalls on a farm pretty recently too if you're looking for overalls because they are good for defense and they just look kind of like Survivor II you could go to a farm just south of Rosewood I found a lot of like people working in the fields you got up so fast well finish off these ones we'll see we can find an axe in a garage and then I think I'll go to bed okay at this point I found some stranger's house and I think I'm just gonna sleep here for the night I did manage to find some soap in here so I can probably wash a lot of my clothes though I'm I had a what I think I'm running out of water yeah no I I have soap I don't need soap I guess I need more soap in order to wash myself who did okay um at this point we do a lot for today we went to we went to a military base has actually been several days and I mean to update you on this my character has been alive for a month and a half now and I'm starting to think about the changing of the seasons winter I've killed 530 zombies two favorite weapon bare hands somehow I think that over there on the right and our sprite our character looks less bloody than in real life but uh I think I gotta get rid of the beard think I think I you do with a little bit less camo this is a bit too much camo but you know it looks cool and then I'll probably try the head over - we won't hit anywhere we gotta find another axe before we get started on prison or the military base again either that or we deserve to become some sort of like spear wielding like a tribal tribal warrior before we go back in but let me know what do you think if you have any other ideas or if you happen to know the location of a katana everybody could use the katana because that's that's really the two things that we're lacking short blade and long bail yeah long blade from was nocturnal who's another youtuber I don't know if he's making videos right now but he first tipped me off to the location of the secret military base Here I am on the project zomboid map project also put a link to this below but off here just south of rosewood in this section there is a farmland over here and you can take a road that's actually right here that it's it's not displayed because I guess that hasn't been updated yet but there's a massive military base somewhere around I think it's all the way out here because it does have a connection to this road that goes to the west of Rosewood don't quote me on that but nocturnal actually shows you how to get there in a video which is I mean I got lost several times on the way so let you kind of figure that out but yeah it is there and that's where I made most of this video it's in vanilla Zomboid really cool feature and one that a lot of people don't know about anyway be sure to thank them and as always I will see you
