this was a [ __ ] mess what's up fellow crackheads i've been getting a request to do this a lot so i'm thinking it's about time i make my own damn fiverr page i had a gig that i was making it was like a boyfriend on fiverr right i think i know i say this a lot okay but this time really i have this insane idea and i want to see if we can pull it off i'm sure a lot of you know there's like a lot of mind focused oh yeah it's me making a fiver page and they just would not let me make my five gig which was uh be your pretend online british boyfriend it was a dumb idea i'll admit but this time i'm gonna do it on my main account only on main who cares what i'm going to do on fiverr it's very simple it was staring right in front of me this whole time why did i think it was a good idea to be a boyfriend that's not what i'm good at obviously what i'm good at is voicing dumb so that's what a five vehicle be me just doing voice acting stuff now i i'm not gonna share my five gig out in the start we'll see what happens and you know when a week passes by and we've had like no orders i'm gonna shout it out on my twitter and we'll see what kind of cesspit orders i get so i've never made a gig on fiverr successfully all right let's make this gig what makes a successful fiverr profile i think i would know i've ordered from many what to steer clear providing any misleading information shouldn't be a problem i am the number one voice actor on earth i need a picture of me one that screams professional okay okay that's professional share a bit about your work experience cool projects you've completed and your area of expertise i have been voice acting for a number of years from professional corporate businesses all the way to yaoi audiobooks if you need a british voice look no further fantastic basic my english level is basic select occupation viral videos what does that even mean i will be the voice of your dreams audiobook dubbing impersonation tv i guess what's my voice tone i would say very calming sexy oh i don't mind if i do dramatic yes awkward who would describe their voices all good but okay uh and corporate drivers rolled out some important changes to the pricing and structure of voiceover gigs enter how many words are included in your basic offer there's no need to include too many your quote to buyers will automatically adjust based on other factors you define below you can also bundle an hq wave file into your basic offer i hate the fiverr does this if you're hiring someone to do voiceover and they charge you extra to give you a [ __ ] wav file are you kidding me it's like you wouldn't commission someone to give an art piece for you and then take a screenshot you know what i mean it's [ __ ] absurd i'm not doing more than 50 words zero revisions you get no no revisions five bucks there you go yeah you know what i include the hq web file you know why because i'm not an [ __ ] i would listen to all the voice over artists out there that are uh professionals you should never be charging this low for your services this is very very low and i'm doing this for a video so i don't want to rip people off add questions and answers for your buyers is this real yes publish gig it's live baby interesting thing curiosity we can learn from it we can die from it and sometimes it can lead us to places we never imagined we could reach i don't really have a plan for this video just making it and hoping that it goes well obviously i feel that being in the position that i'm in i imagine things will go a little different for me than most on fiverr look at me being like oh i'm so better than all of you i'm going to get so many gigs but i had to guess just off search algorithms alone i imagine my gig is not going to pop up on any of them i think what might happen is that someone finds my gig and posts it in like a discord server or whatever and if someone's like let's see if it's legit all right so it's the 20 second today i'm gonna leave it for like four or five days maybe like a week i'm gonna guess that i get no orders in that time at that point i will nudge it a little bit i'm not gonna post on twitter or anything i'm if i even boil we'll see i mean so far it does seem like the majority of the orders though are coming from the fact that it's me and not because i'm a voice actor so i wonder how hard you know you'd have to market it on your own like how how hard would you have to push it to really get orders going because because so far it feels like if you don't have a way to get yourself on the front page immediately i don't know what you're gonna do hi it's day 31 of our fiverr seller adventure i found out that our last order was uploaded to instagram and they said i found out that cdo vader fiverr so i commissioned him to do whole horse lines and i'm incredibly happy with how they turned out like honestly this made my week hope you guys enjoyed as much as i do and then someone was like excuse me what like crazy i know the five gig was only seven dollars man people doing promo for me let's listen to how it gets listen some people may put you down and try to ruin your day and destroy your or something it was very odd let me have a look at this sexy audio stories that spark your imagination and get you in the mood oh so they wanted me to record for their air and they were going to give me three to four dollars a minute it just sounded like a lot of work they wanted me to do either two hour to three hour plus scripts i would make a lot of money uh but i feel that it's kind of underselling the quality of my services you know i'm here for memes not for porn all right it's day 33 and we have another order so i think our fiverr page might be picking up some steam uh this is matteo from math media we are looking for voice actors for a commercial video for a big technology company you would need to double character and record line's lip sync the character we are also looking for you to dub is a lecturer from the university that is teaching a course on old symbols right so i guess this is like a semi-serious audition so i guess i should try and not sound like [ __ ] now that is a real mystery that scientists have been trying to decipher for years i'm gonna let them know that this is my audition i'm happy to voice it but my my rate would be different depending on how what their commercial usage is for commercial work is a little weird because it's not treated the same as other types of work in voiceover so for example this person who wanted to hire me yes my fiverr gig is five dollars but i actually wouldn't do this for five dollars i wouldn't want to sell myself short and neither should you you know in a voiceover studio situation if if i'm promoting something or for a commercial i'll get the session fee which is the payment that they're paying me for my work at that point in time and then they also should be paying me a buyout fee or a licensing fee to actually then use my voice worldwide to promote their product it doesn't work the exact same way with everything for example if you're voicing an anime you know in la you'll get sag after so you so you may get residuals but it doesn't really happen for anime sometimes it does in games but and you normally hear this in movies with the really big actors they get residuals so it's a way of paying really big people uh hey you can have a percentage of the profits if the movie does well because we don't want to pay you much right now basically all you need to know is if this project does come through and these people want to hire me i'll show you guys the process of how that goes you know and how all the licensing and buyout fees go because i think that's really interesting okay that's been day 50. probably gonna start wrapping this up soon i'm getting kind of bored of having to do this five every other day it's very long video so far but yeah okay that's that all right bye-bye love you rise up gamers we have the climax of this video series we have the big boy we have a 300 order now you might might have remembered that i auditioned for a project from a someone who scouted me out to dub over a commercial and i figured okay well uh this ad they later informed me was just gonna be played online and obviously not gonna credit me as whatever i'm just a voice in this so i would probably just charge my normal studio fee which is probably like 50 to 100 just for doing the voice work and then an additional 200 for using my voice however they please in this commercial so overall i charged them 300 and they accepted i just really really want a preface to the young voice actors out there when you're doing commercial gigs please don't sell yourself short i know that you're probably thinking well if i don't take this gig for ten dollars someone else is gonna get it for five please just don't do commercials if they're not gonna charge you properly or you're not gonna get what you're deserving uh because if you're doing a commercial that ends up being played in front of 10 million people and you got paid 10 that is a [ __ ] crime and and it's honestly it is better to just not do it because at the end of the day if you keep taking roles for like 10 that should be 300 you're perpetuating to these companies that oh well if this professional doesn't want to do it we can probably hire someone else who is professional enough to do it for ten dollars so anyway they accepted the 300 um thing and they sent her the script uh there is one two three four lines for us to do and we have to match lip flaps uh very very much harder than anime actually here's another quick tip while i'm remembering some people when they record audio most studios will want you to have both headphones on the reason is because if you have the headphone off i can bleed now if you're like me most studio headphones are playing back your audio in real time if i hear my voice in both of my ears at the same time i actually like can't focus and can't read it picked me up so i have to put one ear just behind my ear and have it like cup my my head just so it doesn't bleed and i do that a lot even with uh listening to audio i need to hear my audio naturally through ania and to the headphone with other just a little like quirky thing that you might have to deal with uh because i do let's move on to the next symbol which is a real mystery that scientists have been trying to decipher for years the only thing we know for sure is that it was probably very present all around the world i bet it looks super weird seeing my voice come out of this dude's mouth as it doesn't match at all but trust me if you didn't see this video and you saw this ad on tv you probably wouldn't notice that it was dubbed over it's just because you know me and what my face looks like i think we did a good enough job i'm not terribly confident in this but i'm exhausted with this one this one took way longer than i thought it would when you're dubbing real life lip flaps as opposed to anime it's so much harder because anime it's just but in real life there's shapes to the mouth you really need to match it but anyway i'm gonna go this has been day 59 i'll see you guys in like two or three days bye gamers welcome it's day 63 of being a fiver seller and our final day now i wouldn't let this go out with a bang i didn't want to let it fizzle out so i did something extremely dumb as i had mentioned previously in this video i was planning on tweeting out that i did this now i didn't realize how many people were gonna order from me in about 20 minutes uh 50 people ordered from me and i decided okay realistically 100 orders in one day is probably the limit that i can do before i start to sound like a deflated crumpet so i maxed it out at 100 and we got 100 fiverr orders in less than one hour less than one hour so needless to say i am the number one seller on fiverr right now right so what we're gonna do is just go in order i guess and do all of these all right let's just start with the first one [Music] and of course right away problem i don't know if they want me to read this or not this doesn't seem like a script it seems like them telling me about the script that they didn't attach all right well great start in your best hisoka can you do that's right gone my i said three plus hours i really really want to sleep so what i'm going to do is i'm going to go to bed and i'm going to give you my final thoughts on all of this when it's all wrapped up and i'm all done and i'm all completely done and all the orders have been accepted and everything and it it's all gone for now i'm going to knock them out i'll see you guys in like one day or one second welcome it's been like five days after i know something it's been something we're done we've finished this fiverr gig we have 105 stars 100 look at that boom before we finish up this video i thought it would be great to read some of the best reviews i received as a fiverr seller and then i'll give you guys my final thoughts bro moment five stars connor is always satisfying my needs better than expected five stars i could pretty much die happy now five stars i didn't really have an idea of what i wanted to do with this video like everything i do i just press record and see what happens so i think if i can show to you guys anything being a voice actor is simultaneously hard and easy sometimes you're thinking wow i did all this for five dollars and then sometimes you're also thinking wow i did all of this for five dollars i know a lot of you might be watching this and thinking wow connor made 500 in one day from voice acting with the amount of orders that i did i was vastly underpaid for what i should have been doing like i should have gotten triple what i i i got for that and some of the stuff you know like there is one project that's going to be used in a game for example that's not worth five dollars assuming it gets published it might be played worldwide and i'll have only been paid five dollars for that it probably won't be but it could be i think due to how fiverr works it really forces people to charge way less if they want to be ordered because everyone is competing against everyone and it kind of makes this environment where voice over talent aren't really getting paid the amount they should be getting paid like i don't think anyone should be getting paid five dollars for any any kind of audio like this you're probably thinking well connor it only takes you like 10 seconds to do some of them it takes me 10 seconds to do some of them because i've been doing this for years to get the same level of quality from your friend tim down the road he's gonna have to train two years buy a 1 000 microphone get a good interface learn how to use adobe audition learn how to not [ __ ] suck at doing that and then give you the order i do think the five voice actors are kind of forced to charge less and then on top of that i really disagree with how much five it takes they take 20 but they also charge a service fee it kind of feels like double dipping like they charge the customer extra and then they take from the creator as well i don't care about it for my money but i would be really pissed off if fiverr was my main source of income and they were taking 20 for a service that barely functions i would say if you're a voice actor don't use fiverr as your main source of income i think that it's really important to diversify and do other things like just getting well connected on twitter and doing any other websites is much better than this i think fiverr is great for beginners and a very select few of the top who are able to charge what they want but in between that middle area i genuinely don't think it's worth it and i think a lot of people are getting uh kind of ripped off i had fun doing this but if i had to do this day in day out i'd go insane obviously my orders were probably quite different from normal orders i mean i'm not sure how many fiverr voice actors normally get meme stuff maybe it's just because i'm on fiverr and i'm the one buying it all the time i think the dubbing project that i worked on was a really good example of make sure that you charge adequately like 300 for that is fine i totally forgot that fiverr was gonna take 20 of that so i probably would have charged more what am i gonna do with the money i'm sure some of you are thinking it's gonna stay in my fiber account and we're gonna spend it on more fiber
