Hard Mode is BRUTAL! Palworld Nuzlocke Challenge Run

welcome to the pal World Nuzlocke a challenge run with perade where if any of my pals are koed they're gone forever and if my character is ko'ed all Pals in her party at the time of death are lost forever too we just finished upgrading our base with help from our Pals this is Ace our lamb ball he's a little clumsy but he's doing his best Courage the Cowardly kataa is trying really hard to earn a better title and agent klucky is much bigger and much stronger than any other chiap I've ever seen she's a bit protective and it makes me feel just a little bit safer out in the Wilderness our team is steadily growing and there's always room for new friends and hold on I'm actually really excited I see a mpaka back there let me bring agent clucky out real quick Mel pacas have a really fast traveling projectile so this is going to be kind of sketchy that way I can leave you guys at home to keep you safe when I'm out fighting there goes our Shield I think we've got this though we just got to get this HP low o now we've got this is so if we get KO we won't drop them that's losing them forever oh god that hurt we got to catch this thing now all right it's escaped no no no that's it everyone's gone Ace agent clucky courage they're all gone we have to rebuild there's nothing we can do but move on I was able to throw out one last pal sphere in the final moments of that battle so we did catch the melpa I'm going to call him Rampage I know it wasn't really his fault but it's kind of hard for me to separate him from what happened in that battle still it's nice to finally have a mount you can do mounted combat in this game and it's pretty cool you can use all of your Mount skills and each Mount has different properties like speed or jump Knight I'm going to catch this kemist real [Music] quick she kind of looks like a Griselda to me you you know she's just got one of those Griselda faces anyway today I'm going to leave some Pals behind in the PO box so I don't lose them if you know normally I wouldn't fight this I 3er he's pretty strong but at this point I've got nothing to lose oh God okay this guy hurts I know what I said but I don't want to lose Rampage I can't even hope to catch this guy until I get his HP lower and I'm on my own honestly the combat system in this game feels really good positioning Battlefield awareness and stamina management are all super important and I feel like it gives me a lot of chances to flex my gamer skills ooh okay I'm naming him Cosmic as in the scale of the horror I experienced while fighting him since he's the first pal we've caught of this species we can use him as an ally in battle but we're in need of resources to continue rebuilding so I'm assigning him to do some logging at the base now it would be a lot easier to gather wood and stone if we didn't have to wait for trees and boulders to spawn inside the perimeter of the base we can build a stone pit and logging Camp to make that possible but we need wood and stone to build them in the first place so I'm going to have Rampage take me out on a foraging trip we're up a little late everybody's sleeping already I kind of want this Daydream but I don't want to wake everybody up let's just try to be quiet Rampage oh no yeah they're all awake oopsy dpsy plus side we caught the Daydream I spent a lot of time trying to come up with a perfect nickname for her I hereby dub the purle Sun's Up Stone pits up I'm going to go exploring with Rampage there's a leaf monk Effigy across the river Rampage can carry us across oh no he can't jump high enough to get onto the shore wait can we drown oh God never mind we're fine we just had to Dismount and climb up on our own I figured you wouldn't be able to drown in this game yeah no oh God Rampage Rampage I can't believe it he was just starting to grow on me too the game audio in this section was kind of glitchy in a really unpleasant way so I'm just going to insert some music that communicates how I felt after letting Rampage [Music] drone I named The Leaf monk that we caught here salad because salad is a very funny name we also fought and caught a feisty little tant I named him toti because he's a little toot to boy everybody's finished building the logging camp now that we're home but we're headed right back out to gather more materials this game might come across as pretty grindy with all the Gathering we're doing and I guess it kind of is but the actual process of the grind it's itself is so fun that I found myself weirdly relieved by the slow pace of the progression it's not like G I have to go out and get more wood it's more like oh time to go find new friends [Music] I named this one tux come here tux oh right back to business huh we've never been up this hill before this place looks cool there's some Pals we've never seen before I think we can catch one wait what's toti shooting at looks like an ambush these Syndicate poachers must have been waiting to mug anyone following the trail lucky for me toti's got my back there's edible mushrooms all over this place I actually really like mushrooms but I've never forged my own before I've never forged my own bacon either let's see how tux does in her first battle the audio starts glitching again here so I'll replace it with some analogous ambient sounds from this area in game this game honestly has really good Ambience the scenery is already gorgeous and the little audio details add so [Music] much anyway Tux did a great job we caught one of the rores that we fought too she has the Burly body passive skill which gives her 20% additional defense I'm naming her gristle since she's tough there's apparently a small settlement over here I'm going to use the Fast Travel point there there to teleport home I'm not super worried about raids anymore like look tux has got [Music] this good girl tugs come on little closer come on come on come on little little closer n she's ready to get right back to business again oh uh speaking of business I want to go back to that small settlement before it gets too dark one of the merchants there is selling crafting recipes for hats which could give us a little extra armor and at the moment I think the biggest threat to our party is me getting ko'ed and tux seems to agree with me there she's been helping me gather materials for the armor all morning I don't think she lacks confidence in my abilities it's just that at this point risk management is really important but we can't be serious all the time rest is important too so I'm thinking of building a hot spring we're going to need some of the Mystic water that comes from water type Pals and penit is one of the easiest water types for us to find right now they have this flying icicle attack that homes in on you it's kind of scary by the way be careful when dodging that one if the icicles don't break on impact with an object or the ground they'll just keep going and going and going oh man look at these guys fighting I know I'm at a safe range but it's still making me nervous just watching this I think we have enough water now so I think we'll head home dude we just got here and there's another raid this time it's a herd of wild Pals I've never fought these before oh man that attack is scary you deal so little damage on your own in this game and on the default hard mode settings I think your character deals 20% less damage anyway I kind of like having to rely on my pals for damage though the game just wouldn't feel right if I was able to solo everything without Pals anyway I think purle has been hit the hardest by the stress of the run so far she's been doing a lot of crafting to keep herself busy we've at least got the hot spring belt now purle definitely gets first dibs wait did she spend all night in there well so begins a new day I guess another day with new friends another day in memory of the friends we lost another day to survive hey there if you had a good time with this episode
