as promised [Music] ah it was worth living without it for three long days [Music] i'd rather carry it myself george you're not gonna wear your hat no i want to keep it perfect till tonight we're going to the opening of the new planetarium dome [Music] hmm [Music] [Music] thanks let's get home before anything happens to my perfect clean hat [Music] [Applause] [Music] well we made it safely [Music] okay now george when i get back we're going right to the planetarium so take a bath [Music] there'll be photographers there i want you to look clean and fluffy george was going to take a bath just like he was told [Music] it sure was a perfect hat who could resist trying it on [Music] george wanted compass to see him in the yellow hat it'd only take a second [Applause] [Music] george saw the hat fly this way but it disappeared [Laughter] [Music] the hat was back home and still perfect almost george removed the piece of branch as carefully as any surgeon working on any yellow hat could okay there was just a tiny thread there no problem maybe he needed to pull harder or maybe it had to be cut off [Music] [Music] george had forgotten that the last time he used his safety scissors was to cut his strawberry jam and banana sandwich [Music] it was only a small smudge all he had to do was clean it off [Music] this stiff brush got the grill sparkling like new every time and the grill got dirtier than the hat [Laughter] [Music] he may have scrubbed too hard there were only two things that could get george to take a bath bubbles and sproingy the most awe-inspiring toy frog that ever lived and the best bubble maker george ever met a bath just wouldn't be a bath without them [Music] [Music] i wonder what this belongs to oh george i found your lost boat in the freezer you know george if you were a little more careful with your toys you wouldn't lose so many of them [Music] [Laughter] you almost ready to go to the park [Music] hey aren't you glad we found your boat george george [Music] charkie wanted to play in the mud too wow [Music] hey george what do you say we go home and grab some lunch maybe you should try and clean up a little bit before we go [Music] [Applause] [Music] we could be here all day doing this you can clean up at home george [Music] okay george lunch is ready george you have to get cleaned up before you can eat just take a quick bath i'll wait [Music] there were only two things that could get george to take a bath bubbles and and springy the frog george wondered where he could be george george what is taking so long [Music] you're tickling me look i know you took a bath already this morning but you're muddy george no hey look at all the fun bubbles [Music] you see [Music] there was no way george could take a bath without springy who had to be around here somewhere george [Music] and there was no way george was going to admit he lost another toy [Music] who had to be here somewhere [Music] george [Music] george one great thing about living in the country is fresh dairy products [Music] morning mr ankins and to george one great thing about fresh dairy products was the cows [Music] hmm leslie sure likes you well happy cows give more milk so please stay as long as you like does that sound like fun george okay remember be a good little monkey [Music] george really like cows [Music] no one else he knew was that big that friendly and gave milk [Music] huh it seemed like jumpy squirrel must have had food stored everywhere [Music] wild flowers [Music] george had never seen so many colors anywhere else but in his crayon box and they smell better than crayons [Music] george wanted to share his discovery after all who doesn't like to smell nice flowers [Music] [Music] george tried telling her to be a good little cow [Music] leslie obviously didn't speak monkey so george tried to speak cow [Music] [Applause] [Music] more cows were coming [Music] maybe this whole field had once been filled with beautiful flowers and they'd already eaten the rest george had to act fast before these flowers became a big bovine buffet [Music] unfortunately cows don't understand arrows he tried to distract them by juggling apples but the cows ate his act so george borrowed an old scarecrow and turned it into a frightening scare cow [Applause] [Music] when spring is in the air there's nothing a monkey likes more than a spring in the air [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] to keep his lobby orderly hundley always kept a close eye on george [Music] [Applause] [Music] i wish i had your energy george [Music] just watching george made hundley tired [Music] hello professor wiseman hi what do you have george your favorite kind of dinosaur [Music] oh that's your favorite but they're the same those are the bones that would be inside that huh you know same as the bones in you [Music] feel your arm the hard part that's bone it's your skeleton [Music] now that he knew he had one of those under his face george had to see the t-rex skull up close george don't it isn't safe [Music] oh are you okay [Music] george always wanted to ride in an ambulance but he couldn't really enjoy it at the hospital dr baker decided they needed to see george's leg bone by taking an x-ray that's a small break we have to put your leg in a cast now this cast will keep your leg from moving while the bone heals [Music] hey that looks like george hundley knew what to do when he heard that name he got ready to defend the dignity of his lobby [Music] oh little guy is he all right oh yeah but he's gonna be out of action for weeks no jumping no noise hundley wasn't so sure this was george well hello [Music] you have a visitor george [Music] it was george all right no one else in the building smelled like that hello hundley come up here yeah we're in george's room you know in the lobby hundley pays more attention to george than anyone that's friendship bruh hundley could keep george company when you go to work i'd excuse him from his lobby duties george would you like hundley to be your monkey sitter [Music] george was conducting an important experiment testing the bounce factor of the living room [Music] furniture this part of the couch made a different sound that wasn't the couch it sounded big it sounded heavy and it came from up there [Laughter] [Music] you must have heard our new neighbor walking around he moved in last week what george had heard seemed heavier than footsteps what are you doing [Music] oh george you must have heard our neighbor walking that's all it could be it's not like he's got some wild animal up there [Music] the man with the yellow hat lived with george so why couldn't the new neighbor live with an animal what kind [Applause] [Music] [Music] of course the new neighbor had brought home an elephant [Music] the man with the yellow hat had to hear this [Applause] [Music] george [Applause] you dreamt about an elephant [Music] [Laughter] [Music] oh [Music] oh um no more nature books before you go to sleep george they're obviously giving you strange dreams this is better bedtime reading the happy sleepy monkey [Music] [Laughter] this new sound certainly wasn't an elephant walking around it was an elephant that was doing what [Music] ah [Music] oh boy i didn't sleep at all last night [Music] huh [Music] [Music] george never realized there were so many sounds in the world he'd never listened hard enough wow [Music] that was the balcony to the apartment upstairs where the new neighbor lived with his elephant the day started with a wham wham wham lots of people heard it but only one was so curious he had to go see what it was [Music] [Music] wow pretty impressive construction site huh george [Music] that's what it'll look like when they're all done my hat stop my hat anybody [Music] [Music] so [Music] these metal boxes looked important metal on the outside tasty sandwich inside with all this great equipment to see george didn't want to waste time on food [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] machinery's more fun when it's nice and loud [Music] now you see there it goes again why is my building groaning and quaking i think the ground under the foundation is shifting but i can't figure out where or why i want this place to be safe we'll have to shut the site down until we find the problem [Music] george george get down that's not a playground [Music] hey buddy this your monkey [Music] and is this your cat yeah no but i am i i know her oh not good cat well looks like lunch is on me [Music] the next morning the man with the yellow hat was doing a little constructing of his own good morning george what'll it be for breakfast waffles or pancakes waffles and pancakes it is i'm sorry george but there are no blueberries we'll just find something else fun to put on top or you could go down to the store and buy blueberries okay george this is a 10. so be very careful [Music] george suddenly realized something was missing no wham wham wham maybe they were done the building was built the blueberries would have to wait [Music] the building wasn't done but no one was working today maybe this was a perfect time to look around without distracting anybody [Music] how would he pay for the blueberries [Music] george was definitely going to give compass blueberries for his help to hundley nothing beat being a wiener dog on a sunny day it was so much more dignified than being a sweaty tired-looking man back from the marathon already [Music] and you want a trophy 17th place congratulations [Music] steady now push that button uh let's put it there next to my cow pasture sprint trophy [Music] trophies make it hard to forget things you've done because you have to keep that he had the perfect home the bird could live here forever compass good to see you yeah compass is an almost homing pigeon he won't admit he has a weak sense of direction george the doorman is the not all footprints lead to cute little bunnies [Music] hi george what you doing bill was almost done george's time was running out [Music] george had caught every bunny except herbert nininger and bill would be home soon [Music] [Applause] [Music] george had looked everywhere what he needed was a bunny expert but who knew a lot about bunnies [Music] it wasn't going to work [Music] george tried to explain this was no time to play with a fuzz ball she had to find herbert nininger this was no ordinary fuzz this was the end of herbert nininger hey george keeping the bunnies company thanks as a reward for doing that and being so patient i'm gonna let you pet one right now petting a bunny isn't easy it's all about maintaining control step one unlock latch [Music] but you want a peta bunny don't you okay you sure are one careful kid hey how bad acorn get in there [Music] one of george's favorite things about being in the country was running his own railroad hello oh hi bill the kite flyers convention just ended i'm going to be coming home on the number seven train okay but what time will your train arrive at the station the number seven arrives home at exactly three o'clock all right i'll be there bye-bye george you wouldn't want to bother coming to the train station to pick bill up would you [Music] it's too early to go now his train won't arrive for hours [Music] oh i'll show you how it works this is the train bill will be on this is you and me even if we're at the train station we have to wait until three o'clock for bill's train to get from there to here [Music] okay we can go to the station early and you'll see how it really works [Music] [Laughter] [Music] this was exciting george had never been to the train station before well hey there young fellas taking a trip are you i recommend traveling by boat oh we're not traveling george wants to see how trains run well would you like to see it from inside the station's very nerve center are we allowed up there well of course my brother's the station master i'm bringing his lunch hey flint hey clan meet my mates george and why you're the man with the yellow hat i see you in town from up here cause you stick out like uh like a big yellow thing sticking out yeah well this particular little monkey wants to see how real trains run yeah well i'm the station master from here i watch every train on the line it's important for me to track every train to keep them on schedule and i'll see that the number one train supposed to get here first number two second three third is simple [Music] exactly i have to get that number one ahead of the number two hmm number two i'm switching you to the right of way so number one can pass okay station master [Music] so i've got to switch the tracks to move it ahead [Music] george saw exactly how station master flint did his job time for the number one to come into the station see now follow me [Music] and there's the number one right on time now you know enough to run the railroad yourself [Music] lunch break [Music] no thanks great northern railroad are you trying to cheat me clint oh trim your sails there flint what's your beef yours is big mine's all small on the ends like uh like something with small ends well i cut them in half and a half is a half i'll make a new one and show you you're as wrong as pants on the trout you be judged so it's fair um shouldn't someone be running the railroad oh it's okay i always stretch my legs at lunch anything unusual happens this warning bell rings guards can stay he can't harm anything remember be a good little monkey [Music] hi guys oh you're looking good george well at least the right half of you is i guess someone's due for half a bath i wish but george won't take a bath anymore i don't get it and maybe george feels he's getting too old for a bath of course that's it ah my little monkey is growing up [Music] now i know exactly what to do come on george we're going in oh thanks professor wiseman you're a genius well yeah i understand your problem with baths now george and i agree it's time for you to start taking showers [Music] turn on the water george and see what happens [Music] george yeah george why don't you help there's soap and water and bubbles and soap great george can help me make bubbles to attract dirty customers [Music] george figured the triangle bubble maker was broken but a square bubble would be just as good [Music] [Laughter] they fooled me the first time i tried them too it doesn't matter what shape bubble maker you use they'll always turn out round [Music] all
