Best Boss In The Game | Bloodborne Part 3

top of the morning ladies my name is jacksepticeye and welcome back to fearing the old blood it's so scary we're heading off into the nightmares now this time we're going to go i think it's this one i always get confused on which one's which there's a door up there and then there's a door down here i want to go to the nightmare frontier um so we can go fight the amygdala first and get that out of the way it's kind of like a bonus optional area i'm just going to pick door number this one see what happens i could be wrong the other way we go we fight mika lash and we progress the story properly but there's two optional areas left to do the nightmare frontier and the cainhurst castle both of which yeah right one both of which we can get through pretty quick the actual areas themselves are not that long uh but the boss here might be a little tricky with this build we actually get to fight an amygdala we actually get to fight a great one those big cthulhu faces that were hanging off the sides of buildings just chilling vibing it [ __ ] them up okay that's not what i meant to do but it'll work nice these bloodstone shards are useless to me that's totally okay what up who's here who wants to go yeah you up there you you with the you at the torch el torcho come on okay that didn't actually work i thought i was gonna oh god fire doesn't affect him he's nuts he's insane what [Laughter] oh god i didn't actually expect that at all i've never once been killed by them but oh i got all flustered he came out of nowhere he dodged the fire i was trying to try to make it look cool i forgot what i was supposed to be doing oh i'll get my revenge there we go come on oh god i almost fell off the edge don't got anybody to back you up this time do you come on stop trying to hit me and hit me i say as he killed me last time they're not even hard to fight they're so easy those are those uh creature dudes i don't know what they're actually called they were doing a lot more damage than i thought they would sons of [ __ ] oh yeah and i'm not playing online so there's no lady there ringing a bell there's supposed to be a lady ringing a bell and if she does that then you can be invaded oh hello perfect thank you well because she's not ringing the bell now i don't have to do anything that's great that's wonderful that's awesome and they took the servers for dark souls offline actually because apparently there's been an exploit that somebody found that people who invade you in dark souls can actually put files on your computer which is a a pretty big problem uh less than one consoles because those things are harder to hack because they're closed systems but they had to take the servers for dark souls offline they fixed it for eldering coming out which is good you kind of have to otherwise you have a one of the biggest games of the year coming out and people being able to be hacked it's not a great sign oh god oh he mad oh he throwing rocks uh but yeah it's probably good that they they did that because i feel like that's a i don't know how it went that long without somebody finding that exploit so hopefully we're safe uh there's a winter lantern down here you need to be careful of they're so unbelievably cool the song they sing or we can't hear right now but they give you frenzy they're one of the worst but best enemies in the game best because they're the worst and worst because they're the worst are you still even moving yeah that's off they're normally not that easy to kill they're normally way trickier and way more annoying but they give you frenzy like that and you lose a ton of health when that happens this is not a good time hi [ __ ] i don't need you you thought you were going to escape huh i don't need you and i plus nine now oh whoops yeah so all of these upgrade all of these shards are pointless to me now let's go and get the shortcut before we do anything nice blood files hello yeah i feel like cause i got hit by that attack that was what messed me up they hit like a truck well i also don't have that much vitality i'm normally able to like dodge stuff and get around it but i only have 15 vitality that's pretty low if you want to survive attacks there's some some enemies in this game hit there like a [ __ ] steam train by it's just [ __ ] that'll murder you okay how is this gonna go is it gonna be is it gonna be awesome or is it gonna be awful my betting is awful because it's almost impossible to hit this [ __ ] thing [Laughter] it could not have gone more awful are you kidding me i get one shot by the thing all right i've been neglecting my vitality way too much jesus christ i can i can literally say that i've never been killed like that fighting that balls god that's funny because usually i'm strong enough to be able to like run in tap it in the head get a visceral straight away you know starting off strong oh what a [ __ ] show all right round two buckaroo yeah there you go now slam there you go and i [ __ ] missed are you kidding me see the head is the weakest part and the arms but because i'm a short boy i can't reach the head that's what was supposed to happen yay [Applause] seeing in another smack or not completely [ __ ] missed it oh but now he angry he's gonna pull off his arms in a second then he gets super angry oh mega angry you can hit his arms which does decent damage as well but oh lord i don't want to be here crap i always find that that music sounds like uh star wars am i safe here i don't know i've never done this hey hey we did it that was what was supposed to happen in my head i had it all planned out i was 10 moves ahead i knew what i was doing i told you as soon as i hit record i just can't play this game it's like guys i promise i'm i'm good at it it's hot in here it feels like it's hot in here anyway if you're a magic build that boss is really easy because the head is weak to magic that's up great shall we um missed our lady i'm i can only level up once i'm gonna put some points into health because i think i need it i've been neglecting it too long i'm gonna sell these because i think they're useless and i don't like them and i like a cleaner inventory of stuff that i'm actually gonna use thank you excuse me pardon me coming through excuse me oh you're going to hit me oh nope not today i'm a sprint man today on we go to the next adventure the next nightmare um ah see i've i'm so used to just going through the areas that i forgot to like show annie of the last area i know it's optional and everything but there's some cool stuff with like boats in the distance that kind of like leads into stuff from the dlc because the whole idea is that nightmares can like stack on each other and they're kind of like alternate dimensions look at that big castle i love to look at the clouds in here they look like um i don't know what you call them i've always heard to the refer or heard them referred to as gravity clouds or something online look up gravity clouds and see if that yields any good results because i think that that's what they look like if it doesn't look like them then it's not what i'm thinking of nice it's really cool looking i love the way they just hang this place is covered in faces the thing up there uh gives you frenzy just by running around and it's a big brain i love that effect again if any of you've looked up the hieronymus posh painting the garden of earthly delights and you see the hell section in it with the lights like beaming out through stuff it's exactly like that it's so cool has to be inspired by it i refuse to believe otherwise and i think these are all amalgamations of people just merge together from it thankfully this guy can be affected by it as well [Applause] my frenzy is still going up wow wow unfair that your fire goes through that wow i wanted the frenzy to kill him but i guess not i guess your mom's favorite child i love these guys look at the old man face on them but i can't hang around because those of all the things i know that will kill me in one hit those rocks absolutely will ah let me head let me end oh god don't hit me don't hit me don't hit me oh perfect timing oh god oh god now we're into a bunch of spiders though this is the worst there's nobody like a bad lady here now i don't have to deal with her either this is great that actually scared me a little bit can i hit you with this hit him with the swipe excellent okay oh god i forgot that you fall down one at a time fellas one at a time or two at a time with them now you're here and you suck and your friend is here and they well they look like you so they also suck i usually just fight two at a time but i guess for the shaker speed and efficiency for the sake of the let's play come on lads who's first oh yeah i'll do the same to you and all now i do have to fight your friend here which is quite a bit more annoying because he also hurts don't hit me oh god he's swinging oh god bye bye shelob so gross like tarantulas in real life are already so gross because they're so big and hairy and i feel like once spiders get big enough they start having a soul and a conscience and i i don't like that this person we're going to run by first because they they really hurt if they hit you and we can cheese it a little bit bye-bye i've always wanted them to fall down here but i i can never make them do it we also get a lamp here now we're on the other side the big brain thing is up there shining down on me that's where i was earlier over there across that bridge isn't that neat level design nobody does it like from soft these are the types of games that you whenever you play them and you see the level design you go back and you play other games and you're like man i didn't even know that level design could be this good until i played these games the amount of high level effort that goes into it i don't need to kill these guys i just like to see now your back has turned and now i can get you they're using ludwig's holy blade that's one of the stronger weapons in the game as well i used to be my favorite for a long time until i got common sense eat [ __ ] diaper baby only dinklebamp stands tall oh there's a lot of them oh when the gang's all here it hurts a lot yeah bro you got the whole squad laughing over here is that a good reference was that cool it's it felt really cool when i said it look at you hidden in the drawers uh drawers i swear i feel like the older i've gotten the less my brain works the more i want to like have quick wit and quick jokes and fire one off and i'm just i think covet has actually made me worse because i haven't been able to interact with people the way i normally do like whenever i'm hanging out with friends and just popping one laners off here and there oh gee i'm topping off actually because you do that again it might [ __ ] me up down the stairs oh you don't even have any health left stinky i can see up your dress what's even in these books yeah [ __ ] books we only like video games around here there's a guy behind here you don't know it yet but if if given the chance he would kill you and your whole family just like a cow can i get to you before that guy realizes i've never actually tried i can that makes you a lot easier we're learning we're learning we're progressing okay that was not right that was let me let me let me no i'm gonna die i'm gonna die i'm gonna die i have decided actually my choice okay you did not jump forward for some reason so weak a sneeze could kill you excellent kind of a crappy little area for like enemies who can kill you right quickly i don't like it now we come across the most abominative creatures it's dogs crossed with crows honestly kind of sick looking though are you guys more of like a a bird dog like bird body dog head or bird head dog body because i'm i'm partial to this one although there is something about a dog being able to fly and kill you that way that's just terrifying all right boss is up there but we're gonna go back down to our shortcut and level up i think 20 vitality is good 793 yeah that's a good amount of health to have i mean [ __ ] you german i think if you're playing the game for the first time you should be bumping your health up to like 30 40 like really cranking it out but i feel like the way i play the game it doesn't need to be that high oh physical attack up nine percent but weapon durability down access the cursed gem it doesn't matter we're gonna get uh we're going to get a really good jam here soon 235 is tempting though in this area we're gonna get a gem that's that's really really good it's in the middle of like all these winter lanterns and i think it's either the 15 i think it's the 18 up you get physical attack up 18 that's another reason i like this weapon that it has like certain gem slots on it you see these i can't really point it out to the right of where i am now these three little symbols above where it says physical attack those spiky symbols are like the gems you can use and they're like certain types of gems that you can use so this weapon is able to use some of those whereas other weapons can't use the same ones um who am i fighting nikolas oh this is a good chance to actually try some to try some mikalash stuff mikalash is the most fun character boss but his fight itself is just kind of [ __ ] but i i did learn some stuff that i want to try on them we get to listen to mikaela schneider now we shall not abandon the dream he's so fun no one can catch us no one can stop us now there's that laugh so this nightmare we're in is because of him and his school he's not like a traditional fight he's standing there but if you run at him he'll start like running away and this this method of breaking this boss is so inconsistent and he's annoying because if you actually catch him like that or he gets stuck he'll he'll just teleport out of it or i wish you could just kind of like wail on him out here i mean you kind of can oh he's kind of broken where are you going bro oh i ran out of [ __ ] sprint i could have hit him because i like being able to break him outside of the room that he's supposed to be in because then the fight's just kind of boring come on come here fine i'll chase him into the room i mean he can go there if he wants sometimes he goes left what you're supposed to do is like he runs left there so you go back this way and you just force him into that room oh yeah but i do want to try a thing i think you're able to like go here and like aggro him and then leave i've seen people like fight him out here and i've always been curious about it because the thing is that he's not that hard but he has some attacks that hit you really hard like the auger of ebrietus and the call from beyond in the second phase and they're just they just feel cheap and shitty and it's just annoying to fight him that way okay you're not doing the thing oh oh maybe like this i don't know why you would fight him out here i don't know what the purpose of this is hi does it break him yeah like that if i get hit by that it might actually just kill me outright oh god not in the [ __ ] doorway though oh this is the worst oh i made this harder okay yeah you can fight him out here weird but i never know when he's gonna do it and then halfway he teleports but he has some really fun lines majestic the hunter not too fast i waited there for his dialogue because you can't pick stuff up as he's talking you have to skip it but i love him me and evelyn always say that to each other a hunter is a hunter even in a dream [Music] then he goes through the mirror now this is another method that i've never actually done that i want to try you can catch him here by going like this yeah oh whoa i've never oh that's so [ __ ] easy wow hell yeah i'm a speedrunner baby now i'm waking up oh forget everything i skipped because i was picking up items [ __ ] damn so fun normally he goes into that room and it closes off and you have to drop in from above and then you're in this tiny little room with him where he can do like a magic attack that kills you really easily it just makes me nervous to fight him that way that was so much easier feel good about that thank you for raising the bridge i don't need it right this second but i'll go to it soon i want to get this there's a key down there but i'm not going to get it cuz i don't i don't use that room that way basically there's another way of getting to the room that is better because right now if i go to it it's right near that brain where you get frenzy a lot i don't want to do that also besides the optional boss there's only two bosses left in the game there's mergo and then another boss but i don't want to say who that is because it's a spoiler and it's kind of fun um i'm gonna regret this so much i'm gonna run through this one area because you get a [ __ ] on an xp out of it but i i guarantee you i'll die stupidly down there is where we have to go after to get uh a really really good gem the attack up gem that i talked about i know these guys are just regular ass enemies oh god these are the shadows of yharnam guys that i fought can you not you're making me make me kind of nervous i don't want to die again i don't want to die to stupid enemies booty hole oh why didn't you do it i actually want to change outfits i love this outfit so much this is like one of the first ones you get but it's my favorite and then these piggy's mad too but we can make them fight these guys oh don't hit me though oh only one of them followed me [ __ ] okay that's a lot to fight oh god wow jesus pig so scary holy [ __ ] i thought he was dead i'm gonna shoot you dead oh my god my heart left into my mouth that was awesome that other pig didn't die though i i really need that other pig to die this is the best area if you want to farm echoes for levels especially if you put on that moon rune there's other moon runes you can get as well like stronger versions of it if you put that on and then come through this area i think you get like 40 to 60k or something like that out of this zone just from that one lamp that i was at to here which leads you back to another lamp so you can just keep doing that in a circle and it's it's not that hard to actually kill all the enemies here although it is if that pig charges me because that pig's charge will [ __ ] one shot you oh like that i didn't get the full brunt of it but i got very close die die die die oh my god i thought i died i should have just gone for the visceral i thought that i could kill him much quicker without the visceral oh jesus this will tell you how amazing this game is even after like 20 plus times of playing it i still get terrified of it oh my god baby can you just shut the [ __ ] up this is the lady that came up after rome she's all bleedy from her belly and she's crying about her baby you want your baby i'll send you to your baby she's um is she the queen of yharnam is that her name she's uh killing her doesn't really make any difference i just do it because i'm a ruthless blood god and i want to oh my echoes are almost satisfying one two one one one one especially if those are all ones but she can be a boss in the chalice dungeons if you do them but she's going out she's looking up at her baby and her bloods all over in her stomach and i think the baby was taken from her or there's a lot going on oh my oh my we have a lot of levels my oh my this is about to be an immaculate dinner uh anything i can sell that i'm not going to use princess cage sure that'll do 155k welcome not bad not bad at all that can go towards this so i would like 50 skill before we end this off um i'm going to spend the rest of this because i don't want to lose it i'm just going to get blood vials because i'm about to do i want to go get that gem but this is really annoying i have to get into an elevator and jump out at the right time and no matter how many times i've done it i don't know a trick of doing it 100 of the time to not die because you either hit like an invisible wall or you're like this is how far my character rolls normally pretty far and yet jumping out of this is probably going to kill me [Music] um i also want to wear this has the best frenzy resistance right yeah nothing else is better and i need sedatives so my tactic is usually to get like right at the edge of this and then scooch myself ever so slightly out okay it works sometimes i do that doesn't work you just hit an invisible wall you roll in mid-air and then you just fall straight down and you die and you have to do it again oh god my my heart's beating a mile a minute right now because of that these guys i don't really want to fight but i might have to to get what i want out of it it makes me so nervous still playing this [ __ ] game because they give you a lot of frenzy like that was one spike she glimpsed me for a second and that's like half a bar it's not on mate okay we're going for we're going for we're going for it we're going for it we're going for it we're good we're good we're good we're good okay okay yep the gem is back there but that's okay for now we go here and now we get to see the cause of all of our big woeful problems that that right down there down it goes you get a good shot of it here though it's so gross bye that's um i think that's an experiment of people in this world trying to make a great one as well and i think they succeeded i think that's ah there's a lot of lore i can't remember which ones are attributed to which but i think one of them they actually succeeded in making a great one i don't know if it was that brain or not okay kill these guys so they're not a headache for what i want to attempt nice [ __ ] nice i love all of them with their little bowl cuts little fryer talk haircut so the gem i want is right past that first one right right in there but i have to kill that first one to get it and to do that you can't like get close to them you can't sneak up on them because they all have eyes everywhere so my my tactic is to that and then oh i didn't make it i didn't make it i didn't make it i didn't make it [ __ ] i wasted the sedative as well you can time that so that you get iframes for when they're about to give you frenzy just get the gem and go get the gem and go nice boom baby you can time it so that you do that visceral as the frenzy is building up and then when the frenzy is is going to take your health you're in the iframes of the visceral attack which means invincible frames and you can dodge that frenzy and mess but and then there's more down here but all the items suck now we can come here this is where that thing was giving us frenzy from before oh it's out the other side that we normally are is it yeah there's that bridge again that i crossed so that that brain thing was here and then you you get rid of it to get all these items that key that i said that i didn't want because i was going to come here and get stuff another way there's something down here no that leads you out to this zone like the door is over there but if you come in here with that key and then that brain is still up then you just get absolutely destroyed by frenzy oh you want to get rid of the brain because down here is the blood rock baby i think that's the only one in the game right in the main game and now i'm back out here it's absolutely incredible to me to see how all of these levels interconnect and there's that bridge again this is where i came over and killed that guy right in front of the full moon isn't that cool this level design blows me away all the time but now that we have these i can upgrade my weapon to plus 10 and i can get 18 more damage which is going to prove to be very very very useful when i actually fight the boss of this area because you can also make this a really quick fight or like anything in life things can go completely wrong whatever we'll deal with it [ __ ] you garmin okay saucepierre plus turn let's go bloodjam fortification wait where is it there it is yeah because i have one that's plus 18 already tempering damp low gem tempering damper gem 303 attack that's a lot again there's other ones that do more but i feel like this one is pretty [ __ ] good uh i want to take off some runes as well once i have on now more visceral attacks from that i don't really care about that i want all damage reduction plus four uh physical damage reduction plus three so that should be seven percent physical reduction right temporary booster transform is still pretty good oh actually i know what i want what i really really want by now if you come here and go to central jarnam again the first lamp that you see you should be able to get a really good rune because one of the guys well he'll show up once the damn loading's done this guy really easy but he was at the start of the game i forgot to talk to him he's in this building and you can talk to him and he's really really sick and basically he's dying and later in the game then he turns into a beast and bursts out through here but you get the claw mark rune from him which is really good for visceral attacks also now yarnum from the start of the game is all blood moon it's really cool have you ever played this game it's really cool to come back to these areas later and just see what the areas look like under a different lighting scenario i love doing that [ __ ] you german i'll keep on the all damage reduction temporary boost to transform though yeah for right now i'll i'll change it up oh wait actually yeah claw mark i have the other claw mark as well so let's do this let's take off this one and then we do claw mark one and claw mark ii so my visceral attacks are 30 percent stronger and i have physical damage reduction of 4 percent that's pretty beefy 30 extra on your visceral attacks is crazy by the way it's so much extra damage all right let's go fight mergo oh wait wrong one wrong one wrong one right one what actually has the most physical defense because armors in this game are not as important as they are in some of the other games like some of the other games you have like real big discrepancies between some of the clothing like havel's armor obviously does way more and you have equip burdens and equipping stuff that's lighter is so much faster at rolling none of that applies in this game it's all completely different there's no equip load limit um so i never actually know what the best armors to use are i do like the kanehurst set but we don't have that okay time to fight murgo i have done this fight really really quickly but it's all kind of rng based on how she moves these guys are all here as well she'll either move [Music] broken or she'll be all over the place so whatever one we get is kind of a look of a draw right now but she's [ __ ] dope there's the baby i think she's my favorite looking boss she doesn't even have a face [Music] oh she's got what four or eight arms why did i jump oh god i was sprinting okay well i've kind of [ __ ] it up already we're good we're good build that beast blood oh my god stop hitting me nice [Music] ah it didn't work i can sometimes break her out of that and then yes excellent yeah that's a pretty good fight still did really well i'm proud of that one let's go made short work of her yeah shut up baby shut up you stupid baby can't even pay taxes yeah [ __ ] yeah happy with that let's go nice nightmare slain that's the first time we've seen that so that's that that's the second last boss in the game now we head back to hunter's dream and there is a surprise waiting for us there is treachery afoot it's all on fire oh what happened good hunter you have come dawn will soon break this night and this dream will end gammon awaits you at the foot of the great tree that son of a [ __ ] farewell now you know why every time i saw him i smacked the [ __ ] out of him in a way german's the final boss is what i'm saying um okay uh a bit of housekeeping back to cathedral ward because our friend ariana the prostitute lady she is something that she's gonna give us uh but yeah german is the final boss of the main game so after german there is a secret final boss that you can get but she's gone and if you follow the trail of blood all the way out where did she go i'm trying to keep the suspense up i'm trying not to spoil things i'm trying to like have it be kind of secret because i there's no surprise left in the game for me so i'm like is it working or is it just stupid here we go she had a baby it can't be this is a nightmare she had a little baby a baby great one or at least close to it sorry sorry i'm gonna take your [ __ ] shoes but also i need that umbilical cord sorry i look i know how it sounds i met a prostitute took her blood then killed her and her newborn child stole her shoes and is basically going to eat the umbilical cord it doesn't it doesn't sound great when you put it on paper but it's for a proper reason uh a great relic also known as the cord of the eye every infant great one has this precursor to the umbilical cord so it was a great one yeah every great one loses its child and then yearns for a surrogate this chord granted menses audience with mergo but resulted in the stillbirth of their brains used to gain insight and so they say eyes on the inside although no one remembers what truly entails so there's three there's actually four of these in the game that you can get but if you use all three of these to give you three insight each so eyes on the inside you're furthering your knowledge of the eldritch truth if you can see it as you're using it it's kind of like cosmic you kind of like see the universe you're opening basically like opening your third eye if you've ever heard that terminology i don't know where that comes from is it it's like spiritual awakening it might be from hinduism i'm not sure um a lot of cultures have their own versions and interpretations of it uh but in this game you use the umbilical cords to like commune with great ones and great ones can't actually have kids so they're constantly seeking out children um and it it pertains to the the lore that's going on in the background as well so she had a great one i actually don't know ariana's full story in that regard i'd have to look it up vati where are you i need your help um anything else i should buy i have 29 insight and it's not going towards anything so i'm just going to buy one of these to bring it down because who knows we might uh use the whorly gig saw as well which right now we're heading off to do we still have plenty of time left in this episode you think i was gonna leave this episode here no bruh we're going straight to the dlc now after you beat vicar emilia you can access the dlc when i came back to the hunter's dream after that you would have seen me pick up i have a blood drunk hunter or is it just eye of a drunk hunter i can't remember uh and then if you go to this place that we were at way way earlier that you get that cosmic thing right here because now you can see that this dude was here all along he was there that entire time we just didn't have the insight to see that him their children too and their children forever true so dope so that's like your way into the dlc but that great one that amygdala is like on the wall that entire time if you increase your insight early in the game you'll actually be able to see that on the side of the wall but as the story progresses you naturally just gain more insight and get stronger or get more knowledgeable of the ultra's truth and now we're in a a different version of the hunters or the cathedral ward that place we just were but this is the hunter's nightmare and it's kind of an amalgamation of things it looks similar but everything's sort of like mashed together and all over the place and the moon or sun or whatever is covered and it's just phenomenal it's such good artwork and this dlc is my favorite dlc they've ever done the second one would be the the ringed city dlc in dark souls 3. this place is full of hunters oh 2700 damage that's so much [ __ ] yeah and this is the courtyard where i fought all the giants it's probably harder to like piece this stuff together if you're watching it through a let's play i'm kind of trying to point out these locations as we go through them to kind of like tie your brain to each thing so this looks more familiar because if you've played the game and especially if you played the game a bunch of times the dlc didn't come out immediately so we played the game a bunch of times and then when you actually got to this location it was like whoa it's the same but it's it's all different and it's all discombobulated and all over the place so it was really cool to see and i feel bad now that i didn't show you the the hunters or the the nightmare frontier properly because there's a piece of it that ties into this uh maybe i still can if i don't forget you know what [ __ ] with the power of editing we're going straight there so we're back here where i fought the make delay if you look down you can see all these like boats sorry compulsion brain you see all of these ships down below and that ties into oh yeah you can see the arena where i fought the amygdala earlier i love that i love that from soft do that you like enter an area you can kind of see where your goal is and then you can progress through the area and then you get down there and it's like oh right i can see that from like the beginning so those boats are they're not i don't know if they're actually really in the water but they they're kind of just there you can see it a lot more if you get down to that zone um which we can do easily actually because i figure if i'm going to do this series i might as well do it right right if i'm committing to the whole thing i might as well show you guys all the like little nooks and crannies and bits and pieces that make me really love and appreciate this game this elevator is also really weird it's completely like out of coordination with everything else in the game but i think it's because it's like great one tech for lack of a better term it's i ran past this and everything and i just didn't show it but yeah you can see the boats now a lot closer so that's like the the nightmare that i'm in it's a it's a weird thing to say because is it a nightmare like it's like a person's dream i don't know but they're basically like layers of reality and these things can like stack upon one another they're not really like sharing the same brain space as something else but it's kind of like an inception thing where you're like inside someone's dream and that's like basically a new reality it's it's high level [ __ ] but that's because the great ones are beyond our understanding and we just can't we just can't get our human brains around it you know it's nice to come to the dlc when you're this leveled up stuff isn't hurting me as much because i think the recommended level is like level 60 or something like 64. but this is like another version of that then that other nightmare that we were just in where things are all kind of like mashed together some of the scenery looks similar-ish i love those guys the hunters in this dlc are so badass and they have my favorite sound in the whole game which is let's see if i can get one of them to do it when i kill him i believe this guy right here i can visceral it's an easy kill he's gonna do it i believe do it do it for us he did it i love it it's so goofy um also a really badass outfit you can get in this area i love this hat i don't know what it is about it it's like what my character is using is like the new version of it it's like sleek it's modernized it's it seems like it's probably a bit more comfy it's more compact it's more streamlined um and then the old hunters have their own version of it so this is like in the past if you're new to from soft games as well there's a lot of like time travel [ __ ] that goes on in them dark souls 1 has it dark souls 2 has it like going back to memories and dark souls 3 is like the epitome of it like timelines merging who knows maybe maybe someday i'll do a dark souls 3 play through as well i actually have a dark souls 1 playthrough on the channel that many of you probably don't know it's one of the first things i ever uploaded i i didn't finish it because no one was watching back then obviously but i i fell in love with the game i just really really really wanted to play it for videos um but it just wasn't meant to be i guess oh that didn't work these guys are very tough and have a [ __ ] ton of health and i'm just gonna run this way for right now to get away from him he's using the boom hammer which is a really cool weapon and i wish it was better to use of the weapons that's in this dlc because some of the weapons in the main game are really cool like being able to like tricked out like that and they're really fun but some of these ones like this beast cutter are so cool what did you say see it to my [ __ ] face be careful of that button though you step on that button oh it's broken that gun will shoot you okay there is another hunter dude here but i'm hoping that these guys won't trigger him because if they don't then i can get a visceral off on him because he's one of those guys with a boom hammer and now he's not as strong as the other one for some reason i don't know why i guess he just has more levels in health it's a very cool weapon you can just die way too quickly to them i don't like it all right now this area is clear well clear of hunters these guys ain't [ __ ] oh i was gonna say you could shoot them to death that's a really fun build to do actually is a blood tinge build there's some weapons you can get that you can coat them in blood and then you do more damage with them and normally blood tinge is a stat that's not great for this build i mean it's not not that it's not great it's [ __ ] awful for this build it does nothing except increase the power of your bullets but if you have a if you have a weapon that scales on it then your bullets also do more damage and then you can get a gun that i i'll actually be able to get soon in another part of the game oh yeah i went straight to dlc instead of going to canehurst what am i doing i [ __ ] it up guys i could have had the episodes way more pleasing oh well there's a gun you can get that as well that does a [ __ ] ton of damage if your blood change is really high and this is where he found victor emilia but now somebody else holds the throne and has an eye pendant so um i guess it's a spoiler for later but i mean not really this is that time we saw lawrence and willem talking and they're saying fear the old blood this is lawrence this is what's become of him he's turned into a cleric beast and a big fiery one at that and he's a he's an optional boss that you can fight later in the dlc which we probably will um but this is kind of like the outcome of him like you learn that later but you learn it by like you go up and you fight him and it says lawrence the first whatever and i'm like it's it's fine to know it now if anything it's kind of cool to know it now to see what's happened to him hello these guys are scary what free visceral i'll take that and i do 2700 damage so i think i'm the one you should fear idiot making good good progress look at that does it get any better there's some like museum worthy imagery in this game in all of the fromsoft games their art department is completely unmatched these are the guns that shoot you normally and they suck they do so much damage they stagger you not today buckaroo nah i'm not falling for it i'm falling for your shenanigans [ __ ] this is also an area in the the main part of the game remember i come down here and attack the guy in the wheelchair now the guy in the wheelchair is a [ __ ] bomb strap to him can you imagine not me but i did just get the boom hammer i want to show you guys what they look like the beast cutter is kind of like this like this one but it's it's a segmented one so it normally swings like that but then you can do like this and it separates out if any of you have watched bleach this is that guy's weapon oh god what's his name renji is that his name and he's like kasabi maru it's so [ __ ] dope it's kinda hard to see but it's not like a big chain and you just pound it back together uh and then the boom hammer is really cool it's just a regular ass hammer but then you can light the top of it by igniting this hammer on the back and then that goes back and it's like a fiery inferno in it it's [ __ ] awesome the the weapon designs in this game are some of the it has some of the coolest weapons in any game and it's not just because it's my favorite game ever that i'm saying that i give me a game that has cooler every weapon having like multiple forms in it it's so cool this is what where did i go that's not where i meant to be i'm going to go this way these guys suck literally they drink blood oh simon i forgot about you you're a hunter with your sanity aren't you must have taken a wrong turn then eh no well we're more alike than you think this is the hunter's nightmare where hunters end up when drunk with blood you've seen them before aimless wandering hunters slavering like beasts this is what the poor fools have to look forward to so don't be brash turn back before it's too late unless you something of an interest in nightmares uh nightmares are fascinating to tell you so much about your personality it's like why did i have that nightmare like let's dive deep into it oh yes i see you sense a secret within the nightmare and cannot bear to leave it be as if the spirit of bergenworth lives on within you such inquisitive hunters will relish the nightmare but beware secrets are secrets for a reason and some do not wish to see them uncovered especially going to give us a giggle particularly unseemly oh the only character who doesn't laugh after you talk to him he's a really cool character i don't know much about his lore or anything but he his weapon is called a bow blade and it's a sword that the blade like splits and becomes like the arms of a bow and it's a really cool weapon to look at but i've tried to use it and unless you're a blood tinge build and using the arrows then it's just not that effective um but it's really cool to look at his outfit's really cool as well but we can get it later we don't need to need to upset him right now damn i love how this place looks i love what you've done with the place oh we have we have one heck of a boss coming up in front of us right now oh my god this is so dope love that architecture [Music] let's go this way let's hide here for just a second because that guy and his cosmic squid face have a gigantic cannon that will [ __ ] me up yeah if that hit me game over well maybe not but probably close to it all right i like that lamp come this way come this way folks get yourself a nice chunk see that level design you look at the item and then you see oh wait there's a shadow over there so you know they're an enemy right there but he's oh god he's actually a lot stronger than some of the other counterparts of him for some reason like the visceral doesn't kill him so he's a little trickier but still a little [ __ ] oh yeah so remember when i showed you guys the boats inside that they were connected that there's like water down there oh i [ __ ] it up damn it i thought you weren't gonna trigger until later this thing just fell from the sky i mean you don't really see much of it it's just the same thing it's like a big explosion um but this thing just fell from above which is like a snail person hmm i wonder where they came from we're just gonna have to find out whirly gig saw baby oh you know your boy is gonna pop this one out this is a lot of people would argue that this is the coolest weapon in the game or even the best weapon in the game it oh god it's so cool whoever thought up of this is a genius so it has like this stick that you can smack things with which is pretty strong but then if you switch it you get this [ __ ] pizza cutter that i can't get a good look at it that when you swing it is a saw it's [ __ ] awesome but everybody loves this attack where you can just like do this and hold it to enemies just kind of like cut the grass it's really cool this was my favorite weapon in the game for a long long time but it's it's a strength based weapon so i my character doesn't oh that didn't actually that did i should have just used a bold hunter's mark why did i run through here it's much harder to run through here when they've triggered it's another thing as well that i i'm at 30 strength now so if i did want to use the horley gig saw cause it is it's going to make this next fight a lot harder when i don't when i have to use this thing if you're using the horizon the fight's kind of it's kind of a joke because you can stagger the enemy so so so easily but using this thing is going to be a lot harder i can't get off as many hits oh cool you can do more damage nice it still should it's like obviously it's still very doable it's just if you use the horly gig saw it builds up beast blood really really quickly because it's it's one of those things that when you swing it and you hit the blade on the front of it is spinning so much that it it counts as like individual hits so your beast blood meter goes really high really quickly and in fights against tough bosses it it builds really fast and makes it a lot lot easier but we should be able to do it with this oh god i'm nervous oh this uh this next fight is with is with ludwig the accursed this guy is such a homie five blood vials every time and he's considered by a lot and myself included to be not only one of the best fights in the soul series but one of the hardest and this could go any [ __ ] way i've had runs where i go in i'm just he jumps and kills me instantly i've had runs where i get super close and fight for him for 10 minutes i've had others where i kill him in 30 seconds oh god i really want this to go well but who [ __ ] knows let's see what happens it's a fun fight regardless it's so nasty oh i hate this scream sound effect at the end of this cutscene by the way [Applause] hell yeah because everyone's watching me my hands are like tingling [Applause] nice okay phase two this this is sometimes way way easier than phase one oh the music i forgot about the music it's my favorite lot more predictable in phase one he's a lot more like violent his hitbox is a little more [ __ ] for lack of a better term this hitbox is kind of all over the place in phase one [Music] [Applause] flawless victory not flawless but really [ __ ] good yes let's go damn baby it feels good to be a gangster also now he's dead over here good hunter have you seen the thread of light he's such a gentleman now just a hair a fleeting thing yet i come to it steeped as i was in the stench of blood and beasts i never wanted to know what it really was really i didn't you good [ __ ] if you i i killed him because either simon shows up and kills him or you can kill him here and if you kill him you get the holy moonlight sword which is i don't even have the arcane to be able to wield it if any of you have played any from soft games you'll know that the holy moonlight sword is a recurring sword in that franchise it's in every single one of them oh okay we did it that holy moon knight sword as well it's good in an arcane build it's actually really fun to use you don't do as much damage as some of the other weapons but it's really flashy if you want to have a really flashy weapon then that's that's a good one to have but the reason i like getting it and coming back here is because it sells for a [ __ ] ton of money sells for 56 000 a lot of people screaming at the screens thinking that you sold one of the cooler weapons in the game but i can't even wield it and i'm not going to uh and then i'm going to put those into these become a beefy little boy we'll do an optional area to end off the video we'll do canehurst because cainhurst at this level is not it's not that hard to do what should be able to get through it pretty quick it's a cool one though i do so much damage with viscerals that's why for that uh ludwig fight if you have i guess it's kind of at odds with itself because if you have a strength build you don't do high viscerals but the whirly gig is really good against that but if you're able to stagger him and then you get a visceral off then you do so much damage we've been here before we hung out here we killed a bunch of dogs but when we when i was here last time i went off to the right hand side this time we're gonna go off to the left secret place am i being chased uh down here we get to go back to yosefka's clinic which you need to go to to get the the summons to be able to go to canehurst excuse me this area is stinky because that's a poison lake oh that's not the way tis here there's a couple items there you can pick up but they're not that great especially if you get here now early on in the game maybe they might have been better i'd rather climb my ladder to heaven there's bodies here bodies everywhere so many bodies your yosef has been [ __ ] experimenting she's been throwing lads everywhere her clinic is actually where you wake up in the game the very first episode the very first place that you get control of your character is joseph's clinic and that gate that i said that you could speed run breakthrough is this gate so now we're right back at the start of the game i love that because you get through those areas and like dark souls 1 when i did my first loop all the way back around and i came back to firelink shrine before the cap redeem and i was like no way that all connects around they're they're fooling us and then you get here it's like there's no way that connects to the starting area and sure enough there are map viewers that you can look at that shows that it actually is all mapped out proper three-dimensional space it's so cool oh god i'm really strong for this you can come here earlier as well and fight somebody here that is pretty cool but now we're here late game after you defeat rom and after you defeat mergo those are like instance changes it like progresses the story a lot because you get some insight when you come in here and if you get insight walking into a place it usually means that it's a place of great knowledge or a place of great like there's a lot going on this is where those guys are created oh look at his face it's like some weird predator face they so the lore of this area is that there's a lady in here who's experimenting on people that pretends to be yosefka but she's not she's turned i think that is i know yosef is further down she's turned people into those kind of creatures and when you come in here normally she talks to you and she's like ah moonlit sense or whatever uh but now she's here god i'm nauseous have you found this it's progressing i can see things i knew it i'm different i know beast oh god it feels awful but it proves that i'm chosen don't you see how their eyes rise inside my head it's rather rapturous [Music] that voice acting so good and then of course kill her and you get a third umbilical cord make up that what you will so she was like ascending basically um and she's doing experiments on people in here you can fight her early on but it's it's wise to leave her till now so you can get a third umbilical cord i know what you're thinking jack doesn't that make four thirds yeah i think you get one from mergo you get one in the old workshop where the old hunter's dream was and then you get one from ariana and one from her so i think it's just kind of like trying to cover all its bases so you can get three and this is yosefka the original lady who's here this is where i woke up this is the table that i woke up on at the start of the game where i got my blood contract and you get the canehurst summons and then yosefka's in here you can come back to that door come back to this door from the other side and you can talk to them and then eventually they're like if you see people send them my way and you can all the people that you consent to cathedral ward like uh ariana who we stole her shoes you can send her here but your the fake yosefka will put we'll do experiments on her and kill her and everybody you send here will turn into one of those like mushroom head blobby creatures it's really cool back in hammock charnel lane baby cainhurst is a cool place dodge all these guys we're not here for you i have a summons it's it's really odd i didn't catch this the first couple of times i played it that you're supposed to bring the summons like right here it's just a weird place to have it that you don't really interact with it you just get the summons and you walk over here like i missed it my chariot awaits so creepy there's no one in this there's no one driving the carriage there's no one in the carriage up aboard it feels so fancy and then off we go i feel like cinderella in my onion carriage was it an onion that should raise it oh it's a pumpkin is it oh god that's a fairy tale i haven't thought of since i was a kid so these are bringing me to canehurst which is a a very old place in the bloodborne world oh it's massive but this is a completely optional area god i love the imagery in this game everything's so badass i can't wait for elden ring ah from the bits that i've played so far it's even cooler and then i get here and the horses have been dead forever they've been dead a long time so how did i get here the bridge is all collapsed that's yharnam over there i don't know what that area is though so cool i love how much little things like that just build out the world like having the chariot show up and bring you is not that weird but then having getting to the place and realizing that everything that brought you here is dead and that yharnam's back there and this seems to be like in the past it's like what is happening [ __ ] yeah kanehurst castle so i'm way over leveled for this area so it's one of those areas that you can just kind of plow through now there's a lot of items here there's a lot of stuff you can see but it's all kind of useless to me but these creatures we saw in the dlc these are bloodlickers i think but here they're all like malnourished their bellies are like big but they're not swollen and what went on here was like a big it's like a big [ __ ] massacre that a bunch of people died the place ran red with blood the blood licker showed up to drink it all so disgusting it's like the home of the vilebloods the home of like evil blood people and they're still ghosts here remnants and they're all crying ow i thought you were dead jesus but if you notice in in the dlc when you see those blood lickers those things that are outside their bellies are all like swollen and they're all a lot more alive looking because in the dlc you're in the past when the when the places are flowing red with blood so they're like feasting on it they're well fed but in this it happened such a long time ago happened such a long time ago that all the blood is dried up so they're not getting anything out of it anymore it's cool we get the writer palace we also get a very we get a gun in this area that has a fun name but i think yeah they um these people were the vile bloods and alfred who we talked to earlier in the game he he talked about hunting vilebloods and he's like a vile blunt killer and he's seeking them out for his his master logarius is what he said but the vilebloods are basically people with dirty blood strong blood magical blood like most things in this game but like evil blood so people showed up here and basically had like a cleansing of the of the vilebloods they killed them all to get rid of them from this world so it's like a very opulent place out out out [Applause] that's why it's like it's like royalty very gothic a noble dress thank you that's all i need in here actually but it's just a little optional area so there's like there's a couple of there's a fun boss here and i just think lore wise it's really cool but a lot of the stuff you can get here is just at this point is not that useful to me but don't grab me but i'm pretty sure this is the same lake that you can look out on when you're in hamburg charnel lane look at that guy pretending to be a snoozers you get a cool armor in this area actually but it it fits on this on this body type for this character i don't know because it like changes colors depending on the body type you pick and i don't like how it looks on this body type because i think it's it's more muted and doesn't have as cool a fit this is an elevator right back down to the start so i don't want to go through that the vileblood register you can see who's part of it so you can when you come here you can like sign up to be a vile blood which lets you get blood tinge weapons you get the chicago which is a really really cool blood tinge sword probably i think if you put the right gems on it it actually comes out as being the strongest weapon in the game because it could just hit for so much in its blood-tinged form but i don't like the blood tinge weapons this is the gun it's called the evelyn it's my girlfriend excuse me ladies so that gun if you become a blood tinge build if you if you're a blood tinge build and you want to play that way this is not exactly an optional area you absolutely should come here to get all this stuff because not only can you join the vilebloods at the end of it which lets you get the chicago but it lets you get the eveline here as well and if you're a blood tinge build then your bullets do more damage and the eveline it does like with it kitted out it does like 300 to 400 damage and if you put bone marrow ash on it as well it does even more you can actually just fight bosses with guns then because right now guns are only used to parry but to be able to do enough damage to kill bosses with it is really fun to do you just run out of bullets really quick but think of it this way if you where's this guy if you're using your gun to parry anyway then parrying with a high damaging gun means that you're just doing even more damage you do a lot of damage with the shot to parry them and then you do a lot of damage with the visceral so look how this guy died oh he's got a little nub and tail ew ghost um oh yeah the armor's in here i do want to be in here it's just kind of it's a stinky room they hit you with darts that like make the everyone more aggro to you these girls scream and they stick you in place ugh but you do get the executioner's gloves from this which is a very good arcane weapon use the executioner's gloves on the amygdala easy fight or the black sky eye but you don't get that until dlc i think yeah black sky eye is dlc after ludwig who i just beat but you get the cool outfit here the night scarb it's still really cool don't get me wrong uh take off this or not it actually looks kind of dope it's a really cool outfit just i think or maybe it's lady maria's outfit that i'm thinking of they kind of like change depending on the body types i think this one has a bit more color and the fit of it is a bit nicer on the other body type but um it's not that strong it doesn't really give you that much resistance but it does sell for a lot of money which is we're all about capitalism over here shortcut well actually the way forward too not just a shortcut can't progress without this this boss should be pretty manageable with this because i'm quite level 80 something and i do so much damage i should be able to [ __ ] them up it says phase two that might mess me up but you can parry that phase and if i can get one of those off then it's kind of game over it's a fun fight though it's just the the walk to it is kind of annoying also this this level design is fun but it's also kind of [ __ ] because if you're if you're new to this franchise and you don't really know where you can walk you i don't think you're going to think about coming over to this location unless there's something i'm missing that shows clearly you can walk over here but it kind of feels like you're you're gonna die if you fall onto that rooftop at least i would think so if i played this game the first time uh make sure i'm full health why not doesn't really matter but it's nice to be topped up all righty here we go i don't think beast blood palette is too handy for this fight but i'll i mean i'll do it anyway [Applause] and this is murder logarius who alfred was talking about frozen in place [Music] [Applause] oh so cool he's dope they all are who am i kidding but just that crown and the skull looming in the distance as he walks through the fog and the bells ringing wonderful hopefully like some people who aren't even into the series maybe they'll walk and it's not working i'm being so [ __ ] careless can we get into the fight properly yet there we go god this is going terribly okay there we go because you can kind of break him there and get him stuck nice really clean really really nice started off a little sloppy uh it worked out in the end really really clean then you pick up his crown let's see what the crown says one of the precious secrets of cainhurst the old king's crown is said to reveal illusions and expose a mirage that hides a secret and so logarius donned the crown of his own volition determined to prevent a single soul from summoning stumbling upon the vile secret what visions did he see sitting serenely upon his new throne hell yeah i got blood all over my face because he's wearing this in his throne up here's what happens if i go up to it it is the crown of illusions after all so don't blow away cameraman hell yeah it's hiding a lot i wonder if you can see that from the start of cainhurst as you're coming in i i do like how many secret things there are in these games in all the prom soft games i can't wait to discover all of them in eldon ring should we leave the crown on i kind of like my hat better but there is something about the dinglebank king that looks really cool it just fits you know or get thee gone or get the gone this is who alfred's looking for this lady i forget what her name is i think she tells me visitor moon scented hunter i am annalise queen of castle cainhurst ruler of the vile bloods and sworn enemy of the church that was it yet our people are murdered and we are prisoner to this wretched mask what is it that in search of so you can swear both of them that's where you get the you can go buy the chicago then at the store in the hunter's dream um so you can become one of them alfred is trying to look for her to kill her uh and she's the last remaining queen of the vile she's the last remaining vileblood i think and queen of them and she's i think she's basically immortal uh i think if i swear fealty to her i think i get the the cainhurst set in the store i mean does this really matter because i'm not joining any covenants but hunter thou art indeed we've tired of these piteous nights share in our plight and take oath against the church if thou wouldst this path walk i pretty partake of my rotted blood very well drink deep of our blood apparently i'm kissing her hand from very far away we too the very last on this earth nice we await thy return for the honor of cainhurst it's just it's a cool one to join get a decent look at her she has to wear that mask um and then you can bring these summons back to alfred but i like i really like the armor if i'm thinking right because joining different covenants doesn't really i joined the league and then i joined this one and it's not like anything really happens i think it's more pvp based if you're a vile blood then people who swear to the church can come hunt you which is kind of cool but can i buy the set yeah oh costs a lot though 844k for the middle part i might be able to get that no this is not even close [Music] should have kept the other writer flash cells for 10k evelyn sells for 11k surely i have something i i'm not going to use any of these these are all for uh the dungeons i'm not going to be doing those in this place whoa that's all for a lot holy [ __ ] um kane hurst armor i do like the tomb prospector outfit too can i afford that ah so close um but let me put this one on it's so awesome oh yeah the knights outfit that i could have sold damn i like it because it looks like actual armor like it's are those pieces of metal but i love this mask with the little hair sticking out the back i think this is this might be my favorite armor in the game besides the the basic one how much does the knights armor sell for actually oh yeah actually i am going to sell the crown my new outfit's cooler but the crown sells for 35 000. that's so much and the the night scarab sells for a [ __ ] on as well and for stuff that just aren't that it's it's more for fashion than it is for function and i think this one looks better oh i need 500 i can get that sell anything nice so close to 50 well i could be at 50 by now but i put stuff into others alrighty nice well that's going to do it for this episode of dinklebs adventures we're getting very very close to the end of the game right now we just have the dlc left to do which is the research hall um we have to fight the living failures lady maria that was to do fishing hamlet and then we have orphan of cause which is one of the hardest bosses in all of the fromsoft games definitely the hardest boss in this game so that might take us a while and then we fight german and our secret ending boss and then we're done so
