Hardest boss in the game (END)

so here you are once more you foul tarnished stepping into the boots of elden lord thinking that you can make a difference put those foolish ambitions to rest welcome back everybody you foul tarnished to what is going to be the last episode of elden ring we're all gonna have to hold each other at the end of this and realize that the series is going to be no more soon it's so sad to think whenever a series is going to end especially knowing when it's the last episode makes me really sad but there's some light at the end of the tunnel because we have some really cool bosses that we've yet to fight they also patched the game recently uh since i've been gone a bit uh forewarning i'm sick right now i'm a little ill you probably sense it in my voice you can hear it it's not the big sick you know the one that everyone's scared of these days i have beard hairs in my mouth again but i do have a cold i've tested and i've tested and i've tested and it's not the big sick it's just a cold which arguably is just as annoying right now but i wanted to play this game and i wanted to finish off this series because i've been really enjoying it and i think we're rounding it out nicely we're gonna go down and fight melania uh but they have patched the game recently where rivers of blood still okay i have no idea how i thought i was going to get nerfed into oblivion uh but it's still fine and melania actually got slightly buffed because now i think she heals without hitting you we'll see what happens but anyway look at this at orlando looking place and orlando is a place in uh dark souls one and they kind of reuse this sort of architecture and these like bridges and archways and stuff all the time uh every one of their games sort of has it so that's what this reminds me of uh but we need to go down into some disgusting areas just some real gross sicko areas and then after this we just go back to the capitol and fight four bosses and then we're done that's kind of it what's up here again i forget what's this okay i like a picasso is this don't need it but good to have it my pockets are getting heavy and my bank account is getting wealthy that's all dinklebab cares about going to be the greatest elden lord ever i've been really like perusing the lands between getting through it really understanding the people getting up in their faces and seeing what they're all about and seeing what they like fighting for i think i'm going to be a great elden lord elphaale brace of the hallach tree nice very cool very sexy good job eldon ring is my sword fully upgraded plus 10 yeah okay we're maxed out baby we can do this what's up how strong am i against you oh not not the scarlet rod pretty strong oh you dropped your sword do you have any idea how many times i've wanted that is it this one that i've always wanted or have i had this one before impaling thrust maybe i've had it before maybe he drops it every time but it's cool everybody's weapons are so cool why is the coolest though because it's fun and at the end of the day that's what we're here to do right to have fun we saw this thing oh yeah i love that it has like so much range to it it's not a decent sword on its own if you just smack smack smack it's still good but i absolutely adore its moveset this is why you don't trim your beard before you record all of you recording beard trimmers out there bit of a waste but looks cool makes me feel badass oh there's a guy behind us as well i killed your friend and now i kill you how many i only have two blue flasks maybe i should up that to three i think i deserve it because then i get to do more of this hell yeah so strong so satisfying so cool okay i need to take it easy my throat can't handle that amount of screaming right now hey hey hey hey you guys are not allowed team up okay where am i going this way bye i don't really need to kill everybody but dan does it feel good it's just in your in here on your own for no reason or does this go this area because there's a lot to see and do but lord knows i don't want to do all of it there's a lot of hard dudes in here and then we get to like scarlet rot areas and everybody hates me does this go to anything oh how do i get up there i can't jump that oh probably up on that what do you think i am jumping huh huh come on just die don't make me bust out the big moves okay those ones are and i call everything else souls because i never had that in uh bloodborne i still call them souls but i never call them bonfires because you never sit down at them you just time travel with them uh what should i do arcane i guess there's not a whole lot else to do anymore you can get this guy actually i can with the trusty help of double bap i can already summon him out there well that's unfortunate oh oh gee oh yeah that does go damage oh oh oh there's a lot of you okay okay get in there dublin no i didn't realize that my flask didn't heal my health all the way all it did was half of it then he killed me in one shot no double bound oh well back to square one get in there double map round two let's go oh everyone's cap oh oh no that's the scarlet rots oh no oh god did you heal you can heal okay i don't want that i don't want that you're spewing the rots everywhere it's gross it's icky no one likes you what healed them are you healing them do you have healing magic okay i need to save him from these no you guys just heal oh god double bam's dead oh god reset reset it's all gone wrong what is happening they're able to heal he has like an urgery heal as well that he heals both of them at the same time dublin goes in and dies immediately this stinks i'm just gonna do this i need to get rid of him first because he's spewing all sorts of nasty everywhere okay okay like two of you really at the same time who would do that who would fight with two people at the same time a lunatic wait you can't you can't come in here bro big boy and you're about to die no i ran out i would say die an honorable death but there's nothing honorable about you bro why did i turn into an la person when i did that look at this look at this oh too slow sippy bippy why don't you drink fight melania soon she is not fun it's okay it's scarlet rot but we keep playing we keep recording because i love my audience i love my community and i love elder ring i'm doing this for you guys we're staying it together it's not my sickness it's our sickness i haven't had a cold in like two and a half years it sucks i forgot how annoying they were i haven't i haven't been i'm immune i have an immune system like a wet paper towel there's poke holes in me which actually i do i went to a nutritionist remember i had all those digestive issues years ago and i wanted to get them sorted out it turns out they're still happening so i've been going to a nutritionist to try and like root out the source of it um and it turns out i can't digest protein properly and i also lack a certain bacteria in my intestines that make me i don't say immune compromise because that's a bit more serious than what i have but it does make me uh have less immunity so uh it all kind of makes sense you know okay this is it this is the big one the big melon her name is melania so i'm going to call her melon um this is i think the hardest boss in the game because she just sucks okay we'll see when we get in uh but i want to pop one of these bad boys and do i have any other armor that's stronger that would get me through this a bit better i mean it's stronger but it's not really going to change a whole lot is it like it's a bit stronger but let's face it she's still going to pound me into the ground wait i can put this on and still be medium load let's go look at that don't i look cool why am i screaming anyway melania sucks because she's got really strong attacks but she's also got an attack that's really hard to dodge and then she also gets health back when she hits you then in her second face she's gonna give a scarlet rot so we're gonna have to see how this goes oh double bad but should be easier and rivers of blood but there's lots of lore to take in in this area in this cutscene if you notice that's a face up there i think it'll zoom in a little bit in a second i dreamt for so long my flesh was dull gold and my blood rotted corpse after corpse left in my wake as i awaited his return she's so cool heed my words i am melania blade of mikala and i have never known defeat oh yeah well i'm dinklebamp son of double bet and i have never known the touch of a woman okay here we go first phase won't be too bad let's get double bap ready especially with two rivers of blood you can just ruin her really quick nice good staggers no water fowl dance yet she's gonna do it now though stuck in double band okay we got this we're getting good uh slightly better rng on the moves get her double bob get her she's so close stop about get her oh god i'm yeah baby first try the mark of a true lord happy about that nice dear nichola oh dearest nicola my brother i'm sorry i finally met my manager yeah never been defeated huh think about in a building damn that was that was exhilarating i mean we still absolutely destroyed her and it wasn't even close but that was really fun especially considering how annoying that boss was on my first time and how much it took me to beat them to get in there and absolutely shred them is so fun i love that um i guess i can get this up closer to 60 if i want um okay so lower time oh wait actually oh there it is i thought i had to go outside and rest but this is the the scarlet bloom flower so melania is the reason that caled exists the way it does this area all the way down here where rodan is she fought radan years ago or whatever it was i don't know and she basically injected him with the scarlet rock because she was born with it or maybe it's maybelline i don't know but she bloomed in uh aeonia let's actually go here is this a stray i thought it said ashtray so i can show you so this i showed you this plant over here before in the distance like right in line with my head that one i think is where she bloomed the first time i could be wrong but this was just my interpretation of it the first time through and i haven't looked into it any further but i think she bloomed here because that's called the heart of the swamp or heart of aeonia um so that's where her flower bloomed once and then another time uh which is the one that we fought her at yeah so then her flower bloomed again here um and she's born with the rot in her so she's just afflicted by it the same way her brother michala was born um forever as a child i think they said they were so that face that's in this tree i think is mykola that gap right there the sort of spherical hole is where the egg was that remember we went we fought mog and michela was in that in the egg and the hand fell out of it i think that egg was in here in the halek tree and michaela was like being born in the halacha tree and the halal tree was growing around them and growing up and they were going to be born and healed and they were going to grow the halak tree big enough so that they could heal melania with it so melania wouldn't have scarlet rot anymore and she's really cool because she has like i don't think any of her limbs are her own i think they're all prosthetics at this point and she can't see because the scarlet rot is just tearing her apart from the inside but she's still fighting and she's still a fearsome warrior she's never ever been beaten until now um but i don't think she realizes that nicola is gone because she was asleep and michelle was taken by mog while she was sleeping so she's getting up and she's fighting for something that's not even here anymore which i could just get up and be like yo i found your brother uh mog stole him um he was a bit of a weirdo a bit incestuous um so i killed him rightfully so uh and i found your brother he's actually okay he's still semi alive in this egg you could probably just go get him and bring him back and then we're all hunky daisies and there's actually a golden needle that you can get that heals scarlet rat or at least subsides it a bit so if you wanted that like i don't know but she reminds me of a lady maria in bloodborne because she's kind of just she's tough as nails she's a badass female character she's one of the coolest fights in the game and she's like sitting by a chair just kind of like asleep by the time you get there i do think this fight is sort of [ __ ] it's it's really really hard and you can get through it if you really learn the moves but i really think all they have to do is get rid of her healing ability i mean i this is just for me and i'm not trying to say this is what they should do um a lot of people have different opinions on it but i think i think the fight is cool but it just feels like there's one or two [ __ ] things in it that make it really unfun to fight um so then you have to go in with something like rivers of blood to just tear her to pieces um otherwise it's just really really really hard but i made it look easy with this build uh let's read her thing michela and melania are both the children of a single god as such they are both emperians both suffered afflictions from birth one was cursed with eternal childhood and the other harbored rot within i don't know if um i don't know if melania is the source of all the rot in the lands between or if they have because i think there's something else about an outer god that was like lord of rot and that's where the rot lake was and that was like passed on to melania but i'm not sure the lore is really really dense and it's hard to like put a finger on it one way or the other because it's always kind of left ambiguous uh but you can also get her sword let's go back to the finger reader actually and we'll we'll get a bit more information on her i feel bad because i haven't been reading all of the weapons i can i read the souls and then i move on after i use them for the the souls that i get out of them or the runes whatever um but i keep forgetting to like check these um this is her sword melania's war prosthesis symbolized her victories some claimed to have seen wings when the weapon was raised aloft wings of fierce determination that have never known defeat and she has a move that i we didn't actually see it in this her most [ __ ] move is called waterfowl dance which is like four or five flurries where she like chases you and she just does this like million blade thing it's really annoying especially when she heals in the middle of it but unless you dodge like two of them then it just insta kills you perform a series of one-footed leaps in the manner of a waterfowl to unleash a swifty yet graceful slashing combo um but it's really fun if you want it's the best katana i think in the game so if you want uh if you want to bleed dex weapon and you're using like uchi katana after you defeat melania you should probably switch to this one because it's really good um also has a [ __ ] ton of reach it's massive uh and then you get scarlet aeonia so you can use her like flower bloom if you're a faith character yeah creates a gigantic flower that blooms into an explosion of scarlet rot it's really fun to use each time the scarlet flower blooms melania's rot advances it has bloomed twice already with the third bloom she will become a true goddess so i don't know if that means that it bloomed in aeonia and then when she bloomed fighting me that counts as one um and then if it bloomed again after that it would be she would become a goddess or she's bloomed twice before the fight and beating me would bloom her the third time to make her unbeatable i i don't know what and necessarily what that means um but we shall use her soul nice i'm glad that went well because i was worried that was even with a really strong build like this i was really worried that it would get really hard nice yeah so that hallett tree that we were at is like it wasn't like i don't know if it was made to write i shouldn't talk in absolutes because i don't know the whole story either but i'm talking just from my own experience and perspective and the things that i know but i think the tree that they were building was made to like i don't know if it was made to like purposefully rival the urge tree to be like no this is going to be the one true tree and it's going to defeat whatever's inside that one or they were just trying to build it to make uh to like heal melania i'm not quite sure but it's really cool um so that's most things done oh yeah people are pointing out as well that it said that the fire giant was tending to the fire which to me always meant if you're tending to a fire it means that you're trying to keep the fire alive like if you're attending a fire at campsite you're like stoking the flames and trying to rise the flames keep the fire going all night but i guess tending the fire could mean anything just you're at the fire doing something to it and people were pointing out that the the fire giants fire would never ever go out so she left one fire giant alive so he's tending to it to smolder the flames over and over again because i was like why didn't she just quench the fire but i don't think it's possible so he has like the plate on his head to catch snow so he can dump it into the cauldron to quench the fire to kind of like keep it at the level that it was at when i saw it uh that would make a lot more sense than me thinking well why did she keep him alive why not just let the fire die out um so i guess tending i i had it just the opposite way around tending meant the other way um or at least that's my running theory now because that makes far more sense but yeah very very cool back to the capital we're actually getting ready to finish off the game we could go down into the sewers remember i stood on this plate before and i was like oh the sewers will be open later part of me wants to like show it to you because oh full playthrough and all that but it's it's a really really [ __ ] area it's my least favorite area in the game it looks bad you don't get a whole lot out of it uh the bosses and stuff down there are not that cool you can go find dung eater down there if you want but he's also not as cool as i thought he was going to be so i usually just avoid it um but if you have the game or if you want to look at somebody else's playthrough or if you want to see more of it you can that way um there's been a lot of stuff that i've skipped up until this point and i like just kind of giving you a laser focused look at the game giving you like lore and story and characters and kind of showing you the cooler locations i don't really feel necessary that i have to show you absolutely everything in the game because that would just be a far bigger series um and i'm very proud of the pace that we've been going at in this game but it does mean that we're coming up to the end of it because these next couple of bosses will go down pretty quick with this build it's so cool to see that all of this changed because they had oh a golden seed how many do i have two uh i would need five i think to upgrade um they've gotten into like state changes with their games since they kind of did it with bloodborne with the time of day as that as you would defeat bosses the time of day would change it would go to night time and then with sekido they te they like did a bunch more where you go to the castle and then after a while the castle will get overrun so you had to get back into the castle it got a little annoying because you had to do it like three times in that game um and each time i was like doing the castle for the first time again but then in this game they they tried it more with like a state change of this whole place being covered in ash i think that's cool i think from soft are getting really good they got really good at like their level design their animations their their characters and like the movement systems of everything and the combat mechanics and now they've been experimenting with other stuff outside of that like open world time of day changes like real time and then state changes in the world like that i i hope that they i hope they make another more linear game kind of like bloodborne um next and they take all of that and put all of the stuff they've learned in this one and put it into that so you still have like dynamic time of day and or at least like really lean into the state changes of things kind of like berserk's eclipse kind of stuff i love that um i like when the world changes with you makes it makes it feel lived in oh look who it is sir gideon off near the all-knowing who knighted him we don't know he could just be calling himself sir let's come down to this huh me versus you ah i knew you'd come to stand before the elden ring to become elden lord what a sad state of affairs i commend your spirit but alas none shall take the throne queen america has high hopes for us that we continue to struggle continue to struggle unto eternity so yeah if you we'll try and get because i can really kill him quick but i want to see some of his moves so he's using like mog's blood magic he's using the black flame from the apostles he's using glintstone sorcery my god double band can just fight him all on his own that's mog stuff that's from rio lucaria he has that i've never seen him use that before okay healing all right time to put a an end to your foolish ambitions cannot become a lord not even you a man cannot kill a god i am no man i i'm greater than any man that has walked before well that was gideon so if you remember at the start of the game he said that he was gonna he wanted to become elden lord as well and he let you kind of get on with stuff because he said well our paths align we both want to get to the urgery we both want to become elden lord so let's work together now and then it was like let's face each other when the time comes so now that everything is open that you can go into the archery he's like okay time to fight but when you get to him here he's changed his mind because he said that a man cannot become elden lord that he well let's read scepter in the form of gold of a hand grasping a pearl signature weapon of sir gideon after the all-knowing the pearl stands for the world the heavens and an eye representing the many forms of knowledge never fully attainable even knowing that the all-knowings hand grasps for it it's really cool his staff is awesome um and then he gave us his stuff as well which i think has to be modeled after sort of like the witch king or sauron in lord of the rings right it's so similar uh knowledge begins with the recognition of one's ignorance the realization that the search for knowledge is unending but when gideon glimpsed into the will of queen america he shuddered in fear at the end that should not be so he learned something in the middle of all of that all his knowledge searching all his books he he probably found something that made him realize [ __ ] i don't want to become elden lord um so maybe we'll see what it is what say you bruv he is returned the lord has returned at long last our very first lord to brandish the elden ring once more he's back is he who's back who dare stand in front of dinklebamp i mean we already know who it is it's godfrey because we fought his ghost in here before or his ghost his his grace i guess you could say and yeah it said that melania and mikala were born of a single god and i think since america and radagon are the same being i wonder if that means that it's like it's all it's almost is hermaphroditic a word um with like well maybe they just don't have any genitals at all because they're gods and they can produce asexually um but it's kind of like since they're like two halves of one being that they came and made like babies that way that or they just kind of will uh offspring into existence um but i think because they were born of that i don't know if they're born that must mean they're born post-merging right and radagon and america are merged together then they're born and that's why they're afflicted with stuff but there might be other lore that uh contradicts that i don't know back in we go her tree heel pretty good heel it's a lot different looking than the last time we were here last night was all golden and glorious and now it's all nice let's read his stuff the power of its names oh uh when god free first elden lord was robbed of his grace becoming tarnished he took with him his kin folk and left the lands between after the long march of the tarnish came to an end godfrey divested himself of kingship becoming a simple warrior once more so he was married to queen marika at one point in the story and then he had his grace and then he was uh kicked out and then he lost his grace so he became the very he not only was the first elden lord he was the first tarnished um and for a long time i thought oh she kicked them out and she didn't want him anymore and then she brought radagon in because he left ranala and it was like this big thing that was all happening but then i was reading some stuff online i can't remember what it was but i think somebody said that she kind of like sent him away on a mission to do something else so it seems like queen america is like this giant mastermind of so many things that are happening that she was sort of over the killing of her own son maybe and randy's thing and stealing a piece of the rune of death and then she sent godfrey away to do something else like she had this big master plan of something else that was supposed to happen maybe that's me coming in and defeating whatever's in there to like change whatever's going on but it feels like there's a lot more to it than what she was doing like she wasn't just doing stuff for the sake of doing it like there was a big plan in the background but i don't know uh let's go to the finger reader and see what his stuff says you get his axe and the big hand slam that he does weapon of godfrey eldon lord it was broken in a battle fought as leader of the tarnished during the long march this weapon is symbolic of godfrey's vow to conduct himself as a lord later becoming an emblem of the golden lineage in the days of the past a crown was warranted with strength and that's interesting that most people you beat in this game since everybody talks after they're dead always say like foul tardis you'll never be elden lord you can't do this oh my power but melania and godfrey are like the only two that when you kill them they're like your strength befits a crown i i was defeated by someone better than me so they get it uh horelu's earth shaker slam both hands onto the ground to violently shake the earth and unleash a shockwave follow up with yeah unable to use on usable on all melee armaments um so his name is godfrey when he became elden lord like that was his his graceful moniker like a man of the people dignified royalty and surosh was you know how america had malakath and uh ronnie had blyth godfrey also had sriracha so it's it's kind of like jojo's stanz how they're like i like his one though because it's kind of like grafted onto his back and kind of like a ghostly figure but surosh was put on him to subdue his his desire for battle so he he was horolu when he came to the lands between and he was just a fearsome warrior completely bloodthirsty wanted to kill everything and fight all the time and then when he became elden lord they were like you need to be more dignified you can't do that anymore so he he grafted saurash to him to kind of like hold back it's like hold me back bro hold me back he grafted him to him to kind of like hold back his bloodlust and then when i get him to half health he's like oh crap i need to go all out here i need to go sicko mode and then he killed sirosh um and said you did me good service and then starts fighting with all of his power as hora liu and like i said before nefeli is also a warrior and her name was nefeli liu so i think they're from the same clan outside of the lands between i think it's pretty cool it's cool lore um and i think the great march is like all the way back through the lands between like he started at the capitol and walked all the way down like this path all the way down here i think is the long march going all the way down along it goes all the way down and then he came down here and there's a couple of guys out here that we go by like with the carriages and the giants and i think they're still doing that like long march but i don't know maybe i just assumed because there's that one road leading the entire way up through the entire map um maybe okay final two bosses as you can see the thorns are no more this these fights are going to be a little harder because they can't be bled but rivers of blood should still do enough damage to get me through it but we'll see i [ __ ] love that so that was queen mariko and then her hair shifts from blonde to red she becomes radigon that's so awesome and then this is the main menu music god this gets you so hype i almost cried the first time i saw this i was so giddy that's the elden ring right inside him because he's the vessel for it oh wait ratagon of the golden order this guy took me so long the first time i fought him because i didn't use the mimic i use like a plus three omen killer summon and i was doing no damage and it was so tough i had to like learn all the moves and do it so carefully oh man clearly i've learned all the moves and remember all of them and em no no no no [ __ ] [ __ ] i messed it up i meant to heal but i did an extra dodge i got greedy i got greedy i got away with it though no wrong one i missed my d-pad oh i wasted a flask dang it okay good good good whoa mama he's he's the easy part of this he's predictable yeah that's the elden ring because it's the full form of it it's the entire insignia [Music] [Music] the first time i beat ratagon as well it took me so long and then i finally did it and then it was like there's a phase two i got so mad i was doing it with like two little daggers took me forever i love this sort of translucent texture effect that they've started doing in this game i hope they do more of that in future so cool looking this is the elden beast so cool but this fight is kind of stinky because he's not really weak to anything and he flies all over the place i think this fight was initially designed to have torrent involved as well because there's a lot of attacks where he he goes like across the map like a dragon i feel like you're probably supposed to be on torrent for a lot of this what are you doing what attack are you doing oh god run still hitting me jesus [Music] i don't even know where you are can't see [ __ ] get in there double bath [Music] bubble bath isn't doing anything you go sticking with it i don't know if i can get any staggers with rivers of blood can i because right now would be a good time for a stagger oh you got this double vamp i'll do most of the work just survive i want to have you at the end i'm getting very lucky with these attacks he didn't do any of the attacks let's go nice first try baby the elden remembrance that's it bubba bab where are you hell yeah so here you can summon ronnie that was if you don't do her quest this sign isn't here otherwise you just go up and you go through that one and you do that ending but yeah their body's not gone we're not gonna end just yet i'm so glad we did it first try as well this sword is so dumb um i mean it doesn't matter what i'm leveling up anymore but let's uh let's read this soul it was the vassal beast of the greater will and living incarnation of the concept of order so yeah let me look it up i never really knew the difference between a vassal and a vessel a vassal is a holder of land by feudal tenure on conditions of homage and allegiance so this is just like they're representative in the lands between like they're holding the land for the greater will whatever that god looks like but let's bring it back to enya and see what she says because a vessel then is the holder of something so radagon is the vessel of the elden ring and the elden beast is the vassal of the greater will did i get that right so they they kind of go hand in hand um and i i adore that cutscene i think that cutscene of america on top of that thing on top of the shard of the elder ring that's left is my favorite uh cut scene in the game because anything crazy happens but i love that symbolism i love the way it looks i love the framing of it i love seeing her like long sort of cape flow down as she's just hanging there and then you realize all the stakes of america that you can resurrect at all look like that maybe i can find one before we finish to show you what i mean um you can get radagon's hammer or america's hammer actually a stone hammer made in the lands of the newman outside the lens between that's where america is from the tool with which queen america shattered the elden ring and radagon attempted to repair it the hammer partially broke upon shattering the ring becoming splintered with rune fragments and then you can get gold breaker which is radagon's attack where he went up into the air and then he charged it up and slammed it down i've always wanted to do a play through with this sword or this uh hammer or this sword but you need to beat the game to do it so they're new game plus weapons and i don't like that america shattered the elden ring out of either disgust or some master plan that she had against the greater will my in my head she just she became i like to think of america as like a mastermind that she didn't just rise to power and killed a bunch of things and then uh rebelled when her son got killed i was like oh my son died well i'm shattering this thing i like to think that america came to the lands between saw the influence of the greater will and just wanted to change it she wanted to be like a person of the people or something like that because i just like that sort of cd sort of like the long con kind of aspect to it but it could be just as simple as her son died and she went crazy and smashed the ring um but yeah she shattered the elden ring and it went everywhere the first cutscene or the first trailer for the game showed her shattering the elder ring with that hammer and then when that happened the hammer split and then since then radagon's been trying to repair it or he did try and repair it with the hammer not since then um but he couldn't so she was imprisoned forever inside the earth tree so she couldn't do anything else again uh and this is the sacred relic sword that the elden beast was using sword wrought from the remains of a god who should have lived a life eternal thoughts on what the weapon portends are manny and varied some consider in some considerate the mark of a great sin or a sign of great devastation some think it is the end of an age while others at the beginning so because i'm able to get that sword it means that it's either something horrible happened or something great happened because the greater will is no more and the elden beast well the greater will still exists just its influence on the lands between has gone um so yeah i i kind of hoped that when you defeated the elden beast you would come in here and the fingers would be dead or something but then i remember that the greater will still exists that outer god is still somewhere out there outside the lands between and they're still convening with it and i don't know if they even know that the elden beast is dead yet or ratagon is dead but basically what that means is all this time you've been like playing to become elden lord that you were like building yourself up um wait i wanted to show you uh a stake of america i wanted you were trying to become elden lord which would mean marrying queen america you would become her lord but she would still be a god but you went a step further and became god yourself so technically my character is a god now because i slayed a god um yeah things like this so this is the summoning pool but that's like america on the shard of the elden ring trapped and there's a bunch of it you can see these guys down here next to the tree sentinel maybe we should fight the tree sentinel these guys are strapped up like she was crucified for her sins it's very it's very religious it's very jesus are you kidding me are you kidding me right at the end of the game why there we go i think we're safe now do you think double band gets a torrent as well dude you see that tree up there yeah i wouldn't mess with me if i were you ruined absolutely wrecked god damn i'm so strong do you see that guys well you're you're super dead all right let's do it let's end this [ __ ] um i did have a plan at one point there's multiple endings you can get and i in my head i had a fun idea at one point that i was gonna do the whole quest for ranny on video and then right at the very end of the game i was going to pull the rug from everyone watching and do the chaos ending i was going to do that and rogue pull everyone and kind of like troll all of you watching and i thought that that was fun in my head and then the more i played and the more i got into randy stuff and i started reading comments for people and everyone was so excited about it like it felt like it would have just been mean and it felt like everyone would have just been annoyed if i did that because you would have wanted to see ronnie's ending it's not worth the content my wife the battle is over i see i do solemnly swear that i am up to no good to every living being and every living soul now cometh the age of the stars a thousand-year voyage under the wisdom of the moon here begins the chill night that encompasses all reaching the great beyond into fear doubt and loneliness as the path stretcheth into darkness let us go together my dear consort eternal she loves me nice age of the stairs i don't necessarily know exactly what thank you miyazaki and george or martin i don't know exactly what her ending entails and what she means because it sounds a lot more sinister than i think it's supposed to oh that was another thing people keep bringing up that oh rani's ending is mistranslated in the game and this happens every time with all of the from soft games people love to do this there's always a couple of articles to come out afterwards where someone translates everything strictly from japanese directly into english like they take all the words and they directly translate them into english and for a long time i thought that as well god what is in my eye i thought that oh man they mistranslated it like they did a poor job in it but they do terrific jobs on the translations in these games and i it wasn't until i actually started dating evelyn that because evelyn's fluent in japanese and she's done a lot of translation work as well that she told me that a lot of what's translated is like insinuation and kind of like feeling and mood and sort of it's not you can't just translate it literally because japanese is not the same type of language as english which any of you who speak other languages will know have you ever had like a word in another language that like encompasses a whole feeling a whole sort of mood vibe feeling emotion into one word and you can't translate it directly into english because there is no word for it because it doesn't exist and it's hard to do that so that's why translation work is always like you can't just directly translate it and do something else with it because everyone kept saying that rani's ending meant something else and if you translate it properly it's a lot darker than it sounds but the people who are paid to translate these games are very very good at it big professionals get paid a lot of money to do it so i think they know what they're doing um but then people just love a story and they love seeing those articles and then running with it there's a bunch of people who make youtube videos on it saying that it's not what you think it is because it's like hey i know a thing that you don't know but from what i've seen and i showed it to evelyn as well and she was like no it i mean it could mean that but it could it i think they did a good job of it in the game um and i agree with that i think i think it's probably exactly how it's intended to be but a lot of people on my videos were saying like jack no it's different than you think and you're probably gonna say it on this one as well so just to say that no that's not always the case japanese is a complex language and you can't just translate it directly into english and expect the same sort of um connotations to apply it's all about what you want to get across versus what is directly being translated if that makes sense um so yeah i don't know what ronnie's ending actually entails maybe the everyone goes to the moon clearly the moon has a big power to play in the lore of this game um you have a lot of like moon spells and moon magic and the thought of the stars and gravity and everything is very prominent in these games so or in this game specifically so there's a lot more to it i hope we get dlc for the game i figure if we get dlc it'll probably probably be based around ronnie's stuff because her seems like the sort of biggest gap right now in the story um and they usually do dlcs for their games i think securo is the only one that didn't do a dlc for but i think that's fine becauseekito is a much more straightforward game the story plays out like right in front of you it's not like based around item descriptions and things like that as much so i would love dlc for this the the dlc for dark souls 1 and bloodborne's dlcs or dlc and dark souls 3's dlcs are like the best dlcs ever because there's so much more they like really harken back to that old days of when you got expansion packs for things where it wasn't just hey here's a couple of new weapons they they expound upon the story give you brand new characters really fun boss fights the dlcs are sometimes better than the actual uh than the actual game itself some of the weapons you get in them are more fun um so i'd love to see that in elden ring i think since i've played elder ring so much when i played it the first time i was like it's bloodborne and then elden ring i thought that that was the way my mind kind of got made up about it i thought man this is so good and it's right up in the top three for me already um but having more time to like think about it having played through it a bunch of times now and seeing how certain things play out and the sort of pace of the game and everything bloodborne is still undefeated to me it's still the greatest game that they've made and i think it might be the greatest game they ever make because it's such a hard one to top i don't know if they'll ever do a a sequel to it it's highly doubtful because sony computer entertainment japan i think is no more anymore and they were the publishing house for bloodborne and bloodborne was also exclusive so sony have the rights to it and sony probably won't do anything with it again because they just want to move forward and do other stuff that's going to do massive numbers who knows maybe the elden rings were like 12 million 12 million units the last time i saw so maybe it's big enough now that they'll want to do a sequel to bloodborne but i don't think bloodborne was nearly close to that at all it was probably like a quarter of that or a third of it um but at least please sony please for the love of god don't let bloodborne die on the ps3 don't let it be the way it is like i can play it on my ps5 but it's still locked to 30 fps it still has horrible frame pacing it has terrible anti-aliasing huge chromatic aberration although that's an artistic thing um like the textures are so muddy looking now like please just a 4k 60 fps cleaned up version of it that's all i need i don't even need like a remake i don't need that would be great but i don't need it i just want the game to play as well as these ones do now because it's the only one that doesn't it's the only one that's 30 fps and it's sad to see that when you go back and play it you can really tell and then the visuals are just like so blurry looking because the it's i don't even think it's 1080p is it 1080p probably but we need more um but yeah bloodborne's still undefeated to me it just takes all of my boxes uh personally um and then sekiro i think is my second because i didn't like sekido when it came out first i thought it was way too different there was no build variety in it you couldn't like pick a class and go with it build a dex build or a strength build um but i i go back to secure a lot because i love how that game plays i love the world in it i love the art design i love the colors in it it's just a phenomenally made game and then probably elden ring and then dark souls 3 then dark souls 1 and then dark souls 2. uh but yeah hopefully you guys enjoyed elton ring i know i don't show everything in these playthroughs part of me is also because i love these games so much and i want more people to get into them so i want you to go ahead and play it for yourself or just go around and look at other people playing it if you can't afford a system to play it on or you're really really really not going to play it um but i just want more people to play these games because i want more people to get involved in the community and i wanted to grow even bigger and bigger and have more of these games get made over the years will i start journey to now i like this thing that brought in as well i think they maybe they started in two but definitely in dark souls 3 it's like you can do new game plus now or you can get the weapons i guess you could do that you could finish the game as quick as you can and then get that sword or the hammer and then go back and do a bunch of other bosses but at that point you're gonna be so strong um but i do like that they give you the option um but yeah now we've done bloodborne and elden ring on my channel and honestly it's been such a breath of fresh air for me because for the longest time i thought if i did these series that nobody would watch them because i thought that well before eldon ring that the souls community and fromsoft and everything was still a pretty small community in regards to people watching it on youtube um but i'm shocked a pleasantly surprised that so many people have watched these series and taken them on board and just having such a blast at them and i've gotten so many comments of people saying that they've never been into the souls games they've always wondered what the hype is they were never going to play them themselves and i've been like a gateway for them to get into it and that's awesome that makes me really happy to think that more people are getting into this and that's like explaining the lore and everything to people like that is really fun to do to kind of like hold your hand and bring you along and not have to like faff about with like oh what does this build mean and what was like going over stats and things like you're just getting a more campaign driven experience that way and then for everyone who is into these games to see them kind of like cheer on and be like jack you like these games and so do i and i'm so glad you're finally playing them on your channel and now i get to see why you like them so much because i talk about them so much that i've gotten pretty good at the games and it's just kind of fun to have a game on my channel or a genre on my channel that i'm actually decent at and not kind of like learning as i go um and i like that as well just been really fun to do and because of that i think i'll go back and play some of the other ones as well i i've been really loving dark souls 1 again before elden ring came out i went back and played all of the other ones again still don't really like dark souls 2 um i just hate how that game controls and i hate the enemy placement in it um i mean maybe someday but i just feel like it's it's such a miserable experience to play through i really really tried to give it a fair shot and i just couldn't vibe with it at all um but i still really like dark souls one it's much clunkier and slower than these games now and it's kind of hard to go back to in that regard but it's still really fun um demon souls i actually did on twitch and i uploaded it to the clips channel when that happened but then the clips channel changed from like a vod channel to clips so maybe i could get that and edit it all down and upload that because i did play all of the remake on twitch that one time and that was really fun to do um but definitely dark souls 3 i want to do so dark souls 1 and dark souls 3 i've been thinking about doing um so if you want me to do those don't just like say yes we'd love that like leave a like on the video because that really tells me how many people are into that because so many people just say yes i would love that but it's hard to like count that but i think dark souls 3 at least would be really fun to do because i can absolutely plow through that game and have done i can finish that game in like nine hours i think um and then dark souls one i think i'd like to do as well i i've been toying around with the idea of doing all of dark souls 3 in one video and i think that that would be cool but i also really like the idea of a series because for this it's like it's really nice to have something for people to like come to every day and like have something to look forward to and whenever it goes up to like oh the next part and not everyone has enough time to go through it but i've done elder ring and bloodborne that way now so it might be fun to do all of dark souls three in like a massive like five hour video um and edit in the best bits or dark souls one i think that would be really cool but they also have dlcs as well so i don't know i just love that idea as well of having like a massive chunk of one video that people can like just take and like here's the whole game for you you know how binge shows come out now and it's like some shows come out weekly and then other shows are like here's all of the series all at once just i like doing that as well so we'll see i'll play around with that idea let me know what you guys think and let me know what you think about elden ring uh how would you rate it what do you think about it did you enjoy the series and also any of your theories about what was going on in the story if you've watched a bunch of other videos on elden ring and the story and if i've missed some things and uh or said things wrong and kind
