hey guys Omaha here today I'm going over the Illusion subclass for The Wizard and showing all of its spells and abilities so Wizards Master the Arcane by specializing in individual schools of magic combining ancient spells with modern research as a wizard you're gonna get weapon proficiencies and daggers quarter stops and light crossbows this is going to add your proficiency bonus to attack roles with these weapon types you're then going to choose three can drips from Acid Splash bone chill Firebolt poison spray Ray of frost shocking grasp blade Ward friends Dancing Lights light magehand minor illusion and true strike then you're going to choose six spells from burning hands charm person chromatic orb color spray disguise self expeditious retreat false life feather fall magic Missile Mage Armor long Strider and hand sleep ice knife Greece bog Cloud find familiar protection from evil and good Rave sickness Shield OSHA's hideous laughter Thunder Wave and which Bolt then you're gonna apply your ability points keeping in mind intelligence is your most important ability that's going to affect your spell casting ability which influences your chance to hit with certain spells spell save DC the higher that is the harder it is to resist your spells and your spell attack which is a bonus to your melee and arranged spell attacks improving your chance to hit with certain spells and for classes that need to prepare spells like the wizard it also affects how many spells you can prepare you're gonna get the class action Arcane recovery replenish spell slots while out of combat you cannot restore spell slots above fifth level these are going to recharge once per long rest so how arcane recovery charges work is the amount of charges you have is equal to the highest spell slot level you have I have level six spells that means I have six charges so I've used a level four spell I want to recharge the level four spell use that it's gonna use four out of my six charges I have two left then you're gonna get two level one spell slots which are restored in the long rest you're then gonna apply your skill proficiencies being able to choose two between Arcana history investigation religion insight and medicine all right then once you get to level two you're gonna choose your subclass for the video I'm choosing illusion you specialize in unraveling and restitching the fabric of reality to fool the unwary the gullible and the Monstrous learning illusion spells from skulls only cost you 25 gold per spell level not 50. you're also going to get a health increase your third level one spell slot illusion Savant subclass feature learning illusion spells from Scrolls costs half as much becoming 25 gold pieces per spell level so on PC if you press K that'll pull up your Spellbook you can click here to learn more spells as a wizard learning a spell from your own School of magic costs less so since I'm School of Illusion any illusion Scrolls that I add here would cost half as much as any other school of magic so you just click on the scroll if you have one here and you click learn it tells you how much gold it's going to cost and how much gold you have you're gonna get the cantrip improved minor illusion you can now cast minor illusion as a bonus action you can remain hidden while casting the spell the spell can be cast while you are silenced that's gonna last 10 turns and it's got a range of 60 feet so how improved minor illusion works is it's the exact same thing as minor illusion it's just a bonus action but basically you can summon a little cat and any enemy that's within audible range of it will go and invest gate and it's really good for setting up like Rogues for assassinations or Wizards for AOE spells you're gonna gain two more spells select from that list and then you're gonna be able to prepare five spells once you hit Level three you get a health increase your fourth level one spell slot your first two level two spell slots I'm gonna choose two more spells now you have access to level two spells Arcane lock blindness blur cloud of daggers crown of Madness darkness dark vision detect thoughts enlarge slash reduce blaming sphere gust of wind old person invisibility knock weapon melps acid Arrow mirror image Misty step phantasma Force Raven feeblement scorching Ray see invisibility shatter and web and then you're going to be able to prepare six spells now all right when you get to level four your health is going to go up you're going to get your third level two spell slot you're going to choose your fourth can trip not including the improved minor illusion that comes with the subclass would be five you're gonna get two spells from this list you're gonna be able to prepare seven spells now and then you're gonna choose your first feet now we're at level five you're gonna get a health increase two level three spell slots and you're gonna choose two spells now having level three spells animate dead the Stow curse link counterspell fear pain death Fireball Grant flight gaseous form Glyph of warding haste hypnotic pattern lightning bolt protection from energy remove curse sleet storm slow stinking cloud and vampiric touch and then you can prepare up to eight spells all right once you hit Level six your health is going to go up you're going to get your third level three spell slot you're gonna get your class action see invisibility blimps invisible creatures and possibly reveal them to others that's going to last until a long rest the range of 30 feet and it's a dexterity saving throw see invisibility is pretty self-explanatory you're gonna be able to see any enemies within this radius if they are invisible some enemies will turn invisible in the middle of a battle so you just cast this and it lasts until a long rest so cast that you're gonna be able to see anybody within that range if they turn invisible and then you're going to choose two spells from the list and then you're gonna be able to prepare nine spells once you hit Level Seven you're gonna get a health increase your first level four spell slot and you're gonna choose two spells now having access to level four spells banishment light Fusion conjure minor Elemental dimension door Ivar's black tentacles fire Shield greater invisibility ice storm autoluc's resilient sphere phantasmo killer polymorph Stone skin and Wall of Fire then you're going to be able to choose 10 spells to keep prepared level eight Health's gonna go up again you're gonna get a second level four spell slot two more spells from the list you're going to be able to prepare 11 spells now and then you can choose your second feet all right once you hit Level Nine your Health's gonna go up you're gonna get your third level four spell slot and your first level 5 spell slot then you can choose two spells now you've got level five spells Cloud kill cone of cold and your Elemental dominate person old monster planar binding seaming telekinesis and Wall of stone and then you can prepare 12 spells total now once you hit Level 10 you're gonna get a health increase your second level five spell slot you're gonna get the subclass feature illusory self you can magically fashion an illusory duplicate of yourself when attacked causing your foe to automatically miss that attack create a looser yourself as a reaction you have to use a short rest to use this feature again but it's going to guarantee that they miss so here I'm going to move he's gonna do an opportunity attack then I have the option to use it or not use it so I'm going to use it and it's going to make him critically Miss you're going to get your fifth can trip and you're gonna gain two more spells and finally you can prepare 13 spells now at level 11 your Health's gonna go up again and you're gonna get your first level six spell slot then you could choose two spells now you've got level six spells Arcane gate chain lightning Circle of Death create Undead disintegrate I bite flush to Stone globe of invulnerability autolux freezing sphere Otto's irresistible dance Sunbeam and Wall of ice and then you can prepare 14 spells total and finally we've got level 12. your Health's gonna go up one final time you're gonna choose two spells on the list you can prepare 15 spells total now and then you choose your third and final feat all right guys and
