hey guys Omar here today I'm going to be going over the storm sorcery subclass for the sorcerer and showing all the Spells and abilities Sorcerers are natural spellcasters drawing on inherent Magic from a gift or bloodline you're gonna get proficiencies in daggers quarter stabs and light crossbows this is going to add your proficiency bonus to attack rolls with these weapon types to start you're going to choose four can trips from blade Ward acid Splash magehand poison spray true strike friends Dancing Lights Firebolt light Ray of Frost shocking grasp minor illusion and Bone chill then you're then going to choose two spells from this list burning hands charm person chromatic orb color spray the sky itself expeditious retreat false life feather fall fog cloud ice knife enhance leap Mage Armor magic Missile Ray of sickness Shield Thunder Wave and witchbolt to start you're gonna get two level one spell slots which are replenished on the long rest you're then gonna choose your subclass for the video I'm choosing storm sorcery whether crackling with the energy of ancient dulages or pierced by Gales and hurricanes your lineage is a strange tapestry scrawled by a tempest and that's going to give you the subclass feature tempestuous magic after you cast a level 1 speller higher you can fly as a bonus action until the end of your turn without receiving opportunity attacks and use a spell over one or higher get the bonus action to fly that's really good for keeping your distance from melee Fighters then you're gonna allocate your points keeping in mind that Charisma is your most important ability that's going to influence your spell casting as well as your spell save DC and your spell attack your spell save DC higher this is the harder it is to resist your spells and spell attack and proves your chance to hit with certain spells so when you get to level two you're gonna get a health increase third level one spell slot two sorcery points that can be used to alter your spells or create extra spell slots two actions create sorcery points spend spell slots to gain sorcery points that's gonna use a bonus action and a level one spell slot for one sorcery points two for two points three for three and so forth so here I can use a level one spell slot to create a sorcery point use one now I have three sorcery points you can spend a level one spell for one point a level two spell for two a level three spell for three and a level four spell for four there's no level five or six create spell slot spend sorcery points to unlock a spell slot bonus action and uses two sorcery points so here I can use a sorcery point to create a spell slot spend two sorcery points to lock a level one spell slot now I'm up to force level one spell slots until I use a long rest it'll go back down to three and these will go back up to two so create spell slot level one is gonna spend two points create spell shot level two is three points base spell side level three is five points level four is six points and level five is seven points and there is no level six you're gonna choose a third spell from the level one spell list you're gonna get two class passives so these are all toggleable and they use sorcery points per use there's metamagic careful spell allies automatically succeed saving throws against spells that require them cost one sorcery Point per spell all right so here I toggle on careful spell I'm gonna use acid splash and he passes the save met a magic distance spell increase the range of spells by fifty percent melee spells get a range of 30 feet cost one sorcery Point per spell so here's which bolt has a range of 60 feet toggle this on distance spell increases it to 90 feet and then a melee range spell light it's melee range there's the range before there's the range after also something not specifically stated scroll revivify works with this as well metamagic extended spell double the duration of conditions summons and surfaces caused by spells plus one sorcery Point per spell in metamagic Twin spells that only target one creature can Target an additional creature costs one sorcery Point per spell slot level used so if you use a level one spell that's a one sorcery Point level two two points and so forth cantrips also cost one sorcery point for spells that don't shoot a projectile the targets need to be close enough together so I'm gonna use it with which Bolt it's gonna Target Two you're able to Target Two creatures now instead of one and you're going to get the option to replace a spell the amount of spells you can have fixed in your mind is limited as you level up you may wish to replace old spells with new ones choose a spell you know and replace it with another this is optional I could change one of the two spells I learned into a different one so the reason you might want to do this is you're only going to learn one spell per level so later on if you don't like a spell anymore or if you just want to change it up that's going to be your option to do so all right so when you get to level three you're gonna get another Health increase fourth level one spell slot two level two spell slots your third sorcery point and you're gonna be able to choose another spell now you have access to level two spells blindness blur cloud of daggers crown of Madness Darkness dark vision detect thoughts enhanceability and large slash reduce gust of wind old person invisibility knock mirror image Misty step phantasmal Force scorching Ray C invisibility shatter and web you're then going to be able to choose a third class passive and you have a couple new options you have metamagic height and spell targets of spells that require saving throws have disadvantage on their first saving throw that cost three sorcery points per spell so the disadvantage is going to roll two dice and it's gonna use the lower value it's negated by Advantage so it makes you more likely to succeed in hitting them with the spell then there's metamagic quick and spell spells that cost an action cost a bonus action instead and that's going to cost you three sorcery points per spell so how that works is you can see which bolt uses an action and a level one spell slot toggle on Quicken spell it's not going to use a bonus action a level one spell slot and three sorcery points then there's metamagic subtle spell you can cast spells while silenced cost one sorcery Point per spell alright so when you hit level four you're gonna get another Health increase your third level two spell slot fourth sorcery Point you're gonna choose a fifth can trip you're gonna gain another spell you have the option to replace a spell yet again and you're gonna choose your first feat at level five you're gonna get another Health increase two level three spell slots a fifth sorcery Point you're gonna choose another spell now having access to level three spells those are going to be link counter spell daylight fear Fireball Grant flight gaseous form paste hypnotic pattern lightning bolt protection from energy sleet storm slow stinking cloud and that's it thinking cloud and then you're gonna have the option to replace a spell again I'm gonna get rid of whip out dudes all right level six is where it starts to get a little spicy you're going to get a health increase third level three spell slot your sixth sorcery Point you're gonna choose another spell you're gonna get two subclass features part of the storm when you cast a spell of level one or higher that deals lightning or thunder damage you'd cause a small local storm all enemies within 20 feet take three lightning damage or three Thunder damage so here's an example of heart of the storm lightning free damage to everybody within 20 feet here's heart of the Storm Thunder free damage and at level 12 Heart of the storm's gonna do six lightning damage or six Thunder damage down here it says five but after seeing this one say six I tested it and it does in fact do six and then heart of the storm resistance you're resistant to lightning and thunder damage and this is gonna make you take half damage from thunder and lightning attacks you're also going to get access to these spells you're gonna just straight up learn them level three spell call lightning level three spell sleep storm level 2 spell gust of wind level one spell Creator destroy water which syncs really well with lightning spells by the way and the level one spell Thunder Wave then you're gonna have the option to replace another spell alrighty when you get to level seven you're gonna get another Health increase your first level four spell slot your seventh sorcery Point you're gonna get to choose another spell now having access to the level 4 spells banishment light infusion dimension door dominate Beast greater invisibility ice storm polymorph Stone skin and Wall of Fire then you're gonna have the option to replace another spell level eight another Health increase you're your second level four spell slot you're going to your eighth sorcery Point you're gonna get another spell you have the option to replace a spell again and then you're gonna choose your second feet at level nine you're gonna get another Health increase your third level four spell slot your second level five spell slot your ninth sorcery Point choose another spell now you have access to level five spells those are Cloud kill cone of cold dominate person old monster insect plague seeming telekinesis and Wall of stone and then you have the option to replace another spell all right level ten you're gonna get another Health increase your second level five spell slot your tenth sorcery Point you're gonna get your sixth can trip you're gonna choose another spell and you're gonna choose your fourth class passive then you're gonna be able to change another spell out all right at level 11. you're gonna get another Health increase your first level six spell slot your 11th sorcery Point you're gonna choose another spell now having access to the level six spells Arcane gate chain lightning Circle of Death disintegrate I bite globe of invulnerability and Sunbeam you're then going to get the subclass feature storms Fury when you are hit by a melee attack you deal 11 lightning damage to the attacker and potentially push them away all right here's Storm's Fury so on another note Storm's Fury is actually going to deal damage equal to your class level so at level 12 you do 12 damage and then you have the option to replace another spell finally we got level 12. you got another Health increase your 12th sorcery Point you're gonna get another spell to choose from you're gonna be able to replace another spell and then you're gonna get your third feet all right guys that's gonna wrap it up for the storm sorcery subclass for the sorcerer uh look guys if you want to be doing a ridiculous amount of damage pick the subclass you're not going to be disappointed you're going to be able to do stuff like this then you can follow that up with a level 5 spell in the same turn using a bonus action so yeah you can get a lot of fights done pretty quickly anyways guys if you like this video
