hello and welcome back to Rey's gaming Baldur's Gate and a new things you didn't know episode today I've gathered a bunch of weird and interesting quite useful things to share so we're gonna cut straight to the Chase and just get started all right let's kick this thing off with a funny one something I didn't really expect to work but it does as it turns out the Constitution buffing Amulet the Amulet of Greater Health which you can steal in act 3 via the House of Hope when you wear it of course it sets your Constitution immediately to 23 assuming it's lower than that which is pretty insane on its own but what happens when you take it off well your health is going to be adjusted to match your new lower Constitution level of course what happens if you were hurt at the time well apparently it just heals you setting yourself up and down based on your Constitution but it kind of raises in the percent each time you do that which ultimately leads to a full health bar when you swap it on and off just a couple times if you're out of combat there's no cost to do this at all which can be a fantastic way to heal up your entire party because everyone can wear this amulet without using a spell slots consumables a short rest or whatever which is a fantastic trick to know about if you have this amulet which to be honest it's so good everyone should try to make a point of getting it once they're nicely in act three it's only a shame that I recently learned this because I definitely would have been using it more but maybe in my future playthroughs I'll make use of it if it sticks around I'm not sure if it's a bug speaking of bugs that didn't stick around this next one was sadly patched while I was working on this video but is an interesting thing to be aware of and there's still something useful here it's to do with the incredible legendary the blood of La Thunder which comes with the passive of the light which causes a constant six meter radius a blinding to Undead fiends and so on while in combat they need to succeed a constitution-saving throw to avoid it though so it might not work on every Undead you go near however you can just overcome that and re-roll it repeatedly and that wasn't patched simply go to the passives tab and activate and deactivate it over and over and over until you successfully roll the effect to Blind all the undead or fiends or whatever that are near you it costs no action or bonus actions to do this no spell slots so there's no downside you can make sure this passive is always successfully blinding any of the relevant enemies that it's near as if they succeed the role you can be like no he didn't which is pretty silly the patch part of this was actually to do with a combination of that passive and the spell turn Undead which causes damage to Undead who are you know successfully turned and as shown in this clip by the YouTube channel preza gaming channel turn Undead will cause turning the light the weapon on and off again to actually repeatedly trigger the turn on Dead Effect and the Damage Associated so with no action or bonus action cost you could just melt Undead and so on yeah no problem at all that was the thing that was patched though so that specific part of the exploit has been removed still it's funny to see and I want to use this chance to still recommend prieza for funny Boulder gate stuff in general and we can still use this trick to make sure all the undead and fiends and all that are always blinded next up a kind of crazy one and very strange bug it would seem a full mind flare party which isn't normally possible and it doesn't have the normal consequences of being a mind player in Act 2 when you found the Night song and you've made the choice one way or the other and now you progress the world after that fact it makes it too dangerous to actually return to the mountain pass via the cursed land you'll be stopped by your guardian if you do this three times you will fall prey to a full mind flare transformation but not just you the entire party will turn into mind players and that would result in game over that's it not ideal turns out through some kind of strange bug you can just quick save during the game over screen and then pull up the load menu at the top you'll have your saved and you can load into that new quick save you just did here we're in the Cinematic area that just triggered as we failed the game but we can just fast travel leave we're all mind players now when it's entirely playable we get the Mind flare abilities and perks which we can use in combat the fact that the entire party is mine flares very strange but it also gives you the fully unlocked set of say your passively lifted powers to those upgrades without finding the tadpoles but this is clearly not intended because we're not technically actually mind players The World Isn't treating us as such anyway you can have conversations with people play the game as normal it won't ever be acknowledged but you will visually be the players but also mechanically in terms of your play you can hover and fly around use all the abilities and it's kind of really strong but all kinds of weird and broken I am expecting them to patch this one someday maybe soon but until then it is a thing we can do and kind of fun I'd love to credit the person that originally found this exploit but I'm not sure who it was but I was made aware of it by being linked to a video by proxy gate technician who makes a lot of really good content on Baldur's Gate so I recommend them but I have seen multiple videos on this topic so I have no idea who actually found it but I wanted to include it in this series moving on what about a way to maximize one weapon's unique attack we're talking about the weapon Twisted Fortune the Splunk weapon which features a unique attack blood money our blood Money scales its damage based on how much money the target currently has and each sort of stack of 300 gold they have it deals more damage so finally it would be a lot more effective on say a merchant who's currently holding a horde of gold already but what if we could make sure the person we're hitting you know maximizes the damage of this unique attack you could push this damage to some silly numbers and yeah it's possible all you need to do is reverse pickpocket so you pickpocket someone but then give them your goal put it all in their pockets and then of course when you hit them with blood money you're going to scale the damage based on how much gold you gave them it leads to ridiculous burst though and I saw this originally on the baldness Gate 3 Reddit via the user busy still who showcased himself giving 40 000 gold to Raphael during that final fight in the House of Hope and at very least they did over 469 damage in one single hit to be honest it looked like it was a lot more than that but no numbers actually showed to that level either way once you kill the target with all the gold you could just loot them and get it straight back so pretty incredible makes the weapon a lot more interesting even if sure you can't pickpocket every Target you plan to hit but it does work in many cases my next tip is to do with throwing weapons and just having one ideal weapon ready is always a benefit if you're running a throwing weapon build or you just will use that ever I'm talking about nyrulna the top tier legendary spear or Trident that is a throwing weapon it comes with a passive for throwing weapons in general as that type of weapon but it comes with its own unique effect that causes a sort of Thunder explosion on a throw and it comes with another passive where the weapon instantly returns to you on every throw what's really cool about this is you don't actually have to have nyrulna equipped which is maybe the best part of this by just clicking the throw option you will see the weapons that you have in your inventory currently a nairul note will show up it still has that sort of Thunder explosion effect and it will still return to you allowing you to immediately throw it again if you want to this kind of means you always have the ideal option to throw a weapon strong and because it comes back to you there's no downside you have to go pick it up again you do get this weapon in act 3 but it is at the very beginning of act three and very easy to get so from that point on you should always have it if you're ever thinking about throwing you should have this weapon there is one detail to know about this though it does seem to sort of automatically equip when it returns to you if your hands were empty at the time like mine were so there's a heads up there next up there is an insane amulet for clerics or Casters in general The Amulet of the devotee found right at the start of act 3 when entering the lower City there's a cleric or holy building right next to the bachelor's gate in the lower City at that Waypoint it's called the storm Shore Tabernacle and in the corner near the entrance is a trapdoor leading to a seller you're not allowed to enter But if you go invisible or you sneak or distract or something and sneak your way down there you'll find a bunch of really good loot in the center of the furthest room though at the back is a chest with the amulet within this place is trapped all hell and further if you steal any of the items from the chess you will get an awful debuff the person who steals it gets that debuff permanently as a curse but you can cleanse that curse what happens is if they're knocked unconscious they instantly die and when that happens or you cleanse the curse it spawns a powerful enemy you also will have to contend with so that's a problem fortunately there's a trick to completely ignore this just go back to camp and using Withers you can purchase a hiling and bring them into the party for this purpose have them run for all the trouts because who cares about this poor hiring and have them take the amulet whatever else you want down here this will result in a horrific debuff that we just mentioned but we won't have to deal with it you can take their inventory items including of course the amulet give it to yourself or any pie members and you will not receive the debuff because you didn't steal it someone else did after that you can speak with the hiling and tell them to go back to the camp or just like buy forever and just go about your business having got the amulet it's well worth the effort of using a Caster though it's got spellsave DC which is great but even better for a cleric because it does provide an extra Channel Divinity use for just wearing it and while we're here for one final thing for today's episode it's also tied to the church we just mentioned you can pray here and in return for the gold used to do so you need to give I believe 5 000 gold to get this to work you will receive a nice buff that you can refresh every day for free from then on there's multiple gods to pray to here but with the God for my current build being Saloon I pray to that and I was given a plus two bonus to all saving throws for this buff which is pretty decent if you ask me but you know 5000 gold it's pretty expensive we can get the buff without any cost again go into the basement and in there you can see all the different chests for donations under their respective god statue if you hover over the chest it even tells you which one's which now whichever you gave your gold to you can just go to and steal it back although again I would recommend you use the same trick as the tip before where you use a high link to pick it up because of course you will get that nasty debuff in this footage you see me using a stereion and you see him get the debuff but again just use the high link no problem as an easy to get buff that is very useful and no real downside when she still go back it's well worth knowing about but there you have it another set of useful things to know about in this ridiculous game today I had a pile of things I gathered from various sources that wanted to credit today but I want to keep making more episodes with credit to you guys so let me know are there any weird and interesting details or tricks current exploits or bugs that you know about share it in the comments below and we might just include it and of course Credit in the next episode for now though I've been Hollow you've been you thank you for watching see you next time Josh cotton and Hollow with the videos dropping the humor like a hammer on
