hello this is jeff of taofledermaus who knew there were so many varieties of 12-gauge shotgun rounds out there well you do if you're a subscriber today we're gonna test out the extreme 12-gauge slugs made by extreme bullets or it were made by them now these are introduced around 2014 everything about them the packaging the components all seems to be very high quality now these have been sold out over on freedom munitions website for quite some time but they still have the plane led version I emailed extreme Bullis com2 see if they're still in business they never replied to me so I guess we can assume they're not in business anymore now these weren't sent to us by any company these were sent to us by a viewer named Alec Brad Dean I probably mispronounced your name sorry but thank you buddy this is one of the nicest looking shells I've ever seen that custom head stamp that cool clear red hole you got a gas piston there it looks like it's custom-made you got that copper plated LED slug just the overall packaging and everything looks fantastic but how well today's shoot let's find out all right welcome back about town feeder folks we got something for you here today it's called the Xtreme slug it's basically a foster slug but they're copper coated they were sent to us by Alec and we're gonna try them on a couple of different targets and see what kind of a results we get we're gonna shoot them through first we're gonna try the Mossberg 500 with a full rifle barrel and because they are a rifle slug we'll run them through a smoothbore too just to do a little comparison Hey hydrostatic test against the big cylinder of full of water okay hopefully it doesn't splash us might feel good that's true here's a little warm okay I'm ready [Music] now daddy came up with this idea of filling the cylinder completely with water and see if we could actually split it open with the slug but we didn't split it we did bulge up the ends quite a bit and it blew that Valve right off the top of it and of course the slug did pass through he could see it was all flattened out and flying off into the distance yeah first shot of the day is a little low but we didn't quite get the results we were hoping for you're hoping to split that thing open but it did to pull the valve out yeah not sure where that one land yeah and we got a full pass through ballistic jelly I've always wanted to put ballistic gel in some kind of a confined space like this just to see what happens see how much energy is blasting outwards and there was quite a bit to shatter that plastic like it did hey see where that one hit yeah those are shooting low from where I'm sighted in it don't know why but that's how you get it out of that plastic jar though yeah it's ready to come out unless you go in there yeah did it and it exited it did okay that's why you jump so much yeah hit low and most impulse went down the bottom okay an old craftsman cordless drill see if Danny can hit it it's um well it looks like Danny hittin a pretty solid spot let's see what happens though look how the handle kind of twists around that's a lot of energy and I think that's pretty neat shot there anyway I want to thank Darrin for donating this drill is an interesting target I think it was either dead or the batteries were dead and it wasn't worth upgrading them to you know the new type of batteries and then buying a charger and everything so hey why not shoot it [Music] not too bad mmm that's you big yeah they'll take it back those are hitting a little bit low from where my red dot sighted in at with the jb weld slugs oh yeah yeah yeah so I was aiming here get here it's like it went in hit the motor and dope down a little bit oh okay I don't know if it'll show up inside of there and that but that motors been smacked hard yep hey Elise you hit it right on the motor they're trying for the moneymaker ha ha ha well we're gonna change it up a bit the rifled slugs through a rifle barrel want to hit slow a little so we're gonna try a little Tony smoothbore short barrel and see what kind of difference we get it's not really a short barrel because it's still 20 inches believe your night it's legal yeah it's a 20-inch barrel it's just very light oh I won't show that okay yep Wow no light dust it kicked up there two places we're not getting like super Acuras he's consistently low my point aim was sinner and then little Tony he's usually pretty accurate yeah but low lift and maybe bigger figuring out why these aren't on the market anymore mm-hmm no it's a foster slug I would think it which how do you screw up a foster slug you know yeah well definitely not the most accurate shot in the world but still pretty interesting we see that that flash it's probably the aluminum oxide on the that big piece of aluminum it's detonating that's what I assume it is we show what a jb weld slug would do to a cement brick concrete whatever's whatever you want to call it carbine carbine so nobody said cement when you glue things together and concrete your walk on okay so it's not a it's not made out of brick brick no it's not a cleaver yeah a clay brick thank you okay I am ready let's see what this baby will do to that yeah I'm gonna put it about an inch above center mass okay here we go this shot was a good three inches low and I'm fairly confident wasn't Danny's shooting because you know if you've seen Danny shoot before you know that he's a pretty darn good shot but at least he hit it you know that's always always the plus here so far our close range accuracy has not been very impressive with these we were only at about 10 yards and we're gonna take it out to 50 yards out there with the smoothbore again and which which chuggy gonna be shooting at actually they've been inconsistent so yeah yeah I'll try for the one on the right so that's a long range for just a bead sight but we know Danny can hit something like that I mean he hit with the jb weld slogan he got it seemed like the longer range a little better yeah that little Tony impresses me every time I shoot it it's I think it's it's parked Tony part you at 50 yards dead center the circle that's embossed into the plastic there okay that's I'm curious if the rifle shotgun will be more accurate a lot of people think more accurate it's rifle is that thing you know disintegrated though yeah look at the little holes those exit holes here here here here so it came apart in the water yeah it it was definitely going supersonic when it hit I saw the dust kicking up yeah sometimes I impressed myself hahaha I wished it was more often though yeah this is one of those surprising high speed camera shots we just thought he just nailed of joke but no it actually bounced about a good yard in front of the jug and then hit it dead center I'd like to remind people to rate the video it only takes a split second to do that I'm not gonna tell you how to read it good or bad it all helps thank you okay now the rifled barrel with the little red dot on there okay let's see if Danny's luck will hold out okay I'm ready yeah we had much better stability at the slug with the rifled barrel the smoothbore was just kind of wobbling all over the place now the impact was just a little bit to the right so we didn't have his energetic of a splash as we did with the center shot that makes a big difference now we're told all the time you can't shoot rifled slugs or foster slugs out of a rifled barrel but I don't know where people hear that but yeah you can do it it just leaves a little bit of let felling this video is made possible by their kind supporters on patreon there's about 800 of them which is awesome and without them we couldn't make these videos anymore so all these kind folks that you see here these are the just the latest ones from like last few months to all these folks donating to us on patreon allow you to watch this video for free so let's give those people a big hand now some of these folks donate $1 a month some of them much more than that which is kind of humbles me but for $1 a month you can help support this channel and so we could buy a new table maybe maybe someday buy some clear ballistic-gel who knows anyway thanks for watching
