the bleach mobile game brave souls is still in the midst of its sixth anniversary celebrations and they continue to crank out brand new original content for us to get excited about discuss and speculate on and you guys seem to really enjoy the previous video i made looking at eisen's brand new form debuting in the game and so lo and behold today at the time of recording brave souls has just revealed three brand new forms coming to the game for kyoraku ukitake and surprisingly yamamoto and all three of them look genuinely awesome now kiyora ku anukitake's forms had already been semi-revealed in a live stream a little while back and a lot of people myself included assume they were probably the only two we were getting due to the game's tendency to have mostly two or one character banners recently however when yamamoto popped up during that reveal trailer i was really excited and super happy to see him there and i can't wait to talk about these three designs in this video before we begin however i realize it's been about a week since my last video so i just wanted to take a moment to thank you guys so much for getting the channel to and beyond 70 000 subscribers that's truly amazing and i think our next milestone is really in sight now at 75 000. three quarters of the way there to that incredible 100k goal so if you haven't hit subscribe yet make sure to do that now push the channel towards those milestones i would really appreciate the support and you'll get bleach content like this every single week don't forget to give the video a thumbs up as well if you enjoyed it because it really does help give the video more exposure across youtube and ensure that more bleach fans get a chance to engage in the discussion and if you want to take that support from me a step further we do have a patreon for the channel as well now where you can support me for as little as a dollar a month and get videos early and just overall help really support the channel and of course as always a massive shout out goes out to everyone who is already supporting me so far over there i really appreciate it so these three brand new captain designs seem to be following on from the fifth anniversary version of biakia as many of us speculated they would for the longest time they'd been given the fan term beyond bankai and that actually does seem to be pretty appropriate with the way these new forms are being positioned all three of their descriptions note that they have unlocked a power greater than bankai what that actually means though is left up to our own speculation there's an awful lot to get into here so let's just get straight to it and we're going to start with ukitake as he is the one i have the most to say about and i think he's the one that a lot of people are asking a lot of questions about so let's not wait to dive into that to begin with ukitake's general design here looks amazing it might be my absolute favorite of the three of them which surprises me because kyolaku is one of my favorite characters in the series and ukitake never really did a whole lot in bleach so it's difficult to imagine him in this sense but he truly does look wonderful there's a real priestly vibe to his overall design here which i think suits him down to a t now let's just deal with the elephant in the room the biggest question on everybody's lips we saw yamamoto's bankai in the canon manga we saw kyorakuzbankai in the canon manga but we never got to see jew shiro's and so many people are probably asking the question is this ukitakes bankai is this some form of isbankai is it referencing it in some way is this something you know we've never seen before for the characters so could it be that power and after having looked at it having done a bit of research myself i'm surprisingly inclined to say maybe now we obviously have no concrete evidence whatsoever this is purely speculation on my part and as mentioned previously in the eisen video these forms are non-canon they're just for fun what-if scenarios but this sukitake form i truly believe could at the very least have some reference to his bankai if we break it down by how it looks he appears to be wearing what's called a shimanawa i believe it's pronounced which is a sort of sacred rope um from which generally hang talismans it's the sort of thing you might find a torii gate or a shrine in japan and the shimanawa rope is the massive one going behind him um as you can see in the image now this idea of a holy rope from which talisman's hang is quite clearly a direct reference to the design of his shikai no kotawari from which his two blades were connected by a rope from which talismans used to hang and now we have a more literal version of that as far as japanese culture goes surrounding him behind him from which the talismans are hanging and actually if you look closely that original rope between his blades is gone replaced instead now by this massive shimanawa rope you can see although he's holding the blades in front of him that huge rope actually connects to the base of each sword such a direct reference to the sheikai version of his own puck toe would lead me to believe that this could be his bankai this is a essentially blown up version of what his sheikai was now we know that his shikai's powers were specifically absorption and reflection and actually there's a really interesting facet to this character design in that he has apparently attained a power greater than bankai and absorbed the ability of kage oni from his friend kyoraku now as i mentioned we know that absorption is one of the core abilities of seogyonokottawari so it totally makes sense that he's able to do this however we've never seen him wearing a power like this before kagayoni the shadowy ability of kiraku is surrounding ukitake's feet it's turning half of his hair black and you can just see the darkness surrounding him manifesting in the twin fish of sogyonokotawari so kind of where i'm at at the moment is i don't think the absorption of kaggyoni necessarily has anything to do with his bankai form or with the unlocking of a power greater than barn kai i think he the way the description words it anyway he unlocked this power that was greater than bankai and then absorbed kageyoni as part of that so it could be that his bankai is what's left over it's the fan collar it's the massive shimanawa um rope behind him that's attached to his toe that could be his bankai and then after that he has absorbed this power because to me kageyoni feels oddly specific is it the absorbing of kageoni that has unlocked this power greater than bankai or is the absorption of kaggyoni a result of that power i really have absolutely no idea what would happen if he tried to absorb another of kyoraku's abilities like bushogoma for instance would he suddenly be surrounded by gales of wind possibly because i think at this stage juchiro's power has become such where it's almost a little bit like the quincy ability of slavery where when he absorbs an ability it actually kind of adds itself to his body i could really see that being the case shrines in japan generally specialize in spirits sacred incantations and talismans and this form of ukitake has that in spades right down to when he uses his ultimate ability in game unfurls his fan and seems to write an incantation on it using the darkness of one of the twin fish i love this form i think the imagery is wonderful and special especially considering they didn't have a lot to go on as ukitake truly was one of the most underused captains in the series but i think they've done a fantastic job there's a lot of imagery here as well for just sogo no kotawari in general from the fan to the twin fish but also there appear to be um signs of lightning being used in his attacks and also water as well which references the release command of his shikai which is something like all waves become my shield or thunder my sword so that's referenced in there as well so just generally speaking i think they've done a cracking job with ukitake i think he looks awesome he exudes power but also this priestly wisdom and knowledge he seems to be a very spiritual looking character which i think is fantastic as well and yeah if i'm totally honest i could see this as being his bankai to me it looks like a natural evolution of sogyo no kotawari shikai form if we discount kagayoni because i don't think that has necessarily anything to do with how his barangay actually looks i could totally buy this as being ukitake's bankai form the massive sacred rope now attaching both of his blades hanging above him suspended in the air very similar in design perhaps to a bankai like tekken tatcha kaze with the talismans now hanging from ukitake's shimanawa rope instead of the one suspended between his arm puck toes i think that could easily be his bankai but i'd love to know what you think in the comments below do you think it could be is buying car and if you do do you like the design or are you a little underwhelmed would you rather have something else but in terms of what we actually see from ukitake in the game i really think what they've done is very creative and i love seeing him use kagioni himself in his ultimate watching as he stabs the floor and then you see one of the twinfish go through the water to transition into his blade again in his own version of shin sweet sneak attack i think it works really well so i definitely think juchiro was the one i had the most to talk about but there's still a lot to say about the rest of these guys because they do genuinely look really great now yamamoto was a surprise to me i didn't expect to get him in this banner and to me it looks like he has at least on the surface the least amount of change however he still does look very cool and it almost looks like his body is blackened and charred and fire itself is coursing through his veins beneath his skin all of the scars littering his torso are now glowing at once and it really does give the impression of this almost terrifying fire demon himself i really like that what intrigues me the most however and what i find to be perhaps the most confusing is that they've decided to take the most inspiration uh from a period of time where yamamoto had no access to ryujin jakka which i think is so kind of strange but i guess in a way quite creative so obviously during the fight with wonder weiss and eisen wonder why seals yamamoto's or yujin jaka making it impossible for him to use any fire against one device and so instead he resorts to using hakuda or hand-to-hand combat and basically the entire point of that fight was to show us that yeah yamamoto is the head captain for a reason he can still obliterate you even without his arm puck toe and so it's kind of weird to me that for his unlocking a power greater than barn kai it seems to have very little to do with his zan puck toe in many ways to the point where he doesn't even have a blade anymore whereas the other three yaki are included all still keep their blades to some degree in fact yamamoto's ultimate ability yoko no sakotsu is a direct reference an evolution in many ways to the sokotsu ability he uses to kill one device when he punches him with both fists and shatters him into a million pieces and i have to admit it's a pretty cool well to draw from yamamoto not having a blade however i think is something that in many ways makes sense particularly from a creativity standpoint if i were someone trying to design something greater than bankai for yammer what on earth would i ever do how do you make it more powerful than zanka no tachi and in many ways zankanotachi already did the whole fusing with fire thing we've already seen that with yamamoto so this one's kind of cool in that it seems to have mostly internalized that fire and yamamoto seems to be able to turn his body to flame at will and channel it through the very earth itself now while his design might not be the craziest out of all of them i do genuinely think his artwork might be the best we've ever seen in bleach brave souls it just looks amazingly good like on a totally different level and i think the others look amazing as well but there's something about this yama one the colors used that really pops and his description in game says that he his body is now wreathed in flame and he can use his fists to control any situation now i wouldn't say that was completely accurate his body is not really wreathed in flame that's more his van kai um his arm certainly is read than flame and i find that to be kind of interesting as well it's actually the arm that he lost in the manga that is completely covered in fire and that to me spells maybe two things now interestingly it could mean that that arm is still missing for yamamoto and he has just generated a fully functioning arm made of fire or it could be maybe a reference to ichigo's final gets to katencho in which one of his arms was like considerably more covered in uh rayatsu than the other one to symbolize yamamoto fusing with his zampakto i'm not entirely sure either way it looks pretty cool so while yamamoto might look underwhelming in some aspects comparatively to his peers i think they've done a pretty cool job trying to make the man who had zanka notachi more powerful than ever before in basically coming out and saying no yamamoto himself is the power like he doesn't need a blade he can just punch the floor and basically have a massive wave of flame come out because he doesn't need a sword anymore he can do everything that ryujin jakka could and more and i think perhaps that's actually quite creative when i was thinking of an idea for what his beyond bankai thing could have been you know i was thinking abilities like enetsuji goku or his kaka jumanakushi dai sojin ability where he summons all the skeletons from the floor they've gone smaller scale than that and i kind of think it works at the same time it does mean that the emphasis on hakuda for this character means that there are virtually no references to his bankai or really hishikai outside of the fact he's using fire which i guess could be seen as a little bit strange and then finally we get to my favorite current captain pretty much my second favorite character in the entire series behind eisen and that is kyoraku and he looks amazing you know he looks really really cool in some ways more understated than i was expecting for a character as flamboyant as kyoraku but i really like what we've got now there are obvious references to kat in kyokotsu here perhaps more overt than anything we've had previously in that he's quite literally wearing some of her outfit as obviously we've actually seen her zanpak toa spirit not only in the zampacto filler arc but also you know in the canon manga as well so this looks to be a very direct homage to the woman in general kyoraku appears to be wearing what was her enormous skull waist garment now on his waist as well in a direct reflection of katen kyokotsu herself he also has a pair of massive bands seemingly going over his shoulder that appeared to be holding that skull in place now there are a couple of also small cool details about kyoraku as well this slightly cooler detail in my opinion is that his hair is actually down it's no longer in a ponytail for the first time i think in the entire series his hair is actually flowing and it looks really cool um something i always wondered about because we've never seen it like that you know if some if kubo has a design element like that generally he'll show it like renji for instance who always has his hair up you see it that one time down whereas curacao i don't think we ever did so that's a really nice little detail now when i was talking about flamboyance earlier um the flowing pink tessellated hayori that's almost seemingly fused to his own captain's uniform is something i really enjoy i think it looks really cool it's very kyoruku as well and i just i think it looks awesome it really helps him stand out too and it does seem to be kind of flowing into his own clothes so it's like a part of himself which again would sound about right considering he has fused with his unpacked toe kind of reminds me ever so slightly off byakuya's shuke hakuteken gown that he's wearing in this form but this one's slightly more eccentric it's also complemented by a series of purple glowing bones behind him as well that are protruding out almost like netting um and this again seems to be a direct reference to the bones that protrude out of cat in kyokotsu's headdress so again in many ways kyraku is literally wearing the outfit of his zampak toe in this form i like that his in-game description is actually quite vague it says that bedecked in an outfit of glowing splendor kiraku moves to protect the soul society and you know i'm wondering who's he protecting the soul society from especially in this form you know these captains are pretty beastly at this point now in this form it would appear that all of kyoku's abilities his ultimate included are continued to be based around children's games much like his sheikai continuing to show that kyoraku zampato is one of if not the most creative in the entire series i am a little surprised though as we do know what kiraku's kirakuzubanikai actually is and it's not really anything to do with children's games so to me you would kind of think that a power beyond bankai unlocking a power greater than ban kai whatever you want to call it would maybe have more akin to do with his bankai than his sheikai biakia is quite clearly based off of the most powerful ability in his bankai so that's kind of weird to me but i do like the creativity it offers now for his basic attack he does seem to be flinging out small uh almost like tornadoes small whirls of wind and they're actually surrounding little spinning tops and this seems to be a direct reference to his sheik high ability bushogoma which i mentioned earlier which is literally called like the wobbly spinning top or something like that which is really nice to see however i'll be completely honest with you i have absolutely no idea what his special attack 1 and 3 are supposed to represent i'm guessing they're games of some kind and if you know please let me know um i did try and research it beforehand but i don't think anyone had come to any kind of a conclusion before i got the video out the first one seems to be generating a stream and then sending red ribbons down it i'm really not sure and then the third one i have to admit i hate i think it's so ugly looking um considering again kyorak who's supposed to be this flamboyant character with so much almost limitless potential for how cool his moves could look the third one just seems to create like a mountain or like a mound of dirt or something i don't really know what it is any insight i would be so appreciative of please let me know in the comments below however i do think i've worked out what his special attack 2 is supposed to be referencing now it's really cool because you get to see kyoraku actually kick this little ball into the air and then it continues to bounce over and over again as the attack plays out this appears to be referencing a medieval japanese game called kimari i believe it's pronounced where basically a group of people would kick a light delicate ball into the air and then attempt to keep it above ground for as long as they could playing generally in a dusty court which is again what we kind of see on the ground when rocky uses his ability um that's really neat it's cool again they've found yet another game to use kyoku just has so many abilities at this point but i always love how they're showcased and then his ultimate ability is really awesome as well basically it's this game called kagemo kagemo and essentially you pick one player to be the only and they have to sit um in a circle eyes closed and basically the rest of the players kind of move in a circle around the oni singing the song that goes with the game which is what kyoraki is actually singing during his ultimate and then eventually when the singing stops the oni in the middle must guess correctly who is standing directly behind them and i think we can assume in this ultimate they fail to do so which is why kiraku stabs them in the back um again i love it i think it looks wonderful in the actual game itself it's portrayed really well super surprised to see kiraku singing but it i think it works again it's so ominous as well really pushing that ominous side to kyoraku that i think works incredibly well for the character and that's basically it for our three brand new forms in bleach brave souls that's the honestly one of my favorite things about this game is that it keeps bringing such refreshing original content to bleach for characters that you know maybe we never expected to see anything new from the biggest question on my lips as we end this video is is that jushiro's bankai or is it some remnant of his bankai and to me at the moment until it's disproven i'm perfectly content to say i think it is i think it's way too similar to his shiikai in execution but a blown out version of that um to not be his bankai in many ways his sheikai of course being two blades connected by a rope with talismans hanging on them they're now connected by a shimanawa a massive sacred rope that now suspends in the air above him with perhaps more traditional japanese talismans hanging from that and now he has the ability to seemingly completely absorb abilities into himself as he has done with kageyoni which is fantastic which is really cool so it could be as bankai obviously there's nothing concrete these forms are non-canon and we have nothing to directly say it is other than it's supposedly a power greater than van kai but that's it for this video guys i hope you enjoyed it do let me know in the comments below what you think of these brand new forms for kyoraku ukitake and yamamoto and of course as always with brave souls if you're planning on trying to summon for them i know i will be let me know in the comments which one's your favorite as well and of course do you think that's ukitake's ban kai do you think these forms even really have anything to do with ban kai because kyoraku seems to be using his mostly shikai themed abilities and yamamoto doesn't even have a blade anymore so maybe they're not actually a die as director reference to ban kai as originally thought even those biakias appears to be all right guys but until next time if you haven't subbed make sure you hit that button already and i'll see you next time goodbye
