I asked if she could play because it will
help it go down easier. As funny as it sounds, my, my heart has something
really intense to talk about. Like, you know the fellow they were talking
about that got shot. And when I went out there, and I went by and
they were talking to him, and he said could you come say hi to him. I went and talked to him, and you know he
said he had had an encounter with Jesus before. So, so what happened, as he, you know I shared
with him my testimony because I got shot at. None of the bullets hit me. They didn't even hit my vehicle. Well he got shot at with the same kind of
gun, and one hit him in the head. And he was in a coma for 30 days, for a month. And while he was in a coma, Jesus woke him
up. He said that Jesus came to him while he was
out, in a coma. And said, "It's time to believe." Jesus. And he woke up. He looked at me. And this is what he said, "Tell me why I had
to get to tragedy to believe." And my heart was so gripped with that statement
because we don't have to get to tragedy in order to have an encounter with majesty. What we don't see sometimes is that, how your
life, like I talked about today, and you know how we're supposed to diffuse the knowledge
of him wherever we go. And how it's the privilege of a Christian
to be able to represent him wherever we go. So see, hypocrisy, Jesus rebuked it so much. He just rebuked it. Like all the time. He said, "You strain a gnat and swallow a
camel." You know he said things like graves that people
walk over and don't know that they're walking over you. You're like white washed walls. He, he he like, he was really straight when
he talked about hypocracy. Because hypocrisy isn't, it's almost common. Like it's just the way it is. Hey man. And people, and then there's there's teaching
out there that teaches that you can never be really free from with it. So just deal with it, and like just be okay
with it. In other words, grace comes into your life,
and God knows. He says you know people say, "Well, God knows
that you're a sinner. I mean let's just get past it and move on. We're always going to miss." The Bible doesn't teach that. It doesn't at all. See this is really really like, it's almost
like uncharted territory. Like, in the in the wide spectrum of things. But it's the truth that is taught by Jesus. Jesus teaches the truth. And he talks about how we can be free from
that junk. See, if you've ever heard me talk before,
I talk about being cold and hot. So in my life, I was freezing cold, and then
I went straight to hot. But when I, I read that scripture, when , when
I came into the kingdom, and I read it, and it said "You know I wish you were either cold
or hot, but because you're warm, I will spit you out." That's like, really freaky. And especially like, when you look at like
the context of what you believe, it might be. Cold means you have no idea. Hot means you are burning and nothing can
put you out. You are on fire with him, his presence, the
reality of that day when you're going to stand before him and hear, "Well done." One day we are going to stand before him. I teach my kids that every day. Every day realize that one day you're going
to stand before God. One day. You live your whole life. It's like an Olympic athlete. That an Olympic athlete trains so hard. They train for this little race. But they train for 8-12 hours every day. Hardcore, intense training man. All for that one day eight years later where
they're going to race for 60 seconds. And training in righteousness, your whole
life is the reality of you training all day, and then the Holy Spirit helping you learn
it all night too. For that one, however long it takes, to hear
your Father say, "Well done." So the Christian life is about training. That core training in your inner man, being
strengthened in your inner man. But it is this thing that is walked out in
such a way that you blaze a trail, and you diffuse the knowledge of him everywhere you
go. When I came into Christianity, I had so much
junk, dude, I mean so much trash. And I, I had to get to tragedy. And it's unfortunate that man, I don't believe
it has to happen. So I looked at the guy out front and I said,
"Man!" He goes, " Whyyyy???" And he's asking me why. Now they had an encounter with this man on
the street, because, because what happens is that he has that encounter with Jesus and
he believes, but then belief drifts away. It drifts away. And he out there being unknown, as being looked. Because people are seeing him, and his face
is messed up so everyone's looking at him and laughing and all that stuff. So it takes somebody that knows who they are
to walk up to him and bring him back. And it's called snatching someone out of the
fire, man. It's, that's what Jude says. It's snatching someone, saving somebody, as
if in a fire. You're snatching them out. But your life can be such a display of Jesus,
to wherever you walk, you know in your heart of hearts that you're representing him fully. And it's not a duty. It's out of intimacy. If we don't get to the place where we have
peace with God, we're in trouble. Because outreach won't give you peace. Or you can have a temporary time with peace
because it was amazing. And then when you stepped out it was awesome. But then, but then you kind of pull back into
a shell like a turtle. I love outreach, and I love talking about
like street stuff, but this is not about street evangelism. This is about your life constantly on fire
and in love with Jesus, full on. We go out on an outreach, and it's amazing,
but it's about your life burning with him every day, all day long. You know when he said, "Are you guys going
to do this again?" It's so cool because it is addicting. It is. Your life, your life and the presence of God
on your life and in your life is attractive, man. It's attractive. Really is. And people around you, when they see your
boldness and you're stepping out in faith. All of a sudden it's like, "Whoa, can I hang
out with you again?" But be very careful not to be hooked on that
endorphin rush of just up there praying for people. Because it's never about a feeling. I love the fact, and I'm not going against,
feeling the presence and the warmth, and all that stuff. It's awesome. But be careful that you don't gear yourself
into needing to have the feeling happen. You're in a service and all of a sudden see
somebody that like shaking and laughing, and all that. And you're beside them, and you're not feeling
nothing. And you're like... It's almost irritating. It can be. Because, but, but the thing is that sometimes
you're looking at them like "Why am I not feeling that? Why don't I ever.." I have people come up to me and say, "I want
you to do me a favor. I want you to pray for me that I might feel
the love of God." I look at them and say, "Absolutely not. I wouldn't do you that. That's an injustice to your soul." "Whoa that's weird. I didn't expect to hear that from you." See my Christian life has been hardly ever
with that, with feelings. It doesn't say the just will live by feelings. It says they will walk by faith. It almost sounds like, it, it's like "Wait,
wait, whoa hold on." No no no. Man, you, you are not bound by not having
feelings. You are strengthened by not having to feel
God. If you can get to the simplicity of this thing
to where you know him, you'll never have to feel him to know that he's there. And if you feel him and one day you walk to
another place and don't feel him, you might be in trouble and think that he left you. So you cannot afford to rely on feelings to
be your barometer of whether he's there. Peace and feelings are opposite. The feeling of peace is, is different. See, the feeling of peace comes it and goes,
comes and it goes. The feelings of peace can be mountaintop and
valley Christianity. I'm on a mountaintop I have peace. I'm in a valley I don't. I'm in a land where it's flowing and it's
amazing. It's water everywhere. Now I'm in the wilderness, and I don't have
that. The wilderness is illegal for Christians to
be in. The valley is illegal for you to be in. John the Baptist said this, he said, "Let
every mountain be brought low and every valley be brought up. Make a straight path for the Lord to travel." He was killing mountaintop and valley Christianity. The wilderness is a crazy place to be. And if you're in the wilderness that Jesus
was in, it's awesome, because you'll come out with the Holy Ghost and power. But if you're in the wilderness that the children
of Israel were in, you'll not come out. The wilderness that the Israelites were in,
they came out, They came out of Egypt, and they went out
and they could have gone in eleven days. Right? We know that. But they went around and around and around
and around. It took 40 years, and the ones that came out
never made it in. Joshua, Caleb, and the kids did. But nobody else did, man. The reason why the Israelites died there is
because they gossiped, complained, criticized, murmured. Be very careful that the wilderness you're
in is not because of complaining, and gossip, and criticism, and looking at what, what,
you don't have. You'll look at other people's lives and envy
them. And wish that you had theirs. But God gave you the normal Christian life. He gave you the same thing. He gave you the reality of the kingdom. And the kingdom comes, the blood of Jesus
comes and does what it does, and you have peace before God. Peace. But peace isn't a feeling. Peace is a knowing. See Jesus went into the wilderness a different
way. Jesus went into the wilderness, but he got
baptized in the Holy Ghost. He went out into the wilderness, and the Spirit
led him out. The Spirit led him out of the wilderness. The Spirit of God let him out. That's the wilderness. The Sprit of God led him out. And he was out there, and he was tempted by
the devil. And he comes back out of there in 40 days. So what took the children of Israel 40 years
because it's the same wilderness? The difference between when Jesus went in
there, and when they went in there, Jesus went in there selfless. And the children went in there selfish. They didn't know what they had. Jesus knew who he had and who he was. So when you're in the wilderness and you know
who you are and what you have, you'll never need feelings to help you. And you will come out with a crisper, sharper
more awareness of God's presence, his reality. He is for you and not against you. And people are looking at you in the place
wondering who you're going to manifest. They don't say it, because they've rarely
seen it. But man, if they see you when you get squeezed
manifest Jesus they will freak out because it's not normal. But it should be the normal Christian life. Okay. I'm not going to keep you long. I don't know how long it's going to be. I want you to go 1 Peter 1. In my Ipad, just like when I go to Bible,
you know you can bookmark it. Father I thank you for the reality of the
gospel. I thank you for the truth of what it means
to be a Christian. God I'm asking you in the name of Jesus, to
so just rock our world God. Rock our world, Father. I thank you God. I thank you for what you've done. I thank you for what you're going to do. God, I thank you that you're the professional
trash taker-outer God. You're so good. God I'm asking you to open this up so that
the lens of righteousness would be so blemish free. There would be no fog on the glass. It would just be crystal clear. In Jesus' name. Okay. I'm just going to read, and then we're gonna
get somewhere. It says Peter. Remember this guy. This is the Peter you want to be like. This one, right here. Not the Peter that denied Jesus. But the Peter that God filled with Christ
that couldn't deny him. You've got this guy that denied Jesus 3 times. Horrible, man. But then you've got another Peter. You have the Peter that got born again, got
baptized in the Holy Spirit. So this is that one. This is the guy that denied Jesus. This is the guy that was changed into a different
man. Because the reality of forgiveness hit his
heart. The reality of the stuff that he did that
was so horrible hit his heart and his soul. And that stuff was yanked out. This is the guy, this is the one that when
he denied Jesus, when when Jesus was on the shore, after he was crucified, after he was
resurrected. He was on the shore, and those guys were out
on the boat. And he says to the disciples, "Children, did
you catch anything?" And they said, "We've been fishing all night. Nothing!" And John, the revelator, says, "It's the Lord!" And Peter's like "Whoa!" Swoosh! He's swimming with all his might to get to
shore. This is the day when they brought up all those
big fish. One hundred fifty three large fish. This is when they bring the catch to Jesus. Jesus is on the shore. And when he gets there, Jesus has got bread
and fish cooking. So good. He gets there, and he looks at Peter and he
says, "Simon!" I love that he didn't say, "Do you love my
people?" Because that's different. Just, just loving people won't keep you. He's sitting, and I know it's the restoration
of Peter because he denied him three times and Jesus three times asked him if he loved
him. But he said, "Simon, do you love me?" "Well Lord, yes I love you." And he says, "Feed my sheep. Take care of my lambs." He's talking about, "Do you love me? Then out of your love for me, this is how
it is." "You love me, of course then this is what
we'll do." "You love me. This is how it is Peter." "You know I love you!" Awesome. So it's about your love for God, and then
it's your love for this. It's about your love for God. It's about your deep love that you have for
Jesus, and then it's for your outreach. It's about your love for God, and then it's
your job. It's about your love for God, and then it's
your family. It's about your love for God, and then it's
everything else. But you carry the reality of your love for
Him because you know His love for you. It's the first and second commandment. The first commandment is to love God with
all my heart, and my soul, all my strength and all my mind. The second one is like it. To love your neighbor as you love yourself. You can't afford to step out to avoid the
fact that you don't love you. You step out in the fact that you are loved
by God. And that God loves you. I'm just hitting something really really well. More well than you think. So that in any situation you can sing, "It
is well. It is well with my soul." It is well. So that no matter what comes your way, it
is well with my soul. My mind is steadfast on you. Set your mind on things above, not beneath. It talks about money, and it talks about where
your treasure is. Don't lay up for yourselves treasures on earth
where moths and rust destroy, and thieves break in and steal. It says, "But lay up for yourselves treasures
in heaven where nothing destroys. For where your treasure is, so your heart
will be also." So I'm laying up for myself treasures here. That doesn't mean I'm laying up for myself
crowns. That just means, that the joy that I have,
the joy that I have. Isn't like Keith Green saying it, "When I'm
doing well, help me to never see the crown. For my reward is bringing glory to you." Hehh. So where your treasure is, your heart is too. And if your heart is bringing glory to Him,
the first thing that God wants you to understand is His heart for you. This is the only way that we can be considering
pure joy when we face tribulations. Because it's neat when you go out there, and
you get to talk to people. But man life is coming. It's coming. Real life. Real stuff. Going back to the real world. I think it's amazing that you all are here,
that there are this many people here. Because you hold a conference anywhere in
the world Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and it's a rough time. Because people have jobs. You've got jobs. Just the very fact that you're here, shows
me that there's a commitment of hunger in your heart to become who God says you are. So don't think that God didn't see your sacrifice. And fire always falls on sacrifice. Always. I tell people, "Listen, if you. It will cost you more to go work than to come
to something like this." Because in the long run, in the long run. Go manifest Him when you go back to your job. When you're in the midst of a bunch of people
that don't believe, all of a sudden you shine as a light, in the midst. And there are Christians there waiting for
somebody to manifest their Father. And they will see your lead and be like, "Come
on." And it might take time, but eventually they
will say, "We've been watching you man, and we're Christians and we're kind of freaked
out." But that peace that you have doesn't come
because other people have it. That peace that comes is the mystery. The mystery that was hidden in days past,
but now has been revealed. The cat's out of the bag, dude. It's not a secret anymore. It's not. It was a secret, and it was hidden. Did I read anything? I did tell you to go there. It says, "Peter an apostle of Jesus." Oh yeah, I got to Peter and that was it, huh? Yeah. I just want you to know that that this is
that guy. So if anybody, anybody would have had a hard
time, it would have been this guy. I mean, Paul too. But look at these guys. The, the horrific. These like, fisherman. These, this top Pharisee. That I consider like everything dung, man,
for the sake of knowing Him. Everything. So all of it's a wash man, just that I might
know him. And then he knew Him, and he's like "Oh, that
I might know him." So your whole life is a quest for knowing
him. It's awesome. It says, "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ
to the pilgrims of the dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia." "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God
the Father in sanctification of the Spirit, and for obedience and the sprinkling of the
blood of Jesus Christ." "Grace to you and peace be multiplied." "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
of Jesus Christ who according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." "To an inheritance that is incorruptible,
and undefiled, that does not fade away. Reserved in heaven for you. Who are kept by the power of God through faith
for salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time." Don't put this scripture off to someday ahead
of you, to where when you get to heaven then you'll have faith for salvation. Because faith for salvation isn't for when
you get there. Faith for salvation is right now. Now is the time. NOW, is the time. When? NOW! Now is the time for salvation! When's the time? NOW! Yeah, but I thought you said it was then. It's now. It's, it's like that every day. This morning I woke up. Now is the time, yay! NOW, is the time! It's exciting. Ready to reveal in the last time. When was the last time? Is that when Jesus beams us out of here? C'mon man. That's not it at all. The last time started when Jesus was crucified. We're in the last days right now. When Jesus was crucified, resurrected, went
to sit at the right hand, we entered into the final round. As long as it seems like it is, it's nothing
in the weight of eternity. And man, you've got these light afflictions
and stuff that comes your way. But what is that compared to the glory that
follows? You can manifest Christ. I tell people all the time. I'm sure you've heard it. When you squeeze an orange, you get orange
juice. When you squeeze an apple, you get apple juice. If you squeeze an orange into a cup and you
drank it and it was apple juice, it would be a strange thing. And it should be equally strange that when
a Christian gets squeezed, everything but Jesus comes out. When you get squeezed and trial comes your
way, you should manifest your King. The devil should take a risk EVERY time he
touches you. Every time he touches you, he should risk
everything. He should risk his own everything. We're not supposed to be unaware. We're supposed to be very aware of his craftiness. We're supposed to be aware of the schemes
of hell. We're supposed to be very aware. We're not supposed to question whether it's
God or not. When God's there you know it's God. We are supposed to not be unwise, but we are
supposed to know the will of the Lord. Do NOT be unwise, but know the will of the
Lord. Jesus, is and was, and always will be the
walking, living, breathing, talking will of the Lord. Everything in the life of Jesus is the will
of God. Period. He only came to do his Father's will. So that's the way I study the words of Jesus,
man. That's why I live inside of the words of Jesus. Because when someone brings something that
doesn't line up, like "The words of Jesus aren't for today." You lost me dude. You lost me. Or statements like, "Well I know that's what
the Bible says, but..." You lost me man. You lost me. I'm so for God. So far gone. Right now if out of my mind, it's for him. But if I'm here and in it, it's for you. But I am out of my mind, man, and into his. Into his. Diving deep into the reality of why he saved
me. He saved me so I can look like Jesus, man. So when stuff comes my way, I'm not reactionary. I'm in a place of relationship. And I live in the place. I'm not saying that stuff doesn't come, because
man, it does. Do you think that once you become a Christian
the devil backs off? Do you think that when you say yes to God,
the devil is like, "Darn! Darn!" No no no. He doesn't say, "Darn!" He doesn't say, "Man, we missed that one. Let's go for another one!" No! He's wants to completely crush you and take
the Christ out of here. He wants you to never come to the realization,
and the reality, and the revelation that Christ is in you. That's the hope of glory. What is hope? Hope is amazing, but hope is only established
through trial. C'mon. Patience is only established through trial. But man patience is so rough dude. "Don't talk about that because it's hard for
me. Patience isn't my favorite thing." The first thing that love is, is patient. So lack of patience, patience is just the
lack of love. But it's not love this way. It's love this way. And then it's love this way. It's the love of my Father. It's loving God with all of my heart, my soul,
my strength, and my mind. And then loving my neighbor as myself. So it's this way. And then this way. Constant. Nobody can take this away from you. Man, nobody. That is what enabled disciples and men and
women of God to be crucified upside down. That is what enabled people to be burned at
the stake, and to praise the Lord until every breath left their lungs. That is what enabled people to be baptized
in countries where they were executed as soon as it was done. They pledged allegiance to another King, but
not just in their confession, in their life lived and taken. Because eternal weight of glory is on them. The truth of Christ in them, the hope of glory. It's being on fire, it's blazing, blazing
when no one's looking. On fire. It's not easy. No one said the Christian life was easy. Nobody. Man if it was easy, it wouldn't be a fight. But the fight of your faith is to maintain
who you are as son and a daughter. To be an example to other believers. So they can see what it looks like for a Christian
to actually go through hell on earth but manifest heaven. I don't know how far I read. I'll just read it again. I'll start in verse 3. "Blessed be the God and Father or our Lord
Jesus Christ who according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an inheritance incorruptible and
undefiled and does not fade away. Reserved in heaven for you who are kept by
the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for
a little while, if need be, you have been grieved through various trials, that the genuineness
of your faith, being much more precious that gold that perishes, though it is tested by
fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ." The revelation of Jesus Christ isn't just
when he comes at the end. The revelation of Jesus Christ is the revealing
of God in you, the revealing of God to you. The revealing of Jesus to you. Peter had a revelation of Jesus Christ. But the Holy Spirit wasn't inside of him,
so he couldn't maintain it. Jesus said to Peter in Matthew, "Who do men
say that I am?" To all the guys. And they were like, "Well some say this, and
some say that. Some say John the Baptist, Elijah, one of
the prophets." "Yeah, but who do you say that I am?" And Peter had this fleeting glimpse of a revelation. The Father revealed to him that he was the
Christ because Peter said, "Wow! You're the Christ, the Son of God." Jesus said, "Blessed are you Simon!" Huh. "For flesh and blood, flesh and blood didn't
reveal this to you." In other words, you didn't come up with that
one on your own, dude. The Father revealed that to you. This is awesome. And he says, "And upon this rock." What's the rock? Peter? No way! The rock is the revelation of Jesus Christ. But the revelation of Jesus Christ is only
maintained when the Holy Spirit grabs ahold of that thing and makes it real to you. So he says, "Flesh and blood didn't reveal
this to you, but my Father in heaven. And upon this rock I'm going to build my church,
and the gates of hell are not going to prevail against this." I would like to tell you that Jesus is talking
not about, not about gates anywhere else. I believe he's talking about gates right here
between your ears. I believe it, 100 percent. And he says it right in the next couple of
scriptures. It's awesome. Because a couple of scriptures later, he's
like, "Dude." I wish Jesus said dude. To me he does sometimes. "Like dude, I so love you." He says, "By the way, I'm going. I'm about to be killed. I'll be taken away." And Peter, you know this is the best thing
that ever happened to Peter. Jesus is there. He's the best thing ever. I mean, imagine that. Imagine walking with Jesus. It's not that far away. Walking with Jesus and seeing the mercy, seeing
the reality of this amazing amazing amazing man that's in front of you. That is manifesting the Kingdom everywhere
you go. Talking it. Living it. Loving it. In relationship with God, they are tired man. And Jesus is like, "I'll be back." And like, he doesn't come back. Until morning when he comes back and says,
"Hey guys, come on let's get up. We gotta go." "Where have you been, dude?" Vehement cries. Vehement cries. Vehement cries. Because my soul sees the reality of what's
coming. Not vehement cries because he's going to be
separated. Vehement cries on the mountain because he
sees the reality of what people are going to become. Because we are the joy set before him. So Peter, Peter rebukes Jesus when he says,
"I'm going to be killed." He says, "NO! This should never happen to you!" Why? Because, because Peter wants to hold on to
the best thing that ever happened to him. He didn't understand. He didn't get it. And he rebukes Peter and says, "Get behind
me Satan. Your mind is full of the things of man of
not the things of God. You are mindful of the things of man and not
mindful of the things of God." But he just heard from God. "Blessed are you Simon. Upon this rock I am going to build my church
and the gates of hell are not going to prevail against it." You just turn from God this is the rock. Amazing. The rock of the revelation of me. "Get behind me Satan. For your mind is not full of the things of
God, but the things of man. The things of God is the revelation of Jesus." Remember, Paul said, "I dare not talk about
anything except Christ and him crucified. I boast in nothing except Christ and him crucified." It's the revelation. It's the rock. But the way that seems right to a man tries
to come in right away and tell you what's real. We have to be careful that feelings aren't
in that thing. But we also have to be careful to realize
that it's all about that revelation. It's all about holding fast to that thing. He says, "Get behind me Satan. For your mind is full of the way that seems
right to a man. And that thing needs to be cut off"
That's where carnal thinking comes in. That's where carnality comes in. And I'm not talking about just carnal thinking
with no scripture. Because any place that's not breathed on by
the Holy Spirit and renewed in the Spirit of your mind is still at war against God. You can make the Bible sound like whatever
you want to make it sound like. You can take scriptures out and build some
strange, weird doctrine. But the foundation of Christ and the solid
foundation of God still stands. Those that say that they name him must depart
from iniquity. It's the solid foundation of this thing. In the sense of where Peter is, he didn't
understand it nor could he, because he wasn't born again. But to say, "You're only human, back off." Is to say, "You're only demonic, back off." To say, "Chill out man, I'm only human." That's not okay to use once you've been born
again and become a God-man. Or a God-woman. It's the love and intimacy it's the revelation
of Christ. It rocks the soul, man. Yeeahhh. I'm going to live it. Come on. Man, my Bible every time I'm going back to
push it on again, it's going back to 1 Corinthians 2 and 3. That I talked about when I came here. And it's honestly God speaking to me. He said, "Todd, what you shared yesterday
is foundational to what you're sharing tonight." What I shared last night about worldly wisdom
and godly wisdom. Worldly wisdom is sensual and demonic. It's full of feelings. Peter had worldly wisdom and said, "No this
shall never happen to you." That's why the Bible says, "If any man comes
to me, let him first deny himself." If you seek to save your life, and Peter was
trying to save the best thing that ever happened to him. Was trying to hold onto this thing. But what he was doing was not understanding
that Jesus was about to pay a price for him. Man, that's mercy. Gosh, he denies him. Jesus is like, "Man!" He knew he was going to deny him. He said, "You know what? Before the rooster crows, you're going to
deny me three times man. Three times!" Man, if that's us sometimes. It's like "Man! Seriously dude, seriously!" "All I've done, everything I've done for you
and you're going to deny me? What???" And that's not love. Well you stating that, isn't love for them. If anybody had the right to have attitude,
it would have been our King. It would have been Jesus. He never sinned. He never missed it. He hangs on that tree, innocent. Ohhhh!! Man, he never missed it, ever, not one time,
never. He's totally pure and holy and lovely. And he who knew no sin became sin, so that
you might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. To obtain righteousness in the Old Testament,
you had to walk perfect and never miss it. God said, "If you're diligent to obey all
of these things I've put before you today and never miss anything, then it will be accounted
to you. Then it will be given to you, righteousness." And in the Old Testament, everything was about
being right with God. But it was works to get you there. And it was impossible. It wasn't that God was mean. God never wanted it that way. God wanted a relationship with his kids. But the kids chose Moses because they were
afraid of God. You can't afford to choose a pastor, because
you're afraid to get in the book, man. And I'm not, I'm not saying we don't need
pastors. We do. But they're not meant to maintain your freedom. They're shepherding a flock. But man, the flock has to feed. You're not supposed to feed from just a pastor. This is all about, it will always roll back
to personal relationship and intimacy with your Father. If you live in that place, you will never
be hurt. I've lived 10 years without hurt, man. Boy, there's been lots of opportunities for
me to be seriously hurt. By the world's standards, you have no idea. It's horrible. But by the standards of Jesus, it's welcomed. If you desire to live godly, you will suffer
persecution. It's the deal. But if you're performing to try to get approval,
you're finished. And if you're doing the miraculous, if you're
healing people, and you think that's God stamp of approval on your life, you're wrong. Righteousness is the stamp of approval on
your life. You've been sealed with the Holy Ghost. Now you need to be filled with the knowledge
of Him. So that there's a no vacancy sign on your
forehead. Rarrr. So when the devil comes your way, no vacancy. No room at the inn. You need to see who you are. You need to see your created value. You need to see the reality of God. Come to me, he says, "Come to me." Man, how awesome is this? What a time we're living in. Don't miss out. Don't miss out. Let this thing just soak your fire. God wants you. He loves you. It's amazing. He'll never give up on you. He loves you. He wants you to see who you are so that you
can live a life worthy of the call. What's a life that's worthy of the call? One that's so laid down, and so surrendered,
that they say, "God, I don't have any opinions anymore." "I just want a deeper relationship with you. You are awesome." We're talking about the quiet place, and getting
alone and getting quiet. Getting still for people is like such a task. It's so hard, man. Because you occupy your time with stuff. But get quiet once. Turn the music off. Total silence. And see if the storm's not louder inside than
it is out. But God sees it. He sees that we're but dust. And he has mercy on us, man. And he wants us to know him in that place. Just being quiet. Try it for five minutes. Say God, "I'm just here to meet with you." And see if your day in front of you doesn't
go wooshhhhh. It does, but God wants you to have peace. Therefore, peace isn't a feeling. It says, "In this you greatly rejoice, though
now for a little while.." I'll read it again. It's okay. It's not tedious. That's scripture too. That we go over the same things again and
again and again and again and again and again. And again. And again. "Though through a little while if need be
you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being more
precious gold, that perishes though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor,
and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ whom having not seeing you up, though now
you do not see him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls." People have thought that this means one day
when you get to heaven. But he's not talking about one day when you
get to heaven. He's talking about you being saved up here. Your souls, like, it's not like, " Beat me
up Scotty." It's not, "Get me out of here." If you're praying for Jesus to return, and
if your life, and your prayer life is "Jesus get me out of here." It's because you don't see who you are or
what you carry when you're here. Because Jesus said, "Consider it pure joy
when you face tribulations." It talks about, it talks about joy in James. It talks about joy that produces patience. And you know what it says about patience? If you let patience have it's perfect work
in you, you'll lack nothing. So why would we avoid the patience issue? Wouldn't you want to lack nothing? Or do you like to lack everything? Patience is the key to lacking nothing. But patience only comes from knowing who you
are and whose you are at all times. So when fire comes, and when trials come,
see God's not sending the fire to you. The devil is the one that wants to send the
fire to you. Nebekenezer was the one that turned on the
fire. It wasn't God that did it. Nebekenezer turned on the fire because the
boys were like, "We will not bow to you." "I beseech you, therefore, brethren, to offer
your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God." Completely, all in,
Don't hold nothing back man. Don't allow what you've been through or what
you're going through to stop you from being a living sacrifice. And when the heat turns up, don't run. Man, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were
in that furnace man. That fire was turned up. And it turned up seven times hotter, and they
still didn't burn. But what happens, man when you go through
fire? What happens? The genuineness of your faith get purified,
but the reality of people around you that see it, get saved. Because Nebekenezer, this wicked king, was
like, "Who’s that in the fire with them? Man! Who is that in the fire with them? It's like the Son of God. Who is that? Get them out of here. Come here, boys. You don't even smell like smoke. Your clothes aren't burned. Your God is the real God. Your God, let everybody know that their God
is the real God." Man, come on, I want that! I want that! I want people to be so rocked that live around
me because they couldn't take the Christ out of me. Steven. Steven was the first martyr of the church. Saul. Saul was the one that ordered it. Steven. The New Testament. Steven. Saul ordered the crushing of Steven. Stoned to death, Saul did. And when he did this, had him ordered to be
dead, all of a sudden, they laid all of the stuff at his feet. They stoned him, left him for dead, and the
last thing out of Steven's mouth is this, "Lord!" Man, man! Religion can't do this for you. Religion can't do this for you. "Lord! Do not hold this sin against them." Boom! He breathed his last breath. That thing hit Saul. And he could never get away. He could never get away. That thing stuck with him. That blood stuck with him. And God has mercy on him. You know that, like thirteen books, and they're
written by that man. Come on, man. There are champions that are around you, that
are only waking up when you're suffering for doing good. There are people around you that are the next
Saul, the next Paul. Man, come on. There are people around you that are champions,
that are leaders, that are amazing warriors in the Kingdom, that don't know that they
are. But by them seeing you suffering for doing
good, it's commendable before the Father. And they will get wiped out with the very
fact that you were not moved, and that you're steadfast in the reality of who God's called
you to be, in the midst of perverse and corruption and twistedness. No one said this is easy. It's a fight. But the fight of your faith is to maintain
the stance and the belief system of what it means to be a believing believer. One that is possessed by the One. One that has surrendered their life completely
to the King. And they're not looking for affirmation from
people to validate that they're a Christian. Because they've got their affirmation from
their Father. So funny. It's keeps going right back to there. Ipad wake up. Oh, that's right. You're full of the Bible. Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation
of your souls. Now watch this. "Of this salvation the prophets have inquired
and searched carefully. Who prophesied of the grace. Of the grace that would come." There's that word again. Do you know what grace, my favorite, like
part of the definition of grace is? It's the divine inspiration of God upon the
heart with God's outward reflection of himself on the life. It's God's divine inspiration. It's His divine inspiration of himself upon
your heart with his outward reflection of himself upon your life. That's awesome, man. Searching what? Of the salvation the prophets inquired and
searched carefully. Who prophesied of the grace that would come
to you. Searching what? Or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ
who was in them was indicating when he testified beforehand the sufferings they faced and the
glories that would follow. To them, it was revealed that not to themselves
but to us they were ministering the things which have now been reported to you through
those that have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Things which angels desire to look into. Therefore, it shows you. It's talking about this. Therefore, gird up, gird up the loins of your
mind. Be sober and rest your hope fully upon the
grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Uhhh. As obedient children, not conforming yourself
to the former lusts, as you did in your ignorance, but as he who has called you is holy, you
also be holy in all of your conduct. Because it is written, Be holy because I am
holy. For if you call on the Father, who without
partiality, judges according to each one's work, conduct yourself throughout your time
as your time as your stay here in fear. "Wait a minute. I thought this was love." Well yes, there's no fear in love. Wow. Perfect love casts out all fear. "It sounds like it's opposite." No no no. It's the same. In this situation, he's talking about the
fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. The wisdom of the world is sensual, demonic. It's full of self-seeking, and envy, and everything
evil is there. But the wisdom of the Lord is peaceable, and
gentle and willing to yield, and full of good fruits and without partiality, and without
hypocrisy. That's the wisdom of the Lord. Without hypocrisy is the wisdom of the Lord. Pure religion is this: that one would care
for orphans and widows and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. Unspotted. Untainted. Unblemished. What does it mean to bear fruit worthy of
repentance? Repentance isn't just a word. Repentance is backed up by fruit. Tell us the Pharisees, John the Baptist. Pharisees are like, "Who are you? Are you Elijah?" "No." "Are you one of the prophets?" "No"
"Why do you baptize?" "Hmm. I'm just one. I'm just one. Crying out. A voice crying out in the wilderness. Make a straight path for the Lord to travel." He said to the Pharisees, "Who warned you,
you brood of vipers, to flee from the coming wrath? The ax is laid at the root of the tree, therefore,
bear fruit worthy of repentance. What does that mean? Man, that's awesome. Because I want that in my life. I want that kind of fruit in my life. So that the people around me can get rocked
by my fruit. Do you know this is awesome? Because fruit hangs on your tree. You don't have to convince other Christians
that it's there. You don't have to try and sell your fruit. You can just let the people that persecute
you pick it. Am I making any sense? They told me in Australia that people know
you when they just look at you like this... "It's different here," he said. Man, I've learned this. I've learned to not ever look at facial expressions
and think that they're not getting it, man. Because I have to believe with my whole heart,
that if I preach the very oracles of God. If I preach the truth of the reality of the
finished work of Christ, and stay steadfast, and never go off of this thing, people hear
it and will get it. We will get it because we want freedom, man. I'm looking at God's best. Hehhh. It's time you see yourself like God sees you. I'm looking at God's best. God's elect. His best! The best! The best. It is not according to what you've done. It's according to what he's done. All of you can live and walk with the revelation
of Christ flowing through you, crushing hell every opportunity you get. And it's the ones that are around you that
watch you go through all kinds of hell that are rocked by your very existence that cannot
live with the face of you being in the same room as them. They're not saying it out loud, but they're
very intimidated by your life. The salvation of your soul is the finishing
of your faith. The saving of the mind. We're going to one day be with Jesus, but
the salvation of your soul is you thinking with the mind of Christ. Because thinking with the mind of Christ is
having the Spirit of God put the Word of God. Remember I told you earlier, it all, it all
builds. It's awesome. It's building the same thing. It says, "The Word of God is alive, sharp,
and active. It's able to separate the soul from the spirit." So your spirit gets it. The Holy Spirit communicates. Remember, deep things of God, deep things
of you. The Holy Spirit communicates to your spirit. Your soul is on second place to your spirit,
your heart. And all of a sudden, it starts to reveal the
truth to this thing. It starts to renew your mind. You're being renewed in the spirit of your
mind. It says, "Don't be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Right after, "I beseech you therefore, brethren,
to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, which is your reasonable
and pleasing service." And don't be conformed and squeezed into how
the world wants you to. And don't be squeezed into how religion wants
you to. But you be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind so that you can know what is the will of God and what is not the will of
God. He will train your senses to discern between
both good and evil. He will teach you from inside. Be strengthened in your inner man. So that you can represent heaven in a dark
and dying world. I hope this is making sense. The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise; that
they're futile. Let know one boast in man. All is yours. Ahhh gosh, this is so good. Peter says, "Therefore gird up the loins of
your mind. Be sober and rest your hope fully upon the
grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." The revelation of Jesus Christ is the reality
of the rock that the church is built on. The gates of hell are between the ears. Because what you don't know in the Kingdom
will kill you. We don't perish for a lack of an open heaven. We perish for a lack of knowledge, and having
received it, we reject it. Don't reject the simplicity of relationship. As obedient children, not conforming yourself
to former lusts, as in your ignorance. Former lusts. What is that? The stuff that used to like eat your lunch,
man. Philippians talks about the things to set
your mind upon. Think about these things. Things that are noble, pure, lovely, honorable,
without reproach. Amazing. Set your mind on these things, not on this
stuff. Pursue righteousness, faith, love. To love the pure conscience before God. Things that violate your conscience, the Holy
Spirit wants to cut that stuff out. He wants to cut it off, so that the strength
in your inner man is so strong, that when you're conscience tells you this is not okay. He will cut that thing. Sift that think. Yank that thing out. That you will live with a pure heart, and
you will see God. Not just when you get to heaven. You'll look in the mirror and see God in you. And Peter, the one that denied Jesus says
(hehehe), "And you also be holy in all your conduct. Be holy, for I am holy. And if you call on the Father without partiality,
who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout
the time of your stay here in fear, knowing that you were not redeemed with the corruptible
things like silver or gold from your aimless conduct, reviewed by tradition, received by
tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Jesus, as the lamb without
blemish and without spot. He indeed was ordained before the foundation
of the world, but was manifested in these last times for you who through him believe
in God who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are
in God. And since you have purified your souls in
obeying the truth. (Man!) In sincere love of the brethren, love one
another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again not of corruptible seed but
incorruptible through the though, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever. Because all flesh is grass and all the glory
of men as the flower of the grass, the grass withers and it's flower fades away. But the Word of the Lord endures forever. Now this was the word, by which the gospel
was preached to you. Therefore, laying aside, all malice, all deceit,
all hypocrisy, all envy, and all evil speaking as newborn babes desire the pure milk of the
word, that you may grow therefore. If indeed you have tasted the Lord that he's
gracious, come to him, as a living, as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but
chosen by God and precious, you also as living stones are being built up as a spiritual house,
a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore it's also contained in this scripture,
behold I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, an elect precious, he who believes on him
will by no means be put to shame. Therefore to you who believe, he is precious,
but to those who are disobedient, the stone which the builders rejected, has become the
chief cornerstone, and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. They stumble being disobedient to the word,
to which they are also, they also were appointed, but you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
a holy generation, or a holy nation, that its' own special people, that you may proclaim
the praises of him, who called you out of darkness and into his marvelous light. Who were once not a people, but now you are
a people of God, who, who had not obtained mercy, but you have obtained mercy. Therefore, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims,
abstain from fleshly lusts that war against the soul, having your conduct honorable before
the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evil doers, they may buy your good
works which they observed. Glorify God in the day of visitation. Man it's just awesome
The whole thing is amazing. So good. Humph. It says in verse 25, I'm just going to touch
here and I'm going to share. It says, "For you were like sheep going astray,
but now you have returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls." He is the overseer of your mind, your will,
and your emotions. The Holy Spirit making this so real to you,
cleansing you conscience from dead works in order to serve God. I'm going to share something with you that
started in the beginning of my life. There's so much in here, hahah, we could go
forever. Ughh, it's so good. Listen, tonight when you go to sleep, the
Holy Ghost will seal it up. He's just good. He's way better than anybody. He's the best evangelist ever! Because what we want is we don't want this,
when you go out to lunch, we don't want you to have to think of yourself as an evangelist. We just want you to think of yourself as a
believer. This isn't street evangelism. Dude, we want this to be so amazing. We want you to be able to go to work and just
be a believer there that believes, man. We want you to be in your house and be the
believer that believes in your house. And if no one else does, you do. It says, "You're the light of the world. A city on a hill. A man that lights up his own house." It doesn't matter if they don't believe. Man, listen. When I came home from Teen Challenge, I was
so twisted when I left. I mean, those of you that know my testimony,
which is most of you. If you don't, I was really really lost man. Now I'm really really found. I was really really really blind. And now I really really really see. I was really really dead. But now I'm really really really alive. It's like amazing. But when I went away, I went away for two
months. I, I had never read the Bible before. I had never ever ever read a book before. So I couldn't read. I mean I could read, but I couldn't remember
anything. So every time I read, I'd forget everything
I read, so why read? I couldn't remember it. And when you read regular books, if you can't
get it, when you read the Bible, you're like______ (shakes head side to side and makes weird
noise) I went away and that scripture in James jumped
out at me about a month and a half in, when I was in Teen Challenge. And it says, "He who lacks wisdom, let him
ask God." And I freaked out and I was like, "Oh my gosh,
I'm wisdom less. That's it! I'm wisdom less! Yes!" And I celebrated it like a maniac. Why? Because it made sense to my heart, man. I had went away. I was with my girl for 9 years. Destroyed her life, threatened to kill her. All of that stuff. That twisted junk, man. All of that stuff. Hurt my daughter for 71/2 years. Destroyed everything. She didn't have a father. She had an animal. I didn't know how to be a dad. No idea. And this one scripture, this one day. "If you lack wisdom, ask God." And I went, "Oh my God, that's it. I don't have any." And it says that, "God is faithful, and will
give to he who asks. But when you ask, you have to believe." What does that mean? You believe that there isn't any way for you
to get it without him. So I just said, "God!" Because He's the shepherd and overseer of
my soul. He’s the one that knows that my head is
spinning. He's the one that know my life has been out
of control. He's the one that knows how twisted I was. He's the one that knows how hooked on pornograph. All that stuff. I was hooked on it all. And we get this weird feeling like man, we
think that we grow up that way, that that's normal. It's not normal. Adam and Eve were in the garden. Adam was there. God didn't say, "Let me create Eve because
Adam was walking around with an erection, guys"
That's not why he created Eve. People don't like to talk about this. Man, I'm telling you the truth. It's perversion. It's twistedness. It's how we all grow up, whether you're in
the church or not. We grow up because it's this thing that's
burning inside. But we don't know how to fix. So we think that we put reins on it. Putting reins on that, just entices masturbation. And that's not okay! People are like, "My kids are here." Dude! Good! It's really quiet and really weird when you
start talking about this, but it's the truth. See I thought that way my whole life. I thought that I'm a guy if I get the girl. If I get the cutest girl, then I'm the man. So all my life I was a predator on that very
thing. That's what I was after. It didn't matter who was at stake. It didn't matter who was at stake, man. That's how I lived. And we think it's normal. So then when people get saved we come into
the Gospel and we read Romans 7 and we're like, "Ahhh! No wonder. That's why I'm dealing with that thing. Because even though I want to, I don't. And even though I will to, I can't. It's just sin in me that's making me do it. The devil made me do it." I don't believe the Bible talks about the
devil making you do anything. I do believe that the Father wants our souls
to be sanctified, washed with the water of the word. I do believe He wants our consciences', our
evil consciences' to be sprinkled with the blood of Jesus, man. So how can God take such a train wreck like
my life? What's he going to do? I've horrifically hurt everybody. See people are like, "Well Todd, it's no reason
you love. You love so much because, see you were forgiven
much." Don't get self-righteous man. Don't think that I was forgiven more than
you. God says that if you miss one law, you've
missed them all. People get uncomfortable when I start talking
about this stuff, because people want their cake and they want to eat it too. Like, "I don't even like this preaching, man." Why? Because then my girlfriend and me, we can't... Come on, man. If you could taste and see that the Lord is
good, you could see that your girl is way more than just a piece of property. Listen, you could step out and walk out of
here now, and I promise that God will still get you. Because He wants to purify the bride. He wants us to be pure, even as he is pure. He wants our conscience to be sanitized, man. He wants sanitizer all over our conscience. It's called the blood of Jesus. He cleanses of who you were, and he keeps
you seated to the place where you would never do that again, and violate this. This isn't legalism, and it's not blasphemy. It's the truth. Hehh. I mean how clean does the blood of Jesus make
you? Come on, I am not condemning any of yo, because
people are looking at me with condemnation stares. I'm not condemning you. If the shoe fits, kick it off. I'm not condemning anybody. I'm calling you to freedom. I'm calling you to who God says you are. I'm calling you to what Peter was called to. I'm calling you to the reality of what he
said. Be holy as he is holy. I'm talking about a guy who missed it big
time. I'm talking about Saul that killed people
That was the lead persecutor of Christians. Who was the least. Who wrote all these books, and has inspired
so many of us. Man, he just had that encounter where Jesus
knocked off his high horse, man. He had an encounter with the King, and he
could never be the same. Conviction is beautiful
Condemnation is demonic. Conviction is amazing. We can gird up the loins of our mind. This is where the saving of the soul is. Wouldn't you want to be free in your soul
from things that are vices, that are causing you to go backwards? Wouldn't you want to be free from lusts that
are calling your name? Wouldn't you want to know that He has called
your name? Wouldn't you want to know that that lust and
that vice isn't the overseer of your soul? That it's demonic whispering that can be cut
off and shut out. Jesus said, "My sheep will hear and obey my
voice, and a stranger's they will not follow." Come on man. So my whole life was, was geared toward this
thing, how men grow up. Women grow up the same way. It's the same thing. But I know where the mind of man was, and
where I was. I got three girls. God gave me 3 daughters to teach them the
mind of man. But they have the mind of their Father, not
mine. So that the mind of man is exposed. There's a way that seems right to a man. See, God will take you just the way you are,
but the Gospel demands change. Grace demands change. Grace is the, is the, is the divine inspiration
of God upon your heart, with His outward reflection of Himself upon your life. And worldly lusts, pull us back to this place
that we don't want to be. And I'm not looking at anybody, so if I'm
looking out there, please don't think I'm piercing through you. I'm not. The Gospel does it well enough. But what you are looking at, is the man with
no vices. Is a man with no closets. You're looking at a man that worships God
with his whole heart, that doesn't have any secrets, and no hidden junk. And the truth of the matter of this. Let's see, if you say that you have fellowship
with other believers, the impossibility of that fellowship, is that you walk in darkness. Because it says that, "If we walk in the light
as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another." But we have to walk in the light as Jesus
is in the light. As he is in the light. And the light that is in him, is the light
that is in you. God wants to blood wash us, so that we can
be free from junk, man. God loves to clean closets, man. He loves it. Wouldn't it be neat to not have to walk on
eggshells? People are like, "well why can't I be bold?" One of the reasons we can't be bold as a lion
is because we flee when no one pursues us. That's why. Because when you have secrets in your life,
and you have junk in your closet, you can't be bold as a lion. You might put on a show, but you can't truly
be bold. Because boldness comes from righteousness. And when righteousness hits the soul of a
man, your life bears fruit worthy of repentance. And all of a sudden when that thing tries
to whisper to you again, you're stepping into the shadow for the Most High. I encourage all of you to read Psalm 27 over
and over and over and over and over and over and over. Because that's who you are. We might just read it at the end. It's outrageous man. So all of that junk is in my life, man. I'm up at Teen Challenge, and I get clear. And God forgives me. It's such like, not just a moment of freedom. I'm talking about 22 years of addiction, anger,
atheism, hatred. I realized my whole life has been a lie. It's been a lie, man. I twisted my daughter, twisted my girlfriend,
twisted my family, manipulated all of them to get my way. It's all about my way. And now I came into "The Way"
And it's going to change, man. And now bearing fruits worthy of it has to
happen. So I leave Teen Challenge. It's the most exciting thing. I come home and my daughter comes running
across the porch, "Daddy! Daddy,
I'm so glad you're home." I mean I left 10 months early, so it look
like I quit. I went there. My daughter is holding me as a daughter would
hold her father. I realized I was a dad for the first time
in my life, and she was 7 1/2 years old. I realized how much of a mess I had created. How much of a mess, man. My conscience is clean for the first time. I'd never had a clean conscience. It's always been dirty and defiled. It says, "To the pure, all things are pure. But to those that are defiled, whose consciences
are defiled, nothing is pure." See when you start pushing the boundaries
of conscience, and you start allowing things in and saying, "It's okay, God will forgive
me." All of a sudden, the line gets further and
further and further and further and further, and now you've got God incorporated in your
life, but you haven't surrendered. Because you still want your cake and you want
to eat it too. This is not legalism. It's the purity of the blood of Jesus. And if anybody, anybody had, should have had
a hard time with this, it would have been me. I was the worst of the worst of the worst. No religion, nothing. I didn't have anything. I had no clue. And God whispers to me, he tells me, "He loves
me." Ughh. The Bible starts to open up. I'm at home. My daughter's there. She hugs me. I say, "Hunny, Daddy's not living here. Daddy can't stay here. I'm out, but I'm not home. This is not my home." She goes, "Daddy this is your home!" I say, "No, hunny, it's not." "Daddy messed up everything. I hurt mommy. I did everything. Daddy is so sorry"
See her mother kept her up every night because of drug addiction and told her how much her
daddy is a loser, a liar. She wasn't a Christian. That's how she spoke to my daughter. That's how she spoke. Word curses. They were so terrified of me. All the time by daughter being marked for
7 1/2 years, man. That's all she knew. Daddy's a liar, a thief, can't hold a job,
rips off everybody, but he's my dad. See my daughter is like, "Daddy, no no no. You're home." "No hunny, I'm not home." My girlfriend comes out of the house, and
I am going to bear fruits worthy of repentance. The first one is, "I am sorry." So I said, "I am so so sorry to mess everything
up." And my girlfriend looks at me with different
eyes because the lamp of the body is the eye. Her eyes have changed. She looks at me and says, "I know you are. I forgave you. I gave my life to Jesus when you went away." Then she says to me, she says, "Welcome home." And I say, "Oh, I'm not home. There's no way I can live here." And we're talking. And my daughter's like, "Daddy." See I'm trying to tell my daughter how sorry
I am. See something happened to my kid. See something happened that the body of Christ
doesn't believe is possible. See God supernaturally because of the blood
of Jesus and the power of righteousness wiped out my daughter's memory of all the junk that
I had done for 7 1/2 years. From day one. Wiped it out, man. She's like, "Daddy!" I said, "I'm sorry." She goes, "For what, daddy?" "For all the times..." And she's not even hearing me, and I’m thinking,
she's just really happy I'm home. I'm out, you know. I got to see her. And my girlfriend looks at me. And I look at Dan who's there, and I said,
"Dude. What's going on?" Dan had been pouring into my girlfriend. Had been pouring into my daughter, righteousness. Had been pouring the truth of what was happening
to their daddy. And her boyfriend that she hates. So that thing had taken effect. The truth of the identity of righteousness
and the clearing of the conscience. Hahahah. My daughter really had no memory. My girlfriend and I decided we're going to
get married. But, I'm, I'm freaked out. I'm like, "We're going to plan this." And Dan was like, "You're not planning anything. You love her. I know you do, and I know she loves you. We're doing it Sunday between first and second
service." And we get married, the following, four days
later, Sunday. But that day, that day when I was on my porch
something so powerful happened to me. Listen to this, man. This is awesome. My heart, I'm on the porch, and my heart is
trembling. Not because I'm saying my sorry, and I hope
that she'll forgive me. My heart is trembling because I have the knowledge
of my Father. But my heart is trembling because my house
is full of trash. Here comes the fruit. I'm on the porch and I said to my girlfriend,
I said, "Listen." This is before we move off the porch, my front
porch. And I said, "Listen, I need to go inside and
take care of some things. I need you to watch Destiny for a few minutes." I told Dan, "I got trash to get rid of." And he knew exactly what I was talking about. My house was full of all kinds of pornography. All kinds of drugs. All kinds of stuff. All kinds of junk grows like weed in my closet? I had bongs and bowls and paraphernalia. But I had all these DVD's, these pornography
DVD's. All these playboy books. All these hustler books. All that junk I had in my house. And my heart is beating on my porch. I can't wait to get it out because now the
reality of God is in my soul. It has to go. I have to get it away. I have to. So I'm inside, inside like this. "I've got to go inside. Please don't let Destiny come inside." Because I couldn't dare think of her seeing
that stuff as just this little girl. I thought, "Oh my gosh!" And my heart never saw it before. The Gospel opens your eyes to twistedness. He takes the lens. He changes your lens. And he gives you a pure heart so you can see
God. When you look in the mirror. But he makes your heart pure, and he sanitizes
your conscience. Only the blood of Jesus can do this. Prophets, prophesy there was going to be a
day to come. They couldn't have it, but they saw it. It was reserved for us. It was reserved for US! They saw it, and they rejoiced, and they were
glad. We have to see what we've been given. They rejoiced about it. We have the finished work of Jesus. We have the reality of the cross. We have the truth of the divine nature of
God. We have him living inside of us. Him. Prophets, prophesied that the conscience,
it's the conscience in the Old Testament wasn't able to be clean. Moses was given the law, and it had condemnation,
that, it had glory. It was engraved on stones. But we've been given a different ministry. The ministry of righteousness, which has much
more glory. The law has glory, but you can't walk it out. You have to walk out 613 laws and 10 commandments
in order to be right with God. God had mercy on us. Jesus lived and walked this thing as a man. Walked out 613 laws and 10 commandments, never
sinned, never missed any. So that we can have a new covenant. The Old Testament, the law was until John. John the Baptist baptized Jesus. The heavens were opened. Righteousness was fulfilled. The heavens were opened for him. But when he was crucified, he went to hell. He came up out of there. God opened the heavens to us. Where you can live with an open heaven. But it's not just about the miracles. It's about this thing that prophets prophesied
about. The prophets said there's going to be a day
when righteousness apart from the law is going to be given. Where you are going to have, where you are
going to be able to have a conscience that is clean. Moses was given the ministry of condemnation
that had glory. It's condemnation. There's no way for you to walk this thing
out by yourself. God knew it. So Jesus paid the price. He condemned sin in the flesh. He condemned it. All of our sin was laid on him. Man, that doesn't give us a reason to not
repent. That gives us a reason to stay in a constant
communion with God, which keeps your heart in a place of godly sorrow which leadeth unto
repentance on a constant basis. Your conscience gets cleaned which was once
defiled, and all of a sudden the blood of Jesus sanitizes it. He removes every dead work that you had. Everything that you wish you'd never done. All the stuff that you regret doing. Regret produces death, but godly sorrow leadeth
unto repentance. Repentance is a lifestyle, man. Repentance is a lifestyle. It's the purity of the Gospel. He cleanses this from dead works. So I went into my house. My heart's beating. I took a trash bag. I went through the front, up in the little
closet where all my bongs and bowls are. I go through above my refrigerator. Get stuff over there. The corner closet. Around the kitchen over here. Underneath of the cabinet. Underneath the cupboard. All my pornographic DVD's. All that junk that I believed was the truth
my whole life. My soul now believes and understands that
it was a lie. I was a slave to sin, and now I'm an instrument
of righteousness. My heart is beating. It's so so beating. Why? Not because I'm violated. Because it's there. Because it's beating. Because it's the fear of the Lord inside of
me. It's the beginning of wisdom. And I'm taking every bit of this junk out
of my house, putting it in a trash bag. I had a hefty bag. Like this big, and like this full. Like 2 1/2 feet, like this much. Off the ground, full of junk, dude. Full of trash. Full of my past. The man I used to be. I cleaned house because God had cleaned this
house. So I went through, I went out the back door
so no one could see me. I went out the back door, went down the back
steps. My heart was beating because I didn't want
my daughter to ask me what I was doing. Because I have to tell the truth. And I didn't want to have to pour that on
because she's 7 1/2 and she had no idea of any of that stuff. I went out back to a burn barrel. I took my trash bag. I put it in the barrel, and I smashed it with
a sledgehammer. Smashed it, so that it was little. But that wasn't good enough, see because it
was still in there. So I went to my garage and I got gasoline. And I poured gasoline all over the top of
it. I doused it, man. And I lit a trail. Because who knows throwing a match over a
top of a barrel with gasoline in it, isn't good for your face? So what I did do, man, listen. If you would dare to do this. If you would dare to step into this, you will
find out who you really are, man. This isn't condemnation. This is freedom. This is freedom. This is freedom. I lit that thing, and I followed the path
to the barrel after it went, ""Psssh" And then it settled down. And then I stood over top of that thing, and
I worshipped Jesus over my past man. I worshipped Jesus and thanked him for my
new life. I thanked him. I thanked him. I went around the front and could see the
black smoke coming up over. We lived in a trailer. We lived in a, a very small trailer that I
kept us in for 13 years because of tragedy, man. All my doors in there have fist holes in them,
while walls have fist holes in them. Pictures over top of everything. My whole house had been cleaned. I went around front crying, thanking God. Because he enabled me to have a clean conscience. But not just saying I did, I bore fruit worthy
of the repentance. My heart wouldn't let me not now, since what
happened, since then is my heart is being trained in righteousness. Is living in purity. Is living with an unviolated conscience. So people say, "Todd, how can you live the
way you do?" This is how, I live with a clean conscience. I live with a pure faith. I live with a love for God, a love for myself,
and a love for you. And I don't violate any of those things, for
anybody at any time. You want to know where boldness comes from? This is where boldness comes from. That you would dare to make a position in
your heart, "I'm not going back." But also get out your barrel, and ask God
to purify your heart. And let the blood of Jesus do what only the
blood of Jesus can. And that's to cleanse you from dead works
in order for you to serve the living God. My daughter now is 18, and she still, people
have told me, "Watch the suppressed memories, brother. You're gonna have to deal with that. And she's going to have to get this done and
these things done in order for her to be okay." She's 18. It's 10 years, and she still has zero memory
of who her dad was. And she's never seen who her dad was right
now in who her dad is. Where that man died. So that I can live full on for Jesus. But I live with a pure heart and a clean conscience. You know Hebrews says this. It talks about purity and holiness. "Pursue purity. Pursue holiness." For without which, no one will see the Lord. Real grace empowers this real truth to happen. To where you wouldn't compromise your faith
just to feel good. You wouldn't compromise your faith just to
do this, or just to do that. Because, man, you'd rather be persecuted for
doing good than bow to something other than the King. So here's my question. I'll get a drink, then I'll ask it. Who here, do you know the Bible says, "Renounce
the hidden things of shame." Right? Do you know that? But renunciation isn't just, "Man I don't
want to do this." The renunciation of the hidden things of shame
is to the submission of the reality. It's to the submission. It's the submission of your life to the reality
of righteousness. If I'm sharing this today, and I've been sharing
this, and all kinds of junk is filling your mind up, all kinds of junk. And see, conviction, conviction comes and
grace is there to crush that thing. To disable it from being your master. It says sin no longer have dominion over you. Reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to Christ
Jesus. If that's you, and your conscience is tormented
because of this junk that I'm talking about. I'm talking about everything that's a violation
of conscience. If you're living with a violated conscience,
and it's a constant thing. If that's in you, I want you to stand up right
now. This doesn't mean that you're evil. This just means that we need our conscience,
it' an evil conscience. It's trying to torment you. You guys are amazing, dude. God will cleanse you, man. He'll clean house. Wooooshhh. To keep you from living that way. He'll cleanse you. He's awesome. He's amazing. He's good. Just say this with me right now. Jesus, man if you, if you don't pray this
I'm thinking that you really don't want a clean conscience. Jesus, my life is yours. I'm selling out everything for the sake of
knowing you. I'm asking you to wash my conscience of dead
works so that I can finally serve God. Teach me what it means to be a son. Convict me of things that need to change,
but give me the grace to change them. Conviction. Grace to change them. Conviction. The blood of Jesus wash over my conscience. Cleanse it from dead works so that I can finally
serve you with my whole heart. Help me to pursue peace. Help me to pursue purity. Help me to pursue holiness which is who you
say I am. And I will walk this thing out. Show me what real grace is. I want everybody to say this. Show me what real grace is. Show me what real grace is. Real grace enables me to live a life worthy
of the call. Real grace teaches me to renounce the hidden
things of shame. God, you see the theatre of my mind. You see everything that I see. I would like you to be the overseer of my
soul. You judge the thoughts and intents of my heart. My soul longs for you. My soul cries out to you. Here I am. Here I am.
