THEY ADDED A REFERENCE TO ME IN THE GAME?! | Subnautica Below Zero - Part 2

welcome back everybody to something oh yes what are we doing today i don't actually know we have to build some stuff what do i have blueprints for i want to get a c truck as soon as i can and i think i can make one because i got all the stuff for it but i need don't i need a mobile vehicle bay how do i make one of those people have also been telling me to make a coffee machine actually let's do that right this very second um coffee machine coffee machine coffee machine i need two titanium surely i have two titanium surely i am titanium and don't call me yes uh coffee vending machine where will we put you where are we put you where do we put you um right here this will be our coffee station the sweet scent of dirty clean water okay so people have been sending me that over and over again saying that it's a reference to me because she says dirty bean water i am the only person i know who says that so i don't know if other people actually say that or if that's a reference to me or not i'ma take it as a reference to me i'ma tell you that i am amazing and that is absolutely a reference to me because i am mister subnauticious um but it could easily not be that's super fun though ah dirty bean water lovely um apparently the vending machine is actually very or the coffee is actually very helpful now can i put i can actually fill my thermos i can bring hot coffee with me this is the greatest day that humanity has ever seen the clouds have parted and god has smiled upon us um i need to make a table um okay a desk a bench no i need like a table a power table no anyway body heat plus 50 h2o minus two yeah cause coffee is a diuretic isn't it makes you have to drink more water or just drink more coffee that's what i always say they say it's a diuretic but apparently the diuretic effects of it are far outweighed by the amount of fluid that you're actually consuming that if you were to sip like a tiny piece of coffee then yeah you might be a little tiny bit more dehydrated than you would be but because you're drinking so much fluid it outweighs the diuretic effects of it now i'm not a scientist but as an owner of a coffee company i'm just gonna side with that um where am i going next what should i do where the [ __ ] is this oh you're that one pilot last known position i kind of feel like we should go to that one but i also feel like i should make a sea truck before i get there you know i'm saying let's see what else we can build because i might have to just pin some of these blueprints so i can go off and get all the materials for them uh mineral detector mineral detector is actually kind of handy they need far more batteries um we'll pin some batteries because if you forget you can actually just pin what you want and it'll tell you up here what you need to be able to get them as you're playing um so now as i'm running around it shows me i need two ribbon plants and one copper so it's just good to have that there i forgot that last time so now i need to remember that uh mineral detector yeah we'll do that titanium silicone rubber so don't i technically need to pin silicone rubber as well let's just creep by and see clusters that's easy um sea truck i'll pin it this is our adventure for right now these are the things we need to get uh i keep forgetting that this is this map is just on f because before you have to like right click it [ __ ] ton of times until it went away copper quartz ribbon plants oh yeah it's all coming together so i need two batteries for a power cell so let's just gather up all that [ __ ] and i need a battery for the mineral detector mineral detector is going to come in clutcheroo afterwards because then you can just detect the things that you need you don't need to go searching for them like a big goat like i am right now i'm using human intellect to get them when really i could just be using technology it's like why try and think about the solution to things when you could just google it oxygen like that like i if the computer didn't tell me i needed oxygen i would go brain dead very quickly i have enough to make a power cell now two batteries and silicone there nice um i can unpin silicone as well actually still need the mobile vehicle bay though to build this and i can't remember where i get that um i'm not as finely attuned to below zero as i was with regular subnautica when the full version of regular subnautica came out i beast mode that because i knew where everything was i had basically played through the game twice before that so getting to that point was super easy but now below zero's out i forget where half of the [ __ ] that you get in this game is so it's gonna take me a while but that's fine i'm glad i'm glad to be on the adventure um i actually do need one more silicone rubber but i can make that one more battery and some glass and a wiring kit so i should pin a wiring kit and a computer chip that's the thing i wish if you pinned something it gives you all of the eventualities of that thing as well all right i just need to go look for some more copper and i need to eat i like that there's a status bar on the food now so it's like yeah you need to wait is my food really that low it's like yeah you need to eat this before the status bar goes down or you're dead righty ho ho let's make a heart thing easy so let's make the mineral detector right now the mineral detector can sniff out raw materials potentially saving you hundreds of hours of searching yes sir yes sir okay so now i just need um i don't need that one i need this one so i need silver or lead i actually have some lead i think all right this is lithium i need lead let's search for gold i'm nowhere near any gold great man this music is so nice oh oh can you not i need to get there to scan also uh a good uh update to this game is that robin told me this that in the accessibilities menu there's an option to pause the game when you're in your pda which is awesome it's really nice to be able to pause while you're searching around for stuff instead of having to manage it all at once mobile vehicle bay fragment woo let's go let's go out of here go away jesus christ you're tenacious [ __ ] passing 200 meters oxygen efficiency greatly i know i was just being chased by some [ __ ] i didn't have time to think oxygen is not in high supply down here so my brain just doesn't go back over to the chompy chomperman's because that's where the outcrops that have gold in them air i forget what outcrops they are actually um these ones argentine outcrop oh oh i'm close to one oh oh wait is it these no argentite is for silver um is it the one beginning with the g 30 seconds of oxygen remaining calvary outcrop ion cube lead gel sec i think it's the gelena outcrop okay okay easy truck sea truck they drop dangerous weather approaching seek shelter oh i've got my shelter i've got little truckee boy here hell yeah nice okay that's going to be real handy because now we can start exploring that one the pilot's last known position actually i don't know if we can go that deep yet with this because we do need to make some depth upgrades to it as well c truck upgrades depth upgrade enamel glass and a plastil ingot i make an ammo glass again oh i need diamond for that oh that's gonna be hard it's nice to have what you need like if i need five batteries for all my gear it's nice to have five extras or four extras that i can put into the charger so they're charging while i'm gone and then when i come back i just filter them all out from each other it's the same with the power cells if i have two power cells charging all the time as well as having two in it then you just have it like you have really good turnover with them um welcome aboard captain it's good it's cherished enough i want to go explore let's head out gang because you can get the boost upgrade for this as well so you can like take off at some point but i don't even have the blueprints for that yet there are more blueprints in that location where i found or at least it used to be where i found the c truck fragments you can go get more fragments for other parts of it excuse me he looked at my ship like what the [ __ ] bro oh we're in nefarious waters okay i need to avoid these guys where i can because oh god there's one there as well i don't like them oh there's one there too god you're [ __ ] everywhere can you just get lost i'll go around i'm not in any sort of rush i'll go around the island i'll be much better if you could if you could get an upgrade that was like like an actual map i know i have the map now but it it would make a lot of sense if the technology i'm able to build a tiny submarine to go around in the ocean oh god there's one there or two wouldn't it make sense lots of titanium that might be nice just build it all the way down yeah we could do that that should be what i work on so if i can build that then i can just have oxygen like go down into the base basically oh god there's one of them here there's two of them here why are you here everything in the ocean wants to kill you the ocean is a terrifying place full of misery and people willingly go into it for fun these are [ __ ] morons everything's fine everything's fine i just need to get some silver and like gold and stuff but it's all fine there's nothing here that's gonna kill you okay high capacity 02 tank easy that wasn't too much of a hassle oh so much oxygen now 135 that's so much nicer hell yeah um i can un-pen you now is that enough pipes is that enough um i can never be too sure easy easy just a kilometer away get over there pump some air down into this deep dark ocean and then we're money baby oh god so much further away than i think warning passing 100 meters oxygen control room wait you know what let's let's do this we're getting closer i know the control room will change the process of base building it contains all the information you need in a singular place energy delegation for low sunlight areas build layouts structural information is this new we're leaps and bounds away from v1 which literally just rolled to the bottom of the ocean even on flat ground rapid implosion is supposed to be painless i hope that's true definitely a better way to go than the electrical fire in v 5.7 poor way to go nasty way to go super unfortunate radio call to overhear jasmine was the latest worker that volunteered to test the control room for hazard pay of course she was on the radio examining some information panels when she experienced rapid depressurization due to a hole breach apparently the panels were welded poorly and blew a hole in the wall so now hazard pay for her or anyone else for that matter at least she didn't suffer this next build should have all the kinks ironed out so we get a tech room thing control room operational hub for observing and managing habitat power structural integrity and aesthetic design that is new or at least i've never used one have everything centralized in one place that's cool um ooh depth upgrade three kyanite nicolor yeah so i need i need upgrade one to be able to get to two and three i just need enamel glass though which is literally just finding diamonds if i can find diamonds i can get them but i have no idea where diamonds are so i should be able to just bring the air pumps all the way down if i can get like an air supply right at the tip of this base it'll enable me to get around in there quicker and better and faster and stronger so let's equip uh this and drop you there nice and then isn't there like a max distance i can go with these before they stop working yeah like that nice i think i made way too many well we have a big distance to go actually oh now we're getting efficient now going down the key to total uninterrupted focus on what's important is the ability to unfocus on the unimportant okay the ultimate goal of concentration is not to block out surrounding environments but to maintain total focus in spite of them they will be there you must not only be better than them but what is what am i reading the task revolution i've heard of multitasking negativity from mono help me because that that's big implications then for what's happening in this story are we seeing how it happened or are we seeing what happened like many many many years after i think this might be years after i did know at one point and now i just completely forget okay we got some good stuff in there a nuclear reactor fragment is big i found a lab that looked like it had been sabotaged intentionally the outside was mostly intact and the equipment inside seemed like it might have been appropriate for bacteriology before a fire tornado ran through it is it somehow related to sam's death who would have wanted to destroy the place okay it's getting more interesting it's kind of giving it [ __ ] or the last episodes um unnecessarily because of it being different i do still wish they were british because i like the the sort of more varied accents um it was just pleasant to listen to not that this isn't but you know it's just it's a different change of pace it's nice to hear uh different accents and dialects throughout the game and i just wish they didn't change it might be a scheduling conflict or it might be something got to do with the people involved in the voices or whatnot there could be a myriad of different reasons why they change voice actors um but the story's getting interesting now seems to be a lot more like like people were living here more so than previous subnautica because they were there but you didn't really get to hear that many voices this one is just way more voices they put way more effort into uh getting voice acting for most of this which i really appreciate is that a piece that i have [ __ ] it's too close to that dude though still need diamond i don't know what region oh god [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] turn on and off the lights gotta 16 food and one water it's all positives you rarely ever get that in subnautica usually there's some sort of dysfunction to it that's gonna like mess you up um i put the ribbon plants away i need to build some grow beds now uh maybe they're on the habitat builder oh yeah plant pots now i need exterior grow beds i only need two titanium for those oh mama i want to build two of them though so i need one more titanium this is gonna be great i think i can like make my own [Music] uh i think i can make my own ribbon plants and my own lets you grow plants and vegetables providing flavorful options for evading scurvy uh-huh uh one more titanium that should be easy to find right hello titanium all done now can i put can i plant these [Music] um no it's just i can consume or drop them oh yeah like this no i can just drop them [ __ ] was there a way of actually getting the plants i forget how i grow things in this game let me try with this does that does that do anything i don't know i might have to look up about uh planting and growing stuff in this game again i don't remember a single thing man i would love to have a water filtration system immediately but i need aerogel for it and i remember aerogel being a harder thing to get ooh reactor rods uraninite crystals glass lead titanium if i do that i have a nuclear reactor uh gel sacs and rubies now where jell-sacks and rubies are is completely [ __ ] unknown to me they're gonna have to go searching for some diamonds i think i'm gonna have to go like deeper down into this area here to maybe find some um gel sacks are apparently all around the twisty bridges so i can just see them like lying around here in places um this way is better but rubies i don't know rubies i think are down much deeper i think i'm gonna need some upgrades so that's why i want to find diamonds so i can get the enamel glass to get the depth upgrade for this because then we can go to the mining site which was next to where the pilot was known i think that's where the pilot's last location leads to remember there's like a big mining site down here that uh did i not get these some water there's a first aid nice beacon fragment i mean i have beacons what's this over here ah god jesus stop bouncing into everything yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah i know i know yeah we haven't found any of these rooms yet [ __ ] warning passing 100 meters inside your head now i have to make alan i'm curious how this i'm glad the story is still in it because this was my favorite part of below zero before so i'm super curious to see how this all gets it's not happening nice alan's in my head again missed alan it was super cool architect containment cube so awesome looking while advanced human civilization has attempted for centuries to develop successful whole brain emulation techniques it appears that the architect race has built a platform for accomplishing this holy grail of life extension technology physically the containment cube appears to be comprised of a redundant array of quantum holographic storage layers supporting a hyperdense capacity of 35 bits per electron i was going to say but i thought i'd read it first the energy field that feeds this suspended animated cube also serves to power the operating software allowing the intelligent in intelligence and storage to maintain consciousness throughout the storage period once a storage consciousness has been transferred out of the cube the component parts will become inert without witnessing without witnessing and carefully observing the backup process it is difficult to ascertain how the transfer works and whether or not the process is truly lossless interesting so now alan's in my head and i have to create a new body for it at least that was the story in subnautica before so i'm assuming it's pretty similar yay i'm glad we did that i was worried that wasn't going to be in the game um and how it was actually going to get me to this point because it wasn't pointing me in this direction oh god am i stuck are you kidding me i'm stuck i literally can't move out of this my game hasn't saved since i started recording this episode are you [ __ ] kidding me well that's gonna do it for this episode i have to figure out how to get out of this hellish landscape um i might be able to cheat and actually no clip my way out of it and then get back out so i'll try that in the meantime i hope i can because i do not want to be stuck here forever that would suck and have so much stuff that i have to do again but we've made some terrific progress in this episode alan's back in my head we have a sea truck we went to another base now all we have to do is get some diamonds then i can get the depth upgrade and then we can go to the pilot's last known position i don't know if i'm actually able to get in there or not but there should be some other places i can go in the meantime in the next episode but we're making some fantastic progress that has
