She left the country & abandoned all her stuff! I bought her storage unit at auction for just $150.

you know what time it is all right let's get to it this is the fun part let's see what we got that's not bad snap on and then boom the locker provided i'm excited i got my gopro let's get to unboxing what's up locker nuts all right we are at the storage facility this one this part right here is kind of weird it's like a parking garage i think the storage is up above me we're in lafayette california it's a really nice town very um very nice very pleasant very quiet um i'm familiar with it and we're about to become even more familiar with it because our oldest just moved here with his wife and i mean like just this week but that's completely unrelated i bought this locker here because well i know lafayette's a decent area high income high net worth that sort of thing and there's not that many lockers that come up here so i saw one pop up there's only one unit on storage treasures dot com and i jumped on it i mean actually i didn't really like jump on it i just went in kind of tentatively i put a little bit on it and just let it sit i had it for like 30 bucks for quite a few days and i wound up getting it for just 150 so um i don't know let's go take a look at it photos were hard to see i think i could put the photos up here i'll put them right here all right if i got photos there um you'll see what i saw i think there's only like two photos maybe three and it didn't look like much it said there's mattresses although you couldn't see it in the photo but you could see so a little bit of furniture a little bit of boxes but nothing that looked real good but it's lafayette so i'm gonna take a chance and uh also i've got the sprinter van with me and this is uh i just got done with the flea market today i'm still getting used to this van and let's see if we can fit a 5x10 in here all right let's go pay and see what's next all right guys this is it um i just paid the paperwork came up took the lock off so now it's time to you know what time it is all right let's get to it this is the fun part okay 150 bucks 150 bucks and um plus fees i got a 10 fee on storage treasures because i have their annual their premium membership or whatever so it's a 10 buyer fee instead of 15 so that has another 15 bucks not a big deal 165 bucks no tax because i have a resell license um if you guys don't then you would pay an additional uh whatever i think it's eight and a quarter eight and a half or something in this county but uh actually i kind of like it let me turn this uh camera around we can take a look all right here we go here's the uh here's the tour i kind of like it guys it said mattresses i was i don't know i've seen the big mattresses there's just some little barely twin size mattresses right there they almost look like it was for kids and i see not a lot of boxes but a few bucks is what i got back there oh i don't know there's no light in here maybe i'll turn the light on here and say is that better let's see what we got back here more boxes i think there's more boxes back there that's good it's good there's a broom sticking up that's kind of weird weird thing uh chair teeth down on the tables first things first i was not thinking this is going to be in here soon let's see what we got there we go all right it's here 12 volts not a lithium or anything but it looks clean it actually doesn't even look like it was used there's a few bugs all right i'm feeling good these are all those are often empty i would say more often than they're full so that's a good start and then here we go not bad snap on attack you guys snap on knife that's good that's good so we got somebody working right up the hall here from us we're not go i wasn't planning to do too much here anyways here's my plan right i'm going to be loading this on the cart going down to the car trying to get this um this busted out i wasn't planning on taping here but i did bring my gopro just in case but i'm going to bring these boxes back with me i'm come on we can fit all that in the van please well we'll see right but we'll see how much room it takes but i'm going to um load that up we're going to go home i'll either go through it at home or i'm going to go through it at my storage locker tomorrow morning all right that's the plan because i'll be over there tomorrow loading up for a saturday flea market all right and this will be some of the stuff we take of course we'll pull the best stuff out and that will go on our live auction on monday night but the other stuff straight to the market flip it turn it make some money take that off now i think just put it on when i go in the office okay this one's gonna be easy like really easy all right there's uh there's after load one out and we can see in here a little more not looking great right we got two more boxes back there a bunch of bedding or something right there not super jazzed about that um i don't know from the first glance this looks like just house supplies you know um in those two boxes there we've got a box denmark kitchen got a whole bunch of boxes here but you see what this is like clothes jacket sweaters and bedding and house stuff this one i think is linens towels and home stuff office supplies kitchen that's what i've been seeing i don't know what's in here but there's lots of lots of office supplies okay not super great okay but there's there's a lot of boxes there's a fair amount of boxes what three six 10 12 13 13 boxes 150 bucks it's a little over 10 bucks a box not including the furniture which we'll be able to sell quick i get my 150 bag but this is not uh i don't know expensive area lots of money in this town i was hoping for maybe a little something but um that's the game isn't it that's the game so whatever i'm going to quit talking and get the stuff to the car mr seven hands [Music] food what's up with that did i just lock it [Music] okay guys just about done last trip which was just to get this long pole i think it's like a closet rod that's really it i just didn't want to lose it oh and then i picked a few screws and things off the ground check this out one of the last items sitting on the floor a little snap-on multi-purpose tool okay it's a nice way to end it um and i'll show you the van in just a sec all right done done done done done just got my deposit back and uh manager went up and checked to make sure it was clean and all that i just want to show you guys what this looks like yeah that's pretty full pretty full i can't say it was packed all that good and if i could do it over this furniture i might just bust it up and like you know make it compact i'm not sure all the pieces are here maybe it is maybe i get a few bucks for it but it's extremely cheap it's extremely cheap there's a bunch of screws and stuff laying on the ground that i think stripped out probably when they're moving them um i'm gonna have to sort it all out i'm not sure if it's gonna come together but if space was an issue i would have just busted it up but i didn't all right so you see that's packed but i went back and confirmed it was a five by ten it is one of the corners is a little bit shorter it might have been like five by nine on one wall and five by ten on the other wall you know the back did kind of like angle yeah the check those mattresses were this didn't even really count as mattresses really like big pillows uh this one i could have got that one up top too but i just want to see if it would go sideways in here it won't the door won't close so i was just testing it out since they're clean and really light uh i thought it'd be a good opportunity to do that but yeah it's not it's not very well packed but you can see that if i had that wall here and i could have packed boxes all the way to the top it would have been a lot more efficient that is something i'm going to have to get moving on um it's unfortunate because i wasn't really factoring that in i wanted to just bang use this van but there is going to be an additional step to making this work the way i need it to um and i needed to work for me it cost me a pretty penny so i need it to work for me i needed to be fully functional but here's something interesting so when i went and checked out i said to the lady i said well i didn't find any photos but i didn't go through the boxes but from what i could see i saw household stuff like kitchen office and uh bedding into you know towels and stuff and she says yeah i'm not surprised she was a college uh student and i'm like oh okay yeah that makes sense because cheap furniture newly bought and uh not a lot of wear and tear right those three things like they had a family kids beat that stuff the heck but it was all pretty pretty uh clean and only lightly used she said yeah she went abroad to study and um they never heard from her again so she says she thinks because all the covet stuff maybe she got stuck there or maybe she just decided to stay there i don't really know but she didn't come back they don't have they're now have a way to get a hold of her and the address they said they think they have on file is no longer valid so mail's getting returned so anyways um college student uh traveling abroad covet hits well what i said was from what i saw um it doesn't look like she's gonna be like super upset about losing this stuff but i might be wrong we're gonna go through it and see what we find hopefully we find something a little bit good there i did want to show you guys this uh camera in action this is like the most perfect situation i'm in a parking garage there's pillars cars everything everywhere and you can see my 360 right there very very very accurate very accurate okay you can see the pillar right there without that being this is a huge van and i'm not that familiar with it yet this is a real real nice thing to have look at that even shows you in the front where you're going i don't know why you can't see out your front window but that's the front camera how cool is it this is a really neat really neat feature this is something they need to build into every car in the future all right locker nuts it is friday night i loaded this yesterday left it it's so nice having a van i must say i can just leave the stuff in it what a concept right but having a truck in an open bed trailer uh this is kind of a new experience for me i could leave stuff overnight and not have to tarp it or worry about it so anyways left it overnight which is great this morning i got a video out getting here a little bit late to the uh to my locker i want to unload this stuff right here okay and luckily i made room here so i went to the flea market yesterday and then uh load this back up for the flea market i know that's a lot of loading and unloading but that's what i get for not processing it the first time before i put it in here it's okay because most want to take to the flea market is in my other locker but i forgot the key again i forgot the stinking key again it's in my truck and uh so janna's hopefully gonna be bringing the key over so we can get in there i don't know it's just an adjustment i have two sets of keys i just keep forgetting to put one in the new car it'll it'll all get settled in time but right now we're going to unload this real quick and hopefully if i don't lose my light because the light bulb there's burned out oh actually i can lastly manage with a new light bulb but uh yeah if i can get this done in time let's go through some boxes shall we and uh hopefully we can go through some boxes i'll put my gopro on we'll film it and maybe we'll find some more good stuff or maybe we'll just have some stuff ready for the market tomorrow i don't know but i got to start grooving okay it hasn't even been that long 15 minutes maybe i got most of the van unload at least all the big furniture is out but the lights gone i don't know what i was thinking it was dusk i just hoping that it might last a little bit longer too dark to work in here even if i got a new light bulb look how tall that is i need a ladder uh maybe the office has got one of those pole things she probably does but uh it's no matter because guess what i figured out guys i could unbox in here i can stand up fully i got room to walk around this is great this is getting used to my new van and the new experience and the opportunities that come with it um i'm excited about that look at this all led lights up there they're super bright and from what i understand i think you can leave these on basically like overnight and it won't drain the battery because they're leds they don't draw very much but even if it did i got two batteries in this sucker i'm not i'm not going to be running out of juice no time soon so anyways i'm excited i got my gopro let's get to unboxing okay okay okay there's part of the lamp the other parts in the locker i'll have to add that to it a little kitchen towel arabiata sauce from trader joe's where's the expire date or i'm sorry where's the best buy date hmm let's see it i bet you this stuff might actually be good still trader joe's tomato basil marinara marinara i don't see the date if it hasn't expired i could actually donate this turkey chili november 2020 well that's cutting a little close i won't be partaking what's this bang it's some kind of vaporizer or something here's some tea supports respiratory health and it's caffeine free let's see what else we got in here not too much unfortunately this is kind of nice it's got chips though chip chip chip chippity chip chip that pretty much ruins the value what's this honey best buy 320. see that 320. now honey doesn't go bad right you uh it's not even open they actually found honey inside pyramids that were not spoiled i'm sure it was pretty dang crusty and hard but it doesn't go bad it's like the only food on earth it doesn't go bad this one right here extension cords already peeked in here and it's got no secrets it is extension cords this will go to the flea market why not okay let's see what we got in here sour cream that doesn't sound like sour cream nuts and screws oh yeah i think we've peaked in this one already we got this guy right here this mr seven hands and flashlight what the heck oh there's no batteries that's actually kind of cool but it fold up because oh okay just gotta push harder mr seven hands not super well made this is not a high quality toy right there dry deck spackling it's a little a little hard oh yeah yeah yeah wait no i thought this was the snap-on knife this is something different they must have bought a snap-on kit it had all kinds of stuff oh that's a flashlight that's cool okay there's some paper towels and that is not getting sold that's the people that's a keeper and that's a nice brush i'll tell you one thing about this locker everything looks like really it's not super high-end stuff uh this is the quickie right there quickie but um it's not terrible stuff it's just not high-end stuff but it's like barely used i don't think she lived there very long oh that's a nice hammer too that's a really nice hammer hammer hammer they put me in a mix that's a good one it's not dry little tape measures clothes rod a closet rod what's this netgear i think this is a modem wireless cable data gateway ah man i'm tempted to keep that hammer though the hammer the hammer i'm gonna keep it don't tell jenna oh that's kind of funny right just because i was just talking about needing a light bulb and then boom the locker provided it's a nice little waist basket stuff this big one's actually nice got the lid right there you know what else is kind of funny the locker's needing a light bulb boom light bulb guess what else the locker needs it needs a broom i was just noticing i took my broom out i always keep a broom right here i took it out probably to brew melt the uh a recent locker there you go that's how way it works sometimes in this business that then looks really good right there but guess what that's my bin that's why it looks so good that's my stuff all right what's in here okay this is the lamp for one of those lights over there the lampshade if it's all cracked so that's going to the dump nice little teapot a pillow and this appears to be a printer hp laserjet p1102w and i don't know all right next box says kitchen i wonder what's in here oh looky looky kitchen yup yup actually these aren't bad i mean you got all the lids right there let's see what her chipped right there keggers makers keggers for makers i wonder if her name was megan or something okay those are kind of cool i wonder if these are machine washable made in finland um i doubt they are machine washable my guess is she probably didn't machine wash them because you see the wood spoon right there that's too bad because they're kind of nice mikasa terra dune that's good okay okay next box this one says office supplies is this one we looked in originally possibly afternoon blaming chalk blammy blammy come on gift cards thanks a million nope hmm my girls could use that i think postcards that's cool a vatican nice very nice those are not old postcards but i want we should put them in one of our postcard box why not and that's a good one right here they also like a really nice box cutter and put that with mustang okay a bunch of little thumb jacks thought this isn't accidentally going to happen at least got that nice little tin right there harman kardon little computer speakers that's nice a bunch of blanks dvds okay spray adhesive yeah there's a lot of office supplies in here adhesive bandages with skull and crossbones empty though i don't see anything too exciting in here some little coasters that's cool little walk easy screwdriver that's nice little wd-40 hard drive master hard drive all right this one says kitchen let's all right see surprise surprise kitchen ziplock bags aren't bad i'll keep that that's gonna be save the money from me plastic wrap aluminum foil all right plastic bags i'm keeping i use that for my auctions you know we auction stuff off and we lot them up and some bowls candles some food see they're kind of jerks about selling food at the flea market though the one i'm going to tomorrow it's more black tea right here we do not let us sell food they actually come around and they're like oh you're good so food let's see a big pan on the bottom a couple of big pans that's good they're not high-end pans these are not high quality ones that's cool a little cork uh trivets nice office supplies a couple binders i can't imagine those doing too well at the market here's some envelopes we'll probably sell that black shimmer black shimmer what is this a bunch of cables some hard drives any cables i need in here i don't think so yeah computer stuff all right some crafting stuff glue gun blank cards hmm that's something different though okay right out the gate forever stamp is 50 cents each one two it's a dollar okay there's like six more four bucks and stand i know that sounds kind of pathetic but i'm taking everything i can oh this we did look in this one before because i'll get right back to that i just spotted something i don't want to forget and that's this the snap-on knife they must have bought a little snap-on kit that's decent it feels nice i wish i had a clip to put on my belt we'd like it anyways it's a little leather card pouch here oh medical marijuana card that's funny expires on may of 2011. i guess that's our gal she don't look like college aid what the heck it says this guy was born 1984 1984 but they told me she was a college student i mean maybe she is but i don't know you just think it's someone young like just starting out that's why they have all this like low end brand new stuff because they're just starting out i don't know maybe i assumed here's a key that potentially is a key to that file cabinet because that thing is kind of janky put that aside all right the last thing in here is this samsung dvd player it's not a um i don't see anything that's just blu-ray on it i'll tell you it's really hard to sell um sell them unless they're blu-ray they're blu-ray they have a little bit of value but they're not blu-ray they ain't much at all okay we got here it says bedding and house stuff house oh there saw a bag handbag i'm like oh oh well lepault paris what pulse i see a little a little scuffing right here but it doesn't look to be heavily used let's look at the inside see if it's in decent condition yeah actually that looks really clean instead i'd love to look up le paul and see if that's got some value i hope so paris got that going for it scruples it's a question of scrabble one of my favorites good couple bucks really guys it's not big money none reel it in a little bit about that oh and look who it is here she comes to save the day jana what what does this look like it's a job site spark right here okay back to work she's about to about to get here okay i know what this is guys because i found one almost identical to this it was wood it seemed way more high quality though this is a vaporizer this is to deal with smoking various smokeable stuff if you know what i mean the one i found was way nicer way nicer than this and i sold it for over 100 bucks i think if i remember correctly it's over 100 bucks on ebay this little guy right here might have some value all right on ebay so we're gonna put that aside here we got some paper and stuff and yeah not too much else exciting cutting that that's it for that part okay jenna's cracking the whip so i gotta hurry here one more talkie talkie i gotta i gotta get over to the other unit or she's gonna my help's gonna leave me the last box guys last box and it says close and i see only sheets i see a bunch of sheets this one's full of sheets she gets it she gets it okay we are done we're done that's everything and that wasn't so good there's a couple things to bring home and look up i'm sorry this is not an auction this did not produce hey i'll i'll lose in lafayette you know three times for every one win right lafayette's the right city to take a chance in unless you're my competition stay away from lafayette it sucks all right so that's gonna do it for this locker 150 bucks plus a 15 fee at the storage treasures 165 invested not a great investment here i got my money back i'm almost certain of it right we went to the flea market we sold tons of stuff i sold that drill right away for 25 or 20 20 or 25 i mean it didn't take much to get the money back but i don't think we made very much money okay we didn't really the furniture actually turned out to be okay it was ikea stuff and most of the big pieces were all part of a single bed and it was a trundle bed so i had this sliding out area and they had three drawers so that all together was like a 300 bed i think the mattresses were 100 each but the only thing is it was missing all the hardware screws bolts dowels all that was missing everything you need to connect it and make it secure so we could have listed for like 50 to 75 bucks on facebook probably taking a while to sell it but you know what we did instead we put it up for free and it was like boom gone within like 30 minutes with janna took pictures at the unit put it on facebook gal showed up probably about 30 minutes later and it was gone so she was very very happy she's a single mother she came from about half hour away and she said her daughter is going to be so excited and she didn't seem overwhelmed by the fact she had to get a hold of ikea and get those replacement bolts she seemed up to the task so we're happy to help her out you know it goes to a good home but the story on this one so that's kind of interesting we were told of course at first that it was a college student traveled abroad and because of kovid couldn't make it back all right but that's not entirely true as i come to find out she wasn't exactly like some young college kid starting out and that's why all the furniture was new and lightly used no she was a little bit older she already had a degree she was going actually back for her phd i found her resume and that's what it said she was going to school for a phd and her resume was like five or six pages long but in the five or six pages there's not one line of real world work experience like her entire resume was all about paper she wrote about plays she was in at school you know theater um an article she had written for this publication or that publication is all academia basically there's no real work on the resume but um i don't know i don't even know what she was using a resume for quite frankly i don't know what she was using it for i don't know if she was applying anywhere but i did find her on facebook okay and that's where it's interesting because it on facebook it says that she moved to amsterdam in november of 2019. so i don't know how long the storage facility been sitting on this but as far as i know cova didn't break out till like february march-ish she was already fully moved to another country before then so it may have just been a reason she gave the facility that she was coming back for her stuff was kovit i don't really know but um whatever it is i don't think that was the reason i think that was an excuse all right i think she gave them an excuse whatever at least we know that she didn't like go somewhere and you know catch this terrible illness and couldn't get home i thought maybe she traveled home to see her family like maybe she you know had come to this country from somewhere else and travel back and then covet hit and she said you know i want to stay with my family they're who i love i want to be close to them i would have understood that right we could understand that it doesn't necessarily mean she got sick but in this case it was none of that really i don't think she was from another country she was from here she wanted to move the amsterdam she very political very much of an activist she was involved with protests and and all this weird stuff that had happened back in april i think she was very much part of that and i know this was her because she had made a like a a sign out of paper and mounted it to cardboard and i didn't show it in the video because the the sign was actually pretty profane and vulgar and i don't like that on the channel so i didn't put it in but she had taken a photo put it on her facebook so i know i had the right person that's the story not quite as coveted related as we first thought but that was the story that was given to us but you know what it's kind of fun sometimes to try to it's almost like a you know nancy drew or alfred hitchcock here we're trying to get to the store you know there's a mystery and it's like what's the story you know how's it going to play out well sometimes we don't know until we get to the end and uh i don't know i kind of like it i hope you guys like it too so hey that's it for this video but i just wanted to say since we're dropping this on thanksgiving that i am so tremendously thankful for all of you all right you make my channel possible right without anyone watching it well there wouldn't really be a channel right you guys make it happen and i i fully recognize that and i 100 how about 101 percent no 110 percent am thankful for it all right that's the silliness but i really am thankful i'm just trying to say that i'm abundantly thankful for each and every one of you that watch the videos i really appreciate it you know jenna and i are always blown away by how much support and kindness and warmth and love we receive almost daily through the comments and how many views we get and thumbs up and shares and everything that you guys do it blows us away really it does it blows us away because i'm just some guy who has this hobby that turned into a business and i'm just filming it and sharing it and of course it's obviously turned in so much more and uh it's just amazing really it's amazing it's it's been such an experience and right now i just want to say on this thanksgiving we're completely thankful for it and i'm thankful for you all right i hope you guys have an amazing holiday if you can share it with your loved ones i hope you do if you can't you're alone well then just know that uh you know you're not really alone we're all in this thing right now together this craziness this uncertainty turmoil everything that's out there we're all in this together you're not alone all right we're all in this
