Record Breaking Gold Find with a River Sluice!

[Music] this time on focus prospecting oh my god that is a pan full of freaking pickers why has nobody worked this spot before steve what's up guys my name is chris from bogus prospecting and this is fast friday and that is steve today i'm digging that hole out if you want to know more about this check out the video i've linked above on youtube and i'm pumping all this dirt through my gold rat mini six test pen [Applause] i didn't do much better than steve we got one and then we've got the other one up there but i don't want to get on the bottom there's chunky bits that's what we're hoping for let's get to work one two two one two come on [Applause] oh we've got a uh mother wolf spider holding her egg zach get out of here go look after your babies i don't know where you went oh there we go we got a crack look the abbey just there there's al all the creatures are here oh yeah yeah you go about here i'll pick you up and move you on ah goodbye test fan [Applause] super confusing result because i've got one two three four and then there's some micro bits in there and i'm seeing way more gold than that in the sluice a little bit difficult to see there's a nice speck there and these cells have chunky gold in them it took a little while however finally the test pans are showing the color that i'm seeing in the sluice nom nom nom nom nom nom nom many little bits little boogers yeah this is looking good is that a is that like a a little nugget i really hope that's a nugget 100 shovels later time for yabby pumping [Applause] nuggets no nuggets hmm gold i just been clearing rocks out of the deeper sections and i threw one up and i just spotted a piece of gold oh it's not stuck to my finger where'd it go there piece of gold nice yellow rock you sound like the opposite of mick mick thinks everything's gold and every pan that i yabby pump up and put down the sluice is just loading the mat with pieces and look at the size of that bit typical supervisor standing there doing nothing no over there a bit oh yes as per usual i'm on a super tight time frame but this keeps giving check this pan out look at the gold that right there is a beautiful little picker i pushed as hard as i can to get as much dirt through this as possible in the time i had and steve reminded me that i'm out of time let's pull the sluice see what we got because it was freaking good from here wow that cell is full of course gold there's a picker just literally sitting there on the mat i'll put that in the pan and i know those other go oh look at the size of that bit look at it that's nuts look at the size of that i don't know if that's a lot of little gold or one big bit i need a stick no that's just a heap of flying gold that's not even one big bit i'll take that it's just oozing out of every cell okay let's wash it out there's so much gold in this okay let's see i love and hate this bit like sometimes the sluice lies to you think oh i've got really good gold in there and you get down to the bottom it's just a couple of bits and that breeds a lot of anticipation a slow reveal the very slow reveal oh my god that is a pan full of freaking peckers why has nobody worked this spot before oh lovely steve lovely that's that's not bad for just a couple of hours with the rivers loose freaking what that is a totally unexpected result we have one two three like three good pickers and just chunky coarse gold i reckon that have to be well over a half gram there so if no one works this spot over the weekend on me i'll be back to clean it out fully mick and i came out late sunday afternoon just to finish this spot off we only had a couple of hours where i left the last video here i'd finished this area it had flooded this filled back up with rocks i cleared the rocks and i followed these two crevices that were in behind this original bedrock shelf life started here and the gold that i've got so far and just the test pans is ridiculous i pulled the sluice out because it's time to go and would you just have a look at the gold we got one nice bit there one nice bit there heaps of nice bits there well that sells full of nice bits nice bits nice bits in this loop this is a super rough reveal of what i picked up for two hours in the same spot oh look at the gold there's no fine stuff it's all chunks yeah yeah look at it so i gotta add this to the total i got the other day in total i've got about four and a half to five hours wrapped up in this spot with just a river sluice and a yabby pump this was meant to be a fast friday but it turned into a lazy sexy sunday right before we jump into the way up of this gold i wanted to let you know about my prospecting guide i have linked it in the description below it's 40 pages of information that's going to help you go out hours worth of rivers losing next to a clash guitars pick for a bit of scale and would you just look at it that has to be one of the richest little pockets i have ever hit just the sheer number of pickers and course gold was mental not including the half dozen sapphires i pulled out of the concentrates but now it's time to get this on the scales first we're going to weigh the sapphires just over four carats of sapphires so we'll add those to the local gem jar first i'm going to weigh all the pickers [Music] 0.22 of a gram from just pickers now there is a mighty fine line of booger sugar in here so we are going to hope for over a gram i'm hoping for 1.1 grams don't fail me now 1.615 grams we absolutely crushed that then we got 1.6 grams this would be like your biggest gold take ever ah don't eat my microphone one point six one two grams of gold is worth a hundred and fourteen dollars and fifteen cents australian at the time of recording which means for my five hours work i pulled out approximately thirty dollars an hour which is the single richest spot i have ever worked with a river sluice well that has brought us to the end of the show thank you so much for watching i hope
