oh no way that was awesome hmm hey do you think she can sniff out the gold hey can you train her to smell gold i know a real gold hound a real gold house okay ladies listen we're not playing around now this is this is business we're gonna find the nuggets okay this is gonna be such a great trip we got a couple days we're camped up top at the truck we're over landing with a rooftop tent we're down at this gorgeous river which we know has coarse gold in it but we want to find like a real deposit of it we want to find some big pieces we're going to explore right to the very end of our claim we've never even been there it's pretty remote [Music] you can do it gold's down there follow the girls this creek it's just beautiful oh man this bedrock here looks so promising oh yeah that's jammed in there certainly no one's been up here digging around for a really long time if they've ever been here hey do you think you could pan that out in like one second and then just show me yeah okay oh college fun trip we were we were in the gold savings already we were already in it dave i want to be a little more social because i'm uh i'm on being in business mode here well that's good work day we got business to take care of we're packing our mind down to the claim we got a whole pack string of ladies and even some boys we'll see what they can do well the high banker conveniently fit in this ancient mcgregory backpack thanks mom and dad i think this was my graduation present a few years back so we are trying to find a good spot to high bank and this stuff looks promising but it hasn't promised much but rose what do you got oh yeah that's nice it's not great those little pieces in there this isn't great but dave wants the high bank so bad we're gonna so we're gonna high bank [Applause] wow this is this is quite a troupe of workers three most important things good for you me yeah the pump and the food good we're not expecting much i'm not and hopefully we can find a better spot because dave is pretty demanding right like he's out of yourself where's the gold and i'm like feeling bad anyways okay oh there's a piece let's see peace yeah there's some little ones let's look right up at the top oh dad there's a piece right here let me see i don't think that's gold actually right there there's so much shiny stuff yeah that looks like a flake right there oh hey stop no no hey stop you don't get to snuff her out of this thing man right there there's like a little ring of gold and that is normally 10 times bigger when we do a good run at the freezer that there's a piece right here and then where is it don't let him snuff for that okay let's clean up yeah okay we had a actual catastrophic failure of the honda pump turns out every time dave comes prospecting with us the pump just seizes so we actually got one run through the high banker this could be the spot right here cause this could be where it's all coming from like a really hard packed river gravel but then there's this distinct seam there's a little bit of black stuff and then a lot of rust i'm excited because this could be really cool it's the first time we've seen it's the first time we've seen an exposure like this well we're on to something anyways look at the garnets in this pan i've already thrown most of them out and picked out the big ones but like this is just one pan and it's solid garnets and what we found is that that layer up there with the boulders you guys were probably telling me already but that one is full of garnet absolutely chocolate box full rose is that not ridiculous that is crazy that is a monster show it like you can still see the the angular sides of it yeah how big is that it's like it's almost half an inch in the big biggest direction hey crazy that is a huge almondine garnet wow wish we could show the i can already see through it even though it's rough i know don't disappoint me ross not a piece this is my third pan with nothing hey rose don't look now but i think i found the problem [Applause] [Laughter] you're discouraging him it's his first time gold panning you didn't get anything either hey dave as kenzie would say yeah it's not it's just not this is not the magic gold hole maybe we should maybe we should move along we need to move along what did you ladies find lots of little stuff oh man that looks really nice look at that and we would have cleaned it out tonight and looked like heroes yeah but now you kind of look like losers with a broken pump that's the beauty of prospecting man is you just have no idea yeah i that's how that's what i felt like today he just has no idea so you take one spoon and you just drizzle it on oh look at that oh there's a chunk hey that's a nice looking one that's cool so one spoon of concentrate now if we had like good concentrate it would be a lot more than that so there's the gold i gotta dry it so i can weigh it how are you gonna do this i'm just gonna dry it in the fire okay and yeah this will work that's gonna get really hot really fast yeah look at that just like that wow we got it all dry and now yeah don't let it blow away so windy [Laughter] cool that's really hot oh man girls wow look at that more than i thought actually double what i thought 190 why is it going down so much it was like at 190 before oh what's going on i think the wind is affecting it let's say is 173. yeah he was up there i mean that's beautiful gold i see it right but it's a tiny amount so when you do test pans and it shows like tiny amounts of gold and then you high bank in those same spots you get just like a little bit more than a tiny bit of gold that's what we learned but hey dave technically like a ninth of this is his nice so that's 20 milligrams which is about a ninth of that is he still there yeah [Music] you can head on home anytime this is his home yeah away from your home anytime that's a good bear where is he now you can just keep on moving rose he's moving no he's not he's standing right well i mean he's generally moving well let's go have a closer look yeah it's a beautiful bear there's six of us we could totally take them if we needed to he's still there yeah he's moving yeah he's a goner hey bear keep on moving oh he's like 75 yards it is better when they run away but i'd rather see him and know where he is than not see him and know that he's just a
