Pokémon Ultra Sun Hardcore Nuzlocke But I Can Only Use SHINY Pokémon!!

hey guys how's it going this is twig 387 and in this video i'll be attempting a pokemon ultra sun hardcore nozzle using only shiny pokemon i know i always say this but 95 of people watching my content aren't subscribed i put an insane amount of time and effort into this run since i did this with full odds so i'm practically begging for you to support the video at this point it would mean the world to me since it helps out the channel so much with that aside these are the general rules for this run if a pokemon faints it can't be used anymore and must be boxed set mode must be turned on no in-battle items but held items are okay i can only catch the first shiny encounter per out no leveling past the following kahuna's ace pokemon and i also decided to turn the xp share off and ban zed moves and like always i'm playing with the extended species clause so this this is gonna be painful not only are the odds of finding a shiny four times higher than in my previous shiny run but ultra sun and moon are notoriously difficult games many trainers have pokemon with perfect ivs and strategically invested evs i'm gonna have to spend just as much time planning each major battle as i do actually looking for the shiny pokemon also in order to not make this video an hour long i'll be skipping many fights that i think were easy or unexciting notably many rivaling captain fights i'm naming my pokemon after a common theme so if you can guess that theme comment your answer down below also if you have any suggestions for future challenges leave them in the comments below so without further ado let's get into this first things first i start soft resetting to get a shiny litten i find this to be the most excruciating part of a shiny nuzlocke what's even worse is that you can't actually see if you find a shiny until you're prompted to give it a nickname it took me over 7 hours to finally get my hands on a shiny litten that's about 2 000 soft resets according to my calculations and that's considered lucky but my god does he look amazing i name him lily lily has a gentle nature which is a little disappointing my rival alolan hop then challenges me to a battle but a few turns into the battle i'm hit with a hard realization every single hit that lately takes is absolutely nerve-wracking one unlucky crit could mean i'd have to spend seven more hours just soft resetting the fear of having to start all over again finally outweighs the effort of looking for another shiny so i decide that i absolutely must get another encounter right now i head to route 1 where i end up finding a pika pak that i named rose i actually really like two cannons shiny sprites so i'm super happy about this rose has a modest nature which is about the worst nature i could have asked for at least it has the ability to skill link which means multi-attack moves always hit five times so that's pretty good i then make sure to ev train my pokemon and in the process of it rose evolves into drumbeak it's time to take on the first totem pokemon gum shoes before the battle i taught rose brick break which will deal super effective damage against the normal type gum shoes as a result rose is able to dish out big damage absolutely demolishing the totem gum shoes after that it's time to take on kahuna holla holla lates with machop and i with rose rose starts setting up with workup as hollas machop uses focus energy this allows rose to set up one more time since even a crits shouldn't take me out here after that one pluck is enough to finish off my chop makuhida comes out next and hits rose with a fake out which doesn't do much so on the next turn another pluck takes out makuhita last up is kerballer but one more pluck is enough to secure the win that's the first trial completed with the raised level cap i'm finally able to evolve lily into a torah cat next up is the water type pokemon araquanid considering i only have one viable member for this trial i realize i should probably have more pokemon at my disposal hence i make sure to look for another encounter and end up fighting a poliwag after about 5 hours i name her hibiscus hibiscus has a bold nature which is nothing special not getting too lucky with the nature so far it is now time to face the totem pokemon i decide to lead with rose one pluck brings iraq on it to a little over half health but he then calls for an ally which turns out to be masquerade masquerade has intimidated so rose's attack gets lowered meaning another pluck likely won't take out araquanid it's all good though since araquinit doesn't have much he can hurt rose with so after two more plucks the totem pokemon goes down masquerade manages to paralyze rose so for safety's sake i switch into hibiscus to my surprise masquerade really doesn't want to go down without a fight and ends up causing hibiscus quite some trouble so ultimately i switch into lily who finally finished off the masquerade with a firefang that's the second totem pokemon dealt with and no death so far okay i shouldn't have said that somebody knock on wood after hitting nature's gym aka a patch of grass hibiscus evolves into a poliwhirl next is kiawah's trial on a volcano hibiscus sets up with rain dance to power up bubble beam and to weaken opposing fire type attacks because of this a super effective bubble beam deals over half damage on totem marowak and actually one shots the allies to lazzle marowak connects with a brick break which brings hibiscus to 7 hp to say i got a heart attack would be an understatement i know that hibiscus out speeds however so i go for a final bubble beam which takes down marowak and that's the third trial completed on my way to the lush jungle i happened to come across some sort of motel i head inside and whoa sorry about that claudion didn't realize you were in here i also find a water stone and since i don't really care for any of the moves that poliworld has yet to learn i just evolved right away next up is totem pokemon lurantis this one can be quite tricky because she has access to synthesis additionally her ally pokemon can set up sun heal her and buff her defense so i gotta make sure she does not stall me i lead with lily but after realizing that lily just doesn't deal enough damage i switch him out for rose now laurentis isn't the only one who has access to a healing move because rose has roost he's able to outstall laurentis's stalling i make sure to target down keckley on first and so after a while rose takes her out after a lengthy period of dealing damage and healing rose is finally able to take out laurentis with a critical hit pluck you might think this was lucky but the battle had been going on for so long at this point that statistically this was more likely to happen than not shortly after rose finally takes down confey as well that is half the trials completed before taking on the kahuna i make sure to level up my entire team to the level cap and in the process rose finally evolves into two cannon and learns beakblast a move that will come in super handy later it's finally time to take on akala island's kahuna olivia now i know the community likes to sim for her but let's try to be respectful okay anyways i lead with hibiscus to counter olivia's anareth hibiscus connects with rock tomb which lowers anariath speed so on the next turn hibiscus out speeds and takes out anarith with a bubble beam lily comes out next so predicting a giga drain i switch into lily i've taught lily leech life so he's able to slowly but surely wear down olivia's relief whilst also gaining back health which ultimately takes the leap down lastly lycanrock comes out and predicting a continental crush i switch into hibiscus who takes the hit very well hibiscus tries to land a bulldoze but flinches not once not twice but three times in a row on top of that lychen rock also gets a crit despite this hibiscus finally pulls through and lands a bulldoze lowering lychen rock's speed this allows hibiscus to out speed on the next turn and take it out with a brick break despite some poor luck we managed to take the win unharmed to celebrate my win i decide to hunt for another encounter i end up finding an alolan diglett for some reason in the heat of the moment i forgot that i'd already named one of my pokemon hibiscus so i end up accidentally naming diglett hibiscus as well for clarity's sake i'll refer to her as hibiscus ii hibiscus ii has a quiet nature which is absolutely horrible since it cuts her speed and gives her special attack which is useless for her i then immediately evolved hibiscus 2 into a dog trio giving her some absolutely dazzling hair i then ascend mount hokulani to take on the totem pokemon togenimaru i was actually caught completely off guard and didn't have time to get ready so i end up leading with rose it's no big deal though as i can just switch back into hibiscus 2 who is immune to tomorrow's zing zap hibiscus gets off a few bulldozers before she's forced to switch out into lily lily manages to burn talking to maru with a firefang which is absolutely crucial after taking some damage though lily is also forced to switch out into hibiscus 2. this turns out to be a stupid play as hibiscus 2 is immediately brought down to 3 hp because together maru is burned i decide that it's safe to send out hibiscus now and turns out it totally is hibiscus manages to take out together with a few bulldozers and so it's only skarmory left hibiscus deals minimal damage on disc armory so i end up switching to rose a beak blast ends up burning skarmory and not much later rose takes him out with a brick break winning me the fifth trial having done some more xp training lily finally evolves into an incineroar and my god does shiny incinerator look absolutely amazing it's then time for a serolous trial where i have to take on the totem pokemon mimikyu i lead with lily with the intention of lowering mimikyu's speed twice with bulldoze and kill banette with the darkest lariat two play roughs should take lily to about a quarter health activating a wikiberry which allows him to get off an extra hit luckily mimikyu misses her first attack not so luckily the next play-off ends up being a critical hit this jeopardizes my entire plan since the wikiberry won't activate now meaning lily can't lower mimikyu's speed one more time which would have been crucial as you'll see shortly anyway lilly does manage to take down banette i send out hibiscus 2 next had i landed a second bulldoze here hibiscus 2 would have outsped and taken out mimikyu with a super effective iron head but since i didn't mimikyu gets to move first and lands a shadow claw it's enough to kill losing something you spend hours looking for just hurts differently that's the first death of the run i send out rose next rose does get lucky and avoids some of mimikyu's attacks and manages to take out jealousy as well thankfully brose manages to finish off mimikyu with a steel wing winning me a very tough battle your beautiful locks will not be forgotten hibiscus 2 i head to blush mountain next to look for someone to replace hibiscus 2. i end up finding the school bus from spongebob i catch her and name her tulip tulip has a naughty nature which once again sucks directly after i will tulip into a vika vault gotta say i freaking love that shiny sprite now it's time to fight kahuna nanu i lead with biker volt who is able to kill sablai with one shot alolan persian comes out so i switch into hibiscus nano attempts to use a zed move but it doesn't end up doing much a few brick breaks later alolan persian goes down next out is known as croc rocks so predicting an earthquake i switch into rows rose uses bullet seed which is enough to take out croco rock that was actually pretty easy after that i make my way over to the other foundation plot twist they're the bad guys pretty surprising huh no well i'm challenged by team skull leader guzma or as his friends like to call him bug catcher gus i lead with rose to use beak blast to burn galicipod and force him to switch out guzma sends out pincer instead so i switch into hibiscus hibiscus poisons pincer with toxic and also wears him down with some rock slides until eventually pincer goes down guzma sends out vikavolt so i counter by switching into my own vikavolt tulip my vikavolt is clearly the stronger one though so a single bug buzz takes out the opposing vikavolt next out is masquerade so i switch into lily masquerade brings lily very close to death with bug buzz but thankfully no crit so lily heals with the wikiberry and counters with firefang masquerine barely survives but gets burned so the burn damage is enough to take him out last out is galicipod once again but he's not too threatening due to his burn i predict a razor shell by switching into hibiscus who has water absorb and then finish off guzma with a few rock slides i head into loosimin's office or something and meet up with the gang now prepare for another plot twist lusamine is the mother of gladion and lily i know how i'm just as surprised as you are i mean there has been no indication of this whatsoever mind blown with all those plot twists out of the way it's time to battle loose mean i decide my best choice is to lead with rose rose dishes out some pretty good damage onto clefable so lusamine ends up switching into milotic now i've invested full speed evs on rose so i expect them to up speed but i don't end up doing that myelitic connects with a hydro pump holy sh that was close i did not expect it to deal that much damage i later looked it up and apparently that milotic also has perfect speed evs thankfully one batch of bullet seeds is enough to kill milotic and rose lives to see another day low penny is next so i decide to switch into lily after some back and forth lily takes down low pony with leech life next out is beware so i send out hibiscus in order to poison her with toxic beware hits hard so i end up switching into tulip so that lusamine wouldn't be able to heal as much with drain punch turns out using toxic was somewhat redundant since thunderbolt finishes off the wear looseman sends out clefable again but another thunderbolt does the trick last up is liligan but since tulip is locked into thunderbolt thanks to choice specs i switch into lily and then back into tulip again finally tulip finishes off the again with a final bug buzz having dealt with all of those cutscenes i head back to mount hokulani in hopes of maybe getting a shiny beldum which would be super helpful against ultranecrosma after about 5 hours i end up running into a shiny lg i name him daffodil he has an adamant nature seriously what is up with these horrible natures i make sure to immediately evolve him into obedience after taking a longer break from the game i felt refreshed and ready to hunt for another encounter on exeggutor island eight hours later and i end up fighting an alolan exeggutor okay dang that was exhausting but it was worth it for this tall boy i named her daisy daisy has a careful nature i mean come on one good nature would be nice i head to vast pony canyon next and realize there are some pretty cool encounters available here if i'm really lucky i could even find a jiangmao so i forced myself to once again hunt for another encounter i finally run into shiny like and rock that i catch and name jasmine gotta say they featured some really nice chinese parts in this generation continuing the tradition of bad natures jasmine has a relaxed nature it is then finally time to buy some drip i of course buy the most expensive and exquisite coma o clothing what do you mean i don't have enough money i need to complete the look give me my god drape karen looking fresh i head down into vast pony canyon once again to take on the totem pokemon como i lead with daffodil who will serve as our toxic staller i apologize for resorting to that but i do hope you'll understand so after a long process of protecting and recovering kamao finally goes down to poison damage daffodil then poisons noiburn additionally psychic brings down noyburn to low health and so finally neuron also goes down next we take on necrozma but before we get into that here's a quick poem roses are red darkrai tv smells like old tuna anyway it's time to take on necrozma though it's not very threatening yet it practically can't do anything to lily necrozma refuses to give up though and keeps using morning sun but eventually it goes down to a few more fire fangs after taking a joyride on my new whip lunala i arrive at ultramegalopolis which sounds like what a six-year-old would name their minecraft house it's finally time to take on ultra necrozma in all its glory this is going to be insanely tough not only does ultra necrozma have a base stat total of 754 but it also gets an omni boost at the start of the battle it'll be able to out speed and one or two hit pretty much all of my team members this leaves me with only one choice two toxic stall i'm once again very sorry but this battle could very easily be a run ender so i'm not taking any risks so i lead with daffodil who connects with toxic daffodil protects and on the next turn i have to try to double protect which actually succeeds in hindsight i should have switched into hibiscus here and then alternated between team members to stall out necrozma but for some reason i try to get up a third protect which of course fails and ends up in daffodils demise i know i could have saved you if i hadn't gotten greedy i send out lily next necrozma brings him to low health but lilly lives and gopher darkest lariat which brings necrozma down to red health after the poison damage necrozma finally goes down that could have gone a lot smoother after taking on all of the captains again i returned to sea folk village where i've got to face the final totem pokemon rebombi jasmine poisons for bomby and uses protect i then send out hibiscus who takes a critical hit bug buzz i would just like to mention how important it is to take breaks in these kinds of playthroughs because you will end up making grave mistakes out of exhaustion if you don't in this case i went for a double protectant hibiscus which luckily worked but had it not i'm pretty sure a dazzling gleam would have killed eventually though rabombi dies of poison damage and hibiscus also takes down peliper with a few more rock slides and that's all of the trials done now for the final kahuna fight against tapu i lead with hibiscus who takes out hapu's golok after two super effectives calls hapu sends out modstale so i predict a zed move and switch into tulip since mod still has a super weak special defense bugbus takes modstale to red health hapu heals but to no avail tulip is just too strong and so mudsdale goes down gastrodon comes out next so i switch into daisy and a single quad effective leaf storm takes out gastrodon hapu sends out flag on last so i switch into hibiscus who connects with toxic i switch into rose to finish off flygon but hapu uses a full heal bullet seed brings down flygon to about half health and on the following turn rose finishes off flygon with a beak blast and that wraps up the island challenge i head over to mount lanakila where i'm challenged by gladion he sure is holding his arm tied it's not november yet claudion you can relax i send out jasmine first who takes out gladion's crowbat with a stone edge lucario comes out next so i switch into tulip to counter lucario's rsphere thanks to tulip's massive special attack stat a single thunderbolt takes out lucario cell valley is out next but i know it's zoroark since it's only level 53 and not level 55 so i switch into lily to tank a zed move and counter with a leech life that almost takes out zoroarc lily uses u-turn next finishing off zoroark and allowing me to get a free switch into hibiscus when silvally comes out hibiscus poisons still of ally and wears it down with brick break to be safe i also switch into jasmine as sylve feints from poison damage winning me the battle it's finally time for the pokemon league and i gotta say this has to be one of the best looking leagues out there i decide to take on kahili first for no particular reason i lead with jasmine who takes out kahili's bravery with a stone edge halucha comes out so i switch into rose rose tanks a flying press and counters with a beak blast which takes out halucha next out is mandy buzz so i send in tulip who is able to survive two brave birds finally taken out mende buzz with thunderbolt last out is two cannon so i switch into jasmine to tank a supersonic sky strike and counter with a lethal stone edge which wins me the first elite four battle next is acerola and her ghost types i lead the jasmine to take out burnett with a couple crunches del mais comes out next so i switch into daisy who is quad resistant to del mars this energy ball daisy manages to poison it so as a roller decides to withdraw dal mize and send out frost last instead i answer by switching into lily and taking up frost laps with the flare blitz acerola sends out palasan next so i switch into rose predicting an earth power eventually rose takes out palace and after two turns of bullet seed azarola sends del mais back out and uses a full heal but it's no help as a single beak blast results in delmaez's demise last up is driftblim but she literally has no moves to hurt rose with so eventually driftblim goes down as well i take on olivia next who leads with unearth remember how jasmine had a speed reducing nature well that results in anorith outspeeding jasmine it's no big deal though since jasmine is able to take out anderwith with a stone edge but still unlucky olivia sends out credibility next so i consider switching but my gut tells me olivia will try to lower jasmine's speed with rock tomb so jasmine stays in turns out my gut was right but after dealing a bit of damage onto gridily it's time to switch into tulip one bug buzz is enough to take out olivia's credilly gigolith comes out next and whips up a sandstorm tulip switches out through bolt switch into hibiscus hibiscus lands a skull that ends up burning gigalith but olivia uses full restore thankfully two more skulls are enough to take out gigalith anyways olivia sends a pro pass so i switch into daisy we trade a few attacks but eventually daisy finishes out probably pass with a couple of bulldozes olivia sends out her like on rock last so i switch into hibiscus to tank a continental crush i have a charity berry equipped on tulip which halves the damage of rock type moves so i switch into tulip but lykan rock ends up going with rock climb which misses tulip uses volt switch to switch into jasmine as olivia heals i send back to a lip predicting a counter and then both switch back into jasmine who is able to finish off olivia's lychen rock with a brick break the final elite four member remaining is melane i lead with lily who takes up mullane's klefki with a critical hit player blitz mullane sends out metagross next by leading with lily i'm able to bait out metagross's hammer arm as i pivot back into tulip which lowers metagross's speed this allows me to switch back and forth between tulip and lily as metagross will always go for a not very effective move since he moves after me eventually metagross goes down and mullein sends out dugtrio i send out rose to avoid earthquake and use beak blast to burn dunk trio doug trio goes for corkscrew crash but because of the burn it doesn't kill after a little bit of stalling rose gets double flinched and i'm forced to switch into two lips who takes out dog trio with a crunch i didn't exactly play my a game there next out is bisharp so i switch into hibiscus who takes him out with a couple brick breaks lastly mullane sends out magneton so i send out jasmine but regret my decision and switch back into daisy eventually i snap out of my brain fart and send out lily who is able to finish the battle with a flare blitz finally there is only one trainer left to face and that's professor kukui psych it's it's just how i lead with tulip who is able to take out house raichu with a single bug buzz crew abominable comes out next so i switch out hibiscus to deal damage until hau decides enough is enough and switches into decidueye i switch into lily as howe uses bloom doom which does way more damage than i anticipated because of this and because flare blitz deals recoil damage this is it for lily lily sacrifices himself in order to bring down house decidueye i know you're not supposed to have favorites but lily was my favorite i actually became quite attached to lily so losing him was quite painful house ends up vaporeon next so i switch into hibiscus since vaporeon can't do much to her after poisoning vaporeon i switch into daisy who brings vaporeon to low health with a leaf storm after which vaporeon goes down to poison damage house ends up creminable so i switch into hibiscus who finishes off kabominable with a brick break toros is up next and because he has access to zen headbutts i switch into rose but turns out tauros went with double edge instead which ends up being a crits and so we lose another og team member resty zeroes you did so much for the team i end up sending out daisy who is able to take out tauros with a leaf storm finally howe sends out neubern so i switch into jasmine jasmine barely survives the dragon pulse and goes for a stone edge which kills i finally did it i've never spent this much time on a single playthrough ever for reference i watched over three seasons of how i met your mother during this run it's what kept me sane really i'm very satisfied and proud of how the run went though and really grew to love all of my team members and losing one was painful if you are crazy enough to want to try out one of these runs i cannot stress how important it is to take lots of breaks it's crucial for both your physical and mental health i put a lot of work into this
