PALWORLD - Base Building Tips You NEED! Improve Your MAIN BASE!

so today I'll be giving you some tips on how to build your base and this is going to be based on the things that I learned as I was upgrading my older base into an even better one so before you even start laying out the foundations for your base there are two things that I recommend looking for when it comes to choosing the perfect area for your base for one you need to find an area with a flat surface and the least obstruction from terrain as possible you would want to be able to make use of all the space inside the circle and you're also going to have more freedom when it comes to where you want to place certain objects in your base if the area that you're working with is a flat surface the other thing that you need to look for is an area with only a single pathway for the enemies if your base only has a single pathway you are going to have an easier time dealing with them because you pretty much only have to fortify a single area in your base having your enemies funnel through a single area is going to be really useful especially once you start to encounter tougher and tougher enemies but of course you can build your base wherever you want even if that place doesn't have the two things that I mentioned if you want to build your base in a certain area because you like to view or because of whatever reason that is going going to be fine but you're going to have an easier time in the long run if you can find a spot with the features that I mentioned as for my recommendation there's a really good spot beside the Deep bamboo Thicket Waypoint which has a very flat surface and it only has a single pathway for the enemies to go through it's one of the best areas to build your main base on so I highly recommend considering this so after you decide on which area you want to build your base in the one thing that I see a lot of people do that is going to hurt their base later on is building their main structures using wood this is going to really really bad because you will eventually get raided by fire type enemies there's going to be a bunch of incin rams and NPCs with flame weapons and they're all going to burn down your base if you keep building using wood I'm not saying that you can't use wood for building structures but I'm more so saying that you should not be using wood for your main structure next up always make sure that anything you want to be part of your base is actually being built within the circle because anything outside is actually going to Decay for a while but with that being said I also noticed that if a structure is actually slightly within the circle so let's say that you have a wall that is only halfway outside of the circle then that Foundation is actually not going to disappear so that's another thing to keep in mind if you keep seeing random pieces of wood and stone in your storage there's no one else to blame but your pals and so if you want to keep your items sorted and free of stone and the other random stuff that your pals get their hands on a very easy fix is to put your storage in a separate room this might seem very simple but there's a few things that you need to keep in mind to actually stop them from altering your storage for one you need to make sure that you leave a small gap between the wall and your storage box if you place the box too close your piles can actually transfer items through the wall so make sure that you leave a gap to stop them from doing that and as a bonus step you can basically use triangular walls to make an entrance for your storage your pals won't be able to enter this room but you can and you also don't have to worry about closing the door behind you because it's basically open but just for you all right so next stop I recommend placing the important and expensive thing things at the very back of your main structure and I say this because when you get raided by stronger enemies especially ones with the rocket launchers they are most likely going to break some of the foundations and other items in your base and so whenever that happens you don't want them to break your storage box electric furnace large pal beds assembly lines and other expensive things this is something that I also need to do because my storage is at the fair front of my base just behind my defensive walls so that is a big yikes next up make sure that you take advantage of the vertical ity in this game as we all know the pal box only has a limited radius but the Vertical Limit is actually insane but one thing to keep in mind when you're taking advantage of this is that your pals don't have the best pathing so generally speaking you would want your crafting stations production lines and other pal related things on the very first or second floor because anything higher is actually too far away for your pals so their pathing is not going to be able to send them there for my case all of my resource Gathering stuff is on the first floor so that includes my farming related stuff the stone pit logging site and I also have my hot spring and pal beds nearby and then on the second floor I have all of my crafting stations my high-r processing stations and also my bedroom on the next floor is where I keep my pile condensation menu and my breeding farms these are technically pal related things but I can easily pick up the pals that I want to breed and bring them here and then lastly if your base is more open and you have a bunch of rocks and trees that you don't need you can actually build on top of them so that they don't keep spawning you can simply use something small like a sign and that should work fine doing this will also stop your pals from glitching out whenever they pick up the stone or wood after someone breaks it I specifically find this annoying because they will basically just endlessly pick up and drop the item and not go back to work so yeah that is pretty much everything I have for this video if you have any other
