do we want to Auto crit no so that's how much damage a crit attack does not sure let's just kill another one guarantee the crit he's dead again hello guys and welcome today we're going to be going through three of my favorite possible Paladin builds now if you want access to the spreadsheet guys all you have to do is come to our Discord Channel which is linked in the description below and just come right here to the link spreadsheets tab where I link the sage book the book two and Patch five so let's get straight to the build so what is this build about so the whole point of this build is to be holding dual Deva mes which as you can see right here do crazy amounts of damage plus 48 radiant and doing a bunch of attacks while guaranteeing criticals and doing a lot of damage and let's get straight through the three available options so so before that if you enjoy the content please drop a like drop a subscribe thank you and let's get straight to it for races I would recommend either go for Hal Fork which is my favorite one um or that you take aarion or carlac aarion gets that extra bonus to 1 10 extra damage if you finish his storyline and necrotic damage on every melee attack and Carla gets the bonus 1 D4 but you have to below HP since you're not going to have Barbarian levels so these are my two go-to options for early game just do Paladin levels and now let's talk about the full builds so the builds in my opinion uh there's three alternative options you can go for the aura so you can play for the AA so this would be a more of a defensive build that will help all of your party with their same throws it will still do a lot of damage and you will have a good amount of known spells but they will be mostly Paladin spells oh something that I missed the build also has infinite sorcery points points um just by getting a two Lev deep in sorcerer you don't have to do that but if you don't go for the infinite sorcery points then the final build becomes a little bit less good because it loses the Smite the high Smite abilities but we'll cover everything we'll cover how you can actually get third and fourth level smites on this build what you should know is that Smite doesn't benefit for spell slots above third level so if you make fourth level smites you just spending more sorcery points but if you're planning on using an upcast of for some spells with which which we will see some spells then it can be useful so if you cast a fourth level hold person it's much better than doing it as a third level because you can have an additional Target and you can do that uh very easily okay so build number one it takes two levels of sorcerer seven levels of Paladin now why Seven Levels because you also get the subass OR at level seven and here I would go for Paladin of the Ancients and this would give you the order that protects you so the two Alternatives guys is e for this build is either go for Paladin of the Ancients which will give you the aura of warding which effectively gives everyone near you half damage from spells not resistance so if they even have resistance to Fire and they are hit by a fire spell they would take a fourth of the damage which is massive alternatively you can go for a of hate where you and near and any nearby fiends and Undead can additional damage to me weapon attacks equal to your charisma modifier and since we're going to have a high Charisma with this thing it will give you plus five damage to every attack so a of warding is better for defense or of hate is better for attack but if you go for vengeance Paladin you're going to be getting Advantage with this V Amity bonus action and therefore that's a trade-off I probably wouldn't go for of of devotion but again it's up to you it's not going to make a huge difference but it will make a difference okay so two levels of sorcerer to get infinite sorcery points I would pick shield for sure here at level one and probably something like magic missiles to guarantee some damage in case that you're going to need it then we have six levels of Paladin here at level four I would get the dual Wilder feet or Savage attacker it's between the two um if you don't get dual welder you're not going to be able to dual with Deva mes so you're going to have to go into short sours which is kind of sucky so we need the Dual wer feet and if you go with this build you only get one feet which is kind of a problem but after you get your subclass order then you get three levels of rad to get that extra bonus action so that's one extra attack um every round however what you can do is you can drop this Paladin level to get an extra R level and then get the Savage attack at so yeah when you make a melee weapon attack you roll your damage twice and use the highest result and that works on smites and on the devam m so what does that mean it means that your average damage die will be for each die that you're rolling will be about plus one so it's about plus n damage for each attack so it's a lot of damage that you're missing out but again the AA can give you more endurance so also the AA will will buff your allies like if you are playing a necromancy if you have a necromancer in your party or if you no dance maab it will also boost the damage of skeletons Etc but again the Y reads weapon damage just remember that so if they are doing hand attacks claw attacks they don't that doesn't give them extra damage so the alternative build which is the one I would recommend is this one and why do I like this one more because here you only have five levels of paladins so yes you're missing out on the auras but you have infinite sorcery points from your sorcery levels you have the extra attack you have the Savage attacker feed I do recommend getting it first because by the time you get your second feat you can actually um get you you don't have the devam M unless you find some really cool weapons that you want to do with beforehand so at level eight I would recommend you get sorcerer uh in this build so that you get Quicken spells so you don't really have to rely on the band of the mystery scoundrel that you see right here uh to to cast whole person and you do learn whole person at this point um which is a very strong ability when it comes to guaranteeing your criticals now then three levels of Rogue and then one more level of sorcerer you can take this level of sorcerer earlier to get the feed of theal wielder as soon as you get the Deva mes basically you need to get the feed you can alternatively get another level of Rogue here it's not going to make a difference you're still getting the the extra bonus action the sorcerer will allow you to know one more spell though so it's up to you again there's a small trade off there because the RS have one more HP unless you go for draconic sorcerer which is not going to make a huge difference again for sorcer for sorcerer subass it doesn't really make a big difference what you choose what I would go for would be the draconic white because that will give you the spell of um armor of agatis which you can upcast with a level four spell and get 20 temporary hit points which will deal 20 damage to anyone that attacks you with a melee attack so that's a very good buffer and it's going to help uh reduce the let's say this is not a very tanky character build um yes it's not weak but it's definitely not the tankiest one and it's not going to be able to handle as much as a barbarian or a full barbarian or a full or even a full Paladin in the scenario so having that those extra 20 temporary hit points does make up for it final an alternative build this is a more burst Focus build instead of going for Paladin five levels in Paladin you go as five levels of fighter this will give you action search at level two uh you still get Divine smites and you still get infinite sorcery points however we're going to go through a trick where you can drink a potion of let me show you so right now as you can see this character is level two and he knows but he knows second level spell slots how all you have to do is drink an elixir of supreme Arcane Superior or Supreme whatever you want um so if you go for the final build guys in which your spell slots are not going to be high level you can just drink one of these potions as you see I'm level two so I shouldn't have access to level four spell slots but now because I have infinite sorcery points which we I am linking guys I'm going to put a card on for this at the end of the video if you want see how to make infinite sorcery points It's relatively easy now I can just make more level four spell slots oops I just used it just used it up so as you can see yes so I can make a bunch of level four spell slots and then I can use two levels of Paladin to use them to Smite with just two levels of Paladin so you're not missing out on high smites the highest possible Smite damage is 48 in the game so so each attack that you're making will be doing 1 d8 well 1d6 plus your strength modifier which uh plus 888 so and you're going to be doing quite a lot of attacks so the the bonus of this build first of all is that you also get heavy armor proficiency you can also get heavy armor proficiency with the other builds however you're not going to have um Proficiency in Constitution saving throws because paladins don't start with a constitution in Saving throw proficiency so I would rather not have access to Heavy Armor than have access to Heavy Armor and not be able to concentrate on my spells like hold person and easily get lose my concentration so from me for me I would I would either start with sorcerer or fighter now if you really feel like you need a heavy armor then you can respect your character and start with a paladin that's really up to you uh my recommendation is to always have Constitution proficiency if you plan on using control spells like hold person crown of Madness Etc in the early game I would recommend you drink uh Cloud giant strength potions and maxing out your charisma right so you're going to have 20 Charisma by the end of this and you can have a relatively good Constitution and dexterity you don't need the dexterity but if you're not using heavy armor you need it so if you do go down the fighter route you can drop your dexterity to a low number but if you don't then you need 14 dexterity because medium armor can benefit from up to plus two Armor class from your dexterity also it helps with your initiative it's good to have good dexterity so in the early game I do recommend drinking Cloud J strength potions you can get a lot of them by leveling up an ANL do you the trick is you talk to a vendor you you respect to level one you talk to a vendor you buy something then you level up you buy something again then you level up again and you do that from Level let's say you're level five you can do that four times with a character until you get back to level five and the vendors restock every time that you level up let's look at items now for weapons obviously you're going for devaes two of them and that's that's how you do it that's what you do in order to get two Deva mes you have to be in act three to the basist gate once you reach balder's gate you come in the temple where the statues are and you go downstairs then you steal from the offering chest oh the really good am actually and you see once you steal from them you get this uh effect castrated by Divinity what does that do effectively that means that when you die for un conscious or when you end the day you're going to get attacked by Deva I am attacked by Devas so you can see there's four Devas here so once you kill these Devas now they're pretty strong so make sure that your character is not level three or level two but once you kill these dasas for the build nice closing by the way again what I do with Shadow hard in my free time guys is none of your business so all we have to do now we need to Long rest again it doesn't have to be a full long rest it can also be a partial long rest and then the bodies let's talk about the LIF abilities I do recommend you unlock everything not because it's amazing but because of how how the wick Works effectively whenever you reduce an enemy reduce an enemy you Evol toed Powers now it doesn't have any modif also very strong the de become pouches and if you loot those pouches like the 48 extra damage what did we say start of day you drink elixir of cloud giant strength you give yourself death for you give yourself AIDS and long Strider and maybe even freedom freedom of mov okay so let's go through one of your attack for spell slot okay always disable the the dual wielding toggle here because the reason is you're going to be doing so much damage with each attack that if you have this all you're basically wasting a lot of damage try to get her out of the way always to off the dual wielding level four smite she's dead that wasn't even a crit so that was uh 12 plus 28+ 30 um so that's 60 damage per attack if it's not a crit if it is a crit it goes up to 120 damage per attack now let's hope that these guys can't kill us oh wait we became invisible because we killed her nice now let's fly over there to kill that her so again this is the mantle carrying carrying us through this encounter now we have advantage on this so this is gonna we're gonna have a very high chance to create so let's do Smite level four yeah she didn't like it very much as you can hear uh and now that we killed their custers we can just get in a good position to hold person everyone so hold personing everyone will guarantee critical strikes guys and that's that's huge it's not a small thing at all so let's do a hold person with one of our bonus actions let's say but you don't even have to use a bonus action you can even use your one of your your haste action so let's do it as a level four spell so one two three where is the P three enemies held well two of them saved our DC is let me test this in 15 but we have such a high Charisma [ __ ] 20 yeah so I guess they got kind of lacky that's okay now let's do attack on that guy so that's how much damage a cred attack does uh did we save before that so that's 15 + 38 + 5 + 57 sure let's just kill guarantee the crit he's dead again 57 Plus 43 plus 13 and if you were playing half Fork it would do an additional weapon die remember that now martiall exertion for another attack again he's dead see if you touch someone they die and we have two bonus action attacks we can use on that guy not guaranteed critical unfortunately because we can't hold him okay good crit all in all I would say this is pretty good damage especially after the nerves and if you use blood L potion you could do one more attack so it's three plus one seven attacks per turn or six attacks and you can also do a cast of hold person or yeah whatever other sorcerer spell you want that's up to level two or a paladin level two slot um and yeah this is how it it looks it's a very strong build it has a very high Armor class it's hard to hit it's I would say probably the best current Paladin build especially after old nerves you could use go the DRS route but this is effectively low damage and remember if the enemy because you have C the weak let me show you um whenever you get an enemy to below 31 HP they die instantly so that 120 damage per crit it would kill a 150 HP enemy uh same goes with your attacks instead of they do 60 on aage 60 damage but if you got an enemy below 30 HP that would also die so you can kill a 90 HP enemy with one attack and that also spreads because that four damage that it does the extra four damage it would kill anyone below 30 HP as well so all in all very useful very effective build as you can see does a lot of damage and yeah I really like it it has Advantage it can it can Crow control the battlefield and all in all one of my favorite Paladin builds after the Nerfs I know it doesn't feel as strong as it was when we were doing it in the past but this is the best possible Paladin build at the moment and it does quite a bit of damage so that's 7 to eight attacks from 100 damage each 120 damage each so that's an average 960 or 800 damage if you can guarantee the critical by holding the enemies so all in all very good damage um and yeah if you enjoy the content guys please drop a like drop a subscribe follow for more and yeah I'll see you in the next one oh and also let me know what you want to see in the future in the comments goodbye
