tonight on night watch rescue 11  responding oh the blood is coming out like   an afternoon thunderstorm in tampa hey stay  awake okay somebody feel for a pulse real quick in the city of tampa there are as many as 850  emergency calls every night these are the stories   of the heroes who list their lives to answer those  calls police officers paramedics and firefighters this is nightwatch people say you need good luck in  my job i say you make your own luck   follow your training follow your instincts   and good things happen that's how you catch  the bad guys that's how you keep tampa safe let's go shine the neck load and go when you hear a patient shot  in the neck you gotta think the worst first   gonna hope for the best later   you're gonna be looking at a variety  of different potential injuries whether   it's the spinal cord or the airway either  way it's definitely gonna be trouble here come on through the neck listen so i hold pressure  put him on the stretcher and let's go   one two three when i first see the patient  first thing i'm thinking is i'm glad he's   alert continue to hold pressure right  there on the neck i'm glad he's breathing   but there's a lot of different things that  we still need to check all right do not take   your hand off that wound just yet lower him  down a little bit just keep on the pressure   yeah let's get some scissors and start cutting  some clothes bro how you doing man where do you   have paint out other than your neck and your  arm anywhere else that might be really bad   you have a migraine really bad yeah you see me  monitor yeah you can see okay the fact that the   patient has a migraine is concerning because  we don't know the exact path from the bullet   maybe it's impacted his brain in some way let me  see your hands squeeze where we got an intrinsic   hey brother hey stay awake okay let's  just take a look what you're gonna   gotta bleeding on that neck so i hold pressure  i got one in the neck i can't find anything out   of it almost looks like a nest go ahead let's  go time's important for this patient because   we don't know if we have an artery that may  not be severed but maybe nicked we don't   know if we have any internal bleeding he needs  surgery immediately any of this hurt down here   nothing in your chest just keep on  the pressure stay away for me man that's understandable it's actually a good thing that you  feel pain and nothing at all yeah   i think actually sorry this is our entrance look  how it's torn it's not a cut like a laceration   that angle would come down totally good grief see it signal lady bolo  we're gonna be looking for a 2010 maroon   toyota tundra two unknown black male suspects  dressed in all black and wearing masks pulled the   victim from the parked from his parked vehicle  at gunpoint took his clothing and the vehicle   damn they stripped the guy yeah you know what's  crazy willy what's that buddy we can come out here   and hunt for days and days and days not find one  stolen car but then like the other day we're at a   train stop and we run a tag and get stolen  and then you can go weeks and weeks and weeks   and not find one it's crazy it's almost  like finding a needle in the haystack   yeah outside of getting lucky and just getting  behind it in traffic for the guys that are looking   it's going to be a color is that a maroon tundra  that was a maroon tundra what year was the one   that looked like a maroon tundra let's  just give it a little looksie real quick   i don't know man i'm being a squirrel right now   norrisville oh yeah making a left right  there what is that is that a tundra or chevy 2010. that's it right here 393. we're westbound behind a carjacking  vehicle we get behind the truck we get   close enough to uh see the tag and we  confirm that it is our stolen truck and   then the adrenaline dumps here search copy update go ahead when you're ready he's going to go seat belts we have the pursuit approximately 50 miles an  hour accelerating toward nebraska westbound   that unit's holding traffic same one if we back off and break line of sight most of  the time they don't know the helicopters you   know way up in the sky watching them from  above so when they see in their rear view   and look over their shoulder and they see  that we're not there anymore they tend to   slow down and and and drive more normal to  wherever it is they're going to go back down he's in the first entrance of the apartment  complex north of the tall building there   all the way to the back and looks like  he's going to be bailing out shortly passengers out running there's two out okay  everybody's out running southbound running   southbound which way in there these suspects  are armed and dangerous so that just creates a   heightened sense of safety for all the officers on  the perimeter for the k-9 units that are going to   be tracking one of them just fell down back up and  running anybody who's knocking on stay in your car   if you're not k9 i don't want you on foot  running around two canines deployed right now   hey jimmy down to the end of those  buildings for the far side of the building all right i got somebody on the roof  my units i got somebody up on the road   how far away from us are they i  don't know what building that is   can you see him on any of these roofs i  can't see him no i'm thinking this person   isn't gonna go out without a fight hold up man  he might be that's basically running into a dead   end whenever you jump on the roof you're gonna say  come and get me i'm not going out without a fight if you're not canine i don't want you on foot  running around i got two knives deployed right now   air service is tracking a stolen  vehicle into an apartment complex   towards the pool two subjects exit the vehicle and  start running on foot all right i got somebody on   the roof my units i got somebody up on the roof oh  look look he's on the roof on the building today   you only had one bale correct one with a  white shirt i think that one had a dark shirt   one of our corporals on the perimeter ends up  catching one of the suspects you know within a   matter of minutes and the second is hiding on  a roof and believed to be armed 306 air service   go ahead sir from what you're looking at up there  is there any way to put an officer up on that roof   without being seen by the suspect i don't want  to put an officer right there in front of him   yeah he came from the other side of the  ridge line so wherever he got up on the roof   break you can get on there without him seeing you  coming i'm getting broken home on that third level   we just walked by with the shields hey guys  get behind something what do we got back here damn it i want to be up there so bad okay you  still watching are they up down the road yeah   they're stacked up going towards them all  right he just reached back with his left   hand see that movement i don't know what he's  doing he's reaching back with his left hand guys and i could hear from the ground i could hear  the officers on the roof yelling you know show me   your hands show me your hands and i thought there  was going to be a shootout four stories high no he's complying he looks like he's putting his  hands out we're 10 17. yes carjacking suspect   intensity winning how did he get up there man  what's up court good job guys oh this is how   easy we're copying this game was 10 15. it  was hiding on the way 17 year old female 170 i was shocked it was a 17 year old girl i couldn't  believe it i remember people saying that it's the   first time they've ever seen that type of thing  happen you know in 10 or 15 years that they've   been on the job good spot man yeah dougie it's  it's pretty ridiculous that somebody runs onto   a roof thinking they can hide from a helicopter  that's circling right over their head hey how much   cash did she have on her was your cash taken from  the 23 yeah he had 300 cash all 20's taken both   are arrested in this case the female passenger  she's arrested for trespassing in a conveyance   and resists without violence and misdemeanor  possession of marijuana what's the statute for   985.101. the male was the driver he's arrested for  auto burglary grand theft auto fleeing to elude   nvdl no valid driver's license and uh resisting  without violence and they're both 17 so that's   a it's a big deal for such young kids oh buddy  it's fun but the fun is short-lived it's very   short-lived be safe be strong let's do this get  that stretcher in here you're gonna bleed to death they're not dead i can work with that
