today we're at exec arrow at tbm service center at orlando executive airport we're getting a pesky oil leak fixed and if all goes as planned we're going to enjoy a nice night flight back to miami hey nice flight tonight we're gonna take it off right the golden hour and heading down to miami so we'll start the tbm here clear outside feel boost pump on now we're gonna click to start on watching the style lights blinking initial light is also eliminated those are two very important things to look at when you're starting it up watching the ng it's going to rise and stabilize right at 14 and reduce fuel to low idle there we have our light off watching the itt for hot start ng for home start looks like the itt is going to temp out right at 7 63 degrees celsius now we're continuing to watch the ng to rise up the itt is rolling back as more air goes through the engine there we go very good start all right the first thing we'll do is go over and get the airport atus here at orlando executive orlando executive airport information tango two one five three zulu wind two niner zero at four visibility one zero clear below on two thousand temperature two one dew point eight altimeter three zero far the startup we have not had any oil spinning onto the windshield here so we're looking good i think we got this problem hopefully figured out we're gonna cycle the prop two times here romeo today was pretty crazy i went for a test flight after they did this i was coming in there was a 10-foot alligator off my left here in this uh little lake area and we also had a coyote running at me at the same time warned me about it and i asked him i said what is this jurassic park we're gonna hit the go around bud that brings up our flight director arm 1500 feet and we're also going to heading modes and our flight director will be at the appropriate area for our takeoff and this is really one through you're cleared across you know we're clear we'll still check clear to the left and clear to the gear up roger look at that okay catching the sun if you look at the front there that's really cool it was below the horizon now that we're climbing it's coming back up romeo flash straight out percent we got to be careful as we have no more torque for governor and we could over torque the engine and that would be very expensive hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars if we were to go vertical speed mode 3000 feet a minute having the power to hold that kind of vertical speed as i've showed another video so what we're doing is you see the air speed bleeding off the only issue with doing this is if you get distracted and you were not able to catch it you wouldn't stall out so this is only for people that are really on top of their game so see we're about to hit 140 on that speed now we go is buttons pushing and it's going to capture right where that button was pushed and it'll hold that speed and do fluctuate with whatever climb rate to keep that airspeed a lot safer mode to climb in light level change mode some airplanes happen and now that we're getting up a little bit higher in the sky we'll turn our inertial separator off a little switch down by my left knee i'm going to flip it light's going to come off now we're going to get a torque rise i actually filmed a little video earlier when the uh airplane was in the hangar you'll see right here i'll show you if you look in there you'll see that little flap back that's [Music] boy it feels good to be up in the sky i'm all by myself tonight 3967 kind of jacksonville center one two six point three five today take a look off the left wing there you're gonna see there's cape canaveral where they launched the rockets and they used to do the shuttles i actually see i think the rocket that's on the pad the launch pad that they're going to launch tonight and it will probably most likely go up because the conditions tonight are 100 favorable for a lot rocket launch and we're leveling out at one four thousand i'll push with the rudder trim to the left here to give us a coordinated flag boy wouldn't that be amazing if we could see a rocket launch tonight i keep seeing bright light over there all right one six turn heading zero nine years there's three rings so right over in there is where i saw the really bright light i don't know where what the light was coming from it was coming from the launch pad i all by myself is you know as you know 2020 has been a mess we're up here just enjoying aviation it's such a special thing to be able to fly airplanes in my opinion one zero ten thousand five like therapy for the soul i don't know if that's how you guys feel at all that fly airplanes and if you're thinking about becoming a pilot definitely go to your local flight school and inquire about it and uh take a discovery flight maybe flying is something you'd like to take up so what i'm going to do now i'm going to put the atis in the back up in the com2 here we're our destination of opalaca i'm also going to put the ground frequency in over there and that just keeps us ahead of the flight it's less things that we have to worry about fading the closer we get to maintain the ones there i want to get closer we just push one button monitor the aetus and once we land we just flip the switch over the ground so we can talk and talk to ground the more steps that you can complete when you know that they're coming up it just makes flying a whole lot easier just to stay ahead of the flight if you don't do those kinds of things then you get to that part you can fall behind then we can put the armrest down get comfortable enjoy that nice sunset off to the west this is when it would be nice to take a girlfriend up for a flight or a boyfriend whatever your preference is romance them with a nice sunset flight hope you guys are feeling romanced actually on the ipad here i should have put libra in before daily i can easily insert that i had i forgot to put that in on the ipad 1836 uh just about the level two four zero there we go routing that i showed you a little bit ago was not the correct routing but it was program corrected to the airplane their autopilot is flying off the uh you know the running they have programmed into the garmin 530 here this is just as a backup for just a little bit of a reference and we'll see if we get direct daily that'd be a little bit of a shortcut for us doesn't always hurt to ask i don't have it at the moment for traffic i'll do my best to get it for you anyway we're gonna put a v nav in because i know that we're gonna have to cross daylily at one two thousand so we put one two thousand zero miles a day fifteen hundred feet a minute and now we'll start down in eight minutes and fifty three seconds that's just another way of staying ahead of the flight you know you're gonna get that crossing restriction get that set up keep that all planned and ready to go so you know when you're going to start down one tango bravo clear direct table direct daily thank you one time bravo nice so we got dragged enter enter to daily since we're nav mode just off the coast over the atlantic ocean november 843 jewelers here on the set of maintaining this past the fort pierce area three zero one five down to one seven thousand that is a beautiful view pbm one tango bravo across one two thousand across one two thousand so there we go since we were already entered all that we know we were gonna be expecting that we put one two thousand in our altitude pre-selector so we're not really gonna start down now because you know airplanes like to stay up higher and he would get better fuel burn up here we'll start down as soon as our vnab tells us like i told you we have our v-nav all set up we still can wait four minutes and 50 seconds before we get ready to descend down to one two thousand to cross that's what's called a crossing restriction when you're flying ifr you get 18 uh for the pilots that are watching that just vfr pilots right now and when we get to that vnab we'll get a message light that'll blink that says approaching your v-nav profile and then that's when we'll start vs it down 1500 feet a minute so we can actually pull the prop rpm back to 1900 revolutions per minute from 2000 so by pulling this blue lever back we're just basically changing the pitch of the prop and now it's going to rotate a little bit slower and what that does is just gives you a little bit quieter sound in the cabin here i don't know if you guys can hear that a little bit more relaxing there we go and now we're actually starting to get views of south florida all the lights in sight out there on the front three zero one five three you get over a really populated area like we're gonna go into the lights are just magical so i'll be happy to report when i get on the ground to the boss that the airplane has been fixed properly they did a great job there an exec arrow they're a tvm service center there and uh i'll definitely be going back expect nine left one ten brother and i know we're going to be getting our descent here pretty soon we're going to slow it up under 200 knots put our initial separator back on that's the limitation for that as the motors are operating they like the airplane to be below 200 knots there we go 200 knots we'll get just under it here we are flipping the switch now the two flaps are moving up in the intake area by unclear to ios 10. it'll be about 30 seconds later you'll get the light coming on the master caution there we go so there's our initial separator lightning and we'll actually dim that light vector oh the lights in the announcer panel are set up for night time so if they come on they don't completely blind you one tango turn right heading two seven five two seven five one tango all right two seven five seven with our heading bug go back into heading mode wow look at the lights it's like christmas time and it's pretty crazy then how the lights stop out there once you get to the bravo we're on a one seven zero heading one thousand six hundred three five one tango bravo block of tower make a straight approach runway nine left turn light nine left clear land straight in for nine left clear to land 851 tango brother all right we're gonna disconnect the autopilot there and we're almost line dragged up with the uh runway six five nine zero the left turn here yeah echoes at a ramp or maintenance frequency and there it is right out there it's sometimes hard to see if you're coming into a unfamiliar airport at night i'm used to this airport as it is at the home base of this airplane put our prop back forward back to 2000 rpm and we'll get ready to go to work and land this thing so you can see out there the runway is in sight we're lined up with it under our first notch of flap speed we go flaps selected and anytime you flip the switch you always make sure it does what you wanted to and we're going to make sure it's indicating and it's indicating and we will put the gear down so within the limitation of that selected and indicating three green that's always a good uh sign there you want to have those three green you always train for uh landing gear failures in the simulator every year that's my least favorite maneuver because you gotta sit here and pump the hand pump a million times gives you a good workout we have a 13 knot wind pushing right against the airplane right now so that's always a good thing you always want to land and take off airplanes into the wind this airport does have nice led lighting nice smooth air coming in here wow look at the lights out there you can see downtown miami over there feels like we're just floating above the city here actually can see all the christmas lights on and a lot of the houses that's pretty nice look at the approach lights you'll see the red and two light so we're right on the proper glide path 500. that's 500 feet to the ground and it's nice smooth air we haven't had a bump on this whole approach here beautiful set of led lights all out there finding this runway better make this a smooth lining this whole approach has been perfect now we're picking up a little bit of a couple pumps there okay so we're looking good i'm gonna start to ease the power back looking at the wind sock i can't see the wind is very light off to the right back to flight idle going to the flare hold it off there we go center line not too bad we'll just go back in the beta welcome to opal welcome miami florida guys hope you guys enjoyed that beautiful sunset flight into the night for one tango bravo turn right at charlie contact ground all right charlie over the ground if i want to bro or he knows we like charlie because that is the best taxi way to get us quickly into our ramp and this is charlie right up here the next taxiway we'll go back in the beta and slow it up a little bit more sometimes it's tricky to get off the runway at night if you look out the front you'll see that yellow line that's a nice guideline to get you right to the center of the taxiway so you just follow that in you'll have no issue we'll go past the whole shoreline here and clean up the plane and we'll contact ground it's right up here in front of us that's the whole shoreline good evening tbm eight five one tango bravo clear nine left and charlie need to go into signature november 85 one tango
