well that's a wrap sun and fun 2021 is a lot of fun today we have to fly the brand new tvm 940 back to pompano beach let's get this [Music] started [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] that's gonna make this trip worldwide [Music] gotta keep [Music] it's all right welcome aboard everybody today is an exciting day the end of summer fun 2021 wayman thanks for having us on board today we're gonna fly vfr down to pompano beach they just cleared the airport open after the air show so let's start up this engine all right boost pump is coming on all right ignition switch it's an on starter on all right so hold the starter on here for three seconds one one thousand two one thousand three one thousand we'll clear out the front release now there's been a timer started automatically energy stabling at fifteen will introduce fuel to volvo now we're gonna watch for our hot start and our hung start two most common failures you'll get in a starting process attempt at about 750 on the itt [Music] continuing to watch the ng for a hung start and we got a nice good wind up all right all right so we had a good start up there we'll get the flight plan in there down to pompano beach from lakeland we do have quite a bit of weather up to the northwest that should be no factor today all right before taxi checklist standby instrument set set and today's uh optimus should be two nine two nine or seven zero two nine seven zero inner separator on captain all right flight controls go check the flight controls got the wing out there free and correct check right trim set for takeoff okay we got our trims one two and three all set flaps for takeoff put flap selected to take off position and we'll make sure it indicates what it is indicating engine instruments set gas set uh let's put on the taxi open the pulse position and we're already taxiing the right captain okay we'll go behind this guy [Music] all right so since this is a since we have the son of fun event here we don't have to worry about taxiing and getting our clearance to taxi we're just going to fall behind here we're over on the runway where all the display airplanes are at for static displays this is where they toe you out to and over there the left is the sun fun event nice people here all volunteers we got the motorcyclist out there guiding us along if westbound contact tampa approach 119 or 0.9 for your ifr clearance due to the extreme volume of traffic there may be a delay in obtaining your clearance remain clear pretty cool let me get the motorcycle right off our way oh yeah lakeland sun and front departure information delta aircraft taxiway two runway two seven left have your run-up complete prior to reaching the runway aircraft needing assistance contact center for advisory on 126.075 watch for instructions from the air traffic controllers wearing orange shirts then monitor the tower frequency one two seven point eight five posted along the taxiway do not read back clearances are less requested by the controller six thousand five hundred feet available for aircraft departing from intersections yeah pretty interesting as they have there since we're at the event usually we'll get a lot of mass departures out of here once the air shows over parted lakeland i need you to turn 10 degrees to the right 10 degrees to the right we have the fast check coming up wind two three zero goes on six perfect so when we depart here wayman we're going to climb to a vfr altitude uh eastbound vfr altitude good look back in the beta here cleared to go runway 27. thanks a lot great job yeah we want to ride the brakes before line up landing light snap strobe auto push puppy solo fuel selector we got the ice all right so this is unique it's uh they're basically telling us about the front here to go slow and they'll just tell us to exit right in line with everybody else so there's our marshaller out there he's just taunting the position right here devo i got a coin for you from atc when we get back to pompano thank you so much people runway two seven left on the void i have white two doesn't list number zero in november runway two seven left okay take off all right so we're gonna put the auto throttle on here [Music] there we go now we're gonna ease the power up number seven four tango runway two pass seventy percent there we and there's a rotation speed pull back on the yokes thanks for coming stevo have a good fight thanks for everything guys have a good week put the odd damper on and oil pressure temperatures all look good the green traffic 12 o'clock same altitude less than one mile we're going to start our left turn over here to the southeast traffic four o'clock less than one mile just to the right behind us no factor yep and i guess we'll start turn our turn on course let's go back line up and wait and uh yeah oh there's a hole right there we can climb so we'll put the auto pilot on we will be climbing in a head mode square up the heading bug and we'll go autopilot on and flight level change and we're not going to climb out pitch for 124 knots for takeoff this thing is a little rocket ship you look out at that left wing you can see the angle of our climb and now we're clear down to the southeast we'll go direct enter enter yep let's go to director lebel back to lebel and we'll go into nav mode now the airplane's going to turn on course and right to lebel you can also go down to the ipad here and we'll go to the flight plan tab level direct 2 there's our line scroll down there's look at all the airplanes around over here there was the tfr for lakeland going down go and follow the look at the front we got some good vfr conditions you can see out the front there i am using the pivot mounting case the leg strap system today it's a great setup here to pull it off and on really quick and easy locked in loaded is like what i like to say use steve juan can evo's a discount code save 15 if you want to buy any of these products are you clear for takeoff and we're going through ten thousand feet and the pressurization is automatic on this but even though it's automatically two phases always want to monitor it for three months they currently have a cabin altitude of 2 800 feet and it's climbing 720 feet and we got a different brush of 3.6 excellent okay we're clear of cloud steam we can turn off the inertia separator so there's this little button down here by my left knee right now the inertial separator is on i'm going to push this button and now it's going to stay off and now about what how long does it take about 30 seconds there's two what do you call would be like two valves or louvers two louvers up in the front of the intake that are opening and giving more air into the engine of the turbine so you're gonna get a torque rise you're also gonna get your itt to lower since you're gonna get more air into that engine all right climb checklist after the pre-selector set altimeter beautiful separation throttle torque more or less this time procession fuel volts we got it let's go to miami center roger [Music] cruise altitude 14. 17 500 feet four zero eight by heading three four five coming down and we're gonna go three four five delta twenty pretty good amount of speed take a look off the left window one two five south florida so right now wayman is gonna call miami and get a vfr flight it's taking a little bit of time here because the frequency is extremely busy today and it comes up 20.5 more things you can get set up ahead of time makes uh flying a whole lot easier miami center uh one seventeen five over watchula like flight following to pompano please monitor the frequency i'll get back to you shortly all right so it is busy as we stated we checked on and she just wants us to monitor the frequency but we have our neighbor in the hat so way in the sun fun event it was a lot of fun this year oh it was great so many people great to see so many friends and so many aviation enthusiasts it's actually my favorite part is actually seeing all our different friends that are in the aviation community it was really great my sponsor bose was generous enough to give me an a20 to give away so we will be announcing the winner tomorrow but you guys will be seeing this in the future so i'd like to give a big shout out to bose uh thank you so much for giving a h-20 headset to build a good way to somebody nice and smooth though today wayman i mean uh last week when we went into uh lakeland that was a bumpy one and this airplane so that was a week ago it feels good to uh get a little bit of smooth air we got a message cruise one conditions met that's a good that means the torque is moving less than one percent so the aircraft is in stable condition because finn is accelerating we have indicated 212 knots at 17 500 which equals about 291 knots minus sub plus 12 right now that's pretty good this is the g 3000 avionics package it's got the awesome home safe you push this button and you hold it and it basically will find the most suitable airport land if your pilot was to have an issue and you were just a passenger on board this technology is a game changer hey steve can you check the weather down at pompano and then yeah if i look down here at the ipad or go to the airport tab we're on the weather tab right now here's the current one weather we got the winds one six zero at fourteen gusts of 22. 10 stats mile visibility few at 5 500 and it's 82 degrees fahrenheit so runway 1-5 will be a good one go over to procedures you're at the airport tab okay go to the airport diagram here's our airport layout rock band one rod so we'll plan landing runway one five probably exit on mike taxi approach we'll do the rnap one five lpv 396 296 feet so we're going to put 300 feet in minimum and low nice so that's all loaded in there you so we have still been waiting on atc to get back to us but she has been going non-stop since we checked on i mean it is romeo i give her a lot of credit because she's working hard for her money [Music] you come over down here you also have the auto throttle and if you look over here this is your pressurization panel it has auto pressurization and then also number one that is the auto plant system the home safe system if you would ever have an issue with your pilot you can want to get on the ground safely it also has that one so this airplane is very well equipped with all the different auto systems that it has it's very important to always monitor make sure the airplane's still doing what you want it to do even though it should be able to take care of it on its own so right now if you look at the fuel gauges we got a little bit more fuel in the left tank compared to the right if you come down here you look the fuel selector that has an automatic timer or burning out of the right so we'd like to burn out of the left one thing we could do is come right up over here right here we hit that shift button it actually turns the fuel selector to the other side all right here we are coming up at lebel airplane's gonna turn left to one three one twenty-two and one second computer systems tell us there you can see here we start all right so they would normally want you to cross gilby at 4 000 along this route so here's our flight plan we're going to click that button right there i would come right on up here maybe 4 000 feet here at november looking since we're coming down pretty fast we'll just look out in front of us make sure there's no traffic down there below us zero advise direction of flight prior to taxi use caution for cranes that have been sent to the airport advisors for contact you have information lima alright we have information lima when we check on with the tower though we have the latest information which is updated every hour and we're going to be passing through 10 000 feet 225. so we're going to activate the approach here go to the procedure approach activating contact we actually confirmed that our minimums and since we're in that mode the airplane will turn over that direction we are vfr so we still have to remain within our cloud clearances looking good beautiful day out there and here we got the bumps now that we hit that cloud layer hopefully the viewers got their seat belts on and we'll go to a vfr altitude of 3500 feet since we're eastbound that's 1000 to go miami approach uh some kind of one thirty five hundred feet about twenty five miles northwest of popular like flight following to pompano so kinda one maintain vfr continue inbound to pompano and four three five seven on the coast so kind of one squawking 43.57 and then then continued vfr so the transplanter squawk now i'm going to be looking for 500 for traffic on 2 500 i'll see if i can do it 2 500 for one picture 2 500 uh two miles from heaven maintain 2000 until established all right we'll capture that my boss always says it reminds the passengers that they're flying you have somebody at our 12 o'clock 500 feet above us going the same direction that we can see here if you're checking in if you're checking keep an eye out for that i'm about to get busy 209 maintain 3 000. traffic 12 o'clock low three miles 12 o'clock we have a visual just came into the prop park there we go perfect speed one seven that should be no factor actually a good view of them off the left as he passes on both 10 o'clock and a mile they're beneath your 2100 use caution they're northbound if you look off the left wing right now where is that crashing process one two five point four so i went to manual mode with the auto throttle we're gonna scroll back we'll do one uh we're talking about now the throttle's gonna pull back and we'll slow it on up all right i can't get over how busy it 000. is how i'm keeping speed up down to 2 000 is there about 2 000 yes [Music] 170 sir perfect thanks i'm getting busy sorry maybe i'm not i just need more coffee i don't know i need more maybe a red bull so i have the airport out there in sight that's good kind of one there's going to be a full stop got it one thanks for four months from jimmy click for the r nav or loc one five approach maintain uh vfr look is the whole shorter one zero okay mike hold shorter one zero five i'm ready to pop it right there on kilo then kilo mike to uh november right kilo kilogram go first natural flaps and let's slow down to 100 knots clear to land clear to land good deal see right here out there in front of us that's the airport out there you're also going to see the goodyear blimp hanger over to the right of the runway you'll see the big hanger there we're about coming up at 1200 feet i'm gonna go full flaps selected now we're just watching and also making sure it's in the king look at the wings out there you'll also see the flaps coming down a little trick is i always usually like to keep my hand on the lever when i flip it and wait until it's in a cage and then it does and i didn't take it off just a little reminder for me so now we can come down to 85 knots our vraf speed i'll dial that back to 85 knots and the auto throw will probably keep around 23 24 power to a vera speed of 85 which is our 1.3 vso there's monitoring right now we're ready 85 dollars should put a little bit more power here there we go i'm actually going to disconnect the autopilot just so i can uh get a little have fun man you can't let the airplane have all the fun so i'm going to disconnect this autopilot stupid it's beautiful vfr keep it at 23 power and it will keep you on speed we have some gusty winds today just found the flight director right now 500 feet to the ground i got our crab angle right now grabbing a little bit sometimes over to the right with that wind as it goes around minimums minimums there's our minimums that's as low as we could went in that approach yup hey it's getting a little sporty out there with that went oh yeah you can do it i think i have hopefully have faith in myself let's see if one tango brow is a good trainer for private november yeah we'll see all right start throttling back and pitching above pitching above three degrees keep it under that was not actually bad at all we'll go back to the vader we're going to make mike just like we planned and breathe excellent chicago one right on mike and mike cross one zero to spot five look at one thank you i felt like that was a pretty good landing it was nice and smooth it was very nice with a gusty wind we had 19 knot headwinds and here's mike and we're cleared to taxi all the way to spot five of you all right okay we'll make a left face so the next time somebody flies this plane it is all ready to go for them excellent that's the one three out the tbm across in the shoreline four behind the airport runway one time well guys welcome to pompano beach it was so awesome to be able to have you guys on board today in the brand new 2021 tbm 940. right on mikey you guys like that video smash that thumbs up button guys on board night flight there is dyer out there in front of us where do you think we should park right underneath the air sign yeah all right caller on the right we definitely want to wreck a beautiful flight at the end of the flight here hitting something no way all right so we're going to park it right out here in the middle of the front of this hangar that's the one three alpha cross one at the shoreline again this time you'll follow pipe cherokee on a three and a half well three and a half mile final excellent perfect all right we'll shut [Music] down [Music] [Music] i just keep
