My Current respirator recommendations

hello so I thought it'd be worth doing a lot of people suggested it an updated sort of gas mask or respirator recommendation video and this one's not gonna really be sort of full NBC quality mask sort of military-style ones it's going to be a mix of things just because at the moment obviously masks are selling out everywhere so it's more to suggest different types of masks you can get a sort of price range so start from sort of cheapest and most expensive so on the cheapest nine ones you have sort of half face respirators we've got the JSP force eight here that's a very good mask for the price it's basically a free and quality mask but actually cheaper than three and masks when these are the our RP in the UK which bear in mind are probably inflating over now these are about twenty pounds or less for the ones that come with the P free P 100 particulate filters on them so very good for that price here's an MSA advantage for ten the thing I really like about this half face respirator is it takes standard 14 millimeter filters so Eva old military filters or um you know Rd 40 industrial filters it's not a brand specific type of filter like the jsps are in the free M's and all those so that's a big advantage for these the MSA one is generally I think more like 40 pounds in the UK and generally have to backorder them that's been a thing even for all the corona stuff recently so I bear that in mind that although he's the good masks they're not the easiest to get Scott avira's or vivaz why called a pretty good as well which is the Scott 40 millimeter version of this this is actually better in quality than a Scott one but if they're a similar price is not much in it so that's those so next moving up in price we have things like these panoramic masks I said there's these fairly decent quality made in China ones which basically just rip offs of 3m sort of masks they also do ones where they have the free m filter ports on the side and the 40 millimeter use blanking plugs to select which you want so that might be more versatile I don't have one of those some of them are like the same face pieces this mask I might run out fine but just always bear in mind if you're getting a mask that has lots of filter holes with blanking plugs don't lose the blanking plugs and you know make sure they're of a decent quality because I've always a can get in that way but yeah panoramic masks are good just simply because of the fact obvious you get why wide feet wide field-of-view and wearing them and they look less intimidating to other people because they can see more of your face if you're wearing them if you wanted to go really expensive on panoramic masks or when you can buy right now there's things like Scott Pro masks the Scott I'm 98 is Scott I'm 120 they're all the same family a mask for their very good very good voice diaphragms on those they're spicy on ETR 2002 is climax everyone's I believe it is this there's a lot different brands of sort of panoramic masks again work out what's sensibly in your budget range because as we've said before for most people if it's a mask you probably would very infrequently use don't blow the bank on the mask when you could use that money on more you know practical things in your life get something that's good enough you know spend enough that you get something that's good enough but don't go crazy was spending because you're going to get very diminishing returns especially if you don't need lots of features like drinking tubes and all that sort of stuff so there's that also around the same price is any of the old cheek filter masks now some of you might be going why the hell are you recommending cheap cheek filter masks that you hate them 70s your examples of BDM 17 series XM 28m Seventeen's i'd recommend more than the XM 28 just because they made the filters for them for longer this is a check em 10m there's also a regular check em 10 as the Polish mp4 mp4 be there's the Bulgarian PDE one I think I've got one on pretty sure that's the name of it but the point is there's quite a few different types of cheap filter masks around so via PBF so I don't know if the filters those contain asbestos the reason I'm recommending cheek filler masks is because the filters in sunny day if I unscrew one of these off a particulate protection and particle filters don't really expire so once they're in the mask you don't really have to worry about those filters expiring if you can see it in there that is the filter I've just got the call East German strict on NBC hood for this one on the chek m10 but yeah I'm not massive fan of cheek filter masks but if you for ever reason had a cheek filter surplus mask laying around or you're at a surplus store nearby selling them cheaply yeah for coronavirus type stuff they are good enough to swim because they've got particulate filters you know normally combined NBC filters and cheeks so chemical and you know NBC basically nuclear biological chemical but a particular bit it's a bit you need and then lastly I a great surplus mask so here's an Israeli amine but again if you guys really for anyone's there good enough as well people have been asking if they're about the same price which one of the two shall I get om 15 because it's the military model one it's bait made to be tougher basically thicker rubber better voice diaphragms all that but if they're if it's obviously twice the price for an M 15 and the for a one get a for anyone also for the people asking about children's gas masks the Israelis did do children's masks he'll still do it's basically two for a one civilian mask and smaller size I think it's called the junior or youth mask but basically it looks like it's just the size down for anyone so there's that what sort of a good military surplus masks that I said at the moment the prices are massively inflated but if you did want just a really good robust mask whatever reason that's NBC rated old surplus but I don't see old surplus but that surplus military masks in very good condition on the way to go simply because they've built a lot stronger because they were you know intended for actual use against chemical weapons and things like that not just you know like industrial use and stuff like that so that's my recommendation video as that it's not so much specific masks in this video it's just simply masks you might be able to get at different price points I don't really want to spoon-feed people because the issues I don't mind helping people if they say I've got this list I want to pick one the issues a lot of time in these videos I've been saying get this type of filter and people are saying yes but link me to the exact filter well I can't because I don't know which country you're in you know what ships to you what the prices are because sometimes when I've gone out my way to do that and people complain all the postage is too expensive or something like that so don't expect me to spoon-feed you and you know it wastes a lot of time when I can be answering people's comments that you know a very straightforward to answer or you know would greatly help them learn how to actually use a search engine you know there's there's nothing wrong with loading Amazon eBay is stuff like that up on different tabs and then searching similar things on there and in comparing prices and like feedback for the sellers and all the things like and reviews of the product but yeah so there's my suggestion a mask so this video stay safe everybody an important thing to know is you're only going to need two masks if you're going outside and you think it's an infected area or whatever in that regard cuz I had a lot of people going oh you're really paranoid you're crazy it's like well I'm not suggesting you wear these marks 24/7 around the house I'm just simply suggesting that you know if you had to go out to do an emergency food run also I think check on relatives and things got really really bad you don't want to respirate so there you go that's my suggestion for this video hopefully it's helpful yeah stay safe everybody and I guess follow the news on different sources so you know you can
