Mossberg 590M Big Game Hunt

Hickok 45 here and this is slamfire my buddy he's gonna do this video with us okay and we'll see what he thinks about the shotgun all right you think you wanna shoot this one what about a guy we think of this shotgun huh what'd you think of it it's a Mossberg you know 590 mm you're not impressed it takes this big magazine it takes this big magazine and you're just gonna lie down what a boom what a bone you don't want to shoot it he's not impressed he's hard to impress right well anyway we're gonna do a big-game hunt okay with a shotgun we've not done a big-game hunt you know a new series with a shotgun no this is the getting a 590 m Jon's gonna tell you all about this where he already has she may have seen that video if it's been posted already the first video with this it's not being posted I bet you have not seen it but I was in the mood go ahead and do a big-game hunt with it and so I've loaded up these two magazines this one holds ten this one holds 20 we're shooting federal slugs here supposedly low recoil you know right and we're gonna sling those over there and see if we can knock down some animals sure are and we appreciate the help of buds gun shop where this came from Bud's gun shop calm go to that website check them out you're not a member of the NRA join go down to the description join at a discount and as I'm standing here today in this environment and I won't tell you what the date is but it's a day before the NRA meeting annual meeting in Dallas and we'll be going to that in a few days so we're looking forward to that and we might see so many of you there in fact here we go again we might have already seen some of you there if we did it was good to see you okay so no foolishness I'm gonna knock down some animals the cats out of range now he came in here is you know cats are oh they don't hang around very long but I thought you know a lot of people hunt with a shotgun and so you know it's perfectly normal to do that in some places you have to so we're gonna try with this I've taken a couple of shots and it does print hi but I can allow for that I have contacted the Governor of Kentucky asked if it'd be okay if I use Kentucky windage and elevation today and I have permission from Kentucky so we're gonna use some old Kentucky windage here and just knock down these 22 animals if we can without using a hundred and twenty two slugs so again if you're not familiar with our big-game hunt over here all we shoot are the big game nothing else and I get to choose what looks like the most inviting target first to me and I kind of like to start down at the the bottom and work my way up because I really enjoy hitting those big buffaloes and sheep and Rams so I'll do that with this and I might be some missing I apologize but you do really have to hold kind of low all right safety is right there on a Mossberg as you know so let's try that pig and a low right if I miss I'll probably shoot high or low or left or right one thing for sure they don't hesitate much work on it get that turkey look at that pig over on the right - Wow slaps him off there get that pig right there whoa I'm not sure got him though and that one on the left is sort of hiding knocked him off there whoo I'm gonna get that pig up above him it went higher low we're empty so that was a 10-round magazine okay got your release there Wow big old slugs you know me I love to sling slugs though now we have 20 of them in a magazine so if I can't finish them off with this it's kind of bad although I am having to use Kentucky windage I do have a little bit of an excuse of his shot guns are definitely plenty accurate to never miss here they really are you've seen us shoot a lot of them out here and if the sights are on or or I have to a whole little bit lower than I like to tell you the truth but and I don't have a oh I don't know a hundred percent zoned and zeroed in point of aim but I'm pretty close to knowing where to hold so let's go there and get that turkey on the right and we'll sweep across to the left [Applause] okay like a little more weight this time that was high bring it down son reflect on some of them all right mr. pig all right let's get that pig on the left up there [Music] thought I went low but I think that one went high yeah everyone hi okay I saw that one bring it down I mean it's very consistent I just I just need to see where it's going yeah all right now we got some bigger game let us take the pig out up there first and that turkey over there well I mean rounds we got left let's take a look oh it's just a couple well I almost depleted my resources huh let's take out this sheep got a couple of rounds for them now we're up to need a couple more well wouldn't you know it okay there's three I think I'd be enough go ahead and put five in because you know I'm capable of missing but I again I will say and those who have been following our escapades here I use the 10 round then I rinse Capades with shotguns know that Wow one of the things we have demonstrated over the years and I've enjoyed making you aware of I guess you'd say is the accuracy of these plain old foster slugs on a smoothbore shotgun it always has surprised me and I mean I could take one of my other shotguns and probably not miss at all or work with this a little bit more yeah I gotta brag on myself I'm bragging on shotguns they're just the way more accurate than a lot of people give them credit okay yeah we've got the biggest game all right this called me Buffalo Bill let's get that one on the right yeah he he doesn't like to fall it doesn't matter a slug get you boom alright oh there's still a pig over there well I thought I shot him Wow y'all weren't watching almost let me leave that rascal huh that was your fault so anyway big game hunt got them all down took more rounds than it really should have but it's fun that's the main thing you actually get to have more fun if you miss some I've kind of pointed that out a few times I won't say or go so far as to say I miss on purpose so I have more fun more shooting but the others then advantage to everything and when you miss a few that just means you get to shoot more okay see got a look at the positive side of everything so ever they want a Mossberg of no surprise it will do the job it's just that well now this is with the beat front sight and everything and no no rear sight you line them up being pretty much hit what you want I know my very first 590 I had wooden stock back in the 80s printed high -
