The Ultimate 590 Mossberg Shockwave

[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] look ladies and gentlemen this is the Mossberg 590 shock wave now this is not a new firearm oh no means or any means however you say that but it is kind of new to me now I've got quite a few accessories on this little setup let's go over the Mossberg shockwave has been out now for probably a couple of years now and I actually bought my Mossberg shockwave probably about seven months ago now when I bought the shotgun I had full intentions of customizing it as you can see here now this is a non NFA item so it's it's kind of different I think it's legal in every single state besides California the the grip now how the grip from the original when it comes from the store out of the box I did not like the handle whatsoever it wasn't that it was bad to shoot is just kind of difficult to shoot since then I have got the Brownells boon kit package which includes a barrel now this is a 14 inch barrel it is ported and this ported barrel really really helps to reduce some of the muzzle rise it does have a fiber octave front bead right here so it makes it really easy for you to pick up and it does come with a brace right here on the rear and also a pistol grip this will really give you three points of contact when shooting this little setup and it works out perfect now I've put hundreds and hundreds of rounds through this shotgun at this point and you've probably noticed at the beginning of the video that I've fired eight rounds that's when a track if peace to this setup is that you can hold a lot of shotgun shells with the new shotgun shell technology I was shooting shorty shells eight shot now we're gonna be shooting some other federal slugs here in a minute and some federal number four buckshot but those word number eight shot and you can hold eight plus one in this little configuration now if you shoot your shorty shells you have to have this adapter alright this adapter right here this is the opsal adapter you can pretty much get this guy a lot of different places online it's fairly inexpensive like ten or twelve bucks I paid for this little rubber piece right here and this will allow you to shoot those little bitty shorty shells out of your mouths Berg shockwave another cool accessory that I have on this little setup is this little Crimson Trace saddle now this is a perfect little accessory for this firearm because it will give you a green laser okay and it's got the Cleary buttons right here on the side that have a texture on them so if you do have a bump in the night and you want to turn this laser on no matter if you hit this one or this one or this one any of these three will turn it on now as I mentioned earlier in the video that it is kind of difficult to aim this shotgun if you want something to help you out a little bit better I would consider one of these little Crimson Trace saddles but I'm gonna shoot some with the saddle with the laser on and some with it off I have got eight rounds of federal shorty shells these are the one out slugs traveling at 1,200 feet per second so they are moving alright let's hit that target right there a lot of energy all right let's go out at 100 all right so now I'm going to turn on the laser and I'm going to attempt to hit that silhouette on the other side of the creek at 50 yards with a with a one-out slug nailed it note it more hit this one right here so yes it is a perfect little aiming tool with a shotgun that is kind of difficult to aim not only do I have number 8 shot slugs now I've got some number 4 now these have 15 pellets in these little bitty shorty shells now I would consider these for home defense the recoil is about 1/2 of what those slugs are so the recoil is not bad at all out of these guys so let's load up some and let's shoot some still I'm curious how far I can actually hit still with these guys like I said it's 15 pellets I wonder if I can hit still at 50 yards with them but if I was going to use this setup for home defense which I am I will be having these number 4s in it not slugs or number 8 all right let's go with the silhouette this challenge target right there all right that was about 35 yards let's go out here at 50 see if I can hear still ringing oh I did hit it not bad at this 14 inch barrel 60 yards oh I hit it something all right man this little setup if anything is just fun one more thing before we do some more shooting and in this video the red dot on here is the Crimson Trace CTS 1400 this optic is designed for shotguns I have had this optic on here for probably about mmm about six months I have fired hundreds of rounds of slugs buckshot and birdshot and it is held zero so it is taking a beating and done very well now the rail I got this little rail right here on Amazon for like 12 bucks so the top rail right here is you know quite inexpensive let's load up some slugs slap some more still let's call it a day alright now that the Sun has went behind some tree limbs turn this laser on 60 yards and you do have to be careful about short Chuck in the Mossberg shockwave say I'm short Chuck it let's go out of the hundred nailed it alright let's see if I can hit one of these little flapper these little childish started dueling trees down here that's pretty good accuracy that's 50 yards with a rifle slug Oh shot right above it I got one more see if I can flip it around oh yes so the Mossberg 590 shockwave I kind of dig it whether you want to purchase one of these guys to go out to the range width and just have fun or use it for you know self defense for home
